Standing "O" for the jury in the Zimmerman trial. They were honorable,
brave, and courageous. Now, let's hope the voters of Dade County/Jacksonville
will be the same the next time the prosecutorial team asks to be
re-elected.
---
You know, if the women on the Zimmerman jury first find Zimmerman "not
guilty.. by reason of self defense", then it really can't find him guilty of
'manslaughter either. Self defense in one incident stays constant in all
scenarios.
---
McLatchy headline: "Texas Senate passes controversial abortion bill" --
What's "controversial"? Is it controversial to ask a woman to make such a choice
before the baby can survive outside the uterus? Is it controversial to be
concerned for a woman's health so she might have another shot at motherhood
should God favor her in the future? Is it controversial that the facility she
"chooses" is equipped to handle health emergencies? The only thing I see as
"controversial" is why anyone would allow, or be against, end-of-term partial
birth abortions. Our God is as merciful as He is omnipotent. He will know the
and deal one-on-one with the women throughout their lives, and forgive when
forgiveness is sought.
---
From a fellow BCer:This covers 99.99% of America's problem areas -
---
Legal experts are lamenting the behavior if the prosecutors.. and they are
too kind. The experts should be disgusted with the prosecution's strategies and
actions. The prosecution is suppose to promote and protect the sanctity of our
laws, not tiptoe around the letter of such laws.
---
Zimmerman's lawyers should have filed a subpoena the NSA records of the
phone call made to Jeantel.
---
Written before the verdict- Regardless of the outcome of the Zimmerman
trial, the Columbus L-E needs to support another "hoodie" march. This time the
theme should be "You've been hoodie-winked".
---
It's been a big week for Judas 00-bama. He's thrown the Ambassador to Egypt
under the bus, destroyed citizen confidence in the prosecutorial arena, and had
another secretary resign for greener pastures."
---
You know, after the OJ trial, I felt pretty sure that there would never be
another trial that displayed such prosecutorial ineptness. Not only has the
Zimmerman prosecutorial team raised the level of ineptness to record heights, it
threw in embarrassment and disgrace that no law abiding citizens will feel
confident that laws are there to protect the innocent as well as put criminals
away.
---
The only people who think we need new gun registration laws are those who
haven't purchased a gun in the last 20+ years. Registration and waiting periods
ARE the laws of the land.
---
The Judas 00-bama spread accolades about the great job Janet Napolitano did
are just as BS-y as his accolades for ObamaCare. What did she do? The Christmas
shoe bomber wasn't "stopped or prevented"; the guy just couldn't get it to work.
The Times Square bomber ? Who knows whether he would have done that if he wasn't
"assisted, encouraged" by out FBI? How did she miss the Boston Marathon bombing?
She had warnings about those guys... from the Russians at that. And what's she
done about the borders? The only thing that slows the flow is when our economy
is worse than Mexico's. And what about Homeland Security buying up open
inventory of favorite ammo of the general populace?
---
HuffPost headline: "Napolitano Will Inherit Turmoil As New President Of
U.C." -- Well, it sure looks like a fit for California.. Napolitano will bring
turmoil with her.
Online headline/story: "Paranoid Ignorant Government Destruction Costs $2.7
Million * It started when Homeland Security notified the EDA (Economic
Development Administration) that they might have some malware in their system.
* The EDA destroyed not only (uninfected) desktop computers but also printers,
cameras, keyboards, and even mice. The destruction only stopped—sparing
$3 million of equipment—because the agency had run out of money to pay for
destroying the hardware.” -- Aside from common sense telling you removing the
hard drive and any back up not purged of spyware would accomplish security for
the hardware, now we know another real reason Napolitano scrammed!
---
The Post Office unions ate out lying again. The union boys blare out that
the PO raises all its revenue needs through sales of stamps and other services.
Congress has had to supplement the PO with BILLIONS of dollars anually for
years. I have got to remember to buy stock in some shovel manufacturer.
---
The Judas 00-bama spinmeisters are out in force claiming the delay 00-bama
made on the mandatory aspects of ObamaCare are in response to business claims.
