Online story: "DEKALB, Ill. (Oct. 30) - An Illinois man may face the death penalty if convicted in the slaying of a college freshman who went missing earlier this month." -- "MAY" face the death penalty? The man is charged with 1st degree murder, rape, and then burned the young woman's remains; Saddam Hussein's 'wood chipper' should be brought into the court room on conviction date, and he should be publicly fed into it on TV, and the girl's parents should be allowed to control how long it takes to feed him into it!!!!
---
How ironic that the hurricane naming season has reached the letter "U" and "V" just in time to used on November 2nd. Hurricane "US Voters" has reached category 5 status.
---
Online headline: "Obama Warns of Progress Reversal if GOP Wins" -- Straight from the DIM/DUMBorat Donkey's mouth, words of encouragement to motivate more conservative voters to go to the polls on Tuesday!!!
---
While Ol' Roy's campaign to discredit Nathan Deal blasts away in every conceivable negative way, the reality is that Deal didn't leave Congress with bloated wealth, and Deal sacrificed for his children.
---
In yesterday's L-E "soundoff", one stated "Jesus was a liberal". You know that had to come from a modern day true liberal because he/she used Jesus with a past tense verb; Jesus lives today. Also, Jesus is a 'compassionate conservative'. He asks that we, as individuals, not some government entitlement program, tend to 'the least of us'.
---
While it's never fun to lose to Florida (with or without Spurrier), it was still the most exciting "Cocktail Bowl" game in a long time. Wait'll next year!
---
With the projected number of Congressional 'jobs' being 'lost' on Tuesday, bet the next Congress focuses on creating more jobs for unemployed voters.
---
The GA amendment wants to tax "certain vehicles" an extra $10.00 forever to funnel $80,000,000.00 annually into "trauma centers" -- "Certain vehicles"? Yeah, yours and mine. Think "Taxed Enough Already".
---
When you think about it, Ozzy Osbourne is the perfect spokesman for the DIM/DUMBorats....he drools out of both sides of his mouth.
---
One of the SEC's Bulldogs has already qualified as a bowl qualified. Go State Go!
---
L-E headline: "Tomlinson would bring vision, energy to mayor’s office " -- Yeah, since the voters overwhelmingly rejected her attempt to use TADs to waste tax dollars, Mother Teresa Obamalinson has her 'vision' focused on the Public Safety/Infrastructure LOST slush funds. Watch your wallet!
---
NPR's firing of Juan Williams sent a message all right. A direct message to the bulk of the mainstream media...toe the liberal DIM/DUMBorat Party line...or else!
---
Looking at the percentages of people's salaries in the L-E article on the Census information for the Columbus Metro area, the average teacher's salary (from another L-E article) is already higher than 62.85% of the area's population....plus their benefits!
---
Looking at the deteriorating Claflin School Building on 5th Avenue makes you wonder why the MCSD doesn't put these types of properties up for sale rather than keep them around as continued eyesores for the community. How can any visitor, heck, even lifetime residents, believe any 'boasting' of how good our school system is? Does the MCSD think having examples like this make the inuse school campuses look better by comparison?
---
The L-E's "Explore, Fall 2010". Now this is what makes a newspaper good for the community...this, and being a community watchdog on crime and politicians (in no certain order).

WTVM story: "Valley Healthcare in Columbus will be able to serve double the number of patients in the next few years. They received a $6.2 Million grant from the Department of Health and Human Services. " -- Wonder how many 'family & friends' of Congressman Bishop will be on the payroll...at least until November 2nd?
---
Another WTVM story: "President Obama confirmed Friday that explosives were found in packages bound for two Chicago, IL synagogues in a "credible terror threat" that set off a worldwide security scare across three continents. * "The U.S. is taking these threats very seriously," Obama said." -- potUS Imam-a is now his own "Press Release" go-to-guy? Does this mean Robert Gibbs is looking for other work? Maybe Mayor of NY?
---
L-E "soundoff": "Deal, Isakson, and Westmoreland are content keeping Columbus a modern day mill town." -- Obviously, the writer must be a "Tour Guide" for the vast Columbus Mill Association, which, even more obviously, means he/she hasn't had a job in decades.
---
Has anyone every really defined what a 'blue dog DIMorat" is? To me, a 'blue dog DIMorat" is simply a "yellow dog DUMBorat" who has learned to hold his breath long enough to get extra earmarks before voting the "party line".

Why are FEMA mobile homes from the Katrina snafu 5 years ago being allowed to stay in use? Wasn't there a formaldehyde issue?
---
Interesting thought from a fellow BCer: "There's been a question on the military channel lately: "Why is Osama bin Ladin still alive?" I have a theory that might answer it. If Osama bin Ladin were killed, Obama might lose his diplomatic back-channel to Al Qaeda on all questions that Soros cannot "advise" him on. Just a thought." -- keep those e-mails coming!
---
Have you seen the latest Obama, uh, Mother Teresa Obamlinson TV ad? The one where she wants to rebuild/repair private homes in declining neighborhoods with tax dollars? This is the same tactic potUS Imama-a used; telling you upfront he wanted to destroy free enterprise by robbing Peter to pay Paul so he could get all "the Pauls'" votes.
---
Also, why doe Mother Teresa Obamlinson think that if you repair houses of people who haven't kept it up that the same people will miraculously keep it maintained in the future?
---
L-E headline: "Stimulus funds to help clinic expand * Bishop presents $6.2 million check to Valley Healthcare Systems" -- Excuse me...why do Congresspersons get ownership of the tax dollar earmarks to present as though he was personally digging into his pocket to help? That's the money he's taken out of yours and my pocket! How about Congressman Bishop reaching into his own pocket and reimbursing "us" for the salaries and scholarships he gave to his family and friends?
---
Did you see potUS Imam-a on "The Daily Show" clips? Without his Teleprompters, potUS Imam-a lost his debate with a comedian.

NASA says it is planning a one-way manned trip to Mars in 2030; can we nominate certain politicians to 'volunteer'?
---
Online headline: "New York Claims an Unwanted Title: King of Taxes" -- Taxachusetts and Californicate probably will immediately file protests.
---
Do you wonder how Council members not running for re-election wonder if the Council members who are running for re-election will be there in January?
---
L-E's "QUOTABLE“: "If we make anything that lasts, it outlives us. Jeanette Winterson British author (1959- ) " -- Especially the damage of this past Congress!
---
Those pushing Issue 2 on the GA ballot do so while concealing a very important fact. If all our cars are 'taxed' $10.00 per year to go to building/operating 'Trauma Centers" around the state, $80,000,000.00 per year will be raised. Bottom line is that $80,000,000.00 will not go very far in operating such facilities. Look at the costs of operating hospitals we already have in our communities. Once in place, your taxes will be diluted even further, and the state legislature will be out to get you to "invest" more in taxes.
---
There was a letter in the L-E today from an Albany writer who made a plaintive plea to send Congressman Bishop back to Washington because "He's helped us too much." I agree, he has helped us 'too much', and he has helped himself, and his family WAY too much! Where he needs to be sent is "packing"!

