You know, I first thought Judas 00-bama would call the world wide shut down of embassies a result of sequester. Then I thought 00-bama would proclaim it vindication of NSA's snooping. Now I call it what it really is... a scandal the we can actually call a phony.
---
It's interesting that reports of extreme amounts of "chatter" are coming out of terrorist countries and cells. I think most of it is just to make the NSA run around like it's head has been cut off since everyone knows it is listening.
---
Online story: "The current major budget cuts known as sequestration could make America less safe in the event of a future terrorist threat, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Sunday." -- Will someone take Graham aside and stick a sock in his mouth... Sequestration has nothing to do with our preparedness. It's as much his fault as a Senator that budget controls have disappeared over the years.
---
Online story: "If Lonnie Busch gets his wish, the hoodie Trayvon Martin was wearing the night of his fatal shooting will eventually be on display at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History. * Busch, the museum’s director, said Martin’s hooded sweatshirt is a unique “artifact” that would no doubt prompt a deeper discussion about race in America. * “It became the symbolic way to talk the Trayvon Martin case,” Busch said." -- The Smithsonian? Maybe Ripley's or a circus sideshow, but not the Smithsonian.

It's time to lock Bill Clinton, Anthony Weiner, and Bob Filner in a room together and don't let any of them out until.......

Online story: "The “return to home” program is set to launch this fiscal year — (Hawaii) will purchase one-way plane tickets, and eventually even beds on cruise ships, to send homeless people back to their families in other regions of the country, reports MSN News. * The program will be run by Hawaii’s Department of Human Services. They have already received an initial budget of $100,000. * An estimated 17,000 homeless people live in Hawaii." -- $100K to move 17,000... sounds like Hawaii has about enough to take them on a long walk on a short pier.
---
Why haven't the mainstream media and DOJ gone ballistic over Hawaii's announcement to send homeless people to America's mainland?

The final pairing of the Bridgestone tournament may have set back TV golf forever. After 15 holes, Tiger Woods & Henrik Stenson have had one birdie between them. Maybe the PGA should do like youth sports do... initiate a "mercy rule", and end the tournament after the 3rd round if someone had a 7 shot( or more) lead. (Update: Stenson did get a birdie on 17, so the pair had two birdies for the day)

Online story: "The Tawana Brawley rape case (25 years ago!) was all a hoax. She falsely accused six white men, including police officers, of having raped her. It never happened. However, the hoax did help propel the Rev. Al Sharpton’s career. He is now a television host on MSNBC. * Tawana Brawley, the woman who falsely accused six white men, including police officers, of having raped her, was served with a court order earlier this year to settle a hefty defamation suit against her. * Last week, 10 checks totaling $3,764.61 were delivered to ex-prosecutor Steven Pagones — the first payments Brawley has made since a court determined in 1998 that she defamed him with her vicious hoax * he still owes Pagones $431,000 in damages. And she remains defiantly unapologetic" -- Justice would be she be named Sharpton's co-host on MSNBC until she pays her debt.

From the "where's Algore" department - Online headline: "North Pole Sees Unprecedented July Cold – Arctic Sees Shortest Summer On Record — ‘Normally the high Arctic has about 90 days above freezing. This year there was less than half that’ -- Have you ever noticed when real reports about the climate are published, even the mainstream media can't find Algore?

Pelosi's lips moved... again:

L-E story: "Columbus police have arrested Michael D. Dombrowski and charged him with theft by taking after an incident Saturday at the Ultra Mix Lounge on Broadway in Columbus. * According to the police report, Dombrowski was seen taking a bottle of Crown Royal Maple from behind the bar when the bartender was not looking. * Dombrowski, born in 1992, was taken to the Muscogee County Jail" -- Hmm, reckon he was 'under the influence'? Wonder if he was 'under the age' as well.
---
Extremely low info Alabama voter's L-E "soundoff": "Governor Bentley’s legacy will be that he turned down a record 35,000 Medicaid jobs and $16 billion in healthcare funding to toe the Republican Party line. " -- Where do lib's get these figiures? I usually accuse them of pulling them out of the air, but this person doesn't have enough toes, fingers and hair follicles to count that high.
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " I hope George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld burn in hell for what they have done to Iraq. I don’t know how they sleep at night. " -- Coin flip: Did Judas 00-bama or Jay Carney submit this one?
---
L-E columnist Dimon Kendrick-Holmes wrote about his being panhandled and seeing the panhandler do something other that what he was begging for. A reader commented: "“Doesn’t matter if you got had or not. Important thing is that when asked, you provided. Nothing is too large or too small. Much of this is part of Jewish ‘Halacha’ which says that when someone asks for charity, it’s not up to us to decide how he should use it. You did the right thing!” -- You know, this has to be the mantra, the creed of DUMBERat politicians... they dispense alms without any regard to how it benefits the recipients, but they do it with other peoples money! In my book, that's theft!
---
Hearing of the passing of Constance Johnson, former journalist for the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer brings both a tear and heart warming thoughts about her and Columbus... even about the Columbus L-E. Maybe such will spur current L-E reporters to attain such connection with the citizens of Columbus.
---
Speaking of "citizens", reminds me of the recent ban on the use of using such word in Seattle. Seattle pols decided that using "citizens" was being mean spirited to their illegal alien population, so now everyone is considered a resident. Wonder when the Seattle Council will decide that the residents consist pf legal and illegal residents?

From the "this is what's wrong with sports" department - Online story: "W YORK — Major League Baseball told the New York Yankees that Alex Rodriguez will be suspended Monday for his links to a clinic accused of distributing banned performance-enhancing drugs but can play while he appeals the penalty, a person familiar with deliberations told The Associated Press. " -- "Suspended, but can play"? Where are ya when we need you, Joe Dimaggio?
---
Online story: "In a recent interview with Kindle Singles, the United States' president said that Kim Kardashian, her rich, reality TV show family and boyfriend Kanye West are the reason why today's youth are obsessed with money and celebrity. * The president also basically said it's ridiculous for any celebrity to flaunt their riches on TV because it totally gives kids the wrong idea and changes people's aspirations." -- As Ronald Reagan would be apt to say, "Well, there you go again.", pointing the finger of blame everywhere but at the man in the mirror. Judas 00-bama doesn't travel without a 500 person entourage, has 20+ "assistants" for his wife, and has flown his dog in a separate jet for family vacations. Talk about flaunting one's celebritiness!
