Online story: "The National Bureau of Economic Research, the arbiter of when recessions begin and end, has reported that the Great Recession ended June 2009." -- Wow! Even potUS Imam-a, even VPOTUS Biden-Biden, not even the 'grate debater' Robert Gibbs could top this spin!
---
From L-E story: "The Fed's meeting comes one day after the National Bureau of Economic Research, a group of academic economists, declared that the recession that began in December 2007 ended in June 2009. It marked the longest and most severe downturn since the Great Depression. The decision won't affect the Fed's deliberations on Tuesday. That's because the Fed makes policy decisions based on where it thinks the economy is heading, say six months from now. Not where it has been." -- Is there any doubt that neither potUS Imama-a or DIM/DUMB controlled Congress has any clue of what is going on or in what direction either needs to take the next step. Hurry November!

Online headline: "Celebs Gear Up to Fight Global Poverty" -- Ooops, my bad! Thought Hollywood was going to take less gross salaries so the public could afford to go to movies.
---
Online headline/story: "Man Arrested After Alleged Bomb Attempt in Chicago * Sami Samir Hassoun, 22, a Lebanese citizen living in Chicago for about three years, was charged with one count each of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted use of an explosive device." -- Hmmm, what's interesting is that the reporter, Sophia Tareen, did not mention whether Hassoun was, or was not, Muslim. Guess what my guess is?
---
Online headline: "Dems' agenda hidden in defense bill" -- If you vote for any DIM/DUMBorat, you encourage this act of cowardice. The DIM/DUMBs have controlling numbers in both Houses but want to hide their agenda laws in necessary legislation, because they do not want to explain to the voters how they have abused and wasted our tax dollars.
---
L-E story on the carjacking: "In court this morning, Turpin faced multiple charges for which Judge ___ ____ set these bonds: $5,000 for possessing a firearm while committing a crime, $2,500 for fleeing police, $1,500 for obstructing police, $600 for having no auto insurance and $500 for having no driver’s license." The crimes also included were shooting the victim 5 times, and burdening us law-abiding taxpayers with the cost of medical and emergency treatment! Why is bond even an option, much less low enough that it could be met?

I hope someone can supply different sources/facts that are available online as other than the US, the figures/statistics are estimates rather than specific collected data, but I'd like to know why the US has more cases of Autism, percentage wise, than most every other country in the world. What about countries with socialized medicine, or like ours, with Congressionally mandated immunization laws?
---
L-E headline: "Major job fair Wednesday, Thursday" -- Ooops, my bad! It wasn't a typo, but I thought maybe there was going to be a late recruitment for more candidates for mayor.
---
L-E headline: "Teen banned from local libraries after ignoring requests to quit religious proselytizing" -- Hmmm, you can only wonder if the Library administration would have had more tolerance if the teen had been a Muslim rather than a professed Christian.
---
You know, the MCSD Board should be monitoring the best use of available funds rather than finding ways to reduce available funds for classroom use. Bus problems...eliminate busing, and for wanting to add more funds for more retirement coverage, 40 lashes (thought a little Muslim type punishment might emphasize the lack of tolerance exhibited by the Library System they monitor, too) for wanting to boost the already insufferable 84.9% of revenues that already goes for salaries and benefits.

L-E's "Thought for Today": “All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.” — Arthur Schopenhauer, German philosopher (born 1788, died this date in 1860). -- Hmmm, you mean there's still hope that liberals will ultimately accept Rush Limbaugh?
---
L-E headline: "Deal’s role with failed business still unclear" -- What's "unclear' about a father supporting and sacrificing for his children? Guess it's conservative thing; newspaper writers wouldn't understand.
---
Sweden's elections just went conservative and strongly for stronger immigration laws. " Sunday’s election showed that the country’s welcome to refugees is not universally accepted: Nearly 6 percent of the population voted for a nationalist group that accuses immigrants — especially Muslims — of eroding Sweden’s national identity and its cherished welfare state. * It’s a bitter pill for a nation that frowned upon Denmark’s vitriol toward Muslim immigrants,Swiss attempts to ban minarets and France’s crackdown on Gypsy camps. * Hardening attitudes toward immigrants have helped far-right radicals gain influence elsewhere in western Europe. * The Netherlands, which built a reputation of open minded policies, took a hard right turn against immigration in 2002, when populist politician Pim Fortuyn broke all taboos against speaking out against multiculturalism and said Holland was “full.” Anti-immigrant parties have been significant factors in every election since then" -- Hey, aren't Sweden, Denmark, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands the pedestalized examples of tolerance that liberals swoon about? My, oh my.
---
L-E headline: "Poll: Americans split on tax cut extension" -- You mean there are folks that want to raise their own taxes or lose their jobs? We do need a new "Poll tax"! Make it a crime to vote if you express the desire to raise your taxes; obviously there is a strong case for not being mentally competent if you feel that way.

While I actually agree it's not a good deal for Columbus to participate in the 1% Transportation tax because Columbus will receive only half of its contribution, Council doesn't have a good argument since it always campaigns that people outside Columbus will pay a huge portion of the SPLOST&LOST taxes Council and the MCSD Board have imposed on Columbus. Does Council have a different opinion now?
