From the "say what?" department - Online story: "The Massachusetts Congressman has been selected to deliver the Democratic response to the president’s speech in what may be an appeal to Trump’s voter base. * “While President Trump has consistently broken his promises to the middle class, Congressman Kennedy profoundly understands the challenges facing hard-working men and women across the country,” according to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi." -- "has broken his promises to the middle class"? What "middle class: is Pelosi talking about? The one that's gotten TAX CUTS, over 2 million new jobs, and the lowest unemployment rates in the last 18 or more years..... of=r the "middle class" that the DIMocrats have constantly voted against during the 1st year of Trump's presidency?

From the "what is it with California federal judges" department - Online headline/story: "US judge blocks Trump's attempt to deport Cambodians without due process * A federal judge late on Thursday said President Donald Trump's administration cannot immediately deport 92 Cambodian citizens from the United States without first allowing them a chance to challenge the action in court. * U.S. immigration authorities conducted raids last October and arrested approximately 100 Cambodians, many of whom had fled the Khmer Rouge government in the 1970s. * After arriving in the United States, the Cambodians had been convicted of various criminal charges, and ordered deported years ago. * In a ruling on Thursday, U.S. District Judge Cormac Carney in Santa Ana, California federal court ruled that 92 of the Cambodians still in custody could raise "serious questions" about the validity of their underlying convictions and deportation orders.* The government said the Cambodians' request should be rejected because they knew they could be deported at any instant, an argument the judge called insensitive." -- Good grief.. they had "due process".. they crimes and were convicted, and current deportation is just following out their sentences that previous administrations have failed to do.

Georgia spends over $2.5 BILLION on police protection.. about 7.56% of revenues.. which places GA in the Top 10 of states spending on police protection ( https://www.aol.com/article/finance/2018/01/26/states-spend-most-least-on-public-safety/23344936/#slide=7225014#fullscreen ) . Georgia is also number 10 of states spending the most on education ( https://www.gobankingrates.com/saving-money/states-spend-least-education/#12 ) GA also ranks 24th in Violent Crimes; 35th in a overall crimes ( https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/rankings/crime-and-corrections/public-safety ) What are we doing with the money? I have my own feelings about "Deja Vu" that researchers and scientists seem to overlook... A child's brain is also created with the union of male/female cells. Brains work a lot like the hard drive of a computer.. they store data for future reference, and with a hard drive we know such data can be "erased", but we also know that the data is not really "lost". So be it with "brains" - Babies start out with pretty much an empty "hard drive" , but it's a "hard drive" formed and passed on by the parents. Basic brain function is already present, so why cannot memories be present, though "erased" as well.. and when something repairs access to that data, the memory returns as tough we have always known that data..just like "recovery software" can find "erased" data on a computer hard drive. I know I have visited places for the first time, and felt I had been there before.

Mark 6uckerberg says FaceBook has neither proof Trump did or did not have collusion with the Russians during the campaign... 6uckerberg has no proof Trump didn't do it.. only Trump can "prove" that but our laws do not require such from him.. 6uckerberg can only have proof if Trump did something recorded in FaceBook data... which 6uckerberg says FaceBook doesn't.. On the other hand.. there's PLENTY of proof that Hellary DID collude with the Russians on the "Trump dossier". Hey, Mueller, what's the status i=of Hellary investigation?

From the "speaking of Deja Vu" department - Online headline/story: "New texts show 'fix was in' for Clinton email probe, GOP lawmakers say * Newly revealed texts between Trump-bashing FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page show the “fix was in” during Hillary Clinton's email probe in 2016, Republican lawmakers say. * The latest batch of text messages between Strzok and Page, who were involved romantically, revealed their private conversations regarding Clinton -- and their concern about being too tough on her during the investigation into her private email system use. The text messages indicate they were wary of a backlash from Clinton if she were to win the presidential election. * "It doesn’t appear anyone wanted her charged,” House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., said on Fox News' “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” -- The real question to be asked is, "Why didn't the FBI immediately initiate discovery of the 50,000 text messaged between Strzok and Page when it was first realized rather than announce "they" were lost, and yet have been easily found since by simple inquiries?

