Online "headLIE": "Majority of Americans think President Trump is abusing his powers" -- Perhaps "Majority of  Liberal-Americans think President Trump is abusing his powers", or "Majority of Uninformed-Americans think President Trump is abusing his powers", or "Majority of Journalist-Americans think President Trump is abusing his powers", but not the majority of Patriotic-Hard Working-Tax Paying-Americans.

Random Thought: Of all the ways to get people listen to your ideas, ANGER is the least effective to rally long lasting support.

---
From the "now we understand why Fox parted ways with Gretchen Carlson" department - Online story: " (Carlson) quoted a December 2015 poll showing majority support for an “assault weapons” ban and said, “I’m with the majority today, taking a stand.” *  Interestingly, when confronted by Second Amendment supporters on Twitter, Carlson doubled down on her pro-ban stance, claiming that “the fact that you’re even using the Second Amendment as an argument against banning assault weapons shows me you’re ignorant. Don’t you know the 2nd Amendment was written before guns were even invented?”" -- Our "2nd Amendment was written BEFORE guns were invented"?  While the first use of a "firearm was recorded in Sweden during the 5th Century, use of what we refer to as "guns" appeared in 1364. I learned this from a PBS website so even liberals should know better.

Online headline/story: "MSNBC fires Greta Van Susteren, replaces her with liberal host *  Greta Van Susteren is out at MSNBC less than six months after she started at the cable channel. * MSNBC said that Van Susteren's nightly 6 p.m. show would be replaced with one hosted by Ari Melber, MSNBC's chief legal correspondent who also hosts his own weekend show, "The Point." -- Hmmm.. While not surprised that Van Susteren wasn't "liberal enough" (DOH! MSNBC's most popular host is Rachel Maddow.), MSNBC has another problem it will have to explain.. MSNBC fired a woman and replaced her with a man....

---
L-E headline: "Georgia Power Company spokesman explains why they're closing Columbus payment center" -- Hmmm.. sounds more like GA Power is no longer interested in being a participating "citizen" in Columbus... GA Power is eliminating local jobs, eliminating paying local property and B.I.D. taxes, and happy to let customers "pay fees" for the "privilege" of paying their bills to other bill payment agents. Hey, PSC, GA Power's expenses are going DOWN... how about adjusting their "rates" down...

---
Online headline/story: "NJ millionaires-on-welfare bust: More arrests to come, prosecutor says *  The seven wealthy New Jersey couples, including a rabbi and his wife, who allegedly gamed the system to collect about $2 million in unmerited welfare benefits may just be the tip of the iceberg. *  One of the couples allegedly received Medicaid benefits for multiple years despite their annual income of more than $1 million, the complaint said." -- Hmmm.. wanna bet that none of them was a Trump voter in 2016?

---
Online headline: "Study finds US city with the worst drivers" -- I'm wondering how Columbus didn't make this "list", but then I realize, the two-week narrowing of 13th Street wasn't factored in..

---
HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "President Trump 'obsessed with former President Obama,' columnist claims * President Donald Trump has spent much of the first six months of his presidency promoting his own agenda, but he's also worked to dismantle some of his predecessor's achievements. * In an op-ed in the NYT. columnist Charles Blow argued President's Trump's actions prove he's absorbed withe the former president's successes. -- "(Trump's) absorbed withe the former president's successes"?  Good grief.. Obama's "sucessess" would take less than 2 minutes to dismantle.. it's his failures that are taking so much time for a weak Congress to dissolve.

From the "only in California" and the "when you imagined California had no room to grow insanity wise" departments - Online headline/story: "San Francisco to pay $190G to undocumented immigrant over sanctuary law violation, lawyer says *  A man from El Salvador in the U.S. illegally who sued San Francisco after police turned him over to immigration authorities in violation of the city's sanctuary law is set to be awarded $190,000 *  A man from El Salvador in the U.S. illegally who sued San Francisco after police turned him over to immigration authorities in violation of the city's sanctuary law is set to be awarded $190,000" -- Good grief.. not only should San Francisco be cut completely off any more fed tax funds, but San Francisco should be sued for the return of previous fed tax funds!  Now.. how did the man get a car/driver's licence, and was he illegally registered to vote via California's "motor-voter" laws?

What's the latest in finishing the Uptown Columbus rerouting 12th Street project?  It was a combination deal with rerouting 10th Street and 12th Street back into 2-way streets with bike lanes? I though the money was already reserved to do so.Personally, the first half of the project (10th Street) is a commercial disaster, but... Council needs to either finish it or apologize for wasting money and correct the damage already created.

---
Wow! The first half of 2017 ends tonight at midnight..

---
Mainscream media is dumbstruck at how Trump "punches back" when they get too big for their britches.. yet not one of the leftist rebuked Obama in 2011 when he filleted Trump at the White House Correspondents Dinner while Trump had no opportunity to respond.

---
Trump is getting excoriated for "attacking" the woman co-host of "Morning Joe".. In reality, Trump is just punching back at people who have gotten away with being bullies with microphones for so long that they feel entitled to be unaccountable for what they say.

---
Online story: "Gainesville and Hall County are in early talks to establish a land bank authority — a tool giving local governments broad powers to obtain properties that are blighted, vacant or on delinquent tax rolls — and put them back to productive use," -- Good grief.. please make sure Columbus Mayor Tom-LYINGson doesn't see this until after today's filing date passes! Makes her T.A.D.s picayunish when compared to taxpayer abuse potential.. While the "idea" feels good, name me a government project that has actually "put them (confiscated properties) back to PRODUCTIVE use".

With all the disappointments Columbus has suffered during the demise of the L-E, I really thought we'd seen the bottom and could not be disappointed in L-E "failures" anymore... but I am wrong.. it's 10 minutes to 8:00 AM and the e-dition of the L-E is nowhere in sight..  will include any accidental-in-value stories tomorrow, as I have more Breakfact Club reades waiting on me to wait any longer on the L-E.
