Mother Teresa Obamalinson's current ad concerning using tax dollars to rebuild in declining neighborhoods is EXACTLY why we cannot afford her as our Mayor. As the director of MidTown, she forced a very expensive referendum down our throats to get a taxpayer funded program that had no ongoing success anywhere else, and we rejected it overwhelmingly. Can you imagine the burden she could create if she has access to the LOST Public Safety/Infrastructure revenues?

Bobby Cox is retiring from Atlanta at the end of the year. Joe Torre is stepping down at the Dodgers, also. Match?

Online headline: "Man Has the World's Longest Nose" -- Ooops. my bad! Thought the judges of the International Pinocchio Liars Club had finally chosen between potUS Imam-am, ex-POTUS Clinton, and Queen Pelosi.

In her latest movie (who cares), Lindsay Lohan "starred (?) in the grindhouse-comedy-slasher film "Machete," playing a drug-addled sex fiend-cum-Catholic nun as well." -- Now that's a stretch....NOT!

L-E story concerning the "Transportation Investment (TAX) Act of 2010": -- "Columbus would generate $30 million of the total $52 million in taxes for the region but only 25 percent would be returned for projects selected by a roundtable panel. * Councilor Evelyn “Mimi” Woodson said she doesn’t mind helping other communities but she is concerned about the majority of the money being decided by somebody else. * “I’m not comfortable with this bill when it comes to division in our community,” she said. * Now that the bill is ALREADY law, City Manager Isaiah Hugley said the city doesn’t have a choice at what happens now." -- Are you sure this wasn't from a script from a Saturday Night Live spoof skit? What's that old adage about closing the doors after the cows have left the barn? Unbelievable!!

Just a reminder for those contemplating 'other plans' for the night of Thursday, September 23, 2010. The season opener of "Bones" airs at 8:00 PM.

From the L-E: "Average U.S. household wealth now amounts to $455,173. That’s up from $415,185 during the recession. Federal Reserve, in report released Friday" -- Hmmm, guess that means that the combined wealth of the Bill Gates and Warren Buffet households average out 220,000 households which have nothing.