Thanks to a fellow BCer for this adaptation: In the vernacular of TV advertising, in 2008 we had 'an election that lasted over 4 hours', and like socialist HELL-thSCare Bill, it's taken 2 years to schedule corrective surgery.
---
With potUS Imam-a's scathing chastisement of Latino voters, he has proven he is not "the healer". "the ONE", nor "the man of all the people" he and the mainstream media claim he is.
---
From the "what's wrong with this picture" department - From an L-E story: "
Spokesperson Bill Sutley said Aramark is the sole caterer for university events and they applied for a liquor license so they could offer alcoholic beverages at events for university donors at places like CSU’s Cunningham Center" -- Not only is a liquor license being established on a college campus, but did you notice that part about Aramark being 'the sole caterer for university events"? Some community support and partnership program..NOT.
---
If potUS Imam-a talked as tough about terrorism and illegal aliens as he does about the Republicans, there would be World Peace today.
---
Online headline: "'Chiclone' Wreaks Havoc on Chicago and Midwest " -- Ooops, my bad. Thought the press had coined a new nickname for Rahm Emanuel.
---
With the length of the Nike/Blazers scandal at the Parks&Rec Department, and with no one 'blowing the whistle' until the audit found the problem, is there anyone at the P&R Department who doesn't deserve scrutiny about their ongoing employment?
---
With the recent expose of the grants directed by Congressman Bishop which paid the salaries of his stepdaughter and her husband, and the plethora of scholarship monies that went to his family and friends, a vote for Bishop is a vote of acceptance of Congressional abuse of tax dollars.
---
L-E headline: "Georgia gubernatorial race: Barnes stresses education during visit to Columbus" -- Aside from the fact he had the opportunity to "stress education" when he WAS governor, but only 'stressed" the teachers, why would anyone 'feel', much less THINK, King Roy deserved another chance?
---
L-E headline: "Ruling strikes down part of Arizona Voter ID law" -- The 26th Amendment of the United States reads: "The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age." -- If the right to vote is limited to US citizens, how can a judge deny a state the ability to require proof of citizenship to register to vote? How can a city or state abridge the requirement to allow non-citizens a vote on any issue?
-------------------------------------

Online headline: "Mad Muppet Menacing Tourists in NYC's Times Square" -- Ooops, my bad! Thought Rahm Emanuel had shown up in NYC looking for campaign funds.
---
Online headline: "Why the Feds "Trickle Down Economics" is failing" -- Who says 'it's failing'? Certainly not potUS Imam-a, Pelosi or Reid and other "top DIMorats". Mainstream media just hasn't connected that the picture they are presenting is upside down, and the Imam-a/Pelosi/Reid "plan" has been 'Trickle Up Poverty'...which is working.
---
Online headline/story: "Goldman says Fed faces $4 trillion hole * Talk about shock and awe * ..skeptics of the Fed's firepower, and by now there are many, say the bigger problem is that the benefits of QE will simply be siphoned off by unfair traders such as China. They say the answer to our economic morass thus must come from the White House and Congress rather than from the Federal Reserve."China's yuan policy and trade barriers make the Fed nearly irrelevant," writes University of Maryland business professor Peter Morici." -- Well, if depending on the current White House/Senate/Congress has to 'the cure', we are incurable. Hurry November 2nd!
---
From the "ooops, I forgot I said that" department - Dec13, 2005 L-E article by Mark Rice on Mother Teresa Obamalinson/MidTown: "Tomlinson won't take a salary from MidTown. She said she wants as much money as possible to go toward MidTown's programs. * "It reduces the overhead, which is so important for a start-up organization," shesaid. "It's so difficult for any executive director to raise money when a large portion of that goes to their own salary." -- It's available on under "Latest Updates" on www.midtowncolumbusga.org
---
Pat McHenry wrote a letter concerning bicycle safety, and while he soft-peddled (or should I say "soft pedaled") his way around the issue of riding on sidewalks, it is, in fact AGAINST THE LAW for anyone over 12 to ride a bicycle on our sidewalks.
---
If the Fed can effect the economy in a positive manner, how come it hasn't worked before? Has the Fed not been trying until now?
---
L-E headline: "Delta defers order of 787s * Delta Air Lines said Monday that it will go ahead with orders for 18 of Boeing’s new 787-8 aircraft but will delay the first deliveries of those planes until 2020. * The airline said in an SEC filing that it worked out an agreement with Boeing to defer delivery of all 18 planes until 2022. * Northwest Airlines originally ordered the planes and Delta took on those orders when it bought Northwest in 2008. * Questions arose about whether Delta would follow through with the order as Boeing experienced numerous delays in getting the plane into test flights and production. * Northwest was scheduled to take delivery of the 787s between 2008 and 2010." -- Excuse me, but want 2008 technology be obsolete in 2020/22?
---
Once again, the "Legal Section" is the biggest section in the L-E; how about that "summer of Recovery"?
---
Something to think about: How can a former governor of a state, nicknamed "Moonbeam", be even considered a candidate, much less a contender, for anther term as governor? No, I'm not talking about 'King Roy' here in GA (but the situation is similar), but Jerry Brown in CA.

Online headline: "Nancy Pelosi Cites Reason for Political Attacks Against Her" -- Well, there goes the theory that 'she didn't have a clue'; what will be her excuse when she writes her memoirs?
---
Mentioned this yesterday, but it's back in the L-E today's "What to do": "GROSSOLOGY PARTY: Based on books like “Sweet Farts” and “The Day My Butt Went Psycho,” the North Columbus Public Library presents Body Parts & Farts 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. -- Exactly what our chidren need...NOT!
---
L-E "soundoff": "Since powerful growth hormones are given to beef cattle to increase weight and to milk cows to increase production, is it any wonder our children are grossly overweight? " -- Walt Kelly's "Pogo" was right! "We have met the enemy, and he is us."
---
I heard a woman on Fox News do a blurb on the outbreak of Cholera last night, and she pronounced it 'co-LERA', and she wasn't blonde!
---
L-E "headlie": " Gay voters’ anger at Dems could sway midterm election * Disappointed by inaction, some plan to sit out vote" -- What's going to sway the midterm elections is the bulk of voters who have been disappointed in the DIM/DUMBorats' ACTIONS!
---
There are 6 SEC teams in the AP Top 25. While it's not really unusual for 6 SEC teams be in 'the hunt', it's pretty unusual that Mississippi State is one of the 6, and UGA, Florida, and Ole Miss are not! Go, State, Go!
---
As usual, the L-E thinks that no business news was reported over the weekend.

