HuffPOOPO headline/story: "17 mummies found at burial site in Egypt *  Egypt's antiquities ministry dated the findings to the Late Period of Ancient Egypt and the Greco-Roman period (332-395 A.D.) *  Egypt is hoping recent discoveries will brighten its image abroad and revive tourism, in the wake of the revolution of 2011." -- "brighten its image and revive tourism"?  Like right after the Coptic Christian Church was bombed on Palm Sunday and the 21 Christians who were beheaded in an ISIS video in 2015? Yeah.. I'm going to rush over there to see 17  1,700 year old munmmies. Now.. if Egypt had an exhibit of the mutilated bodies of the  ISIS leaders who ordered the bombings and beheadings.. game changer.

Did you hear that ABC has canceled the next season of "Last Man Standing"? Seems Tim Allen's show was a bit too conservative and honest to whomever was in charge of programming. It also means that my bride and I no longer have a single show on ABC, NBC, or CBS we deem as something we want to watch.. My guess is ABC's ratings will drop overall since ABC just severed its "relationship with all Trump supporters nationwide. Hey, Cable Companies, offer me a lower priced package that I don't have to pay for ABC, NBC, and CBS stations, and I'm yours!

On the "further downside", ABC just added seasons 9 & 10 for "Modern Family".. In perspective, I watched Last Man Standing either "live" on Friday nights or Sat/Sunday on Hulu depending on our social life. I can honestly say I've never watched a complete episode of "Modern Family" as the inaness of the
"trailers" were discouragement enough for me not to waste my time.. Hey, Hellary,  maybe you should sue ABC for showing Modern Family on Tuesday nights..looks like too many of your voters decided to stay home and watch "Modern Family": rather than wait in line to vote...

From the "in spite of trying, mainscream media just cannot blame this on Trump" department - Microsoft is blaming "governments" for not disclosing more software vulnerabilities for causing  the spreading of a new "ransomware" (virus) that "freezes up computers and making governments pay "ransoms" to regain access to the information. It's caused when governments aren't keeping tabs on security breeches on older equipment. Let's see, in the US's situation, I imagine most.. maybe ALL of the current government computers/software was bought during Obama's administration and still manned by Obama era hirees..

HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "The safest countries in the world * For safety, Finland was followed by the United Arab Emirates in second place and Iceland in 3rd. * Popular tourist destinations such as the UK ranked 78th, while the U.S. was 84th." -- Hmmm.. you know, I bet that if we "build the southern border wall"..then build containment walls around the states California and New York, and the cities of , St. Louis, New Orleans, Chicago, so protected criminals could not get into the rest of our country, the rest America would become the safest country in the world.. by far!

---
Online headline: "At least 2 dead as Greek passenger train derails" -- Hmmm.. make sure someone passes this along to Columbus Mayor Tom-LYING-son.. it predicts the "high speed derailing" of her political aspirations..

Online story: "McDonald's is forking up a ton of cash to help franchisees fund costly restaurant upgrades in an unprecedented move to win back lost customers. * Specifically, McDonald's is promising to pay 55% of the costs associated with its so-called "Experience of the Future" initiative, which includes installing self-order kiosks, adding new dessert counters, and installing table-locator technology that employees use to deliver customers' food * McDonald's funding commitment is a first of its kind. The company typically requires franchisees to front the cost of upgrades — whether that's new equipment or total restaurant renovations." --  You know, this is another futile move that will still leave the McDonald's "wheels spinning" and garner no traction.. McDonald's has spent so much time, energy, and money on moving away from the concept that won them leadership decades ago.. instead of trying to win over Starbucks customers, MCDonald's should be appealing to children in cars who will have tantrums if their parents ride by a McDonald's without turning in.. like in the "good ole days".

Our Founding Fathers were smart.. they put Congress together with the people electing the House of Representatives, and each state's legislators appointing its Senators.. That way, electors from local state districts had the opportunity to name senior statesmen as Senators which may not have statewide recognition to win an election. That changed in 1913 with the 17th Amendment going into effect. What a mistake.. it's why we have the seemingly eternal presence of Schumer, Graham, McCain, Bernie. and any Senator from California.

Online "headLIE": "Clapper: Government 'under assault' by Trump after Comey firing" -- WRONG! Government INEPTNESS, FRAUD, and GREED are under assault by Trump.. that's why Trump, and the American taxpayers/patriots  WON!

---
From the "let's make it another 3-ring circus" department - Online headline: "Ousted FBI director James Comey is willing to testify -- but only in public" -- Haven't we discussed this enough... that public testimony of classified/top secret matters is a waste of taxpayer money... that the only things that will be said "under oath and on the record" about "matters that matter" is that the witness CANNOT answer those questions in public..

