Online story: "A San Francisco man who created the underground drug-selling
website Silk Road was sentenced Friday to life in prison by a judge who cited
six deaths from drugs bought on his site and five people he tried to have
killed. * Ross Ulbricht's 2013 arrest shut down what prosecutors described as an
unprecedented one-stop online shopping mall where the supply of drugs was
virtually limitless, enabling nearly 4,000 drug dealers to expand their markets
from the sidewalk to cyberspace * U.S District Judge Katherine also ordered $183
million forfeiture. Prosecutors had not asked for a life sentence, saying only
they wanted substantially more than the 20-year mandatory minimum. * His lawyer,
J***** Dr(_*_)tel, said he was "disappointed tremendously" by the sentence." --
"disappointed tremendously" by the sentence? I reckon so..his clients access to
pay his fees was shut off..and now no drug dealers will hire him in the future..
but you know.. it sure would be refreshing to hear an attorney to say he/she was
"disappointed tremendously" in his/her client and the miseries his/her client
wrought on society. Unfortunately, that aint going to happen

Online headline: "New trend scares Putin far more than Obama does" -- DOH!
Reruns of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" scare Putin more than Obamageddon..
---
Online headline: "The Tampa Bay Lightning will play for the Stanley Cup,
winning their third straight game at Madison Square Garden 2-0 on Friday
evening." -- Wow.. let's be honest, but who in the Baby Boom generation would
ever have dreamt of a Florida team winning at ice hockey?
---
Online headline: "The US may have attempted to hack North Korea" -- "may
have attempted"? Good grief.. can't Obamageddon do anything right?
---
HuffPOOPOO "headlie": "Every Child Worldwide Will Get 12 Years Of Free
Education By 2030: UN" Good grief.. has the UN paid Bill Clinton to parse and
define "free"? To liberal politicians, "free" just means somebody else pays for
the costs and expenses while they take credit for a campaign promise that gets
them re-elected.
---
Online headline: "International pop-music icon Cher is not particularly
impressed with how President Obama has been waging war on the Islamic State." --
Hmmm.. guess Cher is trying to get the Baby Boomers to start playing and buying
her music again.. but it's not going to work..
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "GOP Candidates Can't Answer 'Just One Question':
Would You Have Invaded Iraq?" -- Hmmm.. even Hillewinsky was for it before she
was against it, but why is mainstream media more interested in Republicans'
answers to this than they are to Hillewinsky's answers to Benghazi, her e-mail
deletions, and her Foundations' "pay for play" (a.k.a. "bribery") donations? You
know.. it would be nice if mainstream media asked Hillewinsky ANY question that
wasn't pre-approved by HIllewinsky to be asked...
---
From the "speaking of questions mainstream media ought to be asking
Hillewinsky" department - Online story: "The State Department under Hillary
Clinton authorized arms sales to countries that had donated millions of dollars
to the Clinton Foundation, according to a new report. * The State Department
approved $165 billion worth of weapons sales to 20 foreign governments during
Clinton's tenure, the International Business Times reports. Among the countries
involved in the sales were Algeria, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia
and the United Arab Emirates. * The Clinton Foundation received between $54
million and $141 million in donations from the foreign governments and defense
contractors involved in those sales, the report says. * Certain defense
contractors also paid her husband, former President Bill Clinton, for speaking
engagements during that time" -- Once again.. why hasn't George
Stomped-his-own-nose-in-it been fired?
---
Online story: "A new book by Peter Schweizer, Clinton Cash, questions
whether foreign governments sought to curry influence with the Clintons by
making donations to the foundation. * The Clinton campaign has dismissed the
book as a hit job by a conservative author, arguing it is filled with "sloppy
research and attacks pulled out of thin air." -- "attacks pulled out of thin
air"? I tell you what.. the mainstream media should at least ask Hillewinsky why
she doesn't "sue" Schweizer in court to refute his claims.. yeah..right.. I
don't think she'll ever get into a question and answer session in a court where
she takes an oath to tell the truth. (PS - Congressional Committee hearing don't
count, has half the "jurors" are Democrat supporters)

Random thought: There's one real good reason not to merge the Columbus
Police in with the Sheriff's and/or Marshal's Departments. I still want to tell
my granddaughter to look for, and respect, the blue uniforms if she's needing
help.