Sunday, October 24, 2010

Online headline: "American al-Qaida Spokesman Urges Attacks in US" -- Bet he probably sent a large donation to Vivian Schiller at NPR for firing Juan Williams, too.
---
A fellow BCer makes a good point concerning the inane lawsuit filed by the family of one of the persons who died in that crash of a 23 year old van: If they're going to sue the manufacturer, then they ought to sue the UAW!
---
If the IRS can revoke a churches tax exempt status because a pastor expresses political views, then IRS should revoke the tax exempt status of NPR for firing an analyst for expressing his views.
---
I believe in the "Freedom of Information Act", but what WikiLeaks is doing is larcenous and treasonous, and the owner should be shut down and jailed immediately.
---
Remember when potUS Imam-a chastised people for frivolously going to Las Vegas during these times? Now he's camping out in Nevada himself...hypocrite!
---
Fox News constant euphoria over a Republican tsunami may backfire by making voters think it's 'in the bag'. The 'tsunami' won't happen if conservative voters stay home on election day.
---
From L-E story: "According to a statement from S. Scott Voynich, a certified public accountant for Robinson Grimes and Company, under the new accounting, MidTown receives contributions that are used beyond one year. An individual may pledge a donation to MidTown Inc. in 2007, but not actually give any money to the organization until 2008 or 2009." -- Told you the accountant's 'smoke and mirror' explanation was just that. "Pledges" are just that, and often used to justify claims even though pledges are not even "dunable", nor "collectable", much less accountable until actually received.
---
From the "you've got to be kidding me" department - L-E "What To Do": "BODY PARTS: Based on books like “Sweet Farts” and “The Day My Butt Went Psycho,” the North Columbus Public Library presents Body Parts & Farts 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday." -- Of all the things a library can do to encourage our youth, this is not one of the things I deem "appropriate".
---
Another item from the "you've got to be kidding me, too" department - L-E headline: "Portland, Maine, weighs letting noncitizens vote * Legal residents would get say in local matters" -- How can any state, much less a city, do something that cheapens the citizenship status of an American in the other 49 (56 if you live in the White House) states!
---
From the "what thuh..." department: "MAYOR’S AGENDA * PROCLAMATION: Nation of Islam Muhammad Mosque No. 96 Day" -- Talk about the need for separation of church and state! Why not designate September 11 as "the date", too?
---
From the City Manager's agenda: "PURCHASE OF WETLAND/ STREAMBANK CREDITS -It is requested that council approve payment to Upatoi Creek Mitigation Bank or Kolomoki Bank, in the amount of $941,180 for the purchase of Wetland/ Streambank Credits. -- Is this anything like Algore's "Carbon Credits"?
---
Is just me, or do you see the obvious bias of the mainstream media concerning reporting of T.E.A. Party rallies and DIM/DUMBorat rallies? Much mention is made of signage at T.E.A. Party rallies that the media deems as racist, but doesn't seem to have to present the visual evidence nor confirmational evidence. On the other hand, DIM/DUMBorat rallies will have the visual signage of “Socialists,” “Ohio U Democratic Socialists,” “International Socialists Organization,” “Socialist Party USA,” “Build A Socialist Alternative” et al expressing support for socialism and communism in plain view, and marchers identified as AFL-CIO, Service Employees International Union, Al Sharpton and organizations such as the NAACP, the National Council of La Raza, Green for All, the Sierra Club, and the Children’s Defense Fund, and the mainstream media doesn't consider it newsworthy.
---
There is a story in the L-E about a 'rescued' cat which had a broken leg fixed with $2,300.00 worth of surgery, and a woman who collected $1,800.00 in donations in aid. If this is suppose to be a story about animal compassion, how come the veterinarian who performed the surgery doing so 'pro bono', and the money raised used for some displaced persons organization?
---
When Mother Teresa Obamalinson 'dissed' the Tax Assessors office headed by Lula Huff, where was Edward Dubose and the Ministerial Alliance 16? I don't recall seeing them protesting outside the L-E or at a Council Meeting.
--------------------------------------

Saturday, October 23, 2010

L-E story: "A Montgomery law firm has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Chrysler on behalf of the family of a girl killed 15-passenger van crash in Blakely, Ga. earlier this month. * The complaint against the Chrysler Group, L.L.C., Chrysler Group Vans, L.L.C. and R&J Tire Co. Inc, alleges products liability, failure to warn, negligence and wantonness for the unsafe conditions of the van and the tire." -- Chrysler probably hadn't seen that van in 20 years, and what tire company/manufacturer is responsible for tires that are overloaded? This is why 99% of lawyers give the rest a bad reputation! I understand the family's loss and frustration, but any suit should be brought against the driver or the person who authorized the van to leave with too many people on board.
---
Another online story: A White Plains NT is suing Bumble Bee Tuna alleging mercury poisoning from eating 10 cans a week for two years even though health officials advise no one to eat more than 5 ozs per week of any large fish. This may be the reason the other 1% of lawyers start getting a bad reputation,
---
Out go the Yankees...yea! Couldn't help it but I haven't ever 'loved' the Yankees! You know, what if the Yankees had met the Braves in the World Series...would either team been able to win?
---
If Juan Williams had same the same statement on an NPR or PBS news show, he wouldn't have gotten fired because no one would have heard it!
---
potUS Imam-a has campaigned in Ohio 11 times recently, and is scheduled to go back on Halloween...talk about political "trick or tricking"!
---
Can't choose between whether its ironic or just a liberal ethic, but French Students are protesting the retirement age being raised to 62 when they haven't even gotten jobs.
---
XPOTUS Clinton says Republicans are banking on 'you' not thinking. Clinton's dead wrong! "WE" know no DIM/DUMBorat voters actually knows how to think about future effects when stepping into a voting booth.
---
Point to ponder: You'd think that Muslim jihadists and suicide bombers would be beginning to wonder if ALLAH has enough virgins left to give them any.
---
This year, I'm going to vote for the Libertarian candidate for PSC; I'm tired of GA Power running expensive ad campaigns on saving energy that add to the expenses GA Power presents to the PSC in order to get a rate increase.
---
L-E headline: "Obama trying to recapture Georgia Dems " -- Why? To prove there are people who will need his HELL-thScare mental health option, or is this some new 'endangered species' program?
---
Judy Thomas 'was' a Williams. An euphoric booster in the "Letters" section is a Williams; any connection that needs to be revealed?
---

