From the "quick, reassemble the spin-team" department - HuffPOOPOO "headLIE": "Why did Trump fire FBI Director James Comey? Cover-up of Russia investigation suspected" -- Personally, I think Comey wanted to get fired...He should have been fired January 20th, but Trump gave him a second chance...partly to show his ability to be magnanimous..but wrongfully in hindsight.

Can you imagine how mainscream media MIGHT have reacted last July had Comey done his job and released the Hellary scandal stuff to AG Loretta Lynch, and she sat on it without comment after she wrongfully met with Bill Clinton in her plane at the airport. What I mean about Comey having simply "done his job".. Comey was the lead investigator.. his job was to accumulate data/evidence, then turn it over to the Attorney General for processing.. his job was NOT to explain why.. or why not, he thought it was or was not, a prosecutable crime.

You know, I'll bet the new FBI Director's first action will be to put an order in effect.. immediately, that any investigation interviews be videoed, and saved,  for "'the record".

HuffPOOPOO "headLIE"/"story": "Poll: Majority view Republican bill to repeal, replace Obamacare unfavorably * A new poll conducted by AOL News * Of those polled, 60 percent said they have an unfavorable opinion of the Republican health care bill" -- Hmmm.. an AOL "poll".. bet they asked everyone in the office... You know, a politically biased, popularity based "poll" is taken about a new person taking control, and making much needed changes...  if the person is doing a great job shaking things up, then those who didn't understand why they were unhappy before are not going to understand why things will be better when he completes his mission. That. my friends, explains liberal voters and mainscream media in a nutshell.

Another HuffPOOPOO "story": "The Trump administration has reportedly been looking into the criminal backgrounds of Haitians who are in the U.S. under a special program which is up for renewal. *  Called Temporary Protected Status, or TPS, it was instituted by the Obama administration in 2010 as a way to allow Haitian residents to legally live in the U.S. until the country recovered from a massive earthquake that left the island nation devastated *  According to the Associated Press, or AP, which initially broke the story based on internal emails it had obtained, officials at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services wanted to know the crimes that had been committed by these Haitian immigrants as well as the approximate number who were receiving public benefits despite not being eligible to do so." -- You know.. the two aspects the HuffPOOPOO should.. but doesn't... focus on are: 1 - After 6 years under Obama, why the "program" was still being called "Temporary", and 2 - why wasn't the Obama Administration KEEPING UP with crimes and abuses of the Haitian refugees!

From the "troubling" department - In NY, a military vet was arrested..and could be sentenced for up to 21 years.. for having semi-automatic pistol magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammo. You know, when I bought my .40 caliber Glock (Model 22) for personal protection in 1993, it came with magazines that held 15 rounds. Does that make me a criminal for still having/using them?

Online headline: "‘Separate But Equal’: Black Harvard Students to Hold Blacks ONLY Commencement Ceremony" -- "separate but equal"? Isn't that the argument that the US Supreme Court struck down in its ruling in 1954? You know, I mentioned recently that we need to amend the Constitutional qualifications on becoming a U S Supreme Court Justice.. by eliminating anyom=ne who went to Harvard.. this action just confirms my argument. The "reason" mentioned is that "the black students of Harvard apparently are so marginalized and hated that they need to create a special safe-space wherein they can “celebrate their unique struggles and achievements”"., but you know, it's by PUBLIC example that movements thrive and go forward.. It's by PUBLIC display that change for good is recognized.

There is news of a tunnel collapse at a nuclear energy facility in Washington state.. secondary reports deny any radiation leaks.. you know.. why should we believe any such denial issued by Washington state officials...or CNN reports.

Online headline: "Condoleezza Rice on Removing Civil War Monuments: 'Sanitizing History to Make You Feel Better Is a Bad Thing'" -- Yep... sorta reminds us of what radical Islamic jihadists have done in Iraq and Syria.. destroyed/purged 1000's of year old Christian monuments/ buildings, religious sites. But you know what, people remember...

L-E headline: "COLUMBUS REGIONAL HEALTH * Hospital pursues merger with Atlanta-based provider" --
Last Monday, May 1st, I reported this item:

"This ought to wake us up, but don't be surprised to find out Columbus Regional Medical Group has SOLD COLUMBUS OUT over the weekend!

An Executive Committee met over the weekend and plan to make an announcement today about entering into (or seeking) a "strategic partnership" with a so-far unannounced  medical group that has no interest in Columbus, GA.. This is different from how/why St Francis did such following a near catastrophic financial scandal a couple of years ago, as Columbus Regional is currently profitable.

This possibility.. probability.. is basically selling Columbus out.. No longer will Columbus Regional be the "strategic partner" with Columbus, GA. It seems that releasing/firing/retiring a large contingent of Columbus connected people is causing the 35+ year "understanding" between Columbus Council and Columbus Regional to become moot. A Columbus Council move "gave away" our hospital to the hospital management under the understanding that the "new" hospital would run the hospital better than Council. As I remember, current Judge, former Mayor and sitting Council member when that decision was made, Bobby Peters was the only Council person who objected to the "sell out" based on exactly this situation happening.. Of course there is "a possibility" that the CRHG Executive Committee MAY have and felt a guilty twinge when meeting secretly this and decided NOT to get engaged in subterfuge... but I doubt it.
weekend and decided NOT to get engaged in subterfuge... but I doubt it." --

Looks like what I said will happen.. I understand why scandal and financial "irregularities" brought St Francis to it's knees so it had to either close or seek support.. but in Columbus Regional's situation, those conditions do not exist.. This is simply a move to separate Columbus citizens from Columbus concerns.

Now, what I want to know is, who at Columbus Regional will get the money!

L-E headline/story: ":FHC leader: Group ‘almost lynched’ during Claflin debate *  Mayor Teresa Tomlinson, who said she was surprised to learn at Tuesday’s meeting that FHC would receive a 5 percent cut from the developer, Oracle Consulting, for educational programs. * when pushed by the Mayor and councilors on the issue, Henry said he was willing to drop the 5 percent fee to move the project forward. After the meeting, the Rev. Richard Jessie, FHC executive director for restoration, said he was disturbed by the discussion. * “In the proceedings that just occurred, a man — Friends of Historic Claflin — was almost lynched today and we want to call this city to accountability,” he said. “We’ve worked for three years to get to a point where we’ve identified investors, and now the city wants to drop Friends of Historic Claflin from existence, and that’s not going to happen.” -- Does this not reveal Richard Jessie's real motive for pursuing this project (which, by documentation, is NOT the grounds of the first black school in Columbus).. Reverend Richard Jessie.. there was no LYNCHING.. you just had your legs knocked out from under your personal plans to profit at public expense.

Oh! and shame on the L-E for using the word "lynching" in the headline and story!

From the "another liberal "good intentions" plan that's doomed to fail as usual" department - L-E story: "Across the country, someone dies of an opioid overdose every 24 minutes. In Massachusetts, the death toll is five people a day. * In the face of this epidemic, Cambridge could become the first city to take a step that until recently might have seemed unthinkable: It might place lockboxes on street corners to give the public easy access to Narcan, the brand name for naloxone, a medication that can rapidly revive people who have overdosed." -- Good grief.. and since opioid OD's happen in the dark, who that need an anecdote would be able to walk to a street corner and ably access a lockbox.. Of course, on the other hand.. by the end of the day such drug was stocked/restocked,  someone would access it, take all of it, and hoard/resell it themselves.
