From the "mainscream media just threw Br'er Trump into the briar patch" department - Online headline/story: "All major networks now refuse to air Trump's 'fake news' advertisement * Donald Trump's 2020 presidential campaign says all three major networks have joined CNN in refusing to air an ad that attacks them. *  CNN was the first to reject the 30-second spot, which included the words "fake news" in bold, red font over photos of news anchors, including CNN's Wolf Blitzer, MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell and Rachel Maddow, ABC's George Stephanopoulos and CBS's Scott Pelley *  In statement on Tuesday, CNN said it had no problem airing the ad if the network agrees to remove the offending graphic. "CNN requested that the advertiser remove the false graphic that the mainstream media is 'fake news,'" the cable channel said. "The mainstream media is not fake news, and therefore the ad is false and per policy will be accepted only if that graphic is deleted." -- " the ad is false and per policy will be accepted only if that graphic is deleted"? Well, well, well,... mainscream media did leave itself a smidge of "wiggle room" by specifying "graphic", but.. BUT what mainscream media has done is "CENSOR A POLITICAL AD", which could be, IMO, challenged in the Supreme Court. On the other hand, by throwing Trump into "the briar patch", mainscream media has raised its standard for the truthfulness of political ads run by PACs backed by Soros.. While mainscream media may try to claim that "lies" spoken are not "graphics", lies spoken are graphic pictures being painted by liars. a solid

From the "speaking of Soros" department - Online story: "A $10 billion suit against George Soros accuses the self-styled humanitarian of meddling in the politics of a poor African country in order to settle his own scores, a charge the billionaire’s critics say reflects his longtime modus operandi.
The 86-year-old investor, who controls a web of international nonprofits in addition to his vast financial empire, used his sway with the government of Guinea to freeze Israeli company BSG Resources out of the West African nation’s lucrative iron ore mining contracts, according to the suit filed last month in New York Federal Court by BSG Resources. * "Soros was motivated solely by malice, as there was no economic interest he had in Guinea," BSGR alleges in court papers. -- "used his sway with the government of Guinea to freeze Israeli company BSG Resources out of the West African nation’s lucrative iron ore mining contracts"? Sounds pretty much he's just proved that he represents anti-Semitism to the hilt.. makes you wonder why he associates with the US Democratic Party so closely.. you also have to wonder why America's overall Jewish population in America supports the Democratic Party..

From the "there's still hope in California" department -- Heard a blurb a couple of days ago that there is going to be a concerted effort to unseat Nancy Pelosi in her re-election in the 2018 Democratic Party primaries.

Hey...can you believe..not just the number, but the vileness and futility of liberals trying to respond to humor from Trump? The reason is that liberals lose their ability to just laugh at their own faux pas/verbal fumbles that they go ballistic over anything said in humor from others.

---
Unemployment down to lowest in 11 years, 200+ thousand new jobs in last month, and more importantly, hourly wages up over 2%.. it's funny that liberal comics (well this is really an oxymoron) cannot find either hate nor humor in these facts.

---
One fact you will not hear from mainscream media is that more Democrats voted against the "unread" OObamaCRAP bill sent back from the Senate than Republicans who voted against the new bill on Thursday.

How can any contractor or architect feel nailing boards into a perfectly good roof in order to add a fake gable/dormer to a public housing building will be an improvement in either building integrity or future maintenance issues. And this is exactly what is going on at the Wilson Homes "up-date".

Burlington Northern..owned by Warren Buffett.. another down quarter...runs nothing but freight as passenger service is not profitable..that's also confirmed by the history..the complete history of AMTRAK.. yet Mayor Tom-LYING-son says she could run a low cost ticket, high speed passenger rail service to Atlanta and make money..Who do you want to believe..Buffett or Tom-LYING-son?

Why are politicians able to say (PC for "LIE")  people who don't have insurance do not have access to healthcare? Hospitals and doctors are equipped, and willing, to take cash and give discounts for such.

I read about a number of churches and civic groups in Columbus that conduct reading assist programs for students. My church does so, too, as part of a missions program. I also wonder where state test results of MCSD students would be without these supplemental programs.

OK, I believe you, Marie Osmond, that lost 50 pounds on Nutrisystem..but that was years ago..what have you  done lately?

L-E headline/story: "City to test lane closures on 13th Street; could become permanent * The reduction in lanes along the viaduct that crosses an active Norfolk Southern rail yard and proceeds farther east to the intersection of 13th Avenue, where Kinetic Credit Union has its main office, will be part of a two-week test to determine if fewer lanes should be permanent." -- "two-week test" to determine if fewer lanes should be permanent"? It took more than two-weeks for my mailed in car tag renewal to get returned, and that was when the mailman was unfettered by lane congestion on 13th Street!

---
Instant repeat - L-E headline/story: "City to test lane closures on 13th Street; could become permanent * “What we’re trying to do is create an environment that brings life back to the street, creates a calmer and slower 13th Street with these temporary outside lane closures,” * It’s to demonstrate that businesses can flourish, and that cars, people, walkers and cyclists can coexist on this important connection between Uptown and Midtown.”" --  Hmmm...The 13th Street "relane" may become Mayor Tom-LYING-son's "waterloo". Libs want bicycle and pedestrian lanes while developers will want curbside parking. Speaking of lane changing snafus, what about 10th St and 12th Street? 10th Street has dangerous parallel parking with bike lanes between cars and the curbs so passengers swinging open their doors will endanger bicyclers. 12th Street is suppose to be marked the same but hasn't since the 10th Street markings were exposed as dangerous before 12th Street was actually marked as well.