Friday, October 22, 2010

From the " a most appropriate gift" department - Online headline: "Larry King Gives a Porta-Potty to Jon Stewart for Mall Rally" -- Don't you just love it when liberals 'eat their own'?
---
Comment on above: A personal "Think Tank"?
---
Another example: Juan Williams and NPR - Once again, liberals demonstrate they are the segment of society with the least amount of tolerance for freedom of thought and speech.
---
DIM/DUMB Maryland Senate candidate Chris Coons could not name the 5 freedoms guaranteed by the US Constitution......hmmm, like HELL-thScare, another document he hasn't read.
---
Senator Patty Murray of Washington (state) says she wrote the HELL-thScare Bull, but also says she didn't read it before voting for it....huh?
---
It's no coincidence that 90,000 Seattle-based Boeing employees are going to have to pay considerably more towards their healthcare program. Bet Senator Murray didn't read that handwriting on the wall, either.
---
Like Carter, XPOTUS Clinton admits he lost 'the biscuit' (nuclear launch code dongle)during the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Hmmm, I'll bet Hillary probably hid it where the sun don't shine.
---
In 2008, Oprah dubbed potUS Imam-a as "the One"; 2 years later, the rest of the country thinks of him as "#2".
---
Also in 2008, potUS Imam-a campaigned on "CHANGE"; 2 years later we are definitely ready for "CHANGE".
---
potUS Imam-a is going to campaign with Pelosi, Boxer and Reid; why don't they just resign from their races with dignity?
---
Rumor has it that all the networks will air the movie, "An Inconvenient Truth" on election eve, and the trailer will show DIM/DUMBorats voting for HELL-thScare, TARP, and Cap n' Trade.
---
Listening to the contraindications in an ad for the drug "Enbrel", I cannot but wonder hoe "Enbrel" received FDA approval.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “You can fool too many of the people too much of the time.” — James Thurber, American humorist (1894-1961). -- Ah, the secret credo of the DIM/DUMBorat Party has been exposed! If DIM/DUMBs receive any votes other than their own, Thurber's observation remains valid.
---
L-E "soundoff": "Thank you Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg for standing up to a mindless tyrant like Bill O’Reilly." -- Actually, all that was revealed was the confirmation that liberals cannot carry on a discussion of different ideas without cursing and rudeness.
---
L-E story: "SEATTLE — In a last-ditch effort to prevent electoral disaster, President Barack Obama and Democratic allies are vigorously wooing women voters, whose usually reliable support appears to have softened." -- Women should be indignant! Indignant that the DIM/DUMBs don't give them credit for knowing what's going on in the world.
---
L-E story: "BAGHDAD — American influence has so dwindled in Iraq over the last several months that Iraqi lawmakers and political leaders say they no longer follow Washington’s advice for forming a government." -- DOH! Why would any government want to base itself on the model portrayed by potUS Imam-a and the DIM/DUMB Congress?
-----------------------------------------

Thursday, October 21, 2010

Online story:"Ethanol is supposed to be a clean bio-fuel that helps reduce our dependence on foreign oil. It's primarily produced from domestically grown corn. So why is it so controversial? * Vehicles built in 2007 or later have an oxygen sensor that adjusts the combustion and protects the catalyst. Not so with older cars. A car with a damaged catalytic converter can be a serious polluter" -- No wonder Algore is laying low; ethanol may be even a bigger polluter than the methane he's been spewing out for years!
---
If Nancy Pelosi is so sure that "spreading the wealth" is the 'cure-all' for the economy, why doesn't she start with spreading her considerable wealth first to prove it?
---
If potUS Imam-a feels it necessary to go campaign for DIM/DUMBorats on the Left Coast. either the DIM/DUMBS are in worse shape than anyone thinks or it's the only place he thinks the DIM/DUMBs can win with his presence.
---
"Toll Takers" in New Jersey received "bonuses" in the neighborhood of $30 Million last year. Other than a union bribe, on what basis could you think of giving "toll takers' a bonus?
---
Have you noticed that when casinos advertise, they act as if they are thriled to let you win their money. Me thinks it sounds a little bit like Br'er Rabbit begging not to be thrown into the briar patch.
---
Washington, D.C. schools are now feeding supper to students after school. What does this teach children about their responsibilities as a parent when they grow up? Also, how can this not increase the likelihood of the children becoming obese; isn't it probable most will eat more when they go hoe?
---
Why is it that some of our Councilors, particularly District 7's, think applying for grants is 'the answer' for revenue shortfalls? "The answer" is cutting spending.
---
From the "what's wrong with this picture" department - L-E story: " Renee Pass’ 3-year-old grandson loves animals, so when a friend gave her two puppies, she gave him one. * He played with the puppy, a black pitbull-boxer mix, all morning Sunday, she said," -- Doh!
---
From the "there's a lot more truth in it" department - L-E "soundoff": "The reason “Jackass” made more than the family film “Secretariat” is because no one can afford to take their whole family to the movies anymore. " -- Are you listening, Carmike? Perhaps a "family pass" might be a solution along with a "family pack" drink/popcorn special?
---
L-E headline: "GAMES, EDUCATION, MODELING AND SIMULATION INSTITUTE
CSU gets $1.6M grant to establish institute " -- And it just so happens that Sanford Bishop takes credit for dispensing our tax dollars as a just-before-election-date earmark.
---
Another L-E headline/story: "Columbus Tech gets $453,000 federal grant * Columbus Technical College has received a $453,000 federal grant intended to help the school serve low- and middle-income students." -- Another just-before-election-date earmark, but it isn't attributed to Bishop, so it must have been initiated by an unnamed non-Dim/DUMBorat.
---
Bruce Huff had me until he said his 'favorite place" in Columbus is Golden Park. 30 years ago, yes, but we have better, much better...

Wednesday, October 20, 2010

Since it's being used as a bludgeon for Christine O'Donnell, thought I'd remind all of the wording of the 1st Amendment of the our Constitution: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." --Our forefathers deemed it important that the Federal Government not be able to do as England had done. Same as it's why we are 'presumed innocent' until found guilty in a court of law. In England, when you're charged with a crime, you are "presumed guilty" until proven otherwise.
---
potUS Imam-a says DIM/DUMBorats won't do well in the November elections BECAUSE the voters are scared. Then he say the Republicans are causing this scare. WRONG! The voters are just scared of what 2 more consecutive years of DIM/DUMB control of Washington will do to our country.
---
The housing industry suffered it's worst summer in the last 10 years. Looks like potUS Imam-a's "Summer of Recovery" plans are working for him.
---
Online headline: "Want to Rent Ralph Lauren's Personal Villa? You Can for $150K" -- Sounds like a personal ad from Craig's List appealing to potUS Imam-a for his next vacation bungalow.
---
Online headline: "Google Will Digitize the Complete Dead Sea Scrolls" -- Ooops, my bad. Thought Google had got its hands on BP's interoffice memos.
---
From L-E story: " (Mimi) Woodson said the city’s already working on facilitating alternative transportation needs such as sidewalks and bike paths, connecting sidewalks to the Chattahoochee Riverwalk, requiring developers to install sidewalks in new subdivisions, and enabling bicyclists to use sidewalks to get out of the street." -- What planet is Woodson from? A couple of weeks ago she proclaimed the disciplinary firing of Tony Adams was a "public lynching", and now she proclaims she's working on allowing bicyclists to use sidewalks. It's against GA Law to ride bicycles on sidewalks if you are over 12, and it's a good law. Unfortunately. it's not enforced properly.
---
L-E headline: "REP. BISHOP FIGHTING TO KEEP POLITICAL CAREER ALIVE * Recent allegations put nine-term congressman in tight race with Keown" -- "Allegations"? It's public record on the scholarships, but what was not reported in the L-E previously (though it was in the Albany Herald), that in addition to the scholarships his family members received, three of his spouse's employees children also got the scholarships.
---
From a L-E story: "Asked about his wife’s role in his field office, (Congressman) Bishop responded, “Vivian is just a spouse.” -- Guess this 'blue dog DIMorat" is may have another "House" in his future; he's going to find himself in the "blue doghouse"!
---
A L-E "soundoff": " I went to a cheerleading competition and have never been more proud of Columbus squads. Hardaway, Shaw and Columbus showed outstanding support for each other. Columbus should take pride in what our schools are teaching." -- Arrggghhhh! Like there is such a career path for cheerleading.