Online story: "Just last week, while the overwhelming majority of Americans
were preparing to pay homage to the fallen heroes of our military who made the
ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms, a Muslim leader in San Francisco publicly
came out against the very idea of Memorial Day. * Zahra Billoo, executive
director of the San Francisco chapter of the Council on American-Islamic
Relations, took to Twitter to publicize her inner struggle with honoring the
fallen on Memorial Day while remaining staunchly anti-war." -- Hey,
Obamageddon.. would you please recount why you consider Muslims as being thread
worn into the very fiber of our history? I think American soldiers serving our
country can do without this receiving this "CAIR Package"...
---
Rehash of yesterday L-E story: "U.S. Rep. Sanford Bishop used his brief
remarks at the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce military appreciation
breakfast on Thursday morning to reiterate his concerns about deep budget cuts
to the U.S. military. * Starting his comments by saying “our freedom is not
free,” Bishop was adamant that this is not the time to slash military spending."
-- Good grief.. I wish we could hear Bishop say, "the War on Poverty entitlement
programs are not free"! When Democrats start wrapping themselves up in the
American flag for re-election concerns, they ought to be asked why Democrats
have started entitlement programs that have cost the American taxpayers $22
TRILLION dollars in the past 50 years, yet are the initiators of military cuts
when faced with funding entitlements versus our soldiers. In the 239 year
history from the date of declaring and winning our independence from England,
ONLY $7 Trillion dollars have been committed to our military to keeping our
freedoms.

L-E headline/story: "Black clergy, LGBT community discuss film * The film,
titled “The New Black,” drew about 25 people to an auditorium at the Columbus
Public Library on Macon Road. The private screening was organized by EITA Inc.,
Georgia Equality and Promised Land Films, an organization that released the film
in 2013. * Among those in the audience were about 10 members of the
Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance in Columbus who serve as ministers at
black churches in Columbus and Phenix City. They watched as the film depicted a
national schism between socially conservative black congregations and the black
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community. * some local black ministers
who attended Friday’s screening said they see their religious views against gay
marriage and the push for gay rights as two different issues.
* “I don’t think that we should equate sexual preference with being racially born,” said the Rev. Chester Hayes, pastor of Greater Beulah Baptist Church, during a question-and-answer period following the documentary. * “I think there should be a dividing line. Our preference and our birth are two different things and I don’t think that we should tie them together.” -- What I see is a very small element (about 15) is trying to drive an additional racial wedge between blacks and whites in order to push their own agenda. As Rev. Chester Hayes said, " “I think there should be a dividing line. Our preference and our birth are two different things and I don’t think that we should tie them together.” He's right, and this alone could be a unifying building block for better racial relations and tolerances in Columbus..

Jonathan Gruber triple-double extra stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Will one
Republican step forward and demand the millions stolen by Wall Street and other
corporations be shared with Americans who have been robbed? We are waiting …" --
Hmmm.. on the other hand, how about a Democrat stepping forward and ask for
accountability of Obamageddon's "bail out" of Wall Street and the Unions, the
Carter/Clinton banking reforms that created the housing/mortgage "bubble burst",
the waste of $22 TRILLION dollars on the Democrats' "War on Poverty" (speaking
of that.. have you ever seen a Democrat wave a "Mission Accomplished Banner on
this after 50 years) and the Clinton Foundation foreign donations?
---
A "get's it" L-E "soundoff": " Superintendent Lewis asked board member
Myers if he was calling MCSD staff liars, but didn’t want to discuss what Myers
was accusing him of lying about … isn’t that strange?" -- No stranger than
Hillewinsky trying to dismiss her scandals as "conspiracies", yet not wanting to
discuss and/or refute them.... or Bill Clinton saying, "I did not have sexual
relations with that woman... Monica Lewinsky" .
---
L-E headline/story: "Cuba removed from U.S. terror list * The Obama
administration on Friday formally removed Cuba from a U.S. terrorism blacklist,"
-- Good grief.. looks like getting the Democrats added to the list would be good
for America's future....
---
Instant repeat - L-E headline/story: "Cuba removed from U.S. terror list *
The Obama administration on Friday formally removed Cuba from a U.S. terrorism
blacklist" -- Did you catch that? ... "The Obama administration on Friday
formally removed Cuba from a U.S. terrorism blacklist" .. Have you noticed how
Obamageddon will spread the "credit" on his worst decisions, versus claiming it
all on others that he doesn't feel will come back to haunt him in the history
books...?
---
Where is Bleep Veep Biden? He made such inferences to running for the
Democrat nomination during Obamgeddon's first term, yet is suspiciously "quiet"
at this moment.. has anyone checked the Clinton Foundation and Biden's
checking/savings accounts for any huge corresponding amounts of money being
exchanged?

