The Susan G. Komen decision to end redistributing its revenues to Planned Parenthood is causing an uproar among select groups, but the question of Komen giving other people's donations to Planned Parenthood for a program of free/low cost breast exams was suspect at best. Women in need of a free/low cost breast exam have other choices for such, but why would Planned Parenthood be in such 'business' without it being for ulterior motives. I hardly think one organization can legitimately be concerned with privately saving a woman's life while publicly promoting the death of that same woman's fetus.

L-E headline: "Baskets of rocks will replace concrete in wall at Weracoba Creek" -- Where are the protectors of Lakebottom? Whether the 'baskets of rocks" work, or even work better than a concrete wall is not the only issue. Esthetically, the baskets will not blend in or be a visual improvement in any sense of the concept of preserving such a high visibility area of Columbus. The tire wall at Peach Little League "worked" for its intended purpose, but the area suffered more because the eyesore appearance negated the effectiveness of the used tires.

On another point: If the wire baskets allow water to seep back into the creek, then those same wire baskets will allow water movement to penetrate the soil behind the wire baskets and continually erode the road bed during high/flood water conditions.

Online headline: "Massive Blizzard Headed For Denver" -- Ooops, my bad. Thought potUS O'Blather was heading to Colorado to put a chill on the Republican primary.
---
L-E headline: "Senate passes legislation on insider trading ban" -- One more law needs to be added: If you served as the chair or co-chair of any committee setting regulations or monitoring such, then this bill is retro-active to the day you were sworn into either chamber of Congress, and all profits gained be turned over to reduced the National Debt.

L-E headline: "Sandia Labs engineers create ‘self-guided’ bullet " -- Oooooohhh. Can't you see the defense attorneys ready to pounce on
this as a way to get their clients off? "Mr & Mrs Jury members, my client's completely innocent because he was aiming the bullet at his own head, BUT the bullet had a mind of its own and hit his poor departed wife."

L-E headline/story: "ALABAMA GAMBLING TRIAL * GOP leader helps pay Dem’s lawyers * Senate President Pro Tem Del Marsh of Anniston donated $5,000 from his campaign fund to the legal defense fund for Sen. Quinton Ross of Montgomery" -- "from his campaign fund"? What abuse! IRS should jump down on this as Marsh has personally stated he converted political donations to personal use.