When you receive a "Lifetime Achievement Award", does it mean your lifetime is over? Congrats, Alton!!

If Council thinks that lifting the tax freeze is such a good idea, then Council needs to approach the idea with a different approach other than that of a grandiose vision of a huge windfall. Put the assessment office on the spot to make sure every property is properly "valued" first, then freeze the current revenue receipts for a two year period while 'the dust settles' during a re-allocation period in which every property is reassessed to it's 'fair share' percentage of property taxes, A lot of newer houses/recent sales will get reductions as older properties get upward adjustments. The caveat will be that older neighborhood, fixed-income property owners will be hit harder, especially in South Columbus.

Group hug for Dot McClure....
---
L-E headline: "Thurmond: No. 1 priority is job creation" -- The head of GA's Department of Labor when unemployment and job losses have skyrocketed thinks he can create jobs as a Senator? Maybe the next Governor should just eliminate the job Thurmond is vacating, and distribute the salary to unemployment benefits.
---
Today is the 2-week mark from the November 2010 election date. From past experiences, this is the traditional date for some DIM/DUMBorat political chicanery.
---
Online headline: "Viacom's 'Jackass' Franchise Makes Triumphant Return" -- Ooops, my bad... thought Sumner Redstone had taken over active control again.
---
With 70% of the last "LOST" revenues pledged to "Public Safety" adding a low of $20+ Million per year being available for "Public Safety", there shouldn't be problems with making sure our "Public Safety" departments are well-funded. That is, if the Mayor and Council don't divert those funds to other projects such as programs best served by Parks and Recreation. Of course, under recent disclosures, maybe Parks & Rec should be put directly under Chief Boren.
---
If Roy Barnes' record from his past term were good enough to run on in this election, why wasn't he re-elected following his term as Governor?
---
What ever Barnes says about Deal, remember that Deal stands by his family in tough times, and it's been obvious that Deal did not go to Washington and stuff his pockets with personal wealth. Name another Congressman that can say that.
---
The Mayor brought in the Tampa, FL Police Chief; excerpts include:
"Officers must find out what the problems are in their area and fix them. We tell the members of a neighborhood that they are our eyes and ears. They are the ones who know what the problems are in the community,” Castor said. * She said Tampa police keep residents in the neighborhoods informed by e-mail about crime happening in their area." -- Why doesn't the CPD have a website with a pin map of recent crimes that citizens can note regarding areas close to their homes? Why doesn't the L-E publish a listing of crimes daily?
*
"Each district has an analyst to provide daily intelligence to officers. The analysts provide a daily report that identifies when particular crimes are occurring, how and where they are being committed and who the likely offenders are." -- The basic tools of good police work..."profiling". Hmmm, that'll go over well with trial attorneys and other liberals; and especially, Edward DuBose!
---
L-E headline: "Obama stumps for Senate candidates * President laments damage economy has done to Dems" -- Actually, 'stumps' is all the DIM/DUMBorats have left, and while potUS Imam-a thinks the economy has damaged the DIM/DUMB party, the voters see how the DIM/DUMBs have nearly annihilated the USA!

This'll drive the Algore & the green wackos nuts: Even if all the cars in the US became "electric" tomorrow, we'd still need more oil and coal and nuclear powered plants to manufacture all the extra electricity to recharge the car batteries.
---
From a fellow BCer: "Obama says we can't afford to put it in reverse and go back to what we were doing before he was elected. Seems to me that being a few trillion dollars less in debt would be a good thing. I for one would like to go back and save my grandchildren a few trillion dollars." -- Well said!
---
Have you seen the pretty slick ads being run by Carol Porter? Based on having 4 sons who have attained "Eagle Scout" status, if she was running for "Mother of the Year/Decade" I'd definitely consider voting for her. As it is, she running for Lt Governor of GA, and she has purposefully omitted a pertinent detail from her ads...she's a DIM/DUMBorat, but either too smart or too embarrassed to mention it.
---
Another member of the potUS Imam-a "economic team" is abandoning the 'Obama-tanic'. Unfortunately........ he's going back to "teaching" his concepts at Princeton.
---
What does it say when XPOTUS Clinton shows up to campaign for various DIM/DUMBorat candidates? It says that particular DIM/DUMB has no ideas to campaign on, and doesn't want to be seen with potUS Imam-a.
---
L-E "soundoff": " If Republicans had their way Social Security would be privatized and funds would have fallen like the stock market. Stop whining about no increase. It’s based on the inflation rate. " -- Well, I'll bet the stock market will recover faster with more conservatives in Congress than this country will under 2 more years of complete DIM/DUMBorat rule.
---
Rock and roll icon Chuck Berry is 84 today. I honestly didn't think he was still with us. Rock on, Chuck!
---
Glad I'm not having to make a choice in the District 8 race for the MCSD post; "neither" is not an option.
---
Looks like Mike Huckabee may have 'the skeleton' in his closet that clobbered Michael "Where's Willie (Horton)?" Dukakis in the 1988 election.
---
The current DIM/DUMBorat Congress's effect on the economy is akin a former DIM/DUMBorat Congress's setting the nation's top speed limit at 55 MPH. As in that case, it took the first Republican Congress in over 40 years to raise the speed limits back to 65/70. It'll take a Republican/Conservative Congress to take the 'DIM/DUMBs' parking/tire boot' off the economy, too.
---
L-E headline: "Top U.S. charities see billions less in donations * Giving drops 11 percent, worst decline in 20 years" -- And who says electing a DIM/DUMBorat controlled government is a victimless crime?

Sunday, October 17, 2010

Passed on by a fellow BCer: "Quote from Peter Schmuck, a Baltimore sports writer, concerning the indictment of Roger Clemens. " Isn't it great to live in a society where the penalty for lying to a congressman can be up to 30 years in jail, but the penalty for a congressman lying to you is another two years in office. "
---
L-E headline: "Georgia voters must decide Nov. 2 to pay $10 a year for upgraded trauma care statewide" -- Wrong! GA voters who own cars must decide whether to be "whipping boys" to for the state's politicians, hospitals, and insurance companies.
---
A forum to draft a "10 year plan to end homelessness".... While extenuating circumstances such as mental health or economic tsunamis certainly contribute to some people's plight, most 'plights' have to do with the making of bad choices: Overuse of credit cards, taking on too much house debt, or other lifestyle/substance abuse choices that no amount of advice/talk will ever eliminate from reoccurring. While it's true private and public resources are exhausted, adding another 'feel good, "even though its only talking, I'm doing something about it" liberal response' to make liberals feel better. 10 years from now, it will only be another avenue of exhaustion, and another "10 Year Plan" will be discussed.
---
From a story in the L-E: Once again, scientists are claiming that 'the curve ball' that 'drops off the table' is a mirage. Obviously, you are thinking that those scientists never faced a curve ball with a bat in their hands... of course, it may be that the scientists did face a curve ball, and that's why they are scientists and not baseball players. It also explains why scientist often claim there is no such thing as God.
---
How can the L-E not print the results of the Mississippi State victory over Florida or Kentucky upsetting South Carolina on the front page of the Sports Section? With or without Spurrier, every Florida loss is good news to most of the South, and what else can I add about any victory over Spurrier.......

