Weekend Update:

Political correctness has reached a new low.. I saw an ad for an iPad case that was described as "veggan leather".. "veggan".. not faux, not synthetic, not even leather-look... but "veggan".  It must look like what I think tofu tastes like...
---
FTR: It's now 30 days... one month...  past the extended deadline for the Whittlesey Road widening project completion date. Where is the GA DOT on this? Where is the Columbus L-E on this? Anybody seen Sam?
It's about time we voters got some input... the appointed GA DOT board obviously demands no discipline of its contractors.. just look at the extended mess of the Moon Road project as well
---
We joke about government efficiency..; well, actually we "cry" about the inefficiency, and this ad run in the Columbus L-E just epitomizes such. 10 days ago, such an ad ran that is obviously a complete waste of tax dollars and people-in-need's time.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like some folks got their wish... so long Mark Richt..Unfortunately, so long a program of molding youn men to be morally ready to join society... we can be pretty much assured that the next coach will want to win on the field at all costs. Hey, you Bama folks.. don't be so smug.. y'all canned Bill Curry...

Online headline: "Obama lashes out after Planned Parenthood shooting: 'This is not normal * We can’t let it become normal'' -- "not normal"?  Does Obamageddon have a spine or is he handicapped by an emotion filter? Or is it that he just thinks "normal", for an abortion clinic,... is just lots of dead babies?

---
Online story: "A study published Friday from researchers in Italy and the U.K. found a bigger effect on the corpus callosum in people who smoked high-potency cannabis than people who smoked marijuana with lower levels of THC or those didn't smoke at all. * The corpus callosum is that thick band of nerves in the center that connects the left half of the brain with the right." -- Hmmm ... so much for the theory that marijuana is safer than alcohol, when, in reality, it is its own introductory to heavier drugs..

---
Online story: "Officials have discovered the sixth mass grave in or near the town of Sinjar, Iraq, after Turkish forces recaptured the city from the Islamic State earlier this month. * The grave was also rigged with a bomb and is believed to hold the remains of more than 120 people. *  The attacks were targeted toward the Yazidi minority that makes up most of the town's inhabitants. The Islamic state considers the Yazidi's faith heretical.  *  A United Nations panel concluded in March of 2015 that the Islamic State "may have committed" genocide against the Yazidis." --  "may have committed" genocide against the Yazidis"? .. Hmmm.. why don't we ask Obamageddon and see if this simply qualifies as "not normal"?

---
You know.. the Syrian "refugees" cannot be considered "refugees". "Refugees" are people seeking temporary asylum with hope to return to their homes.. none of theses Syrians will .. no.. can ever go back... their lives would be over for having just been accepted in America.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Jesse Jackson Joins Calls For Resignations After Laquan McDonald Shooting" -- "calls for resignations"? Hmmm..why doesn't he "call" for something worthwhile.. like calling for a massive  sweep of the streets for Chicago gang members so children can walk around safely?

---
Jonathan Gruber extra stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " ISIS grew out of al-Qaida under Bush. The blood is on all of the Bushaholics." -- LIke Reagan oft said..'liberals just know so much that isn't so".. Truth is that al Qaeda reared its head in 1979 when Carter was in the White House.

---
Words... especially when you use them to redefine what they use to mean,  can be dangerous.. well, at least counterproductive at times... Saw a newspaper ad from a car place highlighting a "client advisor".. "client advisor"?  I think of a "client advisor" as being someone who has ideas that will make me money or protect my family.. does a car salesperson want to "advise" me on a depreciating "investment" , or "sell" me a car?

---
You know, If libs do not want to  Muslims have to register, then libs should find a workable way for Muslims to demonstrate their peacefulness, and denounce Muhammad,  Sharia Law, and ISIS.
---
Will someone get a sock and stuff it in Geraldo? Up until the jihadist attack in Paris when Geraldo discovered his daughter was in immediate peril, Geraldo was pretty ambivalent about ISIS.. Now he's in Paris complaining about Climate Change protesters giving the Paris policemen a hard time.. Next month, he'll be back to being the Geraldo who reacts to the changes in wind directions..

---
After a home drubbing by rival FSU... it looks like the Florida vs Bama SEC Championship game will be a yawner.. how about a rematch between Ole Miss and Bama?

---
Online "story": "U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton plans to make job creation the focus of her campaign over the next month, beginning with a $275 billion infrastructure spending plan that will be released this week. * Clinton's plan to increase the federal government's spending on infrastructure by $275 billion over the next five years will be fully paid for by changing how businesses are taxed, a campaign aide said, without providing any details." -- Good grief.. another government working welfare scam.. first, $275 Billion over 5 years is "but" $55 Billion per year, and wouldn't make a ripple in the economy even if it was new private industry jobs, but that's not the real threat.. she wants to complicate business taxes even more. Thirdly, like all Democrat plans, hes has a mainscream headline "without providing any details"..in other words.. "trust her". Yeah, right.

---
I got a good idea.. let's get McCain and Graham to run together as a third party offering.. If they get any votes, it'll be from Democrats who don't want to vote for G.I. Jillary.

---
I look at the quantity of TV ads pleading their case for donations, and I can only think of smaller dedicated charitable groups that could be fully funded simply with the amount of money that these campaign cost. Guess where my money is going?

---
Ford is not winning new friends..now a dealer is advertising lower prices than the "Ford Friends and Family" prices promotion.

---
You know, if the RNC is trying to pass itself off the GOP as an "inclusive" party, it needs to embrace Trump as a person and candidate.

---
Online headline: "Messy legal process could challenge Trump's mass deportation plan" -- Good grief.. is mainscream media just stupid.. or just stupid... I imagine Trump has a pen similar to Obamageddon's, and with Executive Orders and a see/hear/do nothing Congress.. it's possible..

---
A frustrated.. and deservedly so.. underinformed voter's L-E "soundoff": " We hear all the talk of cutting Medicare and Social Security. What about Medicaid and welfare?" -- Valid point ..but just too far removed to be workable.. welfare and Medicaid programs have run up the cost of medical services so much, that we cannot backtrack to reasonable healthcare costs.
---
L-E headline: "CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC * Pope brings peace message to divided capital" -- What's newsworthy about this? Now, when Poop Pat brings a message of actual peace, then let's celebrate.
---
Soapbox Moment: In retrospect.. When the U of Missouri president resigned following a protesters demand, it was the culmination of the liberals failures of running an educational institution that actually prepares students to be capable on their own life journey.
---
Guest L-E commentary headline/content: "Commentary: Los Angeles Times  * Prescription for tax dodge
 *   You’ve got to hand it to pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc.: It’s managing to make Americans resent drug companies even more than they already did. *  The maker of Viagra and Lipitor is the latest to announce a merger that’s designed at least in part to escape high U.S. corporate tax rates." -- Pfizer is not the enemy here.. Congressional Tax Laws have created these variables, and Pfizer is just using them for the benefit of its shareholders and the American public.. Staying here basically cost investors money to reinvest in other jobs, and if Pfizer kept the status quo, Allergan's products would have price increases to compensate for the higher American taxes. Liberals just know so much that isn't so.

HuffPOOPOO headline.story: "2015 Will Be Remembered As A Historic Year For Women In Baseball
They broke MLB barriers for female coaches, players and announcers. *  This fall, as Becky Hammon prepared for her second season as an assistant coach with the NBA's San Antonio Spurs and the Arizona Cardinals made Jen Welter the first woman to coach for an NFL team, it seemed like Major League Baseball had fallen behind its two largest competitors in welcoming women to the coaching ranks." -- Excuse me, but how, exactly , has this actually made the NBA, the NFL, and MLB... better?
