Happy Mother's Day! .. to the present ones and the memories of those past.
Roses all around!

Online story: "A new high-tech Russian tank stalled during a military
demonstration Thursday, prompting a futile effort to tow the T-14 Armata out of
Moscow's Red Square. * Russian officials said they meant for that to happen. *
"We wanted to show how an evacuation of a tank would take place," the parade
announcer told Russia Today. "It was planned that the tank would stop.” " --
"meant for that to happen"? .. Hmmm, and we wondered where ex-Obamageddon
Press Corpses would ever be able to find another job?
---
Online story: "North Korea said Saturday that it successfully test-fired a
newly developed ballistic missile from a submarine in what would be the latest
display of the country's advancing military capabilities." -- Hmmm.. has anyone
seen a story about the submarine resurfacing anywhere?
---
Online headline: "Tom Brady likely to be suspended next week * NFL
Commissioner Roger Goodell has reportedly decided to reprimand the Patriots
quarterback for his part in the Deflategate scandal." -- Good grief.. A winning
QB is being reprimanded and will be "suspended" in some way off a little loss of
air, but Hillewinsky is "moving about the country" after illegally deleting her
State Department e-mails from her probably illegal (well, it ought to be if it
isn't) personal server. Let's "draft" Goodell for Special Congressional
Committee Prosecutor!

There's a new entry into the low-emission vehicle field.. AIRpod.. it runs
on heated compressed air...Some people are taking this pretty serious.. it got a
$5,000,000.00 investment on "Shark Tank" which is pretty impressive in itself.
Rumor already have the second version being built especially for the
Washington, DC area.. heating cold compressed air will be eliminated. the
vehicle can run of political hot air promise.

Online headline: "NYPD addresses 'tough time' for law enforcement * Police
commissioner William Bratton called for respect and understanding during his
speech at a slain NYPD cop's funeral Friday." -- "tough time for law
enforcement"? I reckon so when the mayors of NYC and Baltimore are the ones
removing the barn doors and aiding & abetting street thugs.
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "England May Soon Have Its First Women-Only Mosque" --
Hmmm.. you have to wonder what ISIS women "will cut off" males on video, and if
they will be praying to ALICE.
---
Online story: "A growing feud between President Obama and Democratic Sen.
Elizabeth Warren kicked up a notch Saturday, with the president rejecting her
recent warnings about a long-sought trade deal and saying in an interview,
“Elizabeth is a politician just like everybody else.” -- "just like everybody
else"? You know.. this is what's wrong in America.. politicians feel the world
revolves around them. Politicians feel that the other 300 Million Americans
cannot fend or do for themselves. Politicians feel the are more equal than
others. Washington, DC should be a Netflix series on the modern day "Animal
Farm".

From the "details must be closer examined" department - L-E story on
"UPtown" : " “When I was deputy city manager, I could come to Broadway at
lunchtime and get the same parking space every day. That’s a fact and that’s
been 10 plus years ago,” said Bishop, now president and chief executive officer
of Uptown Columbus Inc. “That won’t happen today. At lunchtime, you can’t hardly
find a parking space.” -- "get the same parking space everyday".. "that won't
happen today"? True... but.. 10 years ago there were 107 more parking spaces on
Broadway, and not too many college kids were "dorming" in downtown.. A lot has
gone on in the last 10 years (in fact, for 31/2 of these years, my bride and I
contributed to the new look of downtown), but parking allocation has been a
tertiary concern.

Jonathan Gruber stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " If the sheriff would take
care of his constitutional duties before spending on his elective extras, he
wouldn’t run out of money every year. He badly needs a course in basic
economics." -- I wish the L-E would cancel its subscription with Mayor
TomLYINGson's office staff...Sheriff Darr doesn't need a course in basic
economics, Mayor TomLYINGson and her staff need a refresher course in the
effects of unfunded mandates from the DOJ and Court of Appeal. And Sheriff Darr
does a lot better job at budget proposals.. his are for what he has to have,
Mayor TomLYINGson's are crammed with personal whims that have eroded our fund
balance.
---
Double extra stupid Jonathan Gruber LIV's L-E "soundoff": " If the
Republican Party is not going to represent the common man in any way, then the
Republican Party is going to surely die." -- Hmmm if standing for personal
accountability, smaller government and less taxes are not what benefits "the
common man" we are in deeper do-do than we ever imagined.. Oh, and when you look
at those 3 items, not one is on the Democratic Party agenda.
---
Triple-extra stupid Jonathan Gruber LIV's L-E "soundoff": "The tally of
this year’s Page One winners further proves how economically segregated Muscogee
County’s schools are. Yet idiots still think the solution is to intensify
punishment of already overworked teachers in the poorest schools." -- All what
this "soundoffer" says is that students who wish to excel can do so if they
choose to do so. It also says that the MCSD administration and the elected MCSB
have no clue on how to motivate students who do not want to excel. No shiny new
buildings will make a difference.
---
L-E story: " Minutes before the local NAACP gathered for a “No Justice,
No Peace” rally Saturday at the Columbus Government Center, a minister
confronted the group of about 30 and called on them to stop their “foolishness”
to highlight an alleged attack at the Muscogee County Jail. * The Rev. Lafayette
Claiborne, wearing an Uncle Sam hat and armed with a bullhorn, told local NAACP
president Tonza Thomas that she stood for everything but the right thing in the
group’s rally for former jail inmate Christopher Russell. A jail video shows two
deputies jumping on Russell during a 2013 incident in an elevator at the lockup.
Claiborne, who worked at the former youth detention facility on Schatulga Road
for eight years, asked Thomas if she ever served in corrections or heard how
inmates talk to jailers?" -- Reverend Claiborne for NAACP president!
