Online headline/story: "Senate Democrats block action on Obama's trade agenda * Senate Democrats dealt President Barack Obama a stinging setback on trade Tuesday, blocking efforts to begin a full-blown debate on a top priority of his second term. * Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., said Democrats were "throwing their own president under the bus." Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., called the results "pretty shocking," but he said the "door remains open" for trade legislation. * Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson of Florida took a darker view, however. "Maybe what McConnell really wants to do is embarrass the president," -- "what McConnell really wants to do is embarrass the president"? Good grief..Obamageddon has more than proved no one can embarrass him more than himself..well, with the exception of Michelle's vacations...

---
Instant repeat: "Senate Democrats block action on Obama's trade agenda * Tuesday's vote highlighted the deep divide between Obama and the many congressional Democrats who say such trade deals hurt U.S. jobs. * Most Republican lawmakers support free-trade agreements." -- You know .. how can Democrats oppose trade agreements on the basis of them hurting US jobs, when Democrats won't hesitate to enact more and higher taxes on corporations that actually SEND the jobs overseas?

---
From the "overt mainstream media bias" department - Online headline/story: "Jeb Bush struggles to clarify stance on wisdom of invading Iraq * Bush's comments came as he tried to clarify his stance on the unpopular war started in 2003 by President George W. Bush. " -- "war STARTED in 2003 by President George W. Bush"? Has mainstream media already written 9-11-01 out of history?

HuffPOOPOO "headlie": "Bill De Blasio Takes Page From Conservative Playbook To Fight Income Inequality" -- "page from Conservative Playbook"? Hmmm.. I guess, in a warped way, some pages of "The Communist Manifesto" would be considered "conservative" by most liberals..

---
Instant replay - HuffPOOPOO "headlie"/story: " Bill De Blasio Takes Page From Conservative Playbook To Fight Income Inequality * De Blasio officially introduced his plan, called The Progressive Agenda to Combat Inequality, during a Tuesday press conference on Capitol Hill. Earlier in the day, he joined Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) for an event hosted by the progressive Roosevelt Institute. * The agenda calls for 13 specific policy changes, including approving universal pre-K, raising the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour, closing the carried interest loophole and passing national paid family leave and paid sick leave. De Blasio has already enacted some of these policies in New York since taking office last year." -- You know.. responsible people sit in amazement at how detached the Democratic Party is from the basic tenets of job creation...but the "The Progressive Agenda to Combat Inequality" should clear it up.. not one aspect of the de Bl(_*_)io's "plan" gives businesses a reason to expand.. for that matter.. to even stay in business.

---
Comment on above item: NYC's Mayor de Bl(_*_)io is obviously out of touch with Governor Cuomo.. Cuomo has ads running nationally trying to attract businesses to New York by offering them 10 years of NO TAXES!

---
Online headline: "Report: N. Korea leader publicly executes general * A South Korea spy agency confirmed Wednesday that Kim Jong-un ordered the killng of his Defense Chief Hyon Yong-chol for treason before hundreds in April." -- Good grief.. who, in his mind, does Jong-un think would want to invade/capture North Korea?

---
Online headline: "US charges 4 in Iowa after intercepting gun shipments to Lebanon" -- Hmmm..wonder if the Clinton Foundation was making a donation ahead of the Iowa Caucus... either that or the guns may have been part of the DOJ's "fast&furious 2" sequel..

---
Did you see this video of a wise, hard working barn owl trying to take a meal home to its family when a hawk feels it's entitled to have it instead? In a way, this is the "poster child" of the Democratic Party's "redistribution policy". BTW, we still have "hope"....the owl wins!

Online headline: "Price of gas could be at its lowest in 6 years this summer" -- Hmmm.. maybe in 49 states, but the GA Legislature and Governor Deal are slapping about $ 0.30 per gallon on our gas beginning July 1st.

---
Online story: "A couple claiming to live off the grid in rural Breckinridge County was in court Tuesday to face criminal charges. * Joe and Nichole Naugler both pleaded not guilty to criminal charges. * Nichole Naugler is charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Authorities said they had a court order last week to remove the Nauglers' 10 children, after the state determined their living conditions were unsafe." -- "the state determined their living conditions were unsafe"? Hmmm.. using the same logic, Illinois should step in and remove every child from inner city Chicago neighborhoods.

