Online headline: "3 CNN staffers are out over retracted Russia
investigation story" -- Things are much worse at CNN than has been obvious..
revenues must really be "off" if CNN is firing people for running "fake
news".

Got this email from Tim Kane and the DNC yesterday - "Hal, there's a simple fact about our party: Democratic values are American values." -- "American values"? I hardly think violent protests during and AFTER the election is an "American value"... I hardly think "obstruction of justice" is an "American value"...and I hardly think sabotaging legislation to rewrite our taxes and failed healthcarew programs is an "American value". I just wonder which "America" the Democrats value.
---
I am curious...really..about folks that undergo gender reversal operations..are they interested in the now opposite sex.. or want relationships with their previous gender friends who weren't interested in the opposite sex?
---
Online story: "In Georgia, just 31 of the 180 state House districts featured both Republican and Democratic candidates, a nation-high uncontested rate of 83 percent." -- It's even worse in North Columbus.. where RINOs run unopposed because there's no reason for the Democrats to provide a differing viewpoint..
---
I hate to see a PAC taking credit for Handel's victory against the Democrat's "all in" effort to elect Ossoff to take over Tom Price's District 6 Congressional seat. It was Trump's supporters that answered the call.. the all out assault on the president.. I just hope Republican candidates understand what happened was not about money, but about ideology, and America's future.

From the "Red Allen.. How about that" department - L-E headline/story:
"Chick-fil-A to go up at Shogun site at Columbus Park Crossing * There are
currently five Chick-fil-A restaurants open in Columbus and one in Phenix City.
The most recent one opened last week on Manchester Expressway" -- If I read
this right, the success of Chick-fil-A demonstrates that the fastest growing
industry in Columbus is Christian based.. that ought to send chills up and down
the Democrats' backs.

From the "there is a light at the end of the tunnel" department - L-E story: "His request to postpone the agenda item wasn’t granted, but the Muscogee County School Board’s vote on a controversial matter during Monday night’s called meeting produced the same result District 8 representative Frank Myers had sought. * The board unanimously voted 8-0 to table until the July 11 work session the item board chairwoman Pat Hugley Green of District 1 had placed on the agenda: “Board consideration of hiring independent counsel for potential accreditation matters related to board conduct.”" -- Hmmm.. it's amazing how a little light shining into the darkness can illuminate the truth.. unfortunately, it's taken "floodlights" to bring the MCSB out of the darkness.
---
Another from the "there is a light at the end of the tunnel" department - L-E story: "Columbus city officials don’t like using words like “withheld” or “missing” when referring to wages city employees won’t see in their paychecks come August." -- Hmmm.. and City employees and Columbus citizens do not like Council/Mayor totalitarianism or wasteful projects that eat into the fund balance.
---
Oh.. have you seen all the "Share the Road" half-signs put up to remind auto drivers to be alert? If the City is going to spend that much money on signs, why doesn't it put out complete signs... like "Share the Road/Share the Expenses".

From the "this is what happens when students are allowed ..pushed.. to achieve goals" department - L-E headline/story: "Jordan High’s auto program earns additional $65,000 * Team Red Jacket won the 2016 Quaker State “Best in Class Challenge” in December, prevailing among five finalists and 55 semifinalists in the six-week competition to restore and customize a classic Ford Mustang. As a result, their 1996 Mustang qualified for the Barrett-Jackson Auction in West Palm Beach, Fla., in April, when the buyer returned the car to Team Red Jacket and donated the $50,000 winning bid to Jordan’s automotive program after hearing the team’s inspiring story. * That enabled Team Red Jacket to sell their car again. And during the Barrett-Jackson Northeast auction last week at the Mohegan Sun resort in Connecticut, the buyer also returned the car to Team Red Jacket and donated the $65,000 winning bid to Jordan’s automotive program. That will allow Team Red Jacket to sell the car a third time, at the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction" -- America.. Americans .. respond to hard work and efforts.. This is what the MCSD "lesson plan" should be the bringing to every student at every school.

L-E page 5A (one of the most overlooked pages) headline: "Supreme Court
allows a version of Trump’s travel ban" -- While this is not over since the case
will get full attention when the US Supreme Court reconvenes on "the First
Monday in October", I do think the Court has set a bad precedence for
duplicating lower court judges that by basically (even though temporarily)
"legislating" from the bench.
---
L-E headline: "Analysis: Senate health bill would leave 22 million people
uninsured" -- Good grief.. with what people now are paying for healthcare PLUS
their deductibles, OObamaCRAP forced most people to buy insurance they cannot
afford to use..
---
L-E headline/story: "Royal Cafe and Deli on way, menu to feature Thai
rolled ice cream * Royal Cafe and Deli is not connected to the popular Royal
Cafe country cooking restaurant near downtown Columbus." -- Excuse me, but does
anyone else see the obvious injunction the 11th Street Royal Cafe will bring ..
probably by the time you read this? Wonder how many lawyers will jump on the
opportunity as "pro bono"?
---
I use the L-E digital e-print version ( on time delivery as early as I
rise, plus no cheap ink to get on my hands of bathrobe) at $99.00 annually, but
can you imagine someone subscribing for a year of home delivery for over
$500.00? What I gather is the L-E is trying to eliminate any paper editions..
which, in turn, will eliminate any reason for the L-E to maintain any kind of
office... or STAFF.. here in Columbus.
