A fellow BCer brought this to my attention: potUS Imam-a has caused the Tuscon shootings to be considered Federal offenses rather than let Arizona bring the charges to fruition. In short, potUS Imam-a has basically granted Jared Loughner exemption/immunity from the death penalty. Our tax dollars will feed the s-o-b forever ..... and Loughner, too. Oh, the s-o-b I'm referring to would be the legal team that will represent him continuously for whatever they can dream up. Wonder how many of the attorneys are from Chicago?

While I'm glad, no, ecstatic, that Mayor OBamalinson recognizes that SPLOST/LOST tax revenues are not static nor accurately projectable, and should not be counted until they are 'in the house' (let's hope, no, pray that Cathy Williams is as astute on this before the MCSD board starts spending its SPLOST revenues it's counting on to pay for its expenditures and finds out it will be very short when the 5 year window closes).

On the other hand, this statement from Mayor Obamalinson bothers me - From the L-E: "Your bonds, like property taxes, are typically a more steady and secure investment. They can sort of be your safety net, but they don’t bring a great amount of appreciation to the table,” -- Bonds, like our home values, can depreciate in cash value which is what makes late buyers get seemingly higher dividend yields, but the long term holder will suffer. The city does not adjust the property tax assigned based on current market value.
