The U.S. Constitution was read aloud in the U.S. House. When you think about how the education system has truncated and revised history, it may have been the first time many of the Representatives have ever heard/read it. This is "CHANGE" we can express "HOPE" in.
---
It's already started. Just like her political idol, Mayor Teresa Obamalinson is trying to redistribute the wealth by using tax dollars to improve private properties. Well we have seen how trying to redistribute the wealth has worked (NOT!) for the past 2 years, but I guess she feels the mantra of the liberal, that the right person just hasn't been in charge of it.
---
Personal note: If private properties are substandard and the City wants to improve them, then the City should follow legal procedures to attain the property FIRST, THEN fix, and Then sell it back to a private citizen at the new value.
---
Another thing...Crime prevention doesn't actually start with more police on the beats, but with prompt due process, and prompt enforcement and the carrying out of sentences. Seeing the consequences while the crime is still fresh is still the best crime prevention. Ask a child who's experienced fair and prompt punishment for lying or taking other's property.

A 14 year old student had his iPhone and hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards stolen from an unlocked locker at Hardaway. Question: Why would a high school student have all that stuff with him? Observation: This was probably the kids best day of education ever.
---
L-E story: "Gunshots shattered a window on a portable at Kendrick High School Tuesday night" -- Having been in a 'portable', it was probably a teacher putting his/her classroom 'out of its misery'.
---
If a criminal (and his current lawyer) are making an appeal of a sentence based on the claim that the previous attorney did not represent the criminal well, then the previous attorney should be named so he/she can defend his/her role and actions, AND the public would be more in tune with how tax dollars are being wasted either in the original portion of the process or in the subsequent portion. Either way, the lawyer deemed wasteful should reimburse the system for what was wasted.
---
I have put my hands on a print copy of the L-E in a while, but today, I picked up one, and it looks like the L-E has entered the micro-world. Guess the size of the L-E now matches the depth of its news coverage...pretty shallow.
