I guess it was OK to be wrapped up in guessing the gender for the royal birth, but in no case is it acceptable to be demonstratively upset if you were wrong.

---

Hey, somebody keep a record of the new prince's birth certificate! Who knows when the DUMBERats might need a celebrity candidate to run for president in the future.

---

Online story: "A number of top-level celebrities are reportedly following in Stevie Wonder's footsteps and plan to boycott Florida in protest of the state's "Stand Your Ground" laws. The list, which was first reported by AURN's April Ryan and credited a "a source close to Wonder," includes the likes of Madonna, Usher, Kanye West, Jay Z, Rihanna and Rod Stewart. "-- Hmmm, Florida should make this a mutual deal and ban radio, TV, cable, internet, CD, and MP3 playing of any of their songs/videos/movies. I wouldn't be surprised that Florida's murder, drug, and teenage pregnancy rates went down as well. Win-win!

---

Online story: "Geraldo Rivera Tweets Shirtless Selfie" -- Am omitting the actual picture, but once and for all, Geraldo confirms my contention that all he's ever been is a "big twit".

---

Online headline: "President Obama welcomes royal baby " -- Ooops, my bad.. Thought Judas 00-bama might have photo-shopped himself into Kate's delivery room.

---

Online story: "A judge (Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson, Judas 00-bama appointee - remember her name in case she gets nominated for a 'promotion') has ruled a federal prison in Terre Haute has 30 days from Friday to allow Muslim inmates group prayer anytime they are out of their cells. * The order is a clarification of a January ruling that indicated the prison’s policy prohibiting Muslim inmates from participating in group prayer was a violation of federal law." -- Our kids can't assemble in school and have a Christian prayer... but prisoners can assemble in prison 5 times a day. This is wrong.

---

Online headline: "Abu Ghraib Prison Break: Hundreds Of Detainees, Including Senior Al Qaeda Members, Escape Facility" -- Hmm, maybe this would be a good time for the military to release all those pictures (uncensored of course) of the "abused" prisoners so the ones that escaped will be embarrassed to commit suicide.

---

Online headline/story: "Price of Victory: Phil Mickelson Hit With 61% Tax Bite on UK Winnings * On top of that, Mickelson has to pay UK tax on a portion of his endorsement earnings in Scotland. Any bonuses he receives for winning these tournaments and moving up in the rankings will also be taxed at 45 percent. * And that doesn't exhaust Michelson's tax liabilities from his British triumph. He won't have to pay federal taxes on these winnings, thanks to a foreign tax credit, but the exemption doesn't apply to self-employment taxes, the Medicare surtax, or his home state of California's 13.3 percent take." -- And on top of all this, he has to return the Claret Jug before the next British Open! Maybe he ought to 'loan' the Claret Jug to Chicago for a parade, and see how many bullet holes the street thugs can shoot into it before Phil goes back.

---

What's going on with our Mayor here in Columbus? Things are too quiet for her to be up to any good. She bypassed the normal sales tax distributions on Whitewater by negotiating a fee that cuts out the MCSD and our Public Safety LOST, is still trying to get rid of the property value freeze , and is desperately trying to run us into huge debt on a high speed train wreck system .

---

The NSA is lying to us when it says it's not looking at our e-mail or listening in on our calls, and at the same time, the NSA says the program is working to control terrorism. How come the NSA didn't stop Boston or the Cuban weapons being shipped to Korea?

---

No matter what the subject, when Fox News reports something that Judas 00-bama has or hasn't done, there's a new spinmeister on Fox as a "denier" and "splainer". Do we really know how many people he personally has on the payroll?

---

I think I've found a way to dodge media, NSA, IRS, and DUMBERat Party campaign intrusions. If I changed my name to Ben Ghazi......

---

There were Trayvon Martin demonstrations all over the country this past weekend. There were 7 black murders in Chicago thus weekend as well. What about this problem, Judas & Al & Jesse?

---

A Republican Congressman is floating a balloon that he "may" be open to some government help for Detroit. Is this a trick question... there are no Republican politicians in Michigan.

---

Pundits say that Detroit's ills are due to it spending $100,000,000.00 more annually than it has had income coming in for the past 8 years. Excuse me, but that's no where close to the $20 BILLION dollar debt Detroit has run up. Guess that's from the accumulated interest rates from mafia loans.

