Online story: "Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, son of the Vice President, traveled to Houston, Texas for a health evaluation on Monday morning, the Office of the Vice President reported. * Beau experienced disorientation and weakness while on vacation last week, prompting the evaluation. Vice President Joe Biden accompanied his oldest son to Houston." -- Hmmm, probably an adverse reaction to believing the law as Bleep Veep Biden and Judas 00-bama say it is compared to what Biden, Jr learned in law school.

---

Online story: "Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were caught sharing some sweet PDA while out to lunch at the Tavern restaurant in Brentwood, Calif., on Aug. 17. The pair, who have been married for eight years and have three kids together, snuggled up close as they paid for parking after enjoying a post-birthday meal." -- Hmmm, isn't this the same Jennifer Garner who whined about not having any privacy for her life with her kids recently?

---

Online story: "Mark Ruffalo spoke out on reproductive rights this weekend, penning a letter in support of a woman's right to choose. * Ruffalo opened up about his own mother's experience with having an abortion, saying that she was "forced to illegally have an abortion in her state where abortion was illegal," adding that the experience was "traumatizing" and "shameful and sleazy and demeaning." -- Hmmm, the only thing more appropriate would have been for Ruffalo's mother to stand up and say, "I wish I'd aborted you so I wouldn't feel "traunmatized.. shameful and sleazy and demeaned" in the media today. She doesn't need public 'support'. she needs to make peace with God.

Online story: "Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Monday he'll renounce his Canadian citizenship, The Washington Post reported. * Cruz, a U.S. citizen, released his birth certificate to the Dallas Morning News on Sunday amid mounting speculation that his Canadian citizenship would make him ineligible to run for U.S. president in 2016. * “Now the Dallas Morning News says that I may technically have dual citizenship,” Cruz said in a statement on Monday. “Assuming that is true, then sure, I will renounce any Canadian citizenship. Nothing against Canada, but I’m an American by birth and as a U.S. senator; I believe I should be only an American.” -- Hmmm, did Judas 00-bama ever renounce his Kenyan citizenship?

---

HuffPost headline: "U.N. Report: Sea level could rise nearly 3 feet by end of century" -- Hey, that's neat... as a senior citizen, I won't have as far to travel to wade in the waves!

---

Online story: "When Chaneya Kelly was 9, her mother threatened to beat her if she didn't make a certain confession. So the girl did -- and the statement has kept her father in prison for the past 16 years. * Daryl Kelly refused a plea deal and was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison. Six months after the conviction, Chaneya told her grandmother it was all a lie. Her mother also signed an affidavit stating she had threatened to beat her daughter unless she told cops her father raped her." -- You know, if the conviction is overturned, the mother should be incarcerated for the balance of the sentence, and held responsible for the investigative, court, and prison costs.

---

From the "huh" department - HuffPost story: "Citing a long list of problems, 13 members of the Maine Republican Party are leaving the GOP. * "We can no longer associate ourselves with a political party that goes out of its way to continually restrict our freedoms and liberties as well as reaching deeper and deeper into our wallets," the group wrote." -- Huh? No wonder Maine voters are so confused about party goals; they're finding out they've been voting for Obamarats wearing Republican lapel pins.

---

Online headline: "As Mexican children trooped back to school on Monday, they had already learned one lesson: You can't believe everything you read in your textbook. * Their new government-provided books are riddled with the sort of errors that students are supposed to be learning to avoid: misspellings, errors of grammar and punctuation, and at least one city located in the wrong state." -- Ooops, my bad. Thought some illegal parent was complaining about her child's school here in America. Guess text book "errors" (or government propaganda) is consistent in all socialist counties.

---

HuffPost headline/story: "NYC Gun Bust The Largest In City History, Says NYPD; Firearms Smuggled In Luggage On Buses * New York Police Department officials and prosecutors announced details of the case on Monday, citing it as another example of a persistent black market in which firearms from the South can sell for three times their original price in the city." -- Sounds more like a market NYC has created for itself. Unwarranted legal gun restrictions have made selling criminals guns at a higher profit have lured out-of-state gun smugglers looking for the best margins.

---

Online headline: "According to a spokesman, the Obama administration decided to stop sending military aid to Egypt on Monday -- and probably had a specific reason for not announcing it." -- I guess Judas 00-bama's spinmeisters haven't come up with a lexoconic alternative for "coup d'etat". Either that or he didn't want the military using American weapons to kill Muslims.

---

Have you heard any Obamarat explain to the uninsured exactly how they will get ObamaCare? Nothing has actually changed since before.. you apply, fill out the forms, pay the fee. Wasn't that the way it was, but it cost less then?

---

L-E story: "United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley will kick off its 2013 campaign August 29, 11:30 a.m., at the Columbus Convention & Trade Center. This year’s theme is “Hunting for the Goal.” Chairing the campaign is Russell County Sheriff Heath Taylor. Tickets are $25 per person and $200 per table.  * The United Way raised $6.9 million in 2012, but the goal for this year won’t be announced until next week’s kickoff, said Becky Fletcher, vice president of resource development." -- This is BS! Why doesn't the United Way publish the amount they actually collect versus report pledges? Why doesn't the United Way also include how much it actually distributes and how much it keeps for salaries and expenses? Sorry, but UW is not the altruistic organization that it tries to convey.

---

ESPN needs to screen its announcers better. Watching the Canada-Panama game, one if the announcers said this was boys playing a man's game. Wait a minute... he's got it backwards, it's the Major League players that are playing a boy's game.

