From the "how can we falsely scare sane people about Climate Change without stating anything sane?" department - Online story: "California could be in major trouble because of climate change. In some cases, landlocked regions could eventually have beaches. * An updated government report says in one severe scenario, sea levels could rise by 10 feet over the next the century. * The culprit in the study? It says loosely regulated greenhouse gas emissions. Fossil fuels are causing ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica to melt at increasingly faster rates * The report says when ice melts in Antarctica, sea levels near California could rise more than the rest of the world." -- "sea levels near California could rise more than the rest of the world"?  You know with this kind of "feelings" (minus any kind of logic) I can understand liberals' insanity babbling about things.. I guess these liberals feel that Oregon and Washington State have "magic spells" that they can cast that will make the rising waters go straight by them and accumulate just in California..

This ought to wake us up, but don't be surprised to find out Columbus Regional Medical Group has SOLD COLUMBUS OUT over the weekend!

An Executive Committee met over the weekend and plan to make an announcement today about entering into (or seeking) a "strategic partnership" with a so-far unannounced  medical group that has no interest in Columbus, GA.. This is different from how/why St Francis did such following a near catastrophic financial scandal a couple of years ago, as Columbus Regional is currently profitable.

This possibility.. probability.. is basically selling Columbus out.. No longer will Columbus Regional be the "strategic partner" with Columbus, GA. It seems that releasing/firing/retiring a large contingent of Columbus connected people is causing the 35+ year "understanding" between Columbus Council and Columbus Regional to become moot. A Columbus Council move "gave away" our hospital to the hospital management under the understanding that the "new" hospital would run the hospital better than Council. As I remember, current Judge, former Mayor and sitting Council member when that decision was made, Bobby Peters was the only Council person who objected to the "sell out" based on exactly this situation happening.. Of course there is "a possibility" that the CRHG Executive Committee MAY have and felt a guilty twinge when meeting secretly this weekend and decided NOT to get engaged in subterfuge... but I doubt it.

From the :hmmm.... yeah... right.. that's the ticket" department - Online story: "ABOARD THE PAPAL PLANE, April 29 (Reuters) - Pope Francis said on Saturday a third country, such as Norway, should try to mediate the dispute between North Korea and Washington, to cool a situation that had become "too hot" and posed the risk of nuclear devastation." -- Well I guess Norway may have an arsenal of "new, clear, snowballs"....

---
From the "obviously he majored in "Common Crap Math... 2+2=5" department - Online headline/story: *Starbucks still hasn't fixed its biggest problem in a time of 'disruption' *  Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson said in a call with investors that the new rewards program and the company's digital platform are crucial to Starbucks' success during a "period of disruption" in the retail industry, as brick-and-mortar retails struggle to compete with ecommerce competitors" -- "to compete with ecommerce competitors"?  UPS delivers competitors coffee? Hmmm maybe their service is faster.

---
From the "now we know why soon-to-be-ex-GA-District 133 Representative John Pezold was pushing for Uber not to have to collect GA sales taxes" department -- Online story: "McDonald's plans to expand its relationship with Uber Technologies as it seeks to offer delivery of its food to customers in more U.S. cities." -- While McDonald's franchisee Pezold has announced he's not going to run again (guess he knew this would come out eventually), now that this is public, he should resign immediately!

From the "coin flip" department.. Trump attended a rally in Pennsylvania to

It's funny.. though not "Ha-Ha", to read the CNN report of Trump's Pennsylvania rally with 7,000 plus American citizens there. CNN did not mention of the numbers of people who came there to support the President versus the 2,700 who sat at the Washington Hilton (in seats mostly bought by others) patting themselves on the back.. Art does imitate life....

---
It's funny, too, that thousands of libs gathered in Washington, DC Saturday to support/protest "Climate Change".. (I'm perplexed as to which as are most of the supporters/protesters) .. I'm sure the 100,000 or so looked around and saw that over 300,000,000 Americans were not there..

---
From the "meanwhile, across the street" department - Online story : "About two hours before Trump was scheduled to start speaking, more than 100 Democratic and liberal activists gathered in a field across the street to express their opposition *  “This rally and march is to send a message to the president that he needs to be more moderate and more inclusive,” said Harrisburg Mayor Eric Papenfuse (D). “I hope he will look around and understand that he needs to do more than rally his supporters. He needs to listen to and speak with those who didn’t vote for him.”" --  Hey.. I believe that the 100 or so losers would benefit from looking around and see that their neighbors were across the street.

---
Trump's supporters are loyal for one basic reason, not only is he keeping the promises he made before the election, he's standing up in public to make Americans aware that he's still working on keeping the promises he made that are still works in progress..