Instant repeat - L-E headline/story: "City to test lane closures on 13th Street; could become permanent *
“MidTown has generated concepts for each of these sections, which could include bike lanes and on-street parking in order to reinvigorate the business area between 10th and 13th (avenues). Both of these concepts will be tested simultaneously with the use of barrels which will mimic a construction project, closing off the outside lanes. However, there will, of course, be no construction and pedestrians and bicycles are encouraged to utilize the areas behind the barrels for the duration of the test period.” -- Hmmm... Speaking of lane changing snafus, what about 10th St and 12th Street? 10th Street has dangerous parallel parking with bike lanes between cars and the curbs:  Passengers swinging open their doors will endanger bicyclers. 12th Street is suppose to be marked the same but hasn't since the 10th Street markings were exposed as dangerous before 12th Street was actually marked as well.

Instant repeat - L-E headline/story: "City to test lane closures on 13th Street; could become permanent *
Georgia Department of Transportation traffic counts show 19,100 vehicles a day in the area closest to 13th Street and 13th Avenue. Near 13th Street’s intersection with 5th Avenue, the count rises to 21,800 vehicles per day, then grows along 13th Street after passing Veterans Parkway and moving toward the bridge connecting Columbus and Phenix City." -- 19100 to 21,800 vehicles TO Vetrans Parkway then growing AFTER Veterans? Sounds like another "good intentioned" liberal utopian project earmarked for failure. Not too many years ago, I remember when the GA DOT wanted to blow through Lakebottom to Uptown with a multi-laned, median separated 5.lane thoroughfare to bring adequate traffic flow through midtown for emergency situations, and now the GA DOT feels narrowing the same route is good? With "thinking" like this, no wonder it took nearly 4 years to complete the widening of Whittlesey  between Whitesville and Veterans!

Online headline: "California considers taxing space travel" -- and you wonder why the governor's nickname 's "Moonbeam".. and has been for decades...

Can you imagine FCC response if Tonight Show Host Johnny Carson had just "mouthed" the words that (_*_) Colbert intentionally spewed on TV?

---
From the "suspicions confirmed" department - Online headline: "Portland to use sewage gas to shift away from diesel" -- We always suspected such, and now we have proof.. no one emits more BS than liberals!

Online story: "This week, Harvard University announced that its libraries will be doing away with their traditional 50 cent-per-day late fee on overdue books. * This week, Harvard University announced that its libraries will be doing away with their traditional 50 cent-per-day late fee on overdue books. * That bears repeating: Harvard University students, whom the school hails as the brightest young scholars our nation has to offer, simply cannot and should not have to deal with the stress of overdue book fees." --  You know.. we need to work on a Constitutional Amendment to the qualifications of a future federal court/Supreme Court judge.. and barring any more Harvard attendees should be number one on the list!

---
From the "and flip a dog a bone" department - Online headline:  "George and Amal Clooney donate $10,000 to dog rescue organization" -- Good grief.. for them, that's about like adding an eye-dropper full of Sweet 'n Low to a tanker truck of tea.

---
L-E headline: "CSU waiting for guidance on campus-carry law" -- Well, as a start, how about enforcing the law.. it's not a good example to enforce just the ones you like...

Uber-LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Make America calm my nerves. How come I have this feeling that Trump is leading America to disaster?" -- Emergency! Put down your Kool-Aid filled Yeti cup and Ledger-Enquire paper and come back to reality!

---
From the "absolute void of humility" department - L-E story: "The company run by the outspoken father of top NBA prospect Lonzo Ball has unveiled a signature shoe for the former UCLA star with an eye-popping price tag of $495 a pair. * LaVar Ball’s Big Baller Brand unveiled the ZO2 Prime on Thursday and is taking pre-orders on its website." -- Yeah.. I'm going to rush online and reserve a $500.00 pair of unmade sneakers designed by the father of a 19 year oldNBA prospect.....too boot, neither the son nor the shoe has had a professional workout..

From the "ludicrous outcome" department - L-E headline/story: "$110.5M awarded in lawsuit over baby powder  * A St. Louis jury has awarded a Virginia woman a record-setting $110.5 million in the latest lawsuit alleging that using Johnson & Johnson’s baby powder caused cancer. * The jury ruling Thursday for Lois Slemp, 62, of Wise, Va., comes after three previous St. Louis juries awarded a total of $197 million to plaintiffs who made similar claims. * Slemp, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012, blames her illness on her use of the company’s talcum-containing products for more than 40 years. Her cancer has spread to her liver. *  Those cases, including the previous highest award of $72 million, are all under appeal. * Johnson & Johnson, based in Brunswick, N.J., said in a statement that it would appeal and disputed the scientific evidence behind the plaintiffs’ allegations. The company also noted that a St. Louis jury found in its favor in March and that two cases in New Jersey were thrown out by a judge who said there wasn’t reliable evidence that talc leads to ovarian cancer." -- You know.. I'm just curious how.. and where Ms Slemp used Baby Powder for 40 years? Too boot, since J&J appeals to similar cases in New Jersey have been upheld, as to why the court system is even allowing new/continuing cases to be going on..
