These "protests" in NY, CA, et al "for justice" are, in fact, spurred on by the "protestors" basic disregard/disrespect for justice.
---
It seems a couple of celebrities, by somebody's account (I'm not repeating the names because I think it's a pure celebrity PR stunt for exposure, and... AND, I've never heard of either one) are paying for "food trucks" to get food to the NYC "die in" protestors. Hmmm, wouldn't it look more realistic if the "die in" crowd weren't stuffing their faces?
---
The accusations against Bill Cosby ....The fact that many kooks willing to sell themselves for a few minutes of shame (then you remember their lawyers have no shame)...Just the sheer quantity makes you look a second time, but the first one really bothers me". If she was 15, and at Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion, why wouldn't she be suing/exposing Hef. Who'd have questioned Hefner as a lech, and, in my book, if a 15 year old "were in the House", Hef would have known it....and her blackmail attempt would have started years and millions of dollars ago.
---
Berkeley has not failed. It has risen to the forefront of the protest scene.. you know, back in the 60's the Berkeley protests reflected an ill feeling that separated the new generation of young adults from the politicians of the times.. "Make Love, Not War" was the battle cry. Now, the Berkeley crowd is embroiled in an attempt to undermine of Constitution by protesting the legal system... "Make Noise, Not Justice".
---
The St Louis "RaciallyActiveMorons" are now protesting by scrawling "I can't breathe" on their workout shirts. Wouldn't "I can't think for myself" be more appropriate?
---
L-E headline/story: "Recycling reader will get her 95-gallon can * “We used to stop at about every 12th house, but now we stop at about every seventh,” Biegler said. * So we’re doing much better, but not as well as Biegler says she wishes we could. “I wish I had $2.2 million so every household could have one,” Biegler said" -- Hmmm.. you know,, if we scrapped the $244K RiverWalk bathroom, Biegler could be 10% closer to her goal.
---
You know.. the NCAA is going to rethink its "bowl eligibility with 6 wins" rule.. One bowl match up features "bowl eligible" Fresno State with a minimum 6 wins... BUT.. Fresno State has already lost 7 games this year.
---
The Independence Bowl looks to be the "loser" this season.. two 6-6 teams, Miami & South Carolina, are meeting in Shrevesport, LA. Now,, how many Miami & South Carilina fans are wanting to leave their Christmas comfort at home with family to go to Shrevesport, LA, and how many Louisianans really care about Miami and South Carolina?
---
The strangest bowl game may be the Russell Athletic Bowl.. wonder if Nike will allow Oklahoma and Clemson will have to wear contract conflicting Russell Athletic made uniforms?
---
I see both SEC "Bulldogs" are going to bowls.. Mississippi State is going to Miami for the Orange Bowl against GA Tech.. those other "dawgs" are heading to Charlotte, NC for the "Belk (?) Bowl" agaist Louisville.. Why?
---
OH! The SEC will be represented in 12, that's right, 12 bowl games.
---
HuffPost headline: "John Kerry Says Iran Deal Could Happen Sooner Than Expected" -- Hmmm.. wouildn't it be nice if Kerry KNEW when the deal would happen? If Kerry KNEW, then I'd think the US might be getting the best part of the deal.
---
That Rolling Stone story which spurred on UVA President Teresa Sullivan's civil rights profiling of all UVA men are rapists has really caught fire. The fraternity crucified is exploring its legal actions against the magazine and the UVA president.
---
L-E headline/story: "Eufaula officials tell ALDOT city owns historic median * “Contrary to statements made by (Director) Mr. John Cooper to the media, ALDOT does not ‘own’ the street or the median,” Potthoff wrote. “Eufaula Avenue is a street depicted on the 1836 plan of Irwinton as Eufaula Street. The street was dedicated to the City of Eufaula, and as a dedicated street it is owned by the City. There is no deeded right-of-way from the City to the State of Alabama with respect to this portion of North Eufaula Avenue.”" -- Go Eufaula! If Peter Sellers were alive today, I could see him starring in a sequel to one of his earlier movies.. "The Mouse That Roared... Back!"
---
The ALDOT would probably want to fill in the canals of Venice so cars could get through easier.
---
Jonathan Gruber Stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Play close attention to the Republicans for the next two years. None of their endeavors will benefit the poor, the working class or the middle class. Thank God Obama can veto their evil schemes." -- Good grief.. this person honestly believes that another Obamageddon handout will make a difference in his/her life.. of course, the key word here is "honestly", and who can still believe anything Obamageddon has said or will say?
---
L-E story: " Superintendent David Lewis is asking the board to approve Theresa Thornton as the replacement for the retired Sharon Adams as chief financial officer. * Thornton is currently treasurer for the Fulton County Schools Board of Education in Atlanta." -- What is it that when a major executive of the school system leaves that someone is brought in from the outside to fill it? I learned that my first duty as an executive was to train someone who could take my place. That was so there would be continuity following a promotion or just job transference. Now, it will take years before a new person from outside could locate existing trouble spots. Does not the recent example set by St Francis highlight the necessary apsect of having more than 1 person knowing where all the money is kept or going? Regardless, a full outside audit should be initiated at once.
---
From above story: " • Lewis will ask the board to approve T***** C***** as director for Project AWARE (Advancing Wellness & Resilience in Education) and PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports)." -- Hmmm.. it would nice if the school system was as adept at educating the students as it is in coming up with job acronyms.. How about one for Common Core....Columbus Only Minimally Mentions Others Now Care Over Real Education..
---
I just rethought an earlier headline I used.. "Candy Crowley leaving CNN after 27 years" -- When you think about it, there's a lotta correlation between this event and 27 years ago. Is it any wonder CNN hasn't grown or evolved into a relevant news entity.
---
L-E story: "NEW YORK — “Peter Pan Live” didn’t exactly fly for NBC. * The three-hour live musical starring Allison Williams reached 9.1 million viewers Thursday night" -- Hmmm, and what's even worse, is out of theb 9.1 Million viewers is that only the .1 million watched the last two hours of it.
---
There was a story about UGA beating Colorado in a basketball game in Athens. This isn't news.. everybody knows the Colorado basketball players can't legally "jump as high" in Georgia.