---

L-E story on the Parks&Rec "Blazers" scandal: "“The end is trying to get young African-American men off the streets and create opportunities for them to educate themselves and live a positive crime-free existence,” (Attorney Donald) Jackson said. “For me, that is the end. And I honestly believe that was the end for Herman and Tony. If that was the goal, then mission accomplished.” * (Donald) Jackson points to years of work by Porter and Jackson to get impoverished kids off the streets and into gyms and onto athletic fields. Though both have been arrested and convicted for their roles, Jackson finds little fault with what they did. In fact, he believes the black community needs more people like Adams and Porter willing to work to keep kids off the streets and out of the jails. * “In my opinion,” he said, “they should have gotten a pat on the back. ... The final question I would have asked is not how many first-round draft picks did they produce — I want to know how many kids they kept off the police blotter.” -- What warpedness!  Even the players who have financially benefited have a warped sense of how to be a role model for others, and the others in the program were exposed to trying to get ahead by breaking the law. Lack of respect of the law is what keeps poverty flourishing and our jails overflowing. Attorney Jackson should be disbarred for not respecting the law as well.

---

Of note is the inaccuracy of Attorney Donald Jackson.. One of the three named "stars" has been kicked out of UGA for criminal reasons. (Nick Marshall.. new QB at Auburn)

---

What's with this crap about reopening Princess Di's death. If a driver assigned to drive me was that drunk, he'd never been allowed behind the wheel if a car I was riding in.

---

A-rod had the nerve to say the Boston pitcher was unprofessional. Talk about a pot calling a kettle black.

---

McClatchy headline/story: "After delays, solar panels again being installed on White House * The administration said the solar equipment is "American-made," but declined to give any other details, including the cost, the name of the vendor, how much energy it will save and when it will come on line." -- Last week I reported this story from another source along with the info of the American manufacturer who is DONATING these panels. Question: Why is Judas 00-bama/McClatchy reluctant to promote such generosity? Judas 00-bama and mainstream media is avoiding to disclose that the manufacturer, Sungevity,  not only is American, but was founded when Bush43 was in office, and none of the 33 "green energy" companies bankrolled by Obama-loans who have subsequently bailed out on repaying those loans by filing for bankruptcy.

---

Spinmeisters for Judas 00-bama say he's trying to maintain "middle ground" on Christian & Muslim public prayers. Please, will someone please explain how that is even remotely possible? Does he pray that Muslims compromise by only wanting to kill half of the Christians?

---

With all the flip-flops Judas 00-bama has made on his campaign promises (Gitmo, Afghanistan, Immigration, ObamaCare, & transparency), I'm surprise Jimmy Buffet hasn't replaced his symbolic Parrothead logo with one of 00-bama's blown-out flip-flops.

---

It just got tougher for law abiding citizens in Chicago to buy a gun. Thug owners of illegally acquired/possessed guns shouted for joy.

---

You know, Republicans didn't write, nor were given the opportunity to read, nor even see the ObamaCare law, much less support the passing of the law, so why would Judas 00-bama and the mainstream expect Republicans to remain neutral on it? Why would Republicans, even Obamarats be happy with Judas 00-bama illegally delaying implementation of the law?

---

You know, as far as naming schools go, the MCSD should check with the ancestors of George Washington Carver. In spite of a new school building, Carver had a miserable results year, and the Carver ancestors might want to remove his name from the building.

---

L-E story: "“While Ms. Height was iconic, she does not meet   the standard to have a school named after her, especially at the expense of local African-American leaders who have directly impacted our school system and our city,” (Nathan) Smith said. “This honor belongs to our own. Please do not bring shame to our local African-American heroes.” -- Excuse me, but why is the color of one's skin even being discussed as an exclusion for naming a school after a local person? There are plenty of white local heroes in Columbus as well.

---

An L-E "soundoff" challenge: "Are any of you old enough to remember when “Saturday Night Live” was worth staying up for? " -- Third show of the first season.. the show was not particularly good that night (it was the first I stayed up to watch), but when they rolled the credits at the end, one particular item jumped out at me as really good humor, so I became a fan for many years (no longer though). Amidst the disclosures of "GRIPS, Assistant GRIPS, and assistants to the Assistant GRIPS was an item that woke me up as I was trying to drowse off into sleep: Coffee by: Joe Dimaggio. Joe had become the iconic face of Mr Coffee. Maybe you had to be there to appreciate this.

---

From L-E's "Today in History": "One year ago, in a historic change at one of the world’s most exclusive golf clubs, Augusta National invited former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and South Carolina financier Darla Moore to become the first female members; both women accepted. Comedian Phyllis Diller, 95, died at her Los Angeles home. " -- Come on, L-E, This couldn't have been that much of a shock to Phyllis Diller.

---

L-E story: "TRENTON, N.J. — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie plans to sign a bill Monday barring licensed therapists from trying to make gay minors straight. *  New Jersey will be the second state to ban so-called conversion therapy, along with California." -- Well, this should certainly elate the pedophiles in New Jersey and California.

---

L-E editorial headline: "Editorial *  Digital media not learning students how to write good " -- Well, it also appears to hinder L-E headline writers as well.

---

L-E story: "WASHINGTON — Resurgent bailout recipients Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have been avoiding billions of dollars in potential long-term losses by delaying the use of new accounting measures that would require them to write offmore delinquent mortgages, a government watchdog agency said in a letter released Monday. " -- Hmmm, like everything else Judas 00-bama claims credit for accomplishing.. ObamaCare, this Fannie Mae balloon burst, student loan fiasco etc, will not implode until he's left office and giving him a new administration to point his famous finger at.

---

Hmmm, is it any wonder the L-E Foreclosure Section is growing again?