Now that Councilor Henderson is running for mayor, I've sent him a direct e-mail pertinent to his future.. in the past 10 years.. maybe more, I have not received a single response from him on any subject I've contacted Council about.. Will let you know what Henderson does..

You know, our 1st Amendment is not so much about "free" speech as HONEST speech. Mainscream media seems to forgotten how important the truth is. The US Supreme Court has already ruled that you cannot claim 1st Amendment Rights about yelling "FIRE" in a crowded theater UNLESS there IS a FIRE. Seems to me, mainscream media and DIMocrats are constantly yelling "fire" about unproven Trump stories

From the "way too little, way too late" department - Online headline/story: "Super Bowl to include salute to Medal of Honor recipients * After receiving backlash for rejecting an advertisement pitched by a group of U.S. military veterans, the National Football League announced Thursday it will include Medal of Honor recipients in next month’s Super Bowl. * Hershel “Woody” Williams, 94, who fought in the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II, and other Medal of Honor recipients will participate in the coin toss ceremony prior to the Feb. 4 game between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots in Minneapolis, the league announced." -- While the Medal of Honor winners have proven their courage.. their bravery.. on the field of battle, let's pray that they walk off the field if any players "take a knee". Sorry, NFL, I... hmmm.. you know, "Sorry NFL" pretty much says it all.

Online story: "Georgians may wind up paying a massive $3.6 billion more in state taxes over the next five years because of changes made last month in the federal tax code. * That’s largely because the federal tax law touted by President Donald Trump and Congress limited or eliminated some of the deductions Georgians have used when figuring their state taxes in the past and made it far more likely that ratepayers will use the standard federal deduction, rather than lowering their state taxable income using itemized deductions." -- Good grief! People who can claim the standard deduction of no more than $24,000 are not the people who will benefit from a standard deduction.. the generous will still use the itemized forms.

Why not finally make English the official language in GA.. the US for that matter.. the first goals of legal immigrants should be to LEARN English and the customs of the state and country. While knowing other languages is a plus in many ways, all Georgians should be able to discuss public and legal issues in a common language.

L-E headline/story: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT * Board will consider adding makeup day * The news release didn’t say what the recommendation will be from Superintendent David Lewis’ administration, but MCSD communications director Mercedes Parham told the Ledger-Enquirer in a phone interview that Lewis plans to recommend using the Feb. 19 Presidents Day holiday to make up one day of instructional time. * The state allows school districts to miss as many as four of the scheduled 180 days of classes per academic year without having to make up the time. MCSD is at the limit: Jan. 17-18, because of the snow and ice, and Sept. 11-12, because of Tropical Storm Irma." -- Why? Why make up dates when the state says we don't have to do so.. I see two possibilities.. first, it's about the money...another day times 32,000 students equals pretty big bucks.. but addressing this could also be accomplished by moving a future "teachers work day" to February 19th, and students just attend regular classes on the day the next "teachers work day" was scheduled.. the other reason is political.. liberal;s will do anything to avoid giving President Trump "his day".

L-E headline: "Court halts ‘unnecessary and cruel’ execution * The U.S. Supreme Court halted the execution of 67-year-old Vernon Madison on Thursday to further review his attorneys’ claims that strokes have left Madison mentally incompetent — to the point that he no longer remembers the killing — and that his sentence is unconstitutional. * Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall said Friday he was disappointed in the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to delay the execution of an inmate convicted of killing a police officer in 1985, saying “justice is again delayed” for the officer’s family." -- Wait a minute.. if the killer had been executed in a timely manner, the stroke would never happened and the killer's mental capacity today would not be a consideration..
Simply.. another "court fail"

L-E headline/story: "Head of Planned Parenthood steps down * Cecile Richards, who led Planned Parenthood through 12 tumultuous years, is stepping down as its president." -- You know.. I cannot wait for the future when time travel is realized... and I think the first mission should be to send back medical experts to discuss abortions with all the mothers of the people who are supporting partial birth abortions.. I'm betting mothers in past would take the steps necessary to make sure these people were never born.

You know.. trying to insert "common sense" into a conversation with a liberal about the need for "the Wall" is about as effective as TALKING to a wall.. You'd think DIMocrats would be very knowledgeable about how a "wall" works... but you have to understand ":common sense" first.
