Another from the "let's tippy-toe around mentioning the 800 pound gorilla in the room" department - Online story: "A 9-year-old boy was targeted by a gang and lured to an alley where he was shot dead earlier this week in what police on Thursday called a new low in Chicago's gang violence. * Initially, police had believed that the fourth grader, Tyshawn Lee, was killed in crossfire on Monday on the city's South Side.
* At a news conference in the alley where the boy was killed, Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said Lee's father was involved in a gang and that the death was linked to rivalry with another group. McCarthy said the father was not cooperating with police." -- Hey, "Black Lives Matter".. if black lives matter, why isn't "Black Lives Matter" supporting police efforts.. better yet, why isn't "Black Lives Matter" organizing neighborhood patrols and watches in Chicago?
---
Note: According to this link http://heyjackass.com/ a person in Chicago has been shot very 2 hours and 51 minute this year.. so far.. that's 8-plus people a day... every day.. no time off for Sundays or holidays..

Online story: "Facing criminal charges, relieved of her law license and threatened with removal by the Legislature, Pennsylvania's attorney general seems to have decided that if she has to go, she's going to take others down with her. * Since all three branches of state government began moving against her over the past year, Kathleen Kane has released hundreds of sexually explicit or otherwise crude emails that had been sent or received by current or former public officials on their government accounts. * The tangled scandal has led to the downfall of a state environmental secretary and shamed a state police commissioner, a Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice and several former top officials in the attorney general's office. Another high-court justice resigned after newspapers disclosed his involvement." -- Hmmm.. I think Sen Trey Gowdy has just found the right investigator for G.I. Jillary's e-mail investigation...
---
Online headline: "A mom's excessive Pepsi habit contributed to her death, says pathologist" -- I knew it!
---
From the "I didn't need to know this, but what I want to know wasn't answered" department - Online headline: "Here's the reason dogs tilt their heads when we speak" -- OK.. we've all witnessed the cute head tilt by our dogs.. but what I want to know is HOW MUCH IN TAX DOLLARS went into this "research"?
---
Online headline: "Top city that's threatened by climate change" -- Ooooops, my bad.. thought this was an analytical piece about post-2016 election time in Washington.
---
You know.. with both the DNC and the RNC trying their best to get Trump out of the picture for 2016, it's becoming obvious that Trump is what America needs...
---
Online headline: "Obama topped by Putin, Merkel for world's most powerful person" -- Hmmm.. or as William Bendix, as Chester A. Riley in "The Life of Riley" would oft say, "What a revolting development this is.". Trump is right!
---
L-E headline/story: "In an effort to house the homeless, city takes control of RiverWalk pavilion * (Mayor)Tomlinson said as the process plays out, the pavilion, which is plainly visible from the Chattahoochee whitewater course, could become a more stable place along the RiverWalk." -- Hmmm At least the L-E printed the real reason... now, what's Mayor ObamaLYINGson going to do about the other "eyesore" on the RiverWalk.. those awful GA Power towers with their barbaric anti-climbing deterrent additions?
---
You know.. why is the Homeless Resource Network called that? Wouldn't something like Hopeful or Helpful Resource Network be more compassionate and elevating?
---
Have you seen the Anti-Trump Democrat PAC ad featuring elementary school aged Latino kids cussing and flashing "the finger" at Trump? Where did the kids learn those words and hand gestures...Common CRAP at school or from a Democrat voter registration rally?
---
How can the White House/DOJ allow states to legalize the use of an illegal substances, yet hammer the states that are enacting stronger Photo-ID laws, and fighting the states' rights to determine marriage laws and who can use men's and women's bathrooms?
---
Was looking ahead to next week's TV football schedule to see when the GA-AUBURN game would be broadcast, and I saw those dreaded "TBD" initials.. First I thought about the time being up in the air..but after a moment, another thought hit me..with both teams floundering, do you suppose it's still "To Be Determined" as to whether it will be broadcast on TV at all..
---
L-E headline: "Armed robbers wearing gloves rob Little Joe's Package Store"
-- Good grief.. where's G. I. Jillary when she's actually needed..."what
difference does it make" whether the robbers wore gloves!
---
L-E headline: "Woman dies in logging truck collision" -- With sympathy for
the families of the woman killed and the truck driver, this could be a future
headline for the scheduled "roundabout" on River Road..
---'
I think the Democrat front=runners need to disclose their preferences for
their VP choice.. it looks like if either Bernie or G. I. Jillary get elected,
their health may put the VP in play to finish their terms..
---
Random thought: Have you noticed that mainscream media refers to Bernie and
Hillary by their first names, and refer to the Republicans by their last names.
Think about that.. It's sorta like the mainscream media looks at Mr Bernie and
Ms Hillary as their daycare keepers. That's not a good presidential presence to
give to the rest of the world.

L-E's " Thought for Today": “The illiterate of the future will not be the
person who cannot read. It will be the person who does not know how to learn.” —
Alvin Toffler, American writer-futurist (1928- )." -- Wow! There's more method
than we thought in the failure of our public education system.. Democrat
politicians don't want us to read bills or school curriculums they
propose...
---
From the "Today in history" feature of the L-E: " In 1860, former Illinois
congressman Abraham Lincoln defeated three other candidates for the presidency:
John Breckinridge, John Bell and Stephen Douglas." -- Hey.. John C .
Breckinridge was an ancestor of mine.. and FTR, Joshua Fry Speed, another
ancestor of mine, was Lincoln personal confidant.
---
L-E's "Quotable": “Interpretation is the revenge of the intellectual
upon art.” - Susan Sontag American author (1933-2004)" -- And Clintons
redefining self-evident words of the English language is revenge on
intelligentsia.
---
L-E editorial opinion: " Some Congress members and staffers recently
made a trip to Azerbaijan. Taxpayers didn’t foot the bill, which on the surface
most of us might consider a good thing. But according to the Office of
Congressional Ethics, an independent oversight agency, the details of exactly
who did pay for the trip are still murky — which, in a country that supposedly
considers transparency in government a core value, is decidedly not a good
thing." -- Hmmm.. and I agree with the L-E... now, where is the L-E's concern
over the funding of the Clinton Foundation when G.I. Jillary was the Secretary
of State and now front runner of the Democrats for president?
L-E commentary headline: "We’re losing the war on drugs" -- No we're not..
what we've lost is mainscream media supporting good morals and tough love for
offenders...
---
L-E pictorial: "Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson stopped by St. Anne-Pacelli
Catholic School to read to 1- and 2-year-old students this week
Hey Mayor ObamaLYINGson,, aren't hey too young to vote and be disillusioned
about Democrats and their promises...
