Ever hear those ads telling us to be prepared for austerity and chaos by buying vegetable (unengineered, non-hybrid type) seeds? I'm curious...even if a have a ton of seeds at hand when chaos hits, how will that help me at the time? Won't I have to plant, farm, and wait for harvest season before my family and I could benefit from having them on hand? Wouldn't we probably starve to death long before the crops come in?