Saturday, October 16, 2010

Online headline: "Bull Riding in Times Square" -- Ooops, my bad! Thought a bunch of DIM/DUMBorats were pointing fingers of blame at each other.
---
L-E story: "About $205,000 in cash and checks moved through a bank account Adams and Porter opened at Columbus Bank & Trust, Deaton said. It was under the name of the Columbus Blazers Athletic Program and used the city tax exemption number. The money moved through the account between 2005-2010." -- This is a real story that demands the CB&T executive who opened the account be named and explain why he did so without the Columbus Council's, Finance Director's, or City Manger's being contacted for approval.
---
From the 'wish I'd thought of it first' department: A fellow BCer has mentioned a new name for our Capital, WASTington, DC.
---
Online headline: "Fed Is Preparing to Give Economy Boost, Bernanke Says" -- Ooops, my bad! Thought the government was going to shut completely down until a new Congress is sworn in January.
---
Online headline: "Federal Budget Deficit Exceeds $1 Trillion * For the second year in a row, deficit topped that watermark. "-- Who's he going to blame? Bush is not the President, and the Congress is overweighted with DIM/DUMBorats.
---
There's only one way to stop the downhill movement of the economy and country as a whole; know your candidates, even in non-partisan elections, and vote against every liberal candidate...especially judges!
---
L-E story: "SAN FRANCISCO — Attorney General Eric Holder says the federal government will enforce its marijuana laws in California even if voters next month make the state the first in the nation to legalize the drug. * “We will vigorously enforce the CSA (Controlled Substance Act) against those individuals and organizations that possess, manufacture or distribute marijuana for recreational use, even if such activities are permitted under state law,” Holder wrote." -- Huh? Didn't Holder's boss, potUS Imam-a, just tell some college kids 'we' don't have the resource to worry about individual users?
---
There are a couple of finance companies on Broadway that may get unintended reactions to their seasonal decorations.. is that some comical Halloween 'mummy' on the door, or a warning to customers of their fate if they are late with a payment?
------------------------------------

Friday, October 15, 2010

Can you believe the bigoted headline on the L-E this morning. The L-E will say it was a McClatchy editorial, but the L-E chose to run it on the front page, so the L-E shares the same bigotry. Of course block votes are important! All votes no matter what race, what religion or whatever divisive categoration the L-E/McClatchy organization wants to portray as a victim, are important. Shame on the L-E. A public lashing is appropriate!
---
Online headline: "Oops! Obama Offends DEA in Drug War Comments" -- Guess the Biden-effect has rubbed-off...
---
from a fellow BCer (and Tech fan): Did you know the U of GA is working its dead level best to help with the US economic stimulus package to get us out of this hole? They just added a parole and probation officer to the coaching staff.
---
At this point of the election cycle, any incumbent without a 50+% poll lead is in more trouble than he/she thinks he/she is.
---
God bless the family of Lance Cpl. Raymon Johnson.......
---
L-E headline/story: "China shaken by premier’s calls for reform * “The people’s wishes for and needs for democracy and freedom are irresistible,” he told CNN. * Wen, 68, is China’s No. 3 leader" -- Little did we know that the people of China and the USA have the same political goal in 2010!
---
King Roy...you shouldn't throw 'stones'; they tend to bounce back at you.
---
potUS Imam-a finally got something right when he admitted there were no shovel-ready jobs he claimed, but there is a need for every voter to have a shovel. We need one to shovel off the DIM/DUMB "BS" that covers the path to the voting polls!
--------

Thursday, October 14, 2010

Online headline: "Small Business Administration Redefines 'Small Business' -- Hmmm, bet most were 'large businesses' when potUS Imam-a was sworn in.
---
The Chilean Mine rescue...what an uplifting story of human perseverance and humanity. Aren't we thankful potUS Imam-a and BP weren't in charge like the oil spill disaster!
---
Of note is the that it was American technology and ingenuity that made the drilling of the escape route possible. Why want potUS Imam-a and the DIM/DUMBorat Congress let this same skill be put in action in drilling in our major oil reserve sites?
---
Did you notice, also, that Chilean President Pinera was there to welcome each miner to the surface, and there wasn't a single TelePrompter on site to tell him what to say?
---
Online headline: "50 States Launch Foreclosure Probe" -- Ooops, my bad. Thought a comprehensive poll concerning foreclosure on the DIM/DUMB controlled House in Washington was released.
---
Why do MCSD teachers who live outside of Muscogee County get local pay supplements? Police/Deputies who live outside the county do not get to take their vehicles to their homes (and rightfully so).
---
Online headline: "Schwarzenegger Endorses Crist's Senate Bid" -- So, the governor of the worst run state in the country endorses Charlie Crist for Florida's US Senate race... hmmm, wonder how much Rubio had to pay 'the Arnold' to do that?
---
You can count on one thing: I will not buy a cell phone that operates on Microsoft Windows 7 software; I get enough 'dropped calls' as it is, and surely don't want to have my cell phone 'crash' altogether!
---
Online headline: "San Francisco Declares War on Happy Meals" --Guess San Francisco is trying to one-up NYC's attempt to ban smoking in Central Park.
---
What's this concern, false as it may be, of potUS Imam-a and Co. being alarmed about foreign donations? As I recall, no DIM/DUMBs were concerned about the millions of Chinese dollars funneled through Charlie Trie in the Clinton campaigns.
---
It's embarrassing, as well as revealing, that potUS Imam-a himself resorts to throwing the race card to spur liberal voters to vote. Guess that's what he has to do since Rahm Emanuel has abandoned ship, too.
---
Ol' Roy claims he 'created' 235,000 jobs when he was governor years back. That was during the mortgage/housing industries 'ballooning years'. How many of those jobs still exist?
---
I don't know what was more upsetting...Wayne Anthony's accusation of Mother Teresa Obamalinson's MidTown operation, or her accountant's smoke and mirror explanations.
---
L-E headline: "Residents oppose moving fraternity house to Steam Mill Road * Resident claims moving frat house will affect property values, create more noise" -- Gimme a break! Omega Psi Phi Fraternity is not a college fraternity akin to "Animal House"!
---
L-E story: "SIDNEY CENTER, N.Y. — The lawyer for a Muslim community in upstate New York says the local government is dropping plans to take legal action to force the Muslims to shut their tiny graveyard. * Hass has said anti-Islamic bigotry motivated a town board vote to try to shut down the cemetery." -- Isn't what's good for the gander good also for the goose? This is the best example of Muslim bigotry for wanting to build the 'Hamas-que' at the burial ground of 3,000 killed at Ground Zero.
-------------------------------