Random thought: Our Columbus Ledger-Enquirer still runs reruns of
Doonesbury. Why? Is it just that the L-E cannot... will not .. let go of the
past?

L-E headline/story: "Columbus woman robbed outside of Greystone at the
Woodlands apartment complex * A 55-year-old Columbus woman told police that
someone robbed her outside of her Greystone at the Woodlands apartment Wednesday
night, authorities said. * It's unclear if Columbus officials have named any
suspects in the case, but reports show that no arrests have been made. * Two
officers were called to the 6000 block of River Road in reference to the robbery
Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. * Police revealed in the report that the incident
happened on a front sidewalk between 9:40 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., but they didn't
indicate what was taken in the robbery." -- "didn't indicate what was taken in
robbery"? Well, for starters, a community/area of Columbus had its security and
its expectations stolen.. add on that Mayor TomLYINGson supporters in the area
are not going to slough this off as non-existent crime, and her argument for
cutting the budget on our law enforcement personnel just got shot down.. I'd say
there was plenty stolen...

From the "you have to read between the lines to see what is not being said"
department - L-E headline/story: "Federal judge arrested last year to resign
from bench * Politicians from both parties called for him to step down after
arrest for domestic battery * Several high-ranking politicians of both parties
had called for Fuller to voluntarily resign. Alabama’s two U.S. senators,
Republicans Jeff Sessions and Richard Shelby, have both said the GOP appointee
should give up his judgeship." -- You know.. if this judge had been a Democrat
appointee, there'd be only Republicans calling for his resignation, and
Democrats would be crying "discrimination" and "right wing conspiracy".
---
L-E headline: "Coaches blast new nCAA eligibility standards * A new
organization of minority basketball and football coaches is calling for changes
in NCAA eligibility standards set to be enforced in 2016. * The National
Association For Coaching Equity and Development issued a statement to The
Associated Press on Friday saying the changes disproportionately target minority
and less affluent students. * Next year, the NCAA will set tougher standards for
athletes to participate as freshmen. They include 10 core courses that must be
completed before an athlete’s senior year in high school, and a grade-point
average of at least 2.3 in 16 core courses, up from a 2.0 GPA. * NAFCED held its
first annual meeting in Atlanta last weekend. The group is led by coaches such
as Tubby Smith and John Thompson III." -- Good grief.. These coaches should be
grateful that the NCAA is try to make better students out of high school
athletes! Higher grade requirements will benefit all players to be better
students.. capable students before they take on the rigors of a college
curriculum.. Objecting to higher standards makes the NAFCED look like it doesn't
care for the athlete's future after sports.

L-E headline: "McIlroy misses cut at Irish Open" -- Well.. Rory has always
said he wanted to emulate Tiger Woods.. but I'm guessing he would have liked to
have 15 or more years more before he started..

L-E headline/story: "TOP 10 HIGHEST-PAID FEMALE CEOS * Last year, the
median pay for women CEOs rose to $15.9 million, a 21 percent gain from a year
earlier, according to a study by executive compensation data firm Equilar and
The Associated Press. That compared with median pay for male CEOs of $10.4
million, which was down 0.8 percent from 2013." -- Well.. there are 10 women
CEOs highlighted, and all are more eminently qualified to be a president of the
US than Hillewinsky. All are required to live within budgets, control expenses,
and create timely jobs.. none of those requirements are even in Hillewinsky's
"playbook". Oh.. and do see any complaints about these women's pay having to be
equal to men's?
