From a political newsletter: '"A few days ago, the regime that rules Iran, designated by the U.S. State Department as the world's most active state sponsor of terrorism, held what it called the First International Conference on the Global Fight against Terrorism. The U.S. and Israel were singled out as "satanic world powers" with a "black record of terrorist behaviors." -- And Emperor O'Bozo wants to further estrange our relationship with Israel..what does he think will happen...that Ahmadine-Jihad will ask him over for a play-date if he'll get rid of Israel?

Online headline: "Dog Found 2,800 Miles From Home" -- Ooops, my bad. Thought someone had spotted Jose Baez in the Pacific Northwest.
---
The saddest thing about the CRCT cheating scandal is that not only are the schools failing the students, but an old adage has been reinforced... "Those who can...those who can't...."
---
Online headline: "Obama: I'm Sure Boehner 'Will See The Light' On Infrastructure Bill " -- Now Emperor O'Bozo, a man who can't see past the tip of his nose, is now claiming to be a visionary?
---
From the 'suspicions confirmed' department - Online headline: "Obama Holds Twitter Town Hall At White House" -- It's now official, Emperor O'Bozo has confirmed what we already knew.. he will forever be known as "the Big Twit".
---
What's with the surge of attorneys advertising for Mesothelioma ? I thought asbestos was pretty much condemned 40-50 years ago.

From a L-E story: "On a lighter note, it’s been 96 years since a pastor has led Downtown Rotary. And the pastors are from the same congregation. In 1915, the Rev. L.R. Christie of First Baptist Church served as president. Until next summer, the Rev. Jimmy Elder of First Baptist will lead the 200-member group." -- Rotary is in for the best year of its existence!
---
From the "huh?" departmet - L-E headline: "Smiths Station veteran firefighter Angelia D. Curran faces three counts of embezzling funds * Deputy chief to remain on board at Smiths Station department" -- Again, "huh?"
----
Another from the 'suspicions confirmed' department - From L-E story: "Attorney for the Muscogee County School District Jorge Vega told the school board Wednesday evening that school board district lines will have to be redrawn because of, what he called, significant population changes according to the 2010 census. * He told the board that the district populations are supposed to be close to equal. In this case, he said, that means 23,735 people in each district" -- Once again, the MCSD board represents the all the people of Columbus, not just students, and not just School System 'wants'.

The CRCT results "divide" is not because of something new. It began, and is still being empowered, by taking the students out of their neighborhoods, and making good parent/teacher relationships next to impossible. End the busing, and change teacher assignment policies. Put well balanced staffs in the schools/classrooms, and let overall school performance determine pay level increases. If the staff co-operates successfully with each other, the students get a better role model environment, and a better educational experience.---

L-E headline: "Shooting at Internet cafe leaves 1 dead, 1 injured" -- Guess the next feature on "Facebook" will be a 'Mug Shot" section.
---
L-E headline: "Bomb implants may be new terror tactic * Scans unable to detect explosives hidden in humans" -- Sorta makes the jobs and arrogance of TSA futile. Perhaps 'profiling' will be a better method of screening than removing the 'diaper' of 95 year old grandmothers, 'frisking' 4 year old children.
---
L-E headline: "President to send condolence letters on troop suicides " -- Isn't this somewhat 'too late'?
---
L-E headline: "Editorial * ‘Educators’ who cheated should be out the door" -- As should Parks&Rec execs, Civic Center execs, and City Manager execs etc....and so should their pension plans!
---
From L-E story: "  When T__ T_____ decided to go into the nightclub business, he wanted to create a place that was “classy.” * Wednesdays will be Coyote Ugly nights, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m." -- Excuse me, but "Classy" and "Coyote Ugly" in the same story has no resemblance to the dictionary definition of 'Classy'.
---
Open letter to the MCSD board:

Hope this doesn't alter your position, but am glad to see y'all examining expense centers, and modifying prior practices to pass on the expense of private users to pay for use of school facilities by non-school organizations.

Groups should be thankful that we have such facilities, and a policy that allows use of such facilities, but it is not fair to ask other citizens to have their tax dollars used for non-school activities. For all intent and practices, $400.00 probably doesn't actually cover a nightly rental of a school auditorium (utilities/set-up/breakdown/clean up), but it is a start on stopping the bleeding. Richard Hyatt just demonstrated his lack of vision.
