On November 22, 1963...John F. Kennedy was assassinated Most of us remember exactly where we were and what our first thoughts and reactions were. Later, President Kennedy was to make a speech.. here are the final swords of that speech he didn't get to deliver:
"Neither the fanatics nor the faint-hearted are needed. And our duty as a Party is not to our Party alone, but to the nation, and, indeed, to all mankind. Our duty is not merely the preservation of political power but the preservation of peace and freedom.
So let us not be petty when our cause is so great. Let us not quarrel amongst ourselves when our Nation's future is at stake.
Let us stand together with renewed confidence in our cause -- united in our heritage of the past and our hopes for the future -- and determined that this land we love shall lead all mankind into new frontiers of peace and abundance"
-- By today's standards, JFK would be a conservative. No wonder the party of the Obamarats tiptoe around the words of Kennedy's inauguration speech ("Ask not what your country can do for you"), and what was to be his speech finale on November 22, 1963. As Paul Harvey would say, "Now you know the rest of the story".

OMG! One of the WH spinmeisters just 'testified' on Fox that Microsoft & IBM are not, were not, 'qualified' to put the 00bamaCare website together. We have a bunch of idiots in Washington!

Online headline: "S&P Cuts France's Credit Rating To AA" -- Hmmm, Judas 00-bama has always said he admires the way the French do things. Guess the French are returning the admiration for the way Judas 00-bama does things.

Online story: "At a fundraiser in Texas last night, President Obama said his administration is “remaking the courts.” * Here’s the full quote for context via a WhiteHouse.gov transcript:
We were able to reform our financial system so that the likelihood of taxpayer-funded bailouts is a lot less than it was. We were able to expand funding for young people going to college. We were able to expand national service for young people who want to serve. We fought long and hard for consumer protections that weren’t there before.
As Lisa mentioned, we are remaking the courts. -- Don't look for this to be widespread in the mainstream media. It was said on a Friday night amongst a select audience of liberal supporters. Executive orders defying the Constitution can always be challenged, even changed, but stacking the courts can chip out the mortar holding the stones of our foundation. Contact your Senators to be strong in the judge selection process.

Time Magazine's Cover story about Chris Christie should be recognized for what it is... propaganda. Article titles like this: "How Chris Christie Can Win Over the GOP"; "What The Party Needs"; and "What His Rivals Will Use Against Him" are ways liberals try to influence the candidate the Republicans offer up to run in the 2016 election. Time did the same to/for McCain... got him selected, then shredded him up for the next 4 months. A common rule to remember is that "if Time is for a Republican, he's a progessive and headed south.

Online story: "Surrounded by about 100 police officers in riot gear and a helicopter circling above, more than 50 Walmart workers and supporters were arrested in downtown Los Angeles Thursday night as they sat in the street protesting what they called the retailer's "poverty wages." * Their primary demand to Walmart: pay every full-time worker at least $25,000 a year." -- Unbelievable... but not for the first reaction you probably just had.. These protesters are definitely stupid, even by California standards... why do they even work at Walmart when they could quit and get a raise on the public dole?

Judas 00-bama just planted the "kiss of death' on Biden.. Last week, scuttlebutt arose about Biden being replaced by Hillary for this last election. In an interview with MSNBC denied he was involved in his staff's conversations about such. Judas 00-bama stated, " Here's the one thing I can say for certain, that, if they had asked me, I would have said there is no way that I'm not running again with Joe Biden." -- DOH! Of course no one on his staff "asked" him, no one asks Judas 00-bama about anything; Judas 00-bama TELLS them what he wants.
---
Judas 00-bama went deeper in do-do later in that same interview concerning Bleep Veep Biden: "Because I genuinely believe that he has been one of the best vice presidents in our history. He also happens to be a friend. He also happens to be one of my most important advisers on domestic and foreign policy. I like him. When my back's up against the wall, he has my back." -- Hmmm, when "his back's up against the wall, Joe has my back"? Excuse, but when my back is up against a wall, the wall has my back... Of course, 00-bama may have meant he had Biden pancaked between his back and the wall.

Not only did Baylor win this weeks "ugly uniform" award, one of its players and the whole referee unit get the "Middle finger of fate" Award as well....

College football's rule 9-1-4 is a farce when you compare the ejection of UGA linebacker Ray Drew for hand chucking Vanderbilt"s QB on his shoulder pads, but not ejecting K.J. Norton, Baylor's safety, for viciously shouldering an Oklahoma receiver in the head/neck following a reception. If you haven't seen this dastardly blow, check it out:

Secretary of State Kerry is trying to cozy up to Iran at the expense of Israel and Saudi Arabia. Wonder how it will play out in mainstream media if he steals Hillary's line of "What difference does it make?" Wonder if Judas 00-bama has read about it in tomorrows news yet?