What! Businesses want the whole thing rolled back. Businesses want many things
rolled back, but why is Judas 00-bama claiming to be interested in what business
wants now? This is nothing but manipulating the 2014 election discussions.
---
Republicans in Congress want to cut IRS's budget 25%. DUMBERats are
outraged because cities won't be able to collect taxes for police and fire
departments. IRS doesn't collect sales or property taxes! How do these people
get elected!!!
---
WTVM9 headline: "Environmental woes endanger national parks" -- How quickly
'they' forget. Our national parks, the natural ones, anyway, were CREATED by the
environment. I think God knows what He's doing.
---
Online headline: Has Pelosi Lost It? Insists ObamaCare Employer Mandate
'Not Delayed' -- Hey, it's just another in the long list of things she hasn't
read.
---
Nancy Pelosi... she has to be the number 1 reason, the Poster Child, for
term limits. She has coined a new name, a new level for "plausible
deniability". First she encouraged her DUMBERat contingency in the House 'not to
read' but 'just pass' the Senate's ObamaCare version. Now she's saying Judas
00-bama is not asking for the employer mandate to be delayed. Does she even
know HOW to read?
---
Online headline: "Egypt Announces Criminal Investigation Against Morsi" --
Is that an investigation that's even necessary? Egypt should take the money that
was sent there and use it to investigate Judas 00-bama instead, and do the world
a favor.
---
Columbus L-E front page headlines focus on medical fraud, school district
secrecy, and the rebirth of confidence in our jury system. Top medical people
and facilities have been filleted, the school board embarrassed, but justice has
not only survived, but prevailed, amidst the government attack on our
Constitutional rights.
---
Low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "In this
day of knowledge, there is no excuse for stupidity. Will someone please tell me
what part of “stay in your car” George Zimmerman did not understand? " -- What
part of "This is America" does the low-info voter not understand?
---
L-E story: "A 15-year-old boy has been charged in the Friday
shooting of a 66-year-old woman on Dearborn Avenue after she discovered the teen
inside her car, Columbus police said. " -- What's the shooter's name! No 15 year
old carrying and using a gun in a crime deserves to hide behind laws protecting
minors. He gave up that protection.
---
L-E story: "Columbus police are looking
for three men wearing bandannas after a home invasion early Saturday on 17th
Street just east of Linwood Cemetery. * The man, 20, wasn’t injured in the home invasion in
the 1100 block of 17th Street. He was confronted by the men in his bedroom
around 12:45 a.m. Police said all three wore dark clothing and colored
bandannas on their faces. They were dressed in dark shirts, jean shorts and
wearing sneakers ." -- Well, are we looking for 3 white , Hispanic, Asian or
black males, or a combination of such? I cannot believe the police descriptions
omitted such VITAL info. A little censure here, L-E?
---
L-E story: "ALBANY, Ga. — The NAACP is trying to block Monday’s
scheduled execution of a Georgia inmate set to die for killing another
prisoner. * The state president of the
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Edward DuBose, said
Warren Lee Hill is mentally disabled and should not be put to death. " -- Oh,
DuBose wants the man spared so he can stay in jail long enough for some liberal
judge orders his release on some technicality, and put him back on the streets.
Here's a suggestion.. spare the life, BUT put him under house arrest in DuBose's
house.
---
Oh, congrats are due to a fellow BCer for his
appointment to GA's Board of Corrections!
---
From the L-E's "Today in History" feature: "In 1999, race-based school busing in Boston came to
an end after 25 years." -- Guess that was as long as Ted Kennedy could run
interference on what the South did 25 years before
that.
---
L-E headline: "Homeland resignation
bares leadership gap " -- "resignation bares leadership gap"? Her appointment
revealed the "leadership gap"... both in the Department of Homeland Security AND
the White House.
---
L-E headline: "Hornets happy with (Isaiah) Crowell’s progress " --
Guess that means he's made it from one season to the next without another
arrest.
---
Hey, Columbnus High grad (and Godwin Creek, too)
alum Jimmy beck is within striking distance heading into the last rpound of the
GA State Amateur Championship!
---
It's OK to refer to the British Open as "The Open"
.... if you live in Great Britain. Here, "The Open" is the U.S. Open.
