Yesterday morning on I-185 heading north.. minding my business, tooling around at 65 MPH, a car passed me very quickly. Normally, I'd just "pray" a police officer was shortly ahead and would catch him, but there was something different about the car that I want to share.. it was a local, well-known, driving school car with "student driver: decals on it. Of course it probably wasn't a student, but an INSTRUCTOR behind the wheel (probably late for work). I thought.. hey, I paid for that school to teach my kids how to drive.. no wonder they seem to have lead feet on the accelerator. Can I sue the school for the difference in insurance rates have jumped to after they've been caught speeding. Well, one thing for sure, my granddaughter (and other future ones) will not attend that school.

Item 11 - Financing of bond issue: $4,000,000.00 -- Hmmm. you know.. the bond issue is included to basically get the banking support for the SPLOST.. why not wait for the revenues to be collected, then pay as we go.

Item 12 - Retrofit "some" schools to add programming for autistic students: $3,500,000.00 -- Again a maintenance issue, but needed, and it should be built into the ordinary budget. On the other hand, it shows how the School System "thinks".. this is included for emotional support, but based on the set aside portion of the "wish LUST", the School System is more interested in maintaining softball and baseball fields and weight rooms..... and buying off bankers.
