Let us take a moment to remember the brave soldiers who not only died, but
survived, as well, the invasion of Europe to defeat Adolph Hitler. We salute you
all who kept the world safe on this date 73 years ago.

HufPOOPOO headline: "CNN to rump JR: "You are misleading your followers" -- Hmm.. and the perfect Trump Jr response would be, "CNN, you're misleading your follower".
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Angry man releases hundreds of bed bugs in government office" -- Oooops, my bad, thought this was another tirade about Trump firing a bunch of Obama appointees.

Good grief.. a "Zip-line" has been added onto the Eiffel Tower.. guess it's a way France can claim another junkie activity naming .. First it was the potato.. and we got "French Fries". Now, it is about "couch potatoes" and "French Flies". Excuse me.. no groaning.
Hey.. show this to Mayor Tom-LYING-son.. she'll probably adopt it as a way to avoid lines at the Government Center elevators..

Now mainscream media is abuzz about Trump not endorsing Article 5 of the NATO founding document, and criticized him for being the only US president since it was founded not doing so. Hmm.. in defense, Trump did demonstrative state that "the US would "never forsake the friends that stood by our side" in the aftermath of 9/11." -- Let me ask you.. if you were an ally of the US, would you rather hear Trumo promising you to be there for you and know so, or Obama endorsing Article 5, then wondering if he would "cross the line" when you needed the US's help?

Following up on a mention last week about how Columbus' property taxes were higher than the 15th worst state (Kansas), here is where GA ranked overall:
27. Georgia
> Effective property tax rate: 0.9%
> Median home value: $159,300 (19th lowest)
> Per capita property tax collections: $1,011 (19th lowest)
> Median household income: $51,244 (19th lowest)
As you can see, GA is in the middle range of the 50 states.. The highest rate being NY with a 2.1%, and the lowest rate being Hawaii with a rate of .3% (basically 1/7th of NY, and 1/3rd of GA). Kansas (which I mentioned in last weeks item) has an effective rate of 1.3%

Online story: "Bill Maher will not be benched for his comment about "house n*****" * Sources familiar with the situation tell us, HBO will not yank Bill from the air or fire him for the comment he made to Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse on last Friday's show. * Maher apologized quickly and the fallout from the comment got quickly lost after the London terrorist attack." -- Well, what did you expect.. if FCC head, Ajit Pai wouldn't axe or fine CBS.. an open air broadcaster, for the intolerable comments made on ait about our president, what did you expect the FCC to do about what's said on a cable broadcast ?

It's almost ironic that Kathy Griffin has been excoriated by liberals for her commentary move of showing a decapitated head of our president.. Seems that in 2007, libs didn't blink an eye when Griffin blasphemed Jesus.. Remember the 2007 Emmy Awards.. and Griffin announced: "“Now, look, a lot of people come up here and they thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus. He didn’t help me a bit. If it was up to him, Cesar Millan would be up here with that damn dog. So all I can say is suck it Jesus, this award is my God now”. You know, like atheists in a foxhole. Griffin has asked, "Why me, Jesus?" more than once in the past two weeks.,,, but, you know, Jesus is there for her when she figures it out.

From the "it's not one world" department - Did you know that even at a 5-Star hotel in Guatemala, that when you use the bathroom facilities, you cannot flush your used toilet paper? Wonder if Guatemalan realize they CAN flush when traveling in the USA?

There was an article this weekend about the eclectic collection of cars Trump has in his private collection..One mentioned was his S600 Mercedes.. the writer went too far in describing the vehicle being able to protect him from small arms fire. You know, I took this mention as a "heads up" to terrorists (foreign and domestic.. there are still Hellary-nistas out there) to use heavier ammo if they see him not riding in "the Beast" during or after his time in office.

Good grief..several Arab nations just cut off diplomatic exchanges with Qatar...why are liberals still opposed to Trump's entry ban of 6 countries closely associated with Qatar?
---
Hey, London Mayor Khan..you say the jihadists do not represent you...hmmm..Mayor Khan, does this mean you. in front of God and everybody, have denounced the Quran?

Looks like the Mayor is re-earning her nick name... Queen TT.... looks like
her tax raise will rain TT on Columbus homeowners.

These new millennial hangouts/restaurants...it's bad enough they don't put enough food on the plate for anyone, but what are they thinking when they put the same amount on my bride's plate as they do on my plate?

Winner..Weiner.. how does a 25 year old person, especially one who speaks Farsi, get "top secret clearance vetting" for a job with an American Security Agency?

From the "as the spin turns" department - L-E headline/headlie/story?:
"W.C. Bradley Co. turns to familiar face to lead Real Estate Division. Another
Columbus born company has gone outside Columbus and replaced an outgoing icon
with an outsider. Now both major aspects of the WC Bradley Company are void of
Columbus-influenced leadership... We've seen how ignoring local talent has
effected our school system, our mainstay banking institution, and our newspaper
now basically operates out of Macon.. heck even out post office sends local mail
to Macon for processing .. guess we'll just have to wait and see what
happens.