---
HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "In law school, Obama co-wrote a paper referring to Trump as the American dream * When Barack Obama was in Harvard Law School, he once alluded to businessman Donald Trump as representing the American Dream, but the tone wasn't entirely positive  *  the reference was in a paper the then-29-year-old had co-written with Robert Fisher titled, "Race and Rights Rhetoric." * "The paper argued that black Americans should 'shift away from rights rhetoric and towards the language of opportunity.' The way they saw it, 'Precisely because America is a racist society...we cannot realistically expect white America to make special concessions towards blacks over the long haul." --  "we  cannot realistically expect white America to make special concessions towards blacks"? You know, to entertain such, must less EXPECT such is... basically ... in a word... racist!

On Saturday, Chick fil A became dead to me... 30+ people were coming to our house for lunch to celebrate the arduous and determined journey of my middle daughter's college graduation Saturday morning.. Earlier in the week, orders were placed for a Saturday morning pick up for her favorite foods.. BBQ from Clearview, chicken salad from "Chicken Salad Chick", a cake from Pat-a-cake, sundry fruits/snack/chips, and of course, a large platter of chicken nuggets from Chick fil A.

On the day before, I went to Chick fil A on Bradley Park and ordered the centerpiece for her celebration.. Got great and attentive service from one of the assistant managers who took my order. He rang it up, I swiped my card, and he gave me the receipt showing  it was to be picked up at 11:45 Saturday morning. As my bride and I were attending the graduation ceremony, a friend of my youngest daughter was recruited to pick this up. At 12:15, my bride got a panicky call from this young lady.. saying that Chick fil A did not have it ready and that it hadn't been paid for.. I immediately went down to Chick fil A to straighten out the mess.. by then, the manager had located the transaction and discovered something in their system had wrongfully processed the order and the debit was not completed when processed.  It was not the same assistant as on Friday, but he set there holding firmly on his company policies justifying his position of not having the chicken platter ready on time. I thought to myself. this wasn't about a screw up on a single sandwich order, this was about screwing up a luncheon event, and in today's time of social media, he nor anyone else at Chick fil A had made an effort that morning to get in touch about their screw up. Now, I was still faced with the need of "chicken".. as I said earlier, 30+ people were coming to our house at 1:00, and it was 12:45.. I told the assistant I'd like to order .. he eagerly pounced on his machine like a robot to accommodate.. then it hit me.. this smug-smiling ASSistant had not once commiserated with my plight.. not once did he apologize.., especially knowing it was Chick fil A that had screwed up the order situation, nor  for the current turmoil Chick fil A had caused. I just said, "never mind".. I had the nearby Zaxby's on the phone as I crossed the parking lot to my car.. I explained I needed a large platter as quick as I could get one.. gave'em my debit card number, drove the 5 minutes there, and 10 minutes later drove home with our main meal course. Zaxby's saved our day!

Now there's a bit of background I didn't mention above.. this was not the first time Chick fil A had done this, but I had forgiven them, and moved on because of Truett Cathy's commitment to Christ.. I had even stood outside at a Chick fil A (when Chick fil A was under attack by mainscream media for a comment Dan Cathy had made concerning Christian and family values) for nearly a hour to buy a meal on a hot August 1st when a movement was made to show appreciation for Chick fil A's commitment to Christian values.  I imagine Truett Cathy was turning over in his grave Saturday morning.

Oh.. Chick fil A is lower on my "s*** list" than KaeperPRICK!

Atheists... what is their problem? If they refuse to believe in God, that's OK, they can change their minds later in life if they so choose, but.. they have no right.. for that matter. "need" to criticize our beliefs, nor our faith..

---
At Liberty University's commencement, Trump said that no one has accomplished anything significant without criticism.. with this as his motivation, Trump will undoubtedly accomplish more than any other president in history!

---
You know, Trump's commencement speech should be the standard for other commencement speeches. He focused on giving the graduates something to ponder, to digest, to carry with them as they foray into Real World 101. I say this after sitting through a local college commencement speech where the speaker spent most of  his time patting himself on the back.

---
Speaking of my daughter's graduation ceremony.. I'm sitting here at the CSU graduation ceremonies...maybe a bit too proud..waiting to see the look on my daughter's face as she completes an arduous and determined journey. There looks like there will be about 500 others do so also..You know, I bet the college administration is looking at the loss of about $1,000,000.00 in random, unaccountable fees that won't be continually paid by these graduates. (500 x $1,000 x 2 semesters annually)

Is the reason that the MCSD and MCSB does not mention the contractors involved in the custodial discussions be because one of such is owned by the Hugley family.. How about answering this, Madam Chair. Mrs Pat Hugley-Green...

