HuffPost headline: "Dzhokh(_*_)r Ts(_*_)rn(_*_)ev Wants 'Redundant' Charges Dropped" -- "Like" on FB if you don't give a cr(_*_)p what Boston Bomber #2 or his l(_*_)wyer wants!

HuffPost story: "Emphasizing skills training as key to a growing middle class, President Barack Obama on Wednesday announced $600 million in competitive grants to spur creation of targeted training and apprenticeship programs to help people land good-paying jobs." -- Good grief.. $600,000.00 would be the annual gross salaries of 40 $15,000.00 a year minimum wage jobs. $600,000.000 didn't pay the costs of Judas 00-Barnum's trip to Oakdale, PA to act like he is doing something. $600,000.00 is a media and campaign tidbit. On the other hand, 1,600,000 plus new college graduates will be looking for jobs in 2014. They will already have skill sets, but at least 8% will find only minimum wage jobs. What employer is going to pick someone with an OObamaCRAP-type skill set vs a college graduate?

HuffPost headline/story: "John Mellencamp Is Unhappy With Scott Walker * Liberal rocker John Mellencamp wants conservative Republican Gov. Scott Walker to know he supports union rights and says Walker should think about that before using his songs on the campaign trail. * Walker was targeted for recall in 2012 by those angered over the union law, which passed despite massive protests that elicited support from other liberal musicians, including Pete Seeger, Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello, Peter Yarrow and Billy Bragg. * When Mellencamp caught wind of Walker playing "Small Town" during the recall campaign, his publicist sent Walker an email letting him know that Mellencamp supports collective bargaining and union rights. * Mellencamp took the same approach in 2008 when Republican presidential hopeful John McCain played "Our Country" on the campaign trail. * In 2010, when the National Organization for Marriage played "Pink Houses" at events opposing same-sex marriage, Mellencamp also had his publicist notify the group saying he was opposed to its agenda and suggested it pick a different song to play that is more in tune with its views" -- Hmmm, something tells me that John "cougar" Mellencamp better be thankful that more people liked him for his music than agree with his political views, or no one would even listen to what he cares about politically!

Online story: "Union leaders in Detroit want $100 million in federal funding earmarked for homeowner assistance to help make up a $3.5 billion shortfall in the retirement system for city workers, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday." -- Good grief! The City workers have already benefited from the taxpayers as they got way more than their share that has run up the City's debt to $18 +/- BILLION! The pensioners' and the union should be DUNNED for whatever they have received in taxpayer funded pension benefits

L-E story: "MANCHESTER, N.H. — New Hampshire hospitals trying to both improve quality and lower costs are sharing their strategies at a luncheon in Manchester. * The Business and Industry Association is partnering with the New Hampshire Hospital Association and the New Hampshire Medical Society for Thursday's event focused on innovations in health care. * The speakers will include officials from Elliot Health System who will describe its move to give patients an upfront, bundled price that includes all hospital services associated with various procedures. The director of the Center for Telehealth at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center will discuss how that facility is using advanced technology to deliver quality health care for lower cost" -- Hmmm.. another story running concurrently shows New Hampshire had a rocky implementation of Obamacare. For now, only Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is offering insurance under the plan. Ten hospitals of 26 in the state are not participating. A fifth of the state's health providers are not in Anthem's network, according to the Wall Street Journal ...interesting..especially with the Senate race going on. Former Massachusetts Republican Senator, Scot Brown, has taken a 5-point lead over Democratic incumbent Jeanne Shaheen since the ObamaCRAP rollout

Those TV advertised prescription drugs bother me, especially Chantix. Why would the FDA even approve Chantix? It's got more contraindications than you can shake a stick at but for a drug that's suppose to help stop an addiction, it seems that the addctive nature of the drug is more dangerous than smoking.

L-E story: "Investigators have linked a lone burglary suspect to more than 200 break-ins after his arrest in an east Columbus neighborhood, a detective said Wednesday. * No property has been recovered but investigators believe the thefts occurred over a three-year period, said police Sgt. Joey Weatherford of the department’s Burglary and Theft Unit. All together, victims may have lost more than $100,000 in laptops, jewelry, stolen vehicles and other items. * During a 3 p.m. news conference, Weatherford said the suspect won’t be identified as an extensive investigation continues. The thefts by the suspect account for nearly half of 448 cases cleared over the last five months" -- "a lone burglary suspect to more than 200 break-ins "? "No property has been recovered"? Wait a minute! This sounds more like a political opportunity announcement... a chance to conveniently "clear the books" and make Mayor Obamalinson's record look cleaner without any concrete evidence that this one criminal is actually responsible for all he's charged with.

