From the "how can we make the facts seem less dire in the headline" department - L-E headline/story: "Columbus unemployment rate climbs in May with increase in layoffs" -- Hmm. and the "truth is", "Fewer people were employed in Columbus this past May" Of course, the bottom 3 in GA... Columbus.. is sandwiched between Macon and Albany .. great job, Mayor Tom-LYING-son.. and you, too, Congressman Bishop...while the rest of America is soaring, Columbus and GA District 2 continue to flounder. It's a Democratic Party thing.

Yep. Columbus made it.. number 50! According to "24/7 Wall St.":

"While it is not the only factor, wealth can have a significant impact on a population's quality of life. The typical Columbus household earns just $41,859 a year, much lower than the median income nationwide of $55,775. In addition, goods and services are about 4% more expensive on average in Columbus than across the country as a whole. Further, it appears the regional economy is getting worse. While national employment increased by 4% between 2013 and 2015, employment in Columbus declined by 2.9%, the largest decline of the 551 cities reviewed.

High crime is an obvious hindrance to quality of life, and violent crime is relatively common in Columbus. There were 556 violent crimes reported for every 100,000 city residents in 2015 compared to a national violent crime rate of 373 incidents per 100,000 people. The city's property crime rate of 5,543 incidents per 100,000 residents in 2015 was more than double the national property crime rate of 2,487 per 100,000 people."  -- Hmmmm... Jonathan Gruber....remember him..the "architect" of OObamaCRAP.. well he evaluated the Republican changes, and declared such will make OObamaCRAP "WORSE"...how about that, 2 Democrats telling the truth about Democrat policies in one week...First Washed-up Schultz calling Jeh Johnson a liar and now Gruber talking about how bad OObamaCRAP was from the inception. You know.. if the Republican rewrite makes OObamaCRAP "worse", then Democrats ought to endorse it unanimously.. it would be their "ticket" to getting re-elected in 2018... of course, we KNOW nothing the Republicans add could make it "worse".

Now here's some common sense approach to how to get more people who don't want to buy insurance to do so. Make it illegal for tattoo parlors/artists to tattoo anyone unless they have proof of  insurance..it is a medical..even surgical procedure, and if a person can afford a body full of tats, he/she should be able to afford insurance.

L-E story: "Hall of Fame baseball coach Bobby Howard on Thursday accepted the job as head coach at Cartersville High School, he confirmed. *  In 39 seasons as a head baseball coach, Howard’s teams have compiled a 985-296 record. * He ended his tenure at Columbus High on March 5, 2015, when he retired three games into the season with the Blue Devils’ record at 3-0." -- It's sad, in a way, that Bobby Howard will win his 1,000th game at one of Columbus High's "arch rivals" and probably in Cartersville rather than the Columbus area.. Hmmm.. Dr Lewis.. we do not "thank you".
