Today is a big day in GA politics.. after a $50 MILLION dollar spending campaign, will Democrats be able to buy the GA 6th District Congressional seat for an out-of-district candidate? If you have friends in District 6, contact them to remind them that their district's integrity is being compromised by out of state money and an out of district candidate. Better yet, drive up and cast a provisional vote. why not.. if an out-of-district candidate can run, why shouldn't out-of-district, but registered in GA voters vote?

More than $42 MILLION has been spent on TV and Radio ads for the District 6 Congressional race..isn't it about time that reins are put on the sheer amounts that can be bought? It's gotten to the point that whomever spends the most on such media is bound to curry favor and bias of the audio/visual media just based on the money spent rather than the positions candidates advocate.

From the "what short memories you Democrats have, grandma" department - HuffPOOPOO story: "Democrats slammed Republicans in a series of motions and speeches for holding private meetings to craft a replacement for Obamacare. They asked for the bill to be submitted to open committee hearings before it's subjected to a Senate vote, which Republicans say could come before the chamber's July 4 recess even though a draft has yet to be seen publicly." -- Good grief.. in 2010, when Democrats alone passed ObamaCRAP, no Republicans had a word in the construction, and the vote was taken without even non-committee Democrats knowing what was in the bill until they voted for it.

Kim Jong Oooops cut it real close.. Otto Warmbier died in American soil a few days after being released from a North Koreamn prison. You know, if Obama was still president.. or if Hellary was elected, Warmbier's family would not have been with him when he died.

---
Online headline: "Barack Obama to receive Kennedy Library's 'Profiles in Courage' award" -- Wow.. the Kennedy's get one last "stick the fork in" moment with Hellary..

----
The "DOH" headline of the week - "Colin Kaepernick's protest may be hurting his career".. "may"? Hmm.. first it's not "may", but even more damaging is his attitude..

---
Online headline: ":Cross in Pensacola park must come down, violates Constitution federal judge rules" -- Excuse me.. but how can denying the majority  it's protection under the 1st Amendment be struck down by a lower Federal Court? The Founding Fathers concept was "majority rule" with consideration for the minority..

L-E :headline: "America’s tech titans think Trump doesn’t get their needs" -- You know.. it's not all about what "tech titans" want.. Trump is looking at changes in the H-1B Visa program that will allow specialty foreign workers into our country but not at the expense of American jobs. Trump has no problem with higher paid positions, but does when out-of-country workers are brought in just to replace higher paid Americans.

Online headline/story: "Scalise attack was 'to some degree self-inflicted' claims CBS's Scott Pelley *  Thursday evening, CBS's Scott Pelley, who officially ended his tenure as the network's Evening News anchor the following evening, told viewers that "It's time to ask whether the attack on the United States Congress Wednesday was foreseeable, predictable and, to some degree, self-inflicted. *  It's clear from Pelley's subsequent commentary that his answers to all three elements are "Yes." It's equally clear from the examples he supplied as support that he sees (or wants viewers to see) the problem as predominantly about the conduct of those on the right." -- CBS has got to understand that you can't fire someone and give them a microphone on his.her way out the door.. Pelley will probably be hired as the next spokesperson for Schumer or Pelosi..

You know, the number one question mainscream media should be focused on is why mainscream media seems to focus only on negative stories about America becoming Great Again...of course, the answer is pretty easy..downright obvious in my book, it's just easier to print inuendo and rumor than dig up facts

Random thought in Letter-to-the-Editor form:

In a Monday's L-E story, Dr Lewis is attributed to saying,

'he does not personally know Vickers but that she comes highly recommended, has a

“wealth of experience” and is “the best fit for our needs right now.” -- doesn't

personally know Vickers... but the best fit for our needs?

Good grief! If this is not a confession of ineptitude, then Webster

needs to redefine it in its dictionaries! How does Lewis hire a person he don't know over

people he DOES know without condemning them ... and himself...

This is the second time this Spring that Lewis has tried to pawn off problems by

bringing in outside people to solve local problems. Now, I want to know who was the

guru Lewis got the glowing recommendation for Vickers.. one, because the board

should contact  that person and see if he/she was simply getting rid of a person under

his/her command, and two, whether the board ought to hire said guru to replace Lewis!
