Let's face it.. the MCSD makes excuses for poor test results on CRCT tests and graduation rates based on students being victims of environment and poverty and hunger, but what does the MCSD do about it... it celebrates by encouraging their feeling of being victims by excusing their classroom deficiencies and taking over their parents' responsibilities to feed, transport, clothe, and encourage them to get the most out of their educational opportunities.  In effect, the MCSD is short changing the students by taking the easy route to get them out of the system on schedule.

Much to her chagrin, I watched a mid-afternoon rerun of ABC Family's "The Fosters" with my teen daughter.  It's a show, though certainly not family fare, aimed at teens who generally go to another TV if the parentals are close by. The subject matter is about foster families. This particular foster family has '2 mommies' (a police officer & a high school principal) and sexually active teen wards and a couple of tweens. One of the 'mommies' biological son has unprotected sex with a 'foster sib' and she catches him taking receipt of a "Plan B" abortion pill he got an older girl to buy for him because he wasn't older enough to buy one without a prescription. A very mature conversation followed. Yeah, right... really reality TV.

The Catholic Church is trying to merge with a group of secular hospitals in Wash.
State. The ACLU wants to sue to stop such as the hospitals will stop offering abortions, vasectomies and other forms of birth control procedures. If the merger doesn't go through, those hospitals will close for financial reasons. Can anyone explain the ACLU's end goal?