---
L-E headline/story: "Nonprofit helps single mom fulfill dream of owning a home * they moved into a beautiful, four-bedroom home in the Cedar Creek Subdivision in Opelika, Ala. * And she says she could not have done it without the help of Neighbor-Works Columbus" -- Excuse me, but while needs, real needs,  are everywhere, why is NeighborWorks Columbus not focusing on the needs here in Columbus? To boot, Neighwork-Columbus is headed by a member of our School Board.. why does she not improve only Columbus homes so they will put more taxes in the school system?

---
Have you been keeping up with changes in GA's high school "spring games".. I have a serious question.. why are competing schools allowed to play another school rather than some sort of intra-squad scrimmage? It seems to me, the GHSAA is promoting a potentially disastrous situation..  under current 'rules' an unscrupulous coach (come on,, we all know the pressures of being a HS football coach) could have his team ignore the "safety rules" for a game, and inflict devastating injuries to the opposing QB in hopes that QB will not being playing against them next Fall. Hmmm, sounds like a movie or mini-series script.. hmmm.. sounds like real life when you consider how coaches have ordered players to cripple referees on the field...

---
L-E headline/story: "Clinton, Patterson co-writing a thriller * The former president and the best-selling novelist are collaborating on a thriller, “The President is Missing,” -- Hmmm. I imagine it takes place starting November 9, 2016 when Hellary dropped off the political map.

We need to go back to appointed school boards! One of the last years of such was in 1990 (elected school boards became "the law" in 1993 I believe) and the whole budget for 32,000 students was $54 Million (and the State of GA said $9,000,000 of that was paid to "UNNECESSARY" employees). Now our school budgets teeter up to and around $300 Million for 32,000 students and 20% more employees. In 1990, less than $1,700.00 was spent per child, now we spend more than $9,000.00 per child.. While some of the increases per child are due to inflation, most is due to waste, unfunded government mandates,  and inept management., and that will not change as long as politics is involved in creating a school board which should have "an oversight" duty, rather than a "rubber stamp" one.

---
L-E headline: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY * Alternative education, custodians, principal on school board agenda
* IN FEBRUARY, THE ADMINISTRATION PROPOSED TO CONSOLIDATE THE CONTRACTS MCSD HAS WITH JANITORIAL SERVICE COMPANIES INTO ONE CONTRACT FOR OUTSOURCED CUSTODIANS." --
There's only one question each board member needs to answer before voting on "Camelot": What will be the costs of either extending the contract or ending the contract after the 3 years it will be in effect if passed?

Also, Chairwoman Pat Hugley-Green needs to speak out whether her family's Custodial Service is currently under contract or in the mix to receive a contract with the school system?

You know, there was a time that businesses of School Board members could not bid on school contracts.. it was a good practice and needs to be the guide for current board members.

You know, there's one real difference between Trump and the Obamas..One Obama wanted to be president to radically transform it, and his spouse was never proud of America until her husband was elected, while Trump wants to Make America Great Again.

Random thought: "Did you know that 45 states have laws allowing underage people to legally consume alcoholic drinks? . There are 8 various "exceptions", and yes, GA allows some of the exceptions to laws> There is one particularly insane exception (in Connecticut, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, Ohio, Texas, Wisconsin, Wyoming) that allows underage people to drink in restaurants, bars and other venues that SELL alcohol (sports arenas etc)... all the underaged drinker needs is "parental approval".. wow, can you imagine the market for forged and "notarized" notes from "parents" that college and high school entrepreneurs will  capitalize on?  Just think.. there will be no need in those states for "fake Driver's Licenses".

---
L-E story: "Giant sidewalks connecting trails to downtown Columbus" -- Good grief! Mayor Tom-LYING-son wants 12' sidewalks for bicyclers when local and state law say bicyclers over 15 (maybe 12) cannot ride on sidewalks! In the meantime too many of our roads are so badly maintained it's not safe for cars or bicycles to ride on them!

You know.. Mike Owen must be in a state of shock.. mourning even.. after all his dedicated to ideals work. and now he finds out that the L-E feels that "Hasn't Ever Ben Wright" is a suitable replacement columnist.

From the "how come I could predict this from looking at the movie trailers, but Hollywood couldn't" department - L-E headline/story: "‘Arthur’ flops as ‘Guardians’ still rules box office * The first major box office flop of the summer movie season has arrived. * Studio estimates on Sunday say director Guy Ritchie’s “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” opened to a bleak $14.7 million from more than 3,700 locations against a costly $175 million production budget. * The gritty reimaging of the Excalibur myth starring Charlie Hunnam as Arthur debuted in third place behind box office leader “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and “Snatched” at No. 2. * “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” collected $63 million." -- Why does Hollywood feel patrons will be attracted to legend/myth movies that are "dark"? So "dark" that patrons will not leave the theater feeling entertained or "good" about the chances of the world improving because the "good guys" win .. and within the rules"..

L-E headline: "The world’s most interesting man? Putin plays piano" -- Well, Putin is even better at "playing" mainscream media and Democrats..