---
On a local issue.. roundabouts.. what proponents don't mention is that in Europe, there are less than half as many personal drivers of cars than America, and that the majority of cars driven by Europeans are in the sub-compact class, and easier to manipulate through such traffic configurations.

---
L-E headline: "With lawsuits gone, what is being proposed by mayor?" --  If there is one obvious thing shown by this, it's that Columbus has suffered (well, her legal buddies sure won) economically while Tom-LYING-son distracted media from looking at the local economy, and focus on the law suits.

---
Uber-LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Looks like the U.S. declared war against Syria without any provocation." -- Hmmm.. and real America remembers it as President Trump keeping the promise Obama failed to keep when ASSwad crossed the line Obama drew in the sand.

---
From the "conservative college students are smarter than liberal college students and others" department - Online headline: " Yale's College Republicans hold BBQ near a hunger strike to increase protesters' anguish" -- heh heh heh

Looks like the rumors that Joe Biden may run in 2020 are percolating as we speak.. you know, it might be fun to see how mainscream media would describe his son's current and former wives...

---
You know, with any luck, Kim Jong Ooooops will test fire another missile, and it will go haywire, divert its course to find Kim Jong Oooops' observation site, and explode.

---
"Relay for Life" reminds us of the war we are engaged in to rid our society of cancer...now we have another opportunity to rid our country of another kind of cancer which may have worse long term effects than the disease cancer..liberalism...vote for and support conservatives ..rid our nation of Democrats and RINOs.

---
You know, the now old, and probably obsolete cost estimate of $2.7 MILLION to build the "roundabout" at River Road and Bradley Park was dishonest to begin with..it didn't include the amount of money we already paid to have the stop lights and paving of the existing intersection that will be scrapped.

---
Our US Congressman from GA District 3, Drew Ferguson, released this in an e-mail communique: "This week I was able to attend the signing of an executive order with fellow members of the Education and the Workforce Committee. President Trump signed an executive order which will direct the Secretary of Education to ensure Department of Education regulations conform with laws requiring state and local control of education. The Secretary of Education will need to modify or rescind any regulations that are not in compliance." -- Yes! Isn't it nice to have a president who is actually interested in making sure our students have the best education possible, and state and local taxpayers get more for their money!

---
From the "there ought to be a law" department - Just left Disney on Ice...there ought to be a law against selling toys with lights and batteries at any event a grandfather takes his 5 year old granddaughter to celebrate her birthday.

---
From the "it's not really funny if you have to tell people to laugh .. before they hear/read what a columnist writes about" department - L-E headline: "Columnist Tim Chitwood uses humor to answer readers’ emails"..

---
L-E headline/story: "LEDGER INQUIRER * Big red arrows lead way to The Village, Uptown or Lakebottom" -- yeah.. sounds more like itshows leadership in Columbus government that doesn't know which way it is going.
---
Instant repeat - L-E headline/story: "LEDGER INQUIRER * Big red arrows lead way to The Village, Uptown or Lakebottom " -- Hmmm... or maybe it's a future indication of the debt load Mayot Tom-LYING-son will leave us when she vacates her office.

---
Instant repeat - L-E headline/story: "LEDGER INQUIRER * Big red arrows lead way to The Village, Uptown or Lakebottom * That was the goal of Mid-Town Inc. as part of its Minimum Grid Mobility Plan, but this week’s focus is aimed at answering two big questions from residents posting more than 100 comments on the Columbus Concerned Citizen Forum: whether the four structures qualify as art * Locations will be placed on the structures to identify The Village, Lakebottom and Uptown, fewer that two miles away." -- "locations will be added"? Sounds more like they are billboards rather than art.

---
Uber-LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Trump is a poor man’s idea of a rich man, a weak man’s idea of a strong man, and a stupid man’s idea of a smart man." -- Ah! the ramblings of a liberal who feels he.she is smarter AFTER a few glasses of wine..

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Ironic that candidate Trump’s rhetoric about Hillary Clinton being under investigation has come back to haunt him. Careful what you wish for." -- "ironic"? "rhetoric"? Hmmm.. when you parse this. it sounds like Hellary is actually transgendered and coming out.

---

L-E headline/story: "NFL DRAFT * Falcons top pick makes name for himself at draft * he was carrying on like a dockworker at quitting time. Let one oath drop while whooping it up with the commissioner. Dropped the F-bomb during a walk-off interview with the NFL Network’s Deion Sanders." -- You know..I do believe it's time the FCC stepped in and prohibits any more "live" interviews at the NFL drafts or in the locker rooms.
