Online story: " former nurse left in her will her $400,000 condo to the homeless, asking for it to be turned into a shelter * She specified that if the 525-square-foot condo wasn't suitable for a shelter, the city could sell it and use the money to fight homelessness" -- Aside from the protest I'm sure her condo-owners's association is sure to put up, this just highlights WHY there's a major homeless problem in Modesto, CA; imagine owning a $400,000.00 mortgage on 21 X 25 shed?

L-E headline/story: "Judge denies aging appeal in 1994 death penalty case * (Ward Anthony) Brockman, meanwhile, claimed the gun discharged accidentally after Lynn failed to hand over his cash." -- "gun discharges accidentally"? Never owned a gun that didn't require some action involving motion of the trigger. Maybe there are valid claims of not intentionally pulling the trigger, but there are no accidents.

Online story: "An online pawnbroker dumped hundreds of Butterfinger candy bars in Boston's Copley Square on Tuesday with a note: "Thank you (New England Patriot receiver) Wes Welker." -- Now Boston has its "Bill Buckner" for football as well as baseball.
---
Online story: "SAN DIEGO — San Diego prosecutors won't file criminal charges against Kobe Bryant after reviewing allegations by a man who accused the Los Angeles Lakers star of injuring him during a scuffle at church." -- Hmmm, guess the prosecutor had decided it would be tough convincing a jury the Kobe actually attended a church.

The latest from www.barackobama.com:

Subject: t: We will not play by two sets of rules"

-- At least potUS O'Blather is half honest, only he doesn't say which set of the rules he will by...I think I know as well as y'all know.
---
L-E story: "SAN FRANCISCO — Same-sex marriage moved one step closer to the Supreme Court on Tuesday when a federal appeals court ruled California’s ban unconstitutional, saying it serves no purpose other than to “lessen the status and human dignity” of gays. " -- Why would a case such as this be given to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeal anyway?
---
L-E story: "Woods: Change rule about long putters * “My idea was to have it so that the putter would be equal to or less than the shortest club in your bag,” Woods said. " -- Of course, Tiger would never suggest that all the drives in a group must be returned back to the shortest distance of the groups tee shots.