Last week, one of my favorite people passed. I knew Tom Black for 46 years. I thought I knew him real well, but I found out that he had withheld something from me. During his eulogy, our pastor recited a story of his last day on Earth including his, basically, last meal. He wanted a chocolate milk shake from Chik-fil-A. I'd not had one myself, so after the funeral, my bride and I went through a Chik-fil-A drive through, and we ordered a sandwich and chocolate shake to share. It was as good as any I've ever had..including those handmade gems from Dinglewood and Jacob's back in the 50's & 60's. You'll want to get you one the next time you're out.

Those government backed reverse mortgages former Senator/actor Fred Thompson is hawking... do you think he gets through a "take" without laughing?

Online headline/story: "Jesse Jackson Finally Comments on Beating of Detroit Driver * Rev. Jesse Jackson said today that the brutal beating of a motorist in Detroit was a "sin against humanity" and he called for metro Detroit to come together in the wake of the attack." -- Wow! Things must even be tougher out there than we have imagined. Even Jesse Jackson can't make ends meet with 'race baiting'.

Online story: "Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said gun control advocates need to make opponents "afraid" as he announced funding for a new group. Bloomberg said Tuesday he will donate $50 million to Every Town for Gun Safety. He described the group as a counter to the National Rifle Association." -- Good grief.. the man who attacked 1st Amendment Rights by banning 16+ ounce soft drinks in NYC now wants to overturn the 2nd Amendment. Hmmm.. let's parse this.. he wants to give $50,000,000.00 to gunless groups to attack the rights of millions of law abiding taxpayers who are legally armed? Mainstream media must be in turmoil.. one of their wackos claims he's a Republican.

A political contributor on Fox News made the statement that the Clinton Campaign will be blaming Judas 00-Barnum more often than the Republicans for America's "ills" for the next two years. He's right.

You know...the next president will get more 3:00 AM phone calls than at anytime in our history. With the way Hillary answered the Benghazi one, do you won't her answering any more?

Those ads for food boxes to Israel for Passover. It is Passover .. why are ads still being run, when the money being spent on those ads could have actually been SPENT on food boxes?

Ever wonder why agnostics and atheists are so concerned about Christians sharing their faith? If I was as sure as them that God doesn't exist, then I wouldn't feel the need to worry about what Christians were doing, feeling, or thinking.

Online story: "Tuition is going up for Georgia students at all 31 state colleges and universities under a budget plan approved Tuesday by the state Board of Regents" -- This shows why college education is turning out such ill-prepared graduates.. Enrolments are down.. again... but what do our educators do.. raise tuition to keep excessive professors, also union members, employed. Private businesses know you need to cut costs to stay competitive in slow cycles, not raise them.

Online story: "The Supreme Court has made pretty clear that putting your money where your mouth is deserves broad protection as a form of free political speech. The justices are about to consider whether outright lying in a campaign deserves a similar First Amendment shield." -- A Supreme Court ruling condemning "lying in a campaign" would shut down free speech and the best outlets for the truth - "the letter to the editor" by individual concerned citizens. Even "whistleblowers" of government waste and graft would become a thing of the past. Politicians.. especially political party politicians of dubious character, would thrive on being able to shut down political opposition simply by "denying" anything that hasn't been proven in court. It wouldn't matter that what that politician was caught red-handed in public because the politician is considered "innocent" until proven guilty, and if such a claim were aired and the politician were to sue, using campaign funds at his/her disposal, the politician could financially ruin the truthsayer by dragging out an expensive civil suit. No, the Supreme Court needs to let this "sleeping dog' stay asleep.

Elections are coming up in a month or so. If you attend any school board candidates' forums/debates maybe consider asking each candidate, even the ones you are leaning for, these questions:
1 - What do you feel your role as a school board member is: To promote your district's needs or to promote the county's needs as a whole?
2 - As a school board member, do you see your role as being a voice for the School System's Administrative departments or a voice for the taxpayers?
3 - As a school board member, will it be your job to approve expenditures as requested or to scrutinize where revenues are best spent?
While I am thinking locally, the questions are pertinent everywhere.