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

Online headline: "Military-Grade Explosives Found at NYC Cemetery" -- Ooops, my bad! Thought potUS Imam-a was going to blame Bush for trying to stop a DIM/DUMBorat voter registration process.
---
Online headline: "NFL Looking Into Brett Favre Sexting Allegations" -- Hmmm, seems Favre is having trouble completing any kind of 'pass' this season.
---
L-E headline: "Muscogee school system again looking to buy student information system in wake of July hardware crash that doomed previous one" -- Arrggghhhh! Typical academia reaction; the number one choice of unknown brands of software crashes so they jump into bed with a system the board didn't think worthy the first time around.
---
Now that he's a candidate for public office, I hope someone asks Mark Cantrell how much he takes in salary/expenses from his St Jude's House Raffle et al.
---
L-E headline: "With Stolen Valor Act facing court tests, locals weigh in on whether those who lie about receiving medals should be punished" -- Maybe a year in jail isn't appropriate; it should be more like a public lashing!
---
L-E headline: "Columbus Council to examine possibility of acquiring surplus Fort Benning railroad corridor for 'linear park' " -- Give these folks a slush fund, and they think everything fits into Public Safety or Infrastructure! Council has no idea of what the current bicycle trail is going to cost in upkeep, and Council wants to expand wothout knowing all the facts. Tsk, tsk.
---
Online headline: "Obama's 'enemies list'...Who's on it" -- Why isn't the media reacting to this like the media did when it was revealed that Nixon had an "enemies list"?
---
Once again there will be no Social Security increases because 'there's no sign of inflation'.. tell that to my drug manufacturer who's cost increases have driven the drug I take daily from $63.00 to $102.00 in less than 2 years.
---
L-E headline: "Man arrested after streaking at Obama rally " -- Ooops, my bad! Thought maybe another of potUS Imam-a's "economic team" had deserted with everything he owned.
---
L-E story: "WASHINGTON — Top forecasters say the economy will grow this year and next at a slower pace than previously thought, weakened by governments and consumers spending less so they can pay down debt." -- Now you can see why all of potUS Imam-a's 'economic team' are abandoning ship.
---
Once again, the largest section of the Tuesday L-E is the "foreclosure" section.
---

Monday, October 11, 2010

Online headline: "NY Republican Gov. Candidate Makes Anti-Gay Remarks" -- Meanwhile in California, the DIM/DUMB candidate, Jerry Brown's caustic description of his opponent being a "whore" is ho-hummed by media and gets him an endorsement from the National Organization of Women. Have they no shame?
---
The L-E article featuring advice from former Mayors of Columbus was one of the better stories of political insight that's been aired in Columbus...ever..especially considering Chitwood put it together, and didn't try to trivialize it. The common thread was that each spoke from the heart about the future direction rather than trying to appeal to any one group for their vote today. Too bad some of these folks aren't running for Mayor this year.
---
L-E headline: "Miners argue about order * Confident of escape, they bicker over who gets to be last one out" -- My bet is the one who's wife and girlfriend met during the early days of the cave-in.
---
"Ooops!" is probably not the word either Bobby Cox or Brooks Conrad muttered under their breaths when a routine ground-out went between Conrad's legs in the top of the ninth inning.
---
Hmmm, wouldn't wanna be "Ole Miss" this weekend playing Alabama.
---
Hmmm, you'd need a second copy of the print L-E to line your bird cage this AM, and wrapping crappies just ain't gonna make it even with two copies.

10-10-10

Online "headlie": "Why a GOP Win Could Be Good for Obama" -- Correction: Why a GOP win will be good for America!
---
I congratulate the L-E for its examining article on the van rollover that recently took 4 lives and injured the other 15. Usually the L-E policy avoids anything regarding personal responsibility, and only Chuck Williams has the tact and grit to write it for them.
---
Online headline: "Obama Slams Republicans for Education Spending Cuts" -- Huh? Congress is overwhelmingly DIM/DUMBorat yet hasn't even passed a budget for this year, and potUS Imam-a is blaming Republicans for cutting something that doesn't even exist!
---
It was a great parade in UPtown yesterday. Even the mayor got in on the action, though it was unusual for a mayor not running for re-election to be tossing out "the traditional political (candy) corn".
---
Seems there's only one undefeated SEC team in Alabama this morning....
---
From the "Huh/" department: "FONTANA, Calif. — Kyle Busch took advantage of two poor pit stops by Kevin Harvick’s crew and rallied from a speeding penalty for his record-extending 12th Nationwide Series victory of the year Saturday at Auto Club Speedway." -- "Speeding penalty"...at a car race?
---
Looks like the real voting issue in November is whether you think "Trickle Up Poverty" is an economic plan worth continuing.
---
Froma Harrop....like her rantings, even her name sounds like the noise of a camel's relief from a gaseous buildup.
---

Saturday, October 9, 2010

Online headline/story: "Police Raid Wrong Home, Frighten Elderly Couple * The men who burst into the home reportedly were members of the Cook County Sheriff's Police Gang Crimes Unit, executing a search warrant for guns and narcotics." -- Ooops, my bad. Thought this was about Rahm Emanuel's new voter registration or the nearly dead.
---
Online headline: "FDIC targets failed bank execs with legal action" -- The FDIC and US bankers ought to be suing Congress's Banking committees, specifically Rep Barney Frank and Senator Christopher Dodd, so the American taxpayer will get relief and revenge!
---
With the early voting option as it is, shouldn't there be some sort of control over the start of early voting. As it is, people can register to vote after voting starts. There's just something wrong about that.
---
King Roy....don't you wonder what he's "king of"...from his political ads, BS would be my guess.
---
Speaking of Ol' Roy, he does spell his name BarneS.
---
Don't you worry about a politician who's proud to run on being a banker/attorney, but omits he's a DIM/DUMBorat, and avoids his party's leader when he comes to our state?
---
I'm beginning to wonder which is the worse attribute of drivers using cell phones: those distracted so they don't see the light change to red and can't stop, or those who are talking and do not notice that the light has turned green?
---
This is one for the City Engineer: heading south on Veterans and making a left at 23rd St, you can only do so on a green arrow. I guess it's because of a limited sight situation, yet if you are on 23rd St, you can make a right hand turn on red even though you have less visibility of northbound Veterans Parkway traffic.
---
Happy birthday in Iraq, Mark!
---
L-E headline: "Bleak news for Democrats in jobs report " -- What the headline should have been: "Democrats bleak news for jobs report".
---
A L-E "soundoff": "They're just guidelines * Who believes campaign promises? If it were up to one person, most would be kept, but our government isn't structured like that. They're more a guideline of what the candidate will try to do." -- Wonder which DIM/DUMBorats candidate sent this in! Maybe Machiavelli ?
---
L-E associated stories: "ATHENS — Call it fowl play. A poultry bandit stole “Big Zach,” the 15-foot tall inflatable mascot for Zaxby’s restaurants, this week from the front lawn of a University of Georgia building. The mascot disappeared sometime between 11:30 p.m. Monday and 4:30 a.m. Tuesday." and "ATHENS — A University of Georgia fraternity has been suspended, the third time a chapter has been suspended this year. " -- Coincidence?
---
L-E headline/story: "Obama signs technology access bill for disabled * Blind and deaf people will be able to more easily use smart phones" -- Braille keyboards and touch screens? How many trillions will this add to our cell phone bills?
---
L-E headline/story: "National security adviser resigns * (General James) Jones will be replaced by his chief deputy, Tom Donilon, a former Democratic political operative and lobbyist who in many ways is already the day-to-day leader of the White House national security operation." -- Huh? I thought potUS Imam-a promised to keep lobbyists out of the White House....
-----------------

