Onlinbe headline/story: "Minnesota Shutdown 2011: State Government Shuts Down * The Democratic governor and state GOP lawmakers had been engaged in contentious talks to close the state's $5 billion budget gap * "I really believe I've done everything I possibly could and offered everything I could possibly think of," said Dayton addressing the state of the negotiations from his office on Thursday night" -- Obviously the governor attended the Emperor O'Bozo 'school of economics', and it really is everything he can do about it.

While Emperor O'Bozo whines about taxing corporate jets and wealthy corporations more, he hasn't talked about ending the sweetheart tax breaks Clinton engineered for the entertainment and sports fields to defer large annual income over a number of years.

L-E headline/story: "Sheriff: East Wing entrance to Government Center to close * Those wishing to visit the Government Center must now do so through the South Entrance." --
It's amazing how when 'the government' has to make cuts in budget items, it does so by finding ways to inconvenience the public. There are two South Entrances..one on the Plaza Level that hasn't been used in recent years (and is not handicap friendly) and one on ground level. Most of us have been through the ground level entrance and know it is inadequate to process many people at any one time even when the 3rd Ave entrance is open. Surely, our Council can come up with another way to cut costs without further inconveniencing the private citizens who need to get to government office.

Meanwhile, back at the TSA 'ranch', a 95 year old, cancer-stricken, wheel chair bound grandmother was made to remove her 'adult diaper'. Why bother with pre-flight patdowns if TSA is only going to inconvenience legitimate passengers while the terroristic minded can get on a flight anyway.

Emperor O'Bozo chided the Senate to resume work by saying he was still here doing his work of making tough decisions on spending... Yeah, like whether to vacation in Hawaii or Martha's Vineyard.