---
Online headline: "UVa dean slaps Rolling Stone with lawsuit over story" -- Speaking of getting slapped.. UVa President Teresa Sullivan needs to be "slapped" as well.. with a huge "gender bias" suit for shutting down fraternities but not sororities.

I have a wet area in my back yard.. I wasn't sure if it was a broken water pipe or perhaps a blocked water drain pipe so I checked to make sure all spouts and water using appliances were "off", thenwent to my meter box to see if it was allowing any water through. Guess what.. when the CWW put those new wifi meters in, it took away our ability to see whether the meter dial was spinning. Guess I will have to call the CWW to come check it out.. that will probably cost more than the CWW is saving by having meter readers collect data from their trucks.

---
L-E headline: "NAACP president brings jail, review panel concerns to Columbus Council" -- Hmmm.. I hope Council states and reviews its concerns about black-on-black crime with the NAACP.
---
L-E story: "A man accused of molesting two 5-year-old girls by inappropriately touching them with his hands and mouth pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of child molestation. * Judge Gil McBride sentenced 37-year-old Paul William Neidinger to serve 15 years in prison plus another 15 on probation upon his release. Neidinger also will have to register as a sex offender and stay away from children." -- Good grief.. now both girls will be 20 when this incorrigible pervert gets out of prison and relive the horrors all over again.. and sentencing such to "stay away from children" is about as effective as making it illegal for convicted felons to take possession of an illegal gun...
---
From above story: "His indictment said the incidents took place between Sept. 13 and Sept. 15, 2013. He initially was indicted on one count of child molestation and one of aggravated child molestation, but the latter was reduced to child molestation for his plea." -- "reduced (from aggravated child molestation) to child molestation for his plea? Good grief.. -- the DA's office reduced a crime for a plea that puts the pervert back on the street years earlier than otherwise...As Pogo said, "We have met the enemy, and it is us."
---
L-E story: "The U.S. Army Medical Command has pulled the plug on a third-party staffing contract at Fort Benning’s Adult Primary Care Clinic, which now treats about 8,000 military retirees and their family members. * “After evaluating patient services and the cost of running the clinic, the government exercised a contract option, where they can terminate or choose to not renew the contract,” the statement said. * As the transition is made from the contract staffing to government employees, patients should continue to experience “high quality” health-care just as they have before, the hospital said" -- "patients should continue to experience “high quality” health-care just as they have before"? ... Wait a minute.. if the Army is firing an entity for its service and high cost levels, it's oxymoronic to claim patients will get that same level "high quality" of service..

L-E's "Thought for today, “What this country needs is a good five-cent cigar.” — Thomas R. Marshall, U.S. vice president (1854-1925). (To which American humorist Franklin P. Adams replied, “What this country really needs is a good five-cent nickel.” -- Hmm.. and Obamageddon has updated the quote to"What this county needs is a good five-cent value for our dollar."
---
L-E headline/story: "Obama library locale a lift to Chicago South Side * The library, to be located in one of two public parks near campus, is expected to be a boon to nearby communities that struggle with gang violence, drugs, and unemployment. The University of Chicago has said the library and its 800,000 expected visitors a year will translate into dozens of new businesses, thousands of jobs and tens of millions of dollars in revenue." -- "thousands of jobs"? Good grief.. they'll mainly be security jobs requiring thousands of more guns to be present in gangland.. or.. could it be that strict Chicago gun laws will prohibit security guard from carrying pistols, and no visitors will dare go there?
---

L-E editorial comment: "The Muscogee County School District is one of two taxing authorities in Columbus. (The Consolidated Government is, of course, the other.) * The district has not raised the school tax rate of 23.37 mills for 18 years, and there is no plan, either from Superintendent David Lewis or the Muscogee County School Board, to raise it for the next fiscal year, either." -- "no plan"? Whoa! wait a minute earlier this month the MCSD ran an ad in the L-E stating it was considering a millage increase to be finalized in its June 15th meeting!
