The answer Hillary gave at the Congressional investigation on Benghazi, "What difference would it make?", should be rephrased and re-asked. Hillary, if you had acted on the first news of 9-11-12, would it have made a difference?

---

Another black-eye for for Hillary?.. the Afghani translator that assisted Congressional Medal of Honor awardee Dakota Meyer, still is stuck in Afghanistan, living in fear for killing Taliban terrorists who attacked Meyers' unit, but cannot get his Visa approved by the U.S. State Department. The man is a hero, but I guess he's become a victim of Hillary's "What difference does it make?" syndrome.

Sex Ed classes in public schools should be stopped immediately. Take the assigned funds and put them into core curriculum. What good are sex ed classes at teaching responsibilities of being a parent when the school system is paying for the food they eat, the clothes they wear, their transportation and socially promoting them?

Online headline: "Hannah Anderson, Kidnap Victim, Found Safe In Idaho; Abductor James Dimaggio Killed " -- This is how all situations need to end. The girl is alive, and we don't need a jury, we don't need to know "why" the (_*_) did this, we don't need to know about his messed up "childhood". All we need to know is he won't be a repeat offender, and we aren't supporting him to he dies a natural death.

---

One sad aspect of this is some child of the future is going to type "Dimaggio" in to "Google" to do a report on "Joltin' Joe", and "JerK Jim" will be the first Google suggestion.

---

Online story: "Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said President Barack Obama was "absolutely right" to cancel a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin after the country's government granted Edward Snowden a year's asylum." -- Oh, No!. Not her, too!

---

Online headline: "Manti Te'o has sprained foot, wearing walking boot" -- Hmmm, real or another imagined injury?

---

Saw an amazing set of figures online... the number of Muslims per 100,000 people in a state. Illinois has the highest per 100K, and Hawaii has the 2nd lowest per 100K. Guess the Muslims in Hawaii followed 'him' to Illinois.

---

Online headline: "Jason Collins, Detroit Pistons are talking, report says" -- This just had to be inevitable; Detroit was having a tough time signing anyone else who wanted a job desperate enough to move there.

---

Boycott "The Butler". Lee Daniel is an (_°_) for casting Jane Fonda at all, but especially as Nancy Reagan.

---

You would think that since the mainstream media has discovered the NSA has been checking in on their phones and e-mail, that MSM would be a little skeptical of NSA denials.  The NSA  says it isn't actually recording/reading them, yet claims it has terrorist chatter which caused 20 or so Embassies to be closed. Well, you would think MSM would ... but it hasn't.

---

When you watch movies such as the "Jason Bourne" series or Gene Hackman/Will Smith's "Enemy of the State", you really have to be scared of the surveillance capability of the NSA/CIA, and really question the denials coming from the White House.

---

Early figures indicate a slow back-to-school sales season. Clothes, we can understand as even the mid-elementary students want to hold off on buying too many new things until they actually get school and see what others are wearing, but much of it is just that school opening dates are so spread out over a months time rather than all starting on the Tuesday after Labor Day Monday.

---

From McClatchy : "Obama wants more oversight on government surveillance" -- Huh? Judas 00-bama wants no such thing; he just wants mainstream media to drop it.

---

L-E story: "The Rev. Roy B*********....led a handful of School of the Americas Watch supporters with banners and crosses while Department of Defense police officers watched from inside the gate. * “We are here to keep alive the memories of the thousands killed in places like El Salvador, Colombia, Guatemala and Honduras,” -- Excuse me, but a "handful" (and how many media people were there?) of "supporters" did not justify the front page of the L-E nor a follow up story. Rev.Roy is not news... he's 'old news'.

You know, lawyers and the legal system in general, are one of the worst drains on tax dollars. Taxes pay for the court rooms, the judges, prisons, policing, even a great amount of criminal defense, prosecution, and who can forget the legal staffs of every level of government, school systems, and government agencies. Lawyers are even exempted from charging/collecting sales taxes, and many settlements are exempted from income taxes. There ought to be a law banning lawyers from writing laws.

Online story: "The Obama administration has approved five state-designed plans to help homeowners as part of a $1.5 billion effort to assist areas slammed by the housing bust.  * Treasury Department officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the decisions had not yet been made public, said plans for Arizona, California, Florida, Michigan and Nevada had received approval." -- Not sure how/why Arizona got into this mix, but the rest are pretty apparent because of politics: California is the home of Nancy Pelosi, Nevada is the home of Harry Reid, Detroit is the home of Government Motors, and Obamarats cannot afford to lose Florida.

