To my ancestors and all the other veterans that have fought to free and defend America from tyranny...I salute you...
---
There are a number of restaurants that will serve free meals to our active soldiers and veterans today.. I will probably avoid them all....BUT, there are 364 other days those restaurants will be on the top of my list. Of course, I will withhold any patronage to Starbucks on a lot of other issues.

Think about this.. these scientists who conjecture up past life on Mars.. hey, guys, if there was life on Mars today, it would be too hot here for life as we know it and you science guys wouldn't even exist to be talking about it...

Online headineSenate easily passes sweeping defense policy bill * The Senate passed a bill Tuesday that contains provisions that could make it more difficult for President Obama to close Guantanamo Bay." -- With only 3 Senators voting "Nay", this will make it more difficult for the DOJ to ignore or defend Obamageddon's abuse of office should he sign the bill then ignore it with an executive order.
---
From the "suspicions confirmed" department: "Crayola Now Has Coloring Books for Adults" -- Hmmm... Common CRAP has bitten our children on their butts...
---
Bloomingd(_*_)le's has run an ad that shows a man ogling a woman nad has the caption, "Spike Your Best Friend’s Egg Nog When They’re Not Looking.".. Good grief .. it's OK to promote "date rape" but ignore Christmas.. Oh, Bloomingd(_*_)le's has apologized.. for not being able to pull the ad because it is "in a print catalog, making it impossible to pull."... Oh, Bloomingd(_*)le's needs a proof reader for grammar (mismatching tenses - singular your/plural they're) as well as for propriety. Oh.. no mention of anyone getting fired for this, either.

Online headline/story: "Amy Schumer discusses Hillary Clinton, gun control at Glamour's Women of the Year Awards * Amy Schumer didn't hold back at last night's Glamour Women of the Year Awards, saying"If you've been convicted of domestic violence or you're severely mentally ill, I don't think you should be able to get a gun." -- Well, well, well,,, liberals being hoisted by their own petards.. they wanted individual privacy of their home and medical lives, but complain because they got it..
---
Online headline: "U.S. sues to block United Airlines from Newark expansion" -- Who gave the DOJ authority to sue on an issue that's best left to the ICC/FAA? And it's not that Michelle will ever fly in there for a vacation or a shopping trip.

From the "Who me...biased, what bias" department - Online story:A person of interest has been taken into custody in the case of a Texas state judge who was shot in front of her home in an upscale Austin neighborhood last week, police in the state capital said on Tuesday. * The suspect, who has not been identified, was arrested in Houston on unrelated charges, Austin police said without providing a possible motive or other details in the shooting of District Judge Julie Kocurek, 51.'' Wanna bet whether the shooter was white or a Republican?
---
Same story above from reputable news service: "A man being questioned by police in connection with the shooting of a Texas judge is being held on a separate murder charge in Houston, Austin police said on Tuesday. * Chimene Onyeri, 28, has been charged with felony murder in the shooting death of Jacobi Demon Alexander last May, according to documents from the office of the district attorney for Harris County." -- Wanna bet on citizenship status?
---
One of my daughters has learned a lesson on the "good intentions" of liberalism.. in her teen years, she would buy "Toms" shoes because "Toms" gave a pair to someone in a foreign country who didn't have any shoes..She recently bought a pair of "Toms" for her 3-year-old daughter..and even though her daughter has numerous pairs of shoes to change daily, these "Tom's" have already become tattered. can you imagine how tattered the shoes given to the other person who has no others to wear must look like in two weeks?
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Joe's Crab Shack Becomes First Major Chain To Drop Tipping" -- Hmmm... wanna bet that the most productive wait and bar staff move to other good restaurants within 2 months?
---
FTR: It's now11 days past the extended deadline for the Whittlesey Road widening project completion date. It's also Veterans Day.. wonder if Veterans driving on the Whittlesey expansion project will be looking for "IEDs" hidden in the construction debris?
---
Online story: "Deep differences among the candidates over everything from immigration to the use of military force were exposed at Tuesday’s Republican primary debate, where front-runners Donald Trump and Ben Carson often had to cede the spotlight to a full stage of spirited competitors. * Even Jeb Bush, who has struggled for airtime during past face-offs, was able to elbow his way into the fray, taking shots at President Obama’s economic record and Trump’s immigration plan. * “They’re doing high fives in the Clinton campaign right now when they hear this,” Bush said, of Trump’s call to deport millions." -- Good grief.. can't the establishment.. professional politicians... Republicans understand that even they have to agree with the newcomers on a common message so that whomever is selected to carry this message against G.I. Jillary will have the confidence of being supported to carry the conservative side into a battle with liberalism? It doesn't matter who the Democrats put on the ballot,, their voters want all the free stuff they are lied to about, so Conservative voters need the same confidence that the Republican candidate twill be in opposition of the liberals  he/she will face.

Online headline: "Clinton says she would not support war declaration against ISIS" -- Oh well, now we'll just have to wait to hear how hubby Bill defines "Is-Is"..
--
Now that a precedent has been set, I think every college football squad should stage a walkout until any college president who discriminates against Christian ideals is fired., or until Obamageddon resigns..
---
L-E story: "The Columbus Consolidated Government’s fund balance has fallen below the 60-day level that bond-rating firms consider a threshold for bestowing top ratings to cities. The reserves also are critical for cash flow when the city’s revenue stream is low, officials say." -- Hmmm.. wonder who stuck a pin in the L-E's rear end and woke'm up? Mayor ObamaLYINGson's wasteful ways are coming to the surface.. how about selling off the Natatorium, the Bike Trails, Golden Park, and Bull Creek and Oxbow Meadows golf courses... Just eliminating the cash flow deficits would be a plus for the city coffers. but by selling theses off to private sources would benefit all citizens whether they use those facilities or not..
---
L-E headline: "100 inmates earn GED certificate through Muscogee County Jail program" -- I know better as it's one of the programs that actually works, but what's going to happen when some lawyer files a class-action suit demanding that GED candidates not having to take a graduation yest like other high school graduates?
---
From the L-E's "Today in history" feature: " In 1984, the Rev. Martin Luther King Sr. — father of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. — died in Atlanta at age 84." -- While it really doesn't matter in everyday life, legally it does matter in events of a legal nature.. Most people seem unaware that the Martin Luther King, Sr or Junior, were not born with this name. King, Sr, and King, Jr's official names were "Michael Luther King"...Jr. changed his to emphasize a connection with Martin Luther,  the 15th/16th Century protester against the Roman doctrines. King, Sr v=changed his name to match the name King, Jr took on..
---

L-E editorial headline/commentary: "Veterans Day: A salute to those who defend us all * Since this nation was born, Americans have defended our freedom with their lives, in hundreds of battles around the world and close to home. Here, in alphabetical order, are just some of them:" -- Interesting... interesting in the fact that the L-E doesn't consider an assault on our property taxes by the Mayor is worthy of commending those who fight it.
