Online "headlie"/"story": "Diabetes experts tell G20 to tax sugar to save lives and money * Diabetes experts, the International Diabetes Federation,  called on world leaders on Thursday to use sugar taxes to fight obesity, arguing such a move would save lives and slash healthcare budgets." -- What ABSOLUTE BS! This falls into the category of "tobacco taxes" for health use. just another oxymoron.... All it will do is put more tax dollars in the hands of government to be used on legislative whims while it will raise the product costs to consumers which will give them less money to spend on other needs which then puts more demand on government welfare programs!

---
Note: The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is a worldwide alliance of over 230 national diabetes associations in more than 160 countries. First, why are there 70 more IDF "national associations" than there are "nations"? Secondly, what  I want to know is why does the International Diabetes Federation think that sugar isn't already taxed, and just request governments use the existing tax in the manner the International Diabetes Federation is suggesting?

---
Have you ever noticed.. whether locally, nationally, or.. now internationally, that the people most interested in raising our taxes are politicians and the people who have figured out how they will benefit directly from it?
Vote "NO" if our politicians and their supporters get the ballot referendum to end our local property tax freeze.

Online headline: "Bob Dole endorses Jeb Bush" -- Good grief.. one Clinton "defeat" endorsing another Clinton "defeat"..Jeb should have gotten Dole to endorse Trump if he wanted to catch up..

---
Online headline: "An 8-year-old boy is being charged with beating a 1-year-old girl to death while they were left home alone as their mothers went to a nightclub, Alabama police said Tuesday." -- Hey, Al Sharlatan.. hey, "Black Lives Matter"...where are you? I guess the 1 -year-old's life didn't "matter" since it isn't a way you can "matter".

---
From the" this is the only time I'll mention this candidacy announcement" department - Online headline "'Blue Collar' comedian Ron White announces he's running for president" -- Hmmm.. guess he'll have to runas a Republican... he's smart enough to know he can't run as a Democrat since "You Can't Fix STUPID!".  Also, experience tells us Ron White will not be invited to address the teaching staff at Columbus (GA) High School.

---
Online headline: "Target under fire for selling 'Obsessive Christmas Disorder' sweater in stores" -- Hmmm, and I bet the other choices was "This Is My Gay Apparel" or "Crappy Holidays".

---
Online headline: "Moderator's pin steals spotlight at Republican debate" -- The Republicans held a debate Tuesday night.. by yesterday, mainscream media was focused more on Maria Bartiromo's "broach" that it was on the issues.

---
The RNC should watch CNN and MSNBC closely.. both mainstream media outlets bash Trump and Cruz and have become more tolerable to Jeb Bush.. in my book it's the "enemies" of CNN and MSNBC that need to be in charge of the White House branch of government.

---
From the "it could only be a California thing" department: Online headline/story: "Man's body found in fridge in South LA apartment: LAPD * There were no signs of forced entry or of a struggle in the home, from which a man had recently been evicted,  *  The man who lived in the home had not been identified, nor had the victim. It was not clear if or how they were linked -- or if they were the same person. * The body was discovered by workers who clear out homes where the residents have been evicted." -- "or if they were the same person"?  Let's parse this a bit.. to solve the dilemma, I guess we are to suppose that the victim stuffed himself in the refrigerator after committing suicide... obviously the victim was... and still will be.. a vote for Governor Moonbeam Brown.

HuffPOOPOO headline: "Historic Election Divides Hawaiians On America's Place In The Aloha State
One faction is fighting to reinstate the Hawaiian kingdom and part ways with the U.S. entirely." -- Hmmm... thoughts are running rampant! The top four being": 1 - we can go back to 7 rows of 7 stars on our flag, 2 - we'd be able to drive to all our 49 states again, 3 - we would eliminate 4 Democrats from Congress and the Electoral College, and 4 - we could expunge the 44th president from our history. Another minor plus would be to finally be able to deport Auntie Zeituni.

During the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier wreath-laying televised ceremony, there was a man in a suit, left of Obamageddon, inside the roped-off barriers at the ceremony yesterday who did not salute during the National Anthem. He should be identified and vilified.

