American Alan Gross had been released from a Cuban prison after 5 years. It's being said it was for Cuba's humanitarianism . What BS! It's either already or going to cost us a ton!

Obamageddon is not entitled to offset either the 1959 Cuban Embargo Act nor its reinforcement support of these six statutes: the Trading with the Enemy Act of 1917, the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, the Cuba Assets Control Regulations of 1963, the Cuban Democracy Act of 1992, the Helms–Burton Act of 1996, and the Trade Sanctions Reform and Export Enhancement Act of 2000.

Open enrolment for OObamaCRAP ended Dec 15th. You know, even the conservative news sources haven't been informative about this years OObamaCRAP enrollees. Why?

Online quote source: "“Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.” - Buddha" -- Hmmm, of course, Obamageddon's translation of this is "Thousands of votes can be bought with a single welfare program, and the program will never cease, nor misery decreased."

The GA election racial numbers were just released by the Secretary of State.. about half of the registered black votes went to the polls (743,414), and 58% of the registered white voters cast their ballots (1,650,000). The AJC is trying to make something racist out of the numbers, but what it shows is that more white voters voted for Democrats than black voters voted for Republicans. Of course, the AJC pretty much wrote off the impact/importance of the Asian/Hispanic/Native American voters. Looks like another "fail" by mainstream media to explain why voters no longer support Obamageddon on an issue.

Online story: "A transgender inmate serving a life sentence in Massachusetts is not entitled to sex change surgery paid for from pubic funds, a federal appeals court said Tuesday. * "After carefully considering the community standard of medical care, the adequacy of the provided treatment, and the valid security concerns articulated by the DOC (Department of Corrections), we conclude that the district court erred and that the care provided to Kosilek by the DOC does not violate the Eighth Amendment," Judge Juan R. Torruella wrote for the majority. * The court also found that Kosilek's past history could cause problems if she was incarcerated with women." -- You know, it's sad that the court system accepted such a case; sadder still that part of the rejection was based on costs and moving this (_*_) to a woman's facility, but saddest of all is that I "feel" the court should have granted "her" wish, and then had "her" assigned to a cell in the rapist wing of the prison.

L-E story: "The Mayor’s Commission on Unity, Diversity and Prosperity will hold its second annual MLK: The Dream Lives commemoration on Saturday, Jan. 17 at noon at the historic Liberty Theater, the mayor’s office announced this week." -- Is there anyone who will attend that actually remembers what MLK's dream was? It was about character mattering more more than skin color, but you sure can't tell by what al Sharlatan, Jackson, Obama, and Holder rant about.

WTVM 9 story: "A non-profit organization "The People's Revolution" will be holding a "die in" protest in Columbus, Ga. * to protest the killings of Eric Garner, John Crawford and Mike Brown." -- Aren't there enough killings of blacks by blacks here in Columbus this group could protest to find a solution rather than exacerbating the problem?

L-E headline: "Proposed SPLOST renewal: Superintendent presents $192M preliminary list of projects" -- In a word, "NO"..
Let's start with specific requests: $56,000,000.00 for a new Spencer High.. the current Spencer is one of the newer rebuilds in Columbus.. The MCSD system never maintained it and now want to scrap it based on a "soil condition" that existed then but was ignored.. to boot, we've seen how throwing close to $40,000,000.00 into a new Carver has been an absolute waste. Either last year or the year before, the most technologically rich school could not produce a single qualified student to participate in the S.T.A.R. program which was just scoring a less than stellar SAT score number.
Next.. the list wants $5,000,000.00 for new buses.. the MCSD has over 500 in its inventory yet only 207 drivers.. how about the MCSD selling off surplus units, and/or scavenge parts from some to update others. In addition, the bus maintenance facility sits on some of the most valuable property in Columbus which could be sold and the facility moved to other MCDSD owned property.. Forget the $250,000.00 for a study, I suggest the old Brown Avenue School (a.k.a. Columbus Roberts Center)..
Next.. why does a school built for a certain amount of students need an expansion of the lunch facility...Northside High.. one of the newer schools at that.
Next is $4,000,000.00 financing of bond issue. Solution.. don't issue any bonds (I know that will lessen support of the banks, but we're in this together) . The MCSD should basically prioritize all projects and don't start one until that much revenue is in the bank to pay for it.
Now, as a suggestion, I think the MCSD should just put individual projects on the ballot, and let all of Columbus decide which issues are worthwhile to extend such a tax.

I usually don't want "inmates of an asylum" ruling the roost, but I think in the case of the School Board, students from all the schools Student Governments should have to vote approval before any of them run for re-election. Perhaps if the School Board concentrated on student needs rather than trying to gain support of the School Administration and other politically concern adults, we might actually see better results.

L-E headline: "Local Cubans welcome historic renewal of U.S. relations" -- Good grief.. who did this "reporter" talk to... one person, and claims Local Cubans (plural) welcome renewal? Obamageddon is not entitled to offset either the 1959 Cubna Embargo Act nor its reinforcement support of these six statutes: the Trading with the Enemy Act of 1917, the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, the Cuba Assets Control Regulations of 1963, the Cuban Democracy Act of 1992, the Helms–Burton Act of 1996, and the Trade Sanctions Reform and Export Enhancement Act of 2000.

You know.. the protests against the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner make you almost think the protest is against arresting criminals if they are black...

L-E headline: "New York to ban fracking" -- Well, we know NY thinks taxes of $58.50 on a carton of cigarettes helps its economy, so why wouldn't NY Democrats associate curtailing other forms of business that can jump starting its economy?