WTVM9 story: "A 13-year-old Kansas eighth-grader says he was suspended from school on Wednesday because he refused to take off his Vera Bradley purse. * His furious mother says it is discrimination because girls are allowed to have purses with no repercussions." -- Good luck with that, as all students, even the GIRLS, are not allowed to carry/wear their purses to classes. I do think there is a lawsuit in here.. Vera Bradley should sue to have the mother's right to be the boy's parent revoked for allowing and defending him carrying a purse in public.

Larry Summers summed it up succinctly if not totally correct. He said the OObamaCare website fiasco was not the government's fault; it was the idiots who work in government. Actually Larry, it started with the voters who elected the idiots who appointed/hired the idiots who did the work. Of course, what does that say about Summers... he was Judas 00-bama's first pick for the new fed chief.

You know, whether the mechanics of 00bamaCare are good or bad for you personally or even whether it's a non-event, the main problem for everyone is that 00bamaCare takes our choices away from us. We as individuals do not exist.

Online story: "This week, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said he opposes allowing a vote on the recently Senate-passed bill that gives special privileges based on sexual orientation and gender identity, and backed up by coercive enforcement. * he Senate version of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) would make it illegal for organizations with 15 or more employees to "fail or refuse to hire or to discharge any individual, or otherwise discriminate against any individual...because of such individual's actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity." * ENDA would force religious business owners and workplaces such as Christian bookstores, religious publishing houses, pre-schools and religious television and radio stations to accept as normal any employee who has had a sex-change surgery, is considering a change, or just thinks they are the opposite sex of what they really are." -- Some idiots pick on Republicans for standing up for what's good for the future, and vote against the future of this nation because of one single issue. Some idiots just stay away from voting because they don't like one or two issues of either party. These idiots are more dangerous than the idiots chained to the Obamarat Party because they still have the ability to reason with common sense, but don't. You have to support Boehner and the Republican Party on this.. now and in every election.

Why is Mayor Obamalinson so focused on spending taxdollars on dog parks, bicycle paths, feral cats, high speed rails, and the homeless? Simple...she's campaigning, and doing so with our tax dollars (any private grants are nothing but "seed money" for major tax dollar spending to carry the programs on in the future). Yes, campaigning to the "causes of the 'involved' groups of Columbus". Nothing actually gets solved or resolved, but it makes her looks like "she cares". Yeah, right.. she's a politician first and foremost.

Low, low, LOW info voter's L-E "soundoff" : " By saying you want the government to get out of the way, I presume you mean to make sure water is safe to drink and food is safe to eat. Is that true?" -- Oh, and don't forget about the air quality! No wonder Obamarats can suck in the low info voters so easily. "These people" want to believe the government can take better care of them than 'they" can do it themselves. 'They'
feel 'government knows best', but only because government tells them it will handle such issues and 'they' don't have to worry themselves over such. Truth is, when food quality, water quality, and air quality are issues, enterprising American individuals will find a way to make it better. Well, they try despite government regulations that hamper their efforts.
---
Even lower informed voter's L-E "soundoff": " The $24 billion flushed by the Republican shutdown could have bought 71,000 small business loans, six years of SNAP for veterans, elderly and children … instead, taxpayers bought 16 days of Cruz ads." -- To give some factual perspective, food stamp benefits cost a record $71.81 billion in the 2011 fiscal year, up 43 percent from two years before, according to the USDA. (To put things in perspective, that's roughly one-tenth of federal defense spending in 2011.). And, don't even get me started on the "successes" (wait. there were none) of the 'green energy' 00-bamaLoans. You know the facts, and low info voters are interested in 'the facts'.

I love it when our local schools are successful in athletics. Athletics add a much needed aspect in education that the classroom cannot fully duplicate. Sure, some 'team' building is involved in some classroom activities but do not highlight the individual inputs of all the participants like sports can and do. Yep, I like seeing and hearing about our high school success stories in athletics, but there should be a connection with the academic side. There's too much of that missing in our high school athletic successes in the traditional contact sports.

Interesting unconfirmed but probably valid tidbit: The entire current population of Earth could fit inside Texas and it would still be less crowded than New York City. Hmmm, wonder that if Mayor Bllomberg had known this. would he have made such an idiot of his food bans?
---
The GA State High School Cross Country championships are being run today... Wonder if Governor Deal will be out there to watch his daughter's nephew run? Go CHS's Jake!
---
Another interesting tidbit is that N+Mississippi State will play in the last game at Texas A&M's "Kyle Field" before a major redevelopment begins to name it the largest stadium (102K) in the SEC. On the other side of the gambit, Mississippi State played Houston in the first major college football game played in the AstroDome back in 1965.

L-E story: "SPRING HILL, Fla. — A Florida school district has suspended a teacher after requiring a fourth grade Jehovah’s Witness to participate in the Pledge of Allegiance. * The Tampa Tribune reports that the Hernando County School Board recently concluded an investigation. * The student, who is Jehovah’s Witness and prohibited by the religion from worshiping objects, refused on religious grounds, the investigation found." -- This does it for me.. I've always been tolerant of people who knock on my door without having been invited, but no more. The next Jehovah's Witness that does so either recites the pledge of patriotism verbatim, or I personally will forcefully escort them off my property.
