Online headline: "Mitt Romney: Obama 'fundamentally dishonest' about health insurance" -- "fundamentally dishonest"? This is what is wrong with the Republican Party... it's playing the Obamarats' "politically correct" game, and the Obamarats are laughing out in Uncle Remus' briar patch. Obamarats discriminate, segregate, lie, cheat on taxes and spouses, denounce God and Jesus, and use slur words at will without reservation of what the voters or mainstream media think. Stand up Republicans! Say what you mean, and mean what you say. Hey, Mitt, Judas 00-bama is not "fundamentally dishonest", he's just a damn liar!

Online story: "Brad Ausmus is the Detroit Tigers' next manager, as the team confirmed the move Sunday afternoon. * Ausmus, a former All-Star catcher, played for the San Diego Padres, Tigers,Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers from 1993 to 2010. He was inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2004, and became the first manager for Israel in 2012's World Baseball Classic." - Hmm, in a town that has the largest Muslim population in the US, a team hires a Jewish manager.. Hmmm, sorta brings a new aspect to the "suicide squeeze" play.

---
Online headline: "Egyptians Following Right Path, Kerry Says" -- Huh! The Judas 00-bama administration still hasn't been able to call what happened a "coup". and now thinks everything is hunky-dory? i guess Judas 00-bama won't ever cross that line either.

Nancy Pelosi said Congress would have to pass 00bamaCare to see what was in it. I'm beginning to wonder whether she read it even after passing it.

Online story: "A Connecticut judge has scheduled a hearing for arguments on whether he has the authority to release Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel from prison while he awaits a new trial in the 1975 slaying of neighbor Martha Moxley. * Judge Thomas Bishop ordered a new trial for Skakel, saying his trial attorney failed to adequately represent him in 2002 when he was found guilty of bludgeoning Moxley with a golf club. Skakel and Moxley were 15-year-old neighbors in wealthy Greenwich at the time of her death * Prosecutors say Bishop doesn't have the authority to grant bond because of an automatic stay of his ruling while they appeal." -- It's absolute absurdity that anyone thinks a Kennedy family member didn't get better than average legal advice and representation. Will somebody tell Judge Bishop that Ted Kennedy is dead now, and can't grant him any favors.

There's a business on Veterans Parkway that has housed a veterinarian's business for 25 years that the GA DOT has ripped out of his hands under eminent domain. The offer the DOT has made will not let him rebuild across the street for such amount, and his business and jobs for himself and 12/14 others are going to be wiped out. What's very interesting is that an abutting 11 acre property owned by a connected Columbusite with a Moon Road address, will now have access from Veterans Parkway in the future which should be a tidy windfall boost in value. Another interesting aspect is the DOT "offer" does not come close to what the current veterinarian could sell his ongoing business to a younger veterinarian looking for an "instant business".

The "annual" Banquet on the Bridge was held yesterday on the Dillingham Street Bridge. Just curious, but why wasn't it held on the newly opened 14th Street Walking Bridge? Dillingham is still an active vehicle bridge connecting Columbus and Phenix City, and emergency needs could have been compromised.

L-E headline: "LAX gunman told police he acted alone in shooting" -- Quick... what's wrong with this picture? Yep, why is the guy still breathing.
---
L-E story: " Oregon fans printed it on T-shirts. Florida State fans chanted it. “We want Bama!” -- Well, first, Oregon has got to prove itself to be a better choice than FSU, and having watched both in action, FSU is going to be in the Championship game.
---
In another L-E sports blurb, the L-Eistakenly states the UGA- Appalachian State game is not being televised.. WRONG! ..It is scheduled to be broadcast by ESPN3
---
L-E story: "Nobody can say Charlotte Riley does not take her work as a bail bondsman seriously: She once tracked down her stepson who failed to show up for his court date." -- Wonder what the topic of conversation was at Thanksgiving time that year?

We're getting "old". Loretta "Hot Lips" Swit is 76 today. Maybe we need to go out and get "sM.A.S.H.ed" in celebration.
