Let's not forget today.. all day, is Memorial Day. Be respectful.. and reverent as we honor the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country and it's belief in freedom.

Only liberals can find a way to denigrate patriotism and love of country and freedom.. liberals label everything they can to segment..to divide.. the nation as a whole.. all I see are the tombstones of Americans willing to put their lives on the line for the ideals of our Forefathers.. Of course, we don't see a single tombstone highlighted with either a "Liberal-American" or "Editorial Cartoonist-American".

From the "mainscream media would find a way to knock Trump if he saved a baby from an attacking pit bull by saying Trump was cruel to a dog" department - HuffPOOPOO "headLIE"/video: "Emmanuel Macron appears to swerve Trump's handshake at NATO to hug Angela Merkel instead" -- Good grief.. Macron did what any civil gentleman would do under the circumstance.. The circumstance being meetin a group of "equals" and one is a woman.. a civil man first honors the woman, then others..Watch this video"

It's gone too far.. This is what happens when a lie gets told so often that it seems to become the truth.. Trump's Executive Order to block refugees/travelers  from 6 dysfunctional countries is not a "travel ban".. it's a ban from entering only the USA..and after recent cowardly attacks on women/children in Manchester, Christians in Egypt, and the LGBTQ's in Orlando, I'd say Trump is RIGHT.

Hellary is going to get a job at Wellesley? As what, a revisionist history professor? Did you hear her talk about Nixon's " impeachment"? She made that up..Nixon was never impeached..he resigned rather than subject the office of the president to such angst..of course, she didn't mention her husband's actual impeachment nor his failure to save/preserve the dignity of the Oval Office.

---
You know, if I was Trump or worked on his staff, and was responsible for setting up communications with various major governments in the post election atmosphere where the previous administration's appointees controlled the State and National Security Departments, I, too, would want communications between the new president-elect and world leaders to have a direct communication avenue that bypassed the "leaky" atmosphere of Obama's minions. Events have proven Trump's philosophy were "right on".

Wow.. Greg Allman was younger than me...

When street thugs shoot other street thugs here in Columbus, GA.. do they just think they will probably get away with it like most do in Chicago either by police overload, DA ineptness, or witness/jury apathy?

---
Uber-LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Singleness of purpose -  The motivation for Republicans to repeal Obamacare is to give the super wealthy a nearly $1 trillion tax reduction. About this goal the Republicans are unified." -- Good grief.. how do we fight ignorance when liberals are in charge of our education system and mainscream media?

---
Those ubiquitous "Together 2017" ads.. now they are showing up as "pop up" ads on Internet news stories, as well as daily in the L-E.. Somebody has suggested that the L-E is running them for free, but we all know that the L-E is not on good enough financial grounds to afford such generosity, so I ask again.. who is paying or these ads, and how much has been spent on them? Seems to me, a lot more public good could be accomplished if just the money spent on ads was spent on community projects..as opposed of saving the L-E from extinction..

Trump calls his first overseas trip a "home run".. Yes!  but, mainscream media will report it as a "run home"..

You know Advanced Disposal could "clean up" its own backyard... and image.. with some fence screening at its Veterans Parkway business site.. it certainly is not a pretty sight to ride by. In fact, a lot of businesses along the heavily traveled Veterans Parkway could help with Columbus' image to tourist and passers-through by tidying up their sites,, and getting rid of all the barbed wire..and razor wire.. would be a great first step.
What must tourists.. and even business scouts looking over Columbus really think about our crime situation.

You know.. even George Will does not ask the consummate question.. How does a non-resident,, one who lives and is registered to vote in another Congressional District, be allowed to run in another District?

