I also am starting to believe that we were forced to have an elected vs appointed school board (I know Columbus voted for it, BUT even if Columbus had voted "NO", state law mandated it the following year), then once the MCSD board has selected a School Superintendent, then we voters should be able to vote on keeping or firing the Superintendent every 2 years.

No matter how you parse the perceived shortcomings or the politics of Columbus, Columbus is a great place to live and raise a family. Columbus is big enough to have one of most anything that interests you, and close enough to Atlanta is you want more choices for a moment. In addition, we're but 4 hours to the Gulf and 4 hours to the mountains of North Carolina.

All for the lack of a pickle or lettuce on a turkey sandwich, government confiscated a child's lunch, substituted it with fried processed chicken parts, AND...AND sent a bill home with the child for the school lunch! Unfortunately, this is not an isolated situation, and can occur here in MCSD.
