The budget guidelines include retaining an operating millage rate at 23.37 mils, if possible, while maintaining a 16-day fund balance," -- "16 day fund balance"? No wonder most of our kids have no idea how to operate once they leave high school... the MCSD has too little money set aside for maintenance & depreciation, and a fund balance equivalent to depending on the next paycheck.

The Expedia civil suit has not been necessary; it's just a tool for the lawyers involved. The City could have filed a criminal complaint, and the State's prosecutor could have gone after Expedia for not reporting/paying the proper amount of sales taxes. Expedia is responsible for accurately reporting its sales and collecting/submitting the proper taxes on such amounts.

Thank goodness Council was unanimous of handling the overturn of the Personnel Review Board. Hope Council reviews the members of that board and makes further unanimous decisions.

Bob Beckel, political opportunist, DIM&DUMBERat analyst/strategist, and cynical liberal Fox News commentator, was irritated at Newt Gingrich describing potUS O'Blather as 'the most dangerous president of modern times'. I don't think I remember any DIM&DUMBERat analyst/strategist ever being upset at similar descriptions of Barry Goldwater or Newt Gingrich as presidential candidates. Guess we have to consider the source of the comments, and Newt is by far the better history analyst.