---

Why is it that only Obamarats look at the minimum wage as a ceiling versus an entry wage? Best answer is that Obamarats rarely have to meet a payroll from self generated revenues.

---

Why is it only Obamarats think the minimum wage being raised will eliminate poverty?  The minimum wage literally fuels inflation at the lowest levels of needed goods & services.

---

If ObamaCare is driving down health insurance costs while giving the same or better coverages , where are the GEICO-type adds from health insurance companies claiming you can save 15% in 15 minutes?

---

In 2008, Judas 00-bama bought two $1+ million dollar campaign buses from a Canadian company. In April of this year, Judas 00-bama spent $700,000,000.00 on Russian made helicopters for Afghanistan. Wouldn't buying from American companies create more jobs for Americans?

---

L-E headline: "2013 stats show crime has increased in Columbus; areas with most violent crimes include trailer parks along Victory Drive, Arbor Pointe" -- So the money spent on the Crime Prevention projects isn't producing the desired results... wow, who would have figured that...

---

The Tuesday Council report of the Crime Prevention department should have more than few ears tuned in.

---

Speaking of the crime figures, why does the L-E think that certain zones stats were "skewed" by shoplifting crimes. Shoplifting is a major crime problem , and a tip-of-the-iceberg clue for other crimes. Shoplifting is a true indicator for the condition the economy is in, and a lot more reliable than "government figures/statistics/explanations/excuses".

To honor Judge Cohn by naming a school after him was nice, but it really won't be a true honor unless the MCSD runs the school with the same ardor, the same convictions, and the same results as Judge Cohn ran the Juvenile Court.

---

One solution to getting all the middle schools up-to-speed with the minimum numbers to get full state funding would be to make public schools attractive to parents who spend their own money to either home school their children or send them to private schools. Of primary concern are the safety of their children, and the quality of curriculum.

---

L-E story: "President Barack Obama praised the “fighting spirit of wounded warriors” at the Disabled American Veterans convention in Orlando Saturday while promising to reduce the backlogs that have made accessing veterans benefits for disability claims an abysmally slow and stress-inducing process" -- Well, don't you know that wounded warriors waiting for leg prosthetics are 'jumping for joy".... Judas 00-bama will say anything knowing he want be held accountable for actually getting anything done.

---

I see the City has come to a 5-year lease agreement to let T-Mobile erect a cellphone antennae of the roof of the Government Center... hmmm, the question is whether or not the Government Center Building will last that long..

---

Here's an interestin purchase item on the Council's agenda Tuesday: "WINDROW TURNER — NATIONAL JOINT POWERS ALLIANCE (NJPA) CONTRACT — It is requested that council approve the purchase of one Vermeer CT616 Wildcat Compost Turner, from Vermeer Southeast Sales & Service Inc. (Marietta, Ga.), in the amount of $194,241, by cooperative purchase via National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) contract. " -- What exactly is the "NATIONAL JOINT POWERS ALLIANCE", and why do we have a contract with it?

---

Another interesting request of Columbus taxpayers to pay: "   Emergency Purchase of Construction for Pipe Replacement Services at North Highland: On Aug. 8, 2013, the Engineering Department requested emergency construction services for pipe replacement at North Highland. During the investigation of flooding at the North Highland Access Point construction, the Engineering Department discovered a 36” high density polyethylene pipe that had partially collapsed and other sections had holes. This is the pavilion area that is currently under construction by Georgia Power. The pavilion was removed during the construction of the weir structure required as part of the whitewater project. Uptown was also nearing completion of the cul-de-sac for the northern Whitewater drop off. A sinkhole had previously been reported, but due to the construction, was inaccessible for videoing. Since there are multiple contractors in the area, and the construction zone is very small, Scott Bridge, who is under contract with Uptown, was requested to provide a quote for the pipe replacement.

The emergency construction services are needed to prevent further delays in the cited projects, as well as, avoid additional conflicts by adding another contractor to the already congested area. The city manager approved the emergency purchase on Aug. 8, 2013. The estimated cost for the pipe replacement is $43,560, any additional drainage material needed to backfill, under concrete, will be an additional $32 per ton; other additional costs may be incurred for various contingencies." -- Who cause this collapse and other damages? Seems 'whitewater construction" may have been the cause of it so let the charges be to the direct benefactors.