---

There's a TV ad for a company that will "help" you get Social Security Disability. "It's your right!", the spokesman spiels. "RIGHT"? It's an entitlement program! In fact, it's an entitlement program that doesn't require you've been contributing into it; doesn't care whether you're even a citizen or not! No way it's a "right"... it's a WRONG and a disaster!

---

From the "it should only happen in California, but it doesn't" department - Online horror story: "Bruce Malkenhorst took home more than $911,000 a year as city manager of the tiny city of Vernon. His reign ended shortly before he was convicted of misappropriating public funds, and he walked away with an annual pension that eventually topped $500,000, the largest in the California Public Employees' Retirement System. * But CalPERS last year decided to cut his pension to $115,000, concluding he'd derived some of his hefty salary improperly. * So now the 78-year-old Malkenhorst is suing Vernon to make up the difference. His lawyers are making a novel if improbable argument: Because it paid him a high salary, the city is responsible for keeping his retirement benefits at the higher level even though CalPERS balked." -- Elected officials should not be eligible for a pension plan... at any level of politics! An elected position should be a service, not a career.

---

Absurd claim in a headline: "Washington can learn from Detroit's fate ... if it's willing" -- It's absurd because Detroit LEARNED from Washington... it's more absurd because Herman Cain penned this headline.

---

Insanity! Why does the MCSD 'feel' keeping Phillips on as an assistant is a good thing for the children and the new superintendent? A few years ago, the MCSD couldn't wait to be rid of Phillips, then it rehired him as an 'interim' to replace his replacement, and now the MCSD board wants to let him influence the new superintendent? We need all the school district elections to be held in the same election cycle so "we' can completely clean house!

---

Speaking of Phillips.. a few years ago, there was an uprising about out-of-county and out-of-state MCSD students not paying the fees to attend Columbus schools. It was especially blatant that the MCDSD board turned it's head on the children of teachers living out of Muscogee County being "exempt" (as a perk). After the dust settled, and new policies were confirmed, a source of good authority says Phillips has no interest in enforcing the collection of such fees. An audit of this should be initiated NOW.

---

One thing the MCSD board has not thought about is that by keeping Phillips around to "help" the new guy, the new guy will get an earful of Phillips' opinions about each and every board members quirks, weaknesses, and which buttons to pull or push to get a reaction.

---

Bottom of the scale low-info L-E "soundoff": "It’s ironic that the same people who are so determined to curtail abortions will not spend a penny when it comes to child welfare or assistance to needy families." -- Obviously this guy/gal has never paid a dime in taxes, and gets tax credits to get a more refunded than he/she had withheld.

---

From L-E's "Today in History": "In 2011, singer Amy Winehouse, 27, was found dead in London from accidental alcohol poisoning." -- When liberals' rewrite history, nothing is exempt... there is nothing accidental about pouring too much alcohol into one's body. A choice is made each time the container is pressed to one's lips... do I or do I not.

---

I see Jack Tidwell has a letter in the L-E today. Guess he didn't realize his name would also appear in a potential scandal before he started throwing stones.

---

Another L-E "writer" expresses his concern for not enough 'nannyism' is employed for children walking home after school. I imagine DFCS would have gone after my parents (if DFCS existed then) had it known I rode my bicycle to school in reasonable weather.. even crossed Buena Vista and Wynnton Roads by myself (no electronic buttons for me, I learned how to cross a street from my parents and grandparents).

---

L-E story: " DAHLONEGA, Ga. — The rumble of Humvees and the buzz of choppers are already commonplace to the neighbors of Camp Merrill, an elite Army base in the rolling hills north of Dahlonega. * The Army wants to take over a 282-acre swath of land that it leases from the Forest Service to train Army Rangers." -- Rolling hills... forests... obviously the Army is getting vibes that it's next assignment won't be the barren expanse of the mid-east...

---

L-E headline: "ACC official: Clowney should have been ejected from Outback " -- Ooops, my bad.. thought some elitist didn't like Clowney's table manners.

---

L-E story: "Qatar-based Al-Jazeera, formed in 1996, has expanded quickly around the world but struggled to gain access to U.S. cable and satellite systems. At the beginning of this year, it bought former Vice President Al Gore’s Current TV, giving the company access to some 50 million homes initially" --  Initial access to 50,000,000 homes? Well, I guess maybe if you count bird and squirrel nests since all the audience Gore had was either bird-brained or squirrely at best.

---

Following several weeks of stabilizing lower, the L-E's "Foreclosure Section has soared back. How's that for an improving market?