L-E headline/story: "2011 CRYSTAL COURT MURDER * Double murderer seeking new trial * Case showed risks women face fleeing domestic abuse * Convicted March 7, 2011, and sentenced to life without parole for gunning down his daughters’ mother, Tyesha McNair, and her friend Terence Clark, (J(_*_)mes L----) B---- is back in the Muscogee County Jail, having been moved from prison for a new trial hearing before Muscogee County Superior Court Judge Bobby Peters. * Because of a restraining order from B----’s continuing abuse, he was not supposed to have been near McNair, but he answered McNair’s cellphone that night when her mother called. McNair was in the shower, Brock told her mother, Tonya Boyd. * Boyd was shocked, as she knew he wasn’t supposed to be there, and she repeatedly had tried to persuade her daughter to move home to get away from him. * That foreboding proved prescient" -- ??? On what basis is the convicted (_*_) entitled to "ask" much less be considered for reopening this case? If it's technical. then the (_*_) should only bne "entitled" for it if he can provide all the funds necessary to pay his own lawyers AND reimburse the taxpayers for all retrial expenses.

Soapbox moment: I subscribe to the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer e-edition. It's promoted as the electronic copy of the actual print edition. Lately, the L-E is inserting addition e-advertising pages into the electronic version that are not included in the print edition. I feel, no, I know this is a violation of the contract I entered into with the Columbus L-E. There's a class-action case waiting for some eager legal-eagle who's hungry. Feast on it.. I'm a good witness and I have aready electronically alerted the L-E management on their violation.

L-E's "Today in History feature: "In 1969, a jury in Los Angeles convicted Sirhan Sirhan of assassinating Sen. Robert F. Kennedy." -- Last month, Sirhan Sirhan celebrated his 70th Birthday while the Kennedy's "celebrated" Robert Kennedy assassination for the 46th year in a row. Justice has not been served!

Online story: " ST. LOUIS — After he was convicted of armed robbery in 2000, Cornealious Anderson was sentenced to 13 years behind bars and told to await instructions on when and where to report to prison. But those instructions never came. * So Anderson didn’t report. He spent the next 13 years turning his life around — getting married, raising three kids, learning a trade. He made no effort to conceal his identity or whereabouts. Anderson paid taxes and traffic tickets, renewed his driver’s license and registered his businesses. * Not until last year did the Missouri Department of Corrections discover the clerical error that kept him free. Now he’s fighting for release, saying authorities missed their chance to incarcerate him" -- Hmmm, now justice should be inflicted on court/jail employees who were derelict in their duties. And the driver's license employees should be canned - in retro - if he filled out the question about prior convictions correctly. Now, if the 13 years have exceeded what his incarceration sentence was, then the man should considered as having served it already.

Doesn't the above story make you feel confident that the OObamaCRAP death panels will handle your case efficiently?

L-E story: " The Obama administration’s transportation chief visited Atlanta to tour two large-scale projects.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx toured the new Atlanta Streetcar Vehicle Maintenance Facility and the east side trail of the Atlanta BeltLine project on Wednesday. " -- Judas 00-Barnum cab sure pick'em can't he.. Guess he learned his lesson after rolling out OObamaCRAP, and is sending his "experts" out to see bad examples first, and hoping somewhere he'll be able to find a successful venture to compare with that.

L-E story: "Former Morgan County Commissioner Stacy George of Baileyton reported a taxable income that was about one-tenth as much as (Incumbent Governor Robert) Bentley’s. George’s tax return listed his only income as his paycheck as a correctional officer in a state prison. His total pay was $38,099, and his taxable income was $34,940. He had no interest earnings, dividends or capital gains, and his federal taxes totaled $2,708. He had about twice that amount withheld from his paycheck, and he said he planned to use his refund to file for a divorce." -- Like most refunds, his were because he overpaid his withholdingd. Of course, if he had managed his W-4 exemptions form smartly (as Alabamians should look for in a Governor), he would have had over $200.00 a month extra to spend on his wife, and may not be facing a divorce situation.