While I generally move on once I glance at any Leonard Pitts commentary headline, I did have the curiosity to read the first two paragraphs of his  Siunday's piece..L-E commentary headline/content: "Right-wing intolerance for inconvenient facts * BY LEONARD PITTS JR. * Miami Herald * Some people will call it surprising that a reporter was reportedly assaulted Wednesday night by a political candidate. Truth is, it is not surprising in the least. * For those who hadn’t heard: Greg Gianforte, a Montana Republican running for Congress, was charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly body-slamming Ben Jacobs, who works for the British newspaper The Guardian, hard enough to break his glasses. This, because Jacobs tried to ask for Gianforte’s opinion of the GOP health care bill in the wake of an estimate from the Congressional Budget Office that it would leave 23 million Americans without health care." -- Well, suggesting that a British reporter's question started the eventual results is what Leonard "the Pitts" does best.. leave out pertinent detail.. Pitts conveniently (as it supported his biases) tap-danced around the fact that said "reporter" grabbed Gianforte by his wrist.. an assault condition in all 50 US states.. but that's what Pitts does to get his writings into liberal tabloids.

Last week, I was in Atlanta and drove most of the length if Peachtree from downtown to Oglethorpe University. Yesterday, I drove up 2nd Ave from 12th Street to Manchester Expressway. Peachtree in Atlanta is in a lot better shape than 2nd Ave in Columbus...and don't think every business visitor to Columbus doesn't notice this. And when you think about it more, it doesn't even seem probable.. much less possible..

Saw retired WTVM9 newscaster Dick McMichael doing an ad for Beltone hearing aids..He said he's no longer missing so much of what he hears people say. I guess that means he might start hearing what politicians say...and stop voting for Democrats.

I've tried to stop at McDonald's for my favorite "Big Mac", but after verbal exchanges with John Pezold, finally outgoing GA District 133 Rep, I cannot pull through the drive-thru without imagining a "double Whopper" so I usually end up at Burger King, but yesterday, I wanted fish and McDonald's "Pick 2" for $5 bucks "lured" me in. Didn't see the Pick 2 menu, but ordered it anyway, but the girl barked back that the "Pick 2" menu had been discontinued, and two fish sandwiches would be $7.58 plus taxes.. just said, "no thanks," and drove over to BK and ordered a "double John Pezold".

Online headline: "Report: Manchester Suicide Bomber Used Student Loan And Benefits To Fund Terror Plot" -- Hmmm.. wonder how much in student loans foreign students have in our country?

---
Crime is escalating.. again.. and 3 of the worst neighborhoods produce chances of being a victim of violent crime between 1-in-less-than-10 in Memphis, TN and  Kansas City, MO, and Chicago. Imagine just walking around on the streets where you live with 9 other people KNOWING there's a good chance one of you will be going to a hospital..or  morgue..

From the "why does the L-E hire employees that know nothing about how our government operates" department - L-E headline/"story": "Bad sewer pipes turning South Lumpkin Road red *  Drive out South Lumpkin Road and you might wonder what happened to the nicely paved road now covered by Georgia red clay. Along with the work, the two lanes of traffic have been reduced to one as crews replace about 2.5 miles of failed 30-inch sewer pipe from Fort Benning to the South Columbus Water Resource Facility in Columbus. *  Work is underway, possibly through the end of June to replace the sewer pipe and avoid a major failure in the line due to excessive corrosion, said Vic Burchfield, vice president of Information, Security & Environmental Services. The last of the old pipes were removed Thursday, and the main work left is to repave the road. *  The Water Works was forced to dig up the corroded pipe after only eight years of service and replace it with high-density polyethylene pipe, which shouldn’t face the same problems in the wastewater environment. *  Almost $5.1 million have been spent on the project so far, and it will take another $400,000 to complete the paving, Burchfield said. Columbus residents aren’t footing the bill because the line serves Fort Benning, " -- "Columbus residents aren’t footing the bill because the line serves Fort Benning"? And people wonder why, I call him "Hasn't Ever Ben Wright"... who does "Hasn't Ever Ben Wright" "feel" Ft Benning gets it's funding from...Now, what company sold that pipe for construction, and hasn't the L-E identified the contractor, supplier, and pipe manufacturer?

L-E story: "Phenix City police are investigating an alleged block party shooting after 12 people were taken to Midtown Medical Center for gunshot wounds and other injuries." -- 12 shooting victims? Dang, the most victims in a single event in Chicago this year has been "only" 10.. Wonder if Chicago street thugs will try to top this? Now, the big question is why the Phenix City victims were taken to Columbus rather than a Phenix City facility....

You know.. no matter how often Hellary "throws" her "victim" or "woman" card out onto the table, she always gets "TRUMPed"
