What the mass media is doing concerning the Arizona shootings is despicable. They are trying to blame talk radio and conservative politicians rather than the person who aimed his gun and pulled the trigger. Jared Loughner the only person to blame.

Random comments is L-E story on CSU's new Student Spa:
"The center is the result of students voting to raise their recreation activity fees by $125 a semester.* “We asked the students what they wanted and gave it to them,” * “It’s a good way for students to get to know professors, being around them in an informal setting " -- Just proof that academia has lost it. If students want drugs and alcohol on campus (which they'd probably "vote for") is the administration going to provide it for them. Besides, since when do you ask students (versus parents) about raising fees to get 'candy'? I know, why not ask the students if they would like to get A's for every course whether they deserve them or not; they'd probably even vote for an extra $200.00 "fee" per semester for that, too!

David Nelson.. remember him? Ricky's brother? Ozzie and Harriet's oldest? He passed at age 74. No offense, Bob Hope, but 'thanks for the memories', too, David Nelson.

L-E headline: "Obama says polarized nation needs healing " -- And a good place to start would be from the Oval Office.
---
L-E editirial summation: "The Parks and Recreation flap is hardly the first evidence that the Columbus Consolidated Government’s accountability net has some enormous holes. Those holes have appeared and grown over many years, and there’s plenty of blame to go around. Closing them should be among the new city leadership’s first orders of business. " -- Let's start with the LOST revenues for "public safety" and "infrastructure". Expenditures should be limited to what is actually received per annum, and strict guidelines need to be put in writing to eliminate spending abuses.

Tom Stryker's and David L. Lord's "letters" today are right on. While they prepared us with the limitations imposed by the L-E (at least for conservative opinions), one they should have included was Hollywood's Chris Rock's demand that President Bush and his entire family be taken out and killed.

L-E headline: " U.S. warns Beijing over currency " -- Now this is truly a pot trying to call a kettle black!
---
L-E headline: " Lower corn and soybean output sends prices surging " -- Ooops, my bad. Thought they were talking about gasoline prices... again.