---
Online headline: "Georgia lawmakers say casinos could save the HOPE scholarship. Is the fix already in? -- Good grief.. making sure only students who are actually 3.0 students get college scholarship money alone would save (and give credibility to) the GA Lottery.. that and dropping all other "drains" on the funds..

---
Online story: "On a recent Tuesday at the City College of New York in Manhattan, a handful of students, activists and professors sat in a small circle casually planning a revolution. The group's conversation flowed easily from the mundane -- how many fliers each could hand out in 15 minutes -- to their lofty goals: The cancellation of all student debt, free tuition at public colleges and universities, and getting campus workers a minimum wage of $15 an hour." -- Hmmm ... obviously... very obviously, none of the students, activists or professors needed to take Econ 101 versus Marxism 101.

---
Online story: " A U.S. District Judge on Tuesday dismissed one fair housing claim but allowed another to continue in a case of former Gainesville residents allegedly facing racial slurs from a neighbor.
 * Gregory and Sophia Bonds filed a lawsuit in Hall County Aug. 13 claiming their neighbor, Roy Hubert Turner Jr., threatened and harassed them. Turner formerly worked for the Gainesville Solid Waste Department and allegedly used the “n-word” repeatedly and threatened the family with a firearm and baseball bat, according to the lawsuit. * Turner previously declined to comment to The Times. * Sophia Bonds works in customer service for The Times. * The Bonds’ lawsuit claimed the city of Gainesville failed to address the situation and made claims under the Georgia Fair Housing Act and federal Fair Housing Act." -- Good grief.. what does the City of Gainesville have to do with resolving a neighbor conflict other than making sure the police protect both parties from being assaulted physically? And even then, the police cannot act until a crime is committed...

---
Online story: "Roughly 9,000 California companies moved their headquarters or diverted projects to out-of-state locations in the last seven years, and both metro Atlanta and Georgia have been among the biggest beneficiaries of the Golden State’s “hostile” business environment. * Companies continue to leave California because of rising costs and concerns over the state’s “hostile” business environment, according to the study," -- Will someone pass this on to Mayor ObamaLYINGson... it applies to residences moving to other counties over rising taxes as well.

---
Online headline: "Study aims to find ways to improve Athens Transit service" -- Hmmm ,, wanna bet that none of the suggested improvements will include making it profitable and self-sustaining..

---
Online headline: "Break It Down: NPR Reporters Fact Check The Republican Debate" -- Good grief.. what is this ..tryouts to be a moderator for the next MSNBC Republican debate?

---
L-E "healie"/"story" : "Claflin School, the abandoned first public school for black children in Columbus and the historic site a grassroots organization is trying to revive, is among the state's 10 Places in Peril. * Claflin School, the abandoned first public school for black children in Columbus and the historic site a grassroots organization is trying to revive, is among the state's 10 Places in Peril." --  Good grief.. how many more times is the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer going to perpetuate this well-known lie! A marker designating the 1st public school for black children stands on the site of the 1st public school for black on First Avenue between 12th and 13th Streets.

Additionally, all the other 9 sites would also be better served if people actually interested .. dedicated..in preservation of the site would raise the money privately.. his is not a government issue.

---
L-E headline: "COLUMBUS COUNCIL * Water Works proposes raising residential bills to fund projects" -- Hmmm.. remember the 1993 Water Works bond issue that was to completely repair the "at places" 100-year-old sewer system pipes? Remember the Water Works saying it had done so? Remember the plethora of sinkholes and cave-ins since then? Let the real estate developers pay for the extension projects! Especially the ones on the Water Board.

---
L-E editorial headline: "Fund balance level is a fiscal red flag for city" -- What did the L-E expect..the Mayor's last several budgets have dipped into the fund balance because revenue streams weren't enough for her whims.. and the L-E.. didn't say nothing...

---

L-E headline: "Columbus executive elected chairman of University System of Georgia Board of Regents" -- YES! Maybe now the rest of the MCSB will get inline with the improvements that Thomas and Myers are trying to invoke!