Friday, October 8, 2010

Online story: "DETROIT (Oct. 7) -- A federal judge on Thursday upheld the authority of the federal government to require everyone to have health insurance, dealing a setback to groups seeking to block the new national health care plan." -- This is an issue that should proceed directly to the US Supreme Court. The issue should not be about required health insurance, but personal responsibilities or the individual, the medical field, and to what extent the state and federal governments want to treat those who are not individually responsible.
---
Online headline: "Refusal to Pledge Allegiance Lands Lawyer in Jail" -- Ooops, my bad. Thought potUS Imama's past had caught up with him.
---
Good ol' Sanford Bishop.... blames his wife for everything...reminds me of Sgt Schultz of "I don't know nothing" fame.
---
Mother Teresa Obamalinson ads sound like they were produced by potUS Imam-a's campaign ad team. She tells you things that you think you want to hear, but nothing specific. Taxes are not 'investments'; taxes are taxes!
---
potUS Imam-a is complaining that the National Chamber of Commerce is trying (seemingly successfully, I might add) to sway voters against him. Funny, potUS Imam-a did not complain about the SEIU or ACORN doing the same thing for him.
---
Guess the ad market is tough. Looks like some former political ad makers have turned to private industry for jobs. Saw an ad last night that said "Hostess Muffins" are a healthy food choice.
---
L-E headline/story: "Rescuers: Drill may reach miners by Saturday * Sanchez said families have been told that each miner will be allowed to have three relatives present when they are pulled to the surface" -- Bet one of those miners has second thoughts about coming up...remember the one that both his wife and mistress showed up carrying a large picture of him?
---

Thursday, October 7, 2010

Online headline/story: "Study: Neanderthals Didn't Always Act Like Cavemen * Using modern innovations, including neuro-imaging, researchers found that groups of the extinct species living in Europe as long as 500,000 years ago routinely cared for the least capable in their midst" -- Hmmm...wonder if "liberal Neanderthals" would have campaigned for "Save the Caveman" when they heard about 'extinction'?
---
There are several "basic wrongs" in our local elections this year: 1 - A sitting Mayor should not endorse any candidate for a local government election, 2 - a person who is employed by the local government should not be allowed to run for a Council seat where he/she would have direct influence over her salary & benefits, and 3 - educators, whether active or retired, should not be eligible to run for a School Board seat. The School Board needs input from those with business backgrounds to balance the wants and needs of the school system with the needs and wants of the taxpayers in general.
---
Online headline: "Democrats Try to Fire Up Stoner Vote" -- Ooops, my bad! Thought ACORN was back and signing up illegal alien Irani terrorist to vote.
---
Online headline: "Calif. Lawmakers Call for Foreclosure Investigation" -- Ooops, my bad. Thought California was legally tanking.... hmmm, probably is an idea in which its time has come. Maybe we can sell it back to Mexico, then fence it off from the rest of the states?????
---
When you think about it, VPOTUS Biden-Biden makes X-VPOTUS Quayle look and sound like a distinguished linguist.
---
Retired Senator Mondale (Remember: "Gritz and Fritz Give Me the SH--Z") really nailed potUS Imam-a when he said Imam-a should get rid of the 'idiot boards' (TelePrompters) because they cause a 'disconnect' with the voters. Fritz got that right, potUS Imam-a is totally disconnected from the voters...even those who elected him.
---
A fellow BCer's comment concerning potUS Imam-a's desire to push 'CHANGE', even when it's destructive summed up our nation's dilemma...initiating "CHANGE" to a wheel by making it square doesn't improve the wheel.
---
Online headline: "US Private Sector Cuts 39,000 Jobs" -- Want a real economic indicator or would you like to hear how Robert Gibbs spins it?
---
L-E headline/story: "Bishop denies steering funds for scholarships * Congressman says his wife had a role in selection process * “Let’s just say that the selections were made,” Bishop said. “She had a role in the selection process. And, you know, it was unfortunate that the process allowed the family members to be awarded scholarships.” -- Hollywood couldn't right a worse script! There were 7 scholarships awarded to his relatives, his aide, and the children of employees of his wife. If Bishop can say (with a straight face)
that he, like Sgt Schultz, 'don't know nothing', then he doesn't need to be representing anyone in Washington.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “If your contribution has been vital there will always be somebody to pick up where you left off, and that will be your claim to immortality.” — Walter Gropius, German-American architect (1883-1969). -- Well, obviously, no one wants to 'pick up' what the DIM/DUMBorats are leaving us with....
---
L-E headline: " Man who dismembered stepfather gets set free * Psychiatrist who declared man mentally ill now says it was just a drug problem" -- Sounds more like the Psychiatrist has a mental and drug problem!
---
L-E headline: "Scooter riders seek more parking space at UGA " -- DOH! Shouldn't 'scooters' need LESS space for parking?
---
ICE announced it had deported about 393,000 illegal alien criminals in the last year. What they didn't say is how many were back within days.
---
L-E headline: "Program to boost security at military bases " -- Like what... build a fence around them or send them 30 National Guardsmen?
---
L-E headline: "HBO documentary sheds light on Springsteen’s ‘Darkness’" -- Hmmm.. I think Springsteen has shed plenty of light on his own darkness by his political rantings of the past few years..
---------------------

Wednesday, October 6, 2010

L-E headline: "Columbus man indicted in killing of pregnant wife" -- Ooops, my bad! Thought the DA had finally moved on Michael Curry.
---
XPOTUS Clinton has been sighted hanging out with Barney Frank's campaign, and most DIM/DUMBorats have been avoiding potUS Imam-a like the plague, but where is Algore? Surely those voting for 'cap & trade' would want to remind their constituents of who their leader is? Maybe, not...not even those in Florida.
---
Last year, potUS Imam-a's Department of Justice overruled the Kinston, NC board of elections attempt to make all local elections "non-partisan" because if candidates didn't have "Democrat" besides their names, 'blacks wouldn't know who to vote for'. Strange how fortunes can change in a year. Now, no DIM/DUMBorat wants to be associated with being a Democrat! Heh heh heh
---
Mike Keown's campaigner has resigned because of his involvement in the Alabama Casino/electronic gambling scandal. Of course, it's only because his current boss ia a Republican, DIM/DUMBorat Bishop would have just laughed about it and given another family member another scholarship.
---
Sanford Bishop is spending more time, more 'earmarks', and more ad money in Columbus than I can ever remember. If you haven't considered a donation to Mike Keown, now may be a great time to do so; Bishop is vulnerable... rightfully vulnerable!
---
Did you know that New Yorkers pay $11 or more for a pack of cigarettes? Since most of that is in taxes, it does make one wonder how Mayor Bloomburg (or the Feds, too) can try to stop people from smoking at all!

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

Well, it may not be the first time, but Section C in today's L-E was bigger than either Sections A or B. Whoa! This is not congratulatory... Tuesday's Section C is the "Legals" and reports all the foreclosure notices. So much for potUS Imam-a's "Summer of Recovery". Hurry November!!!

Online headline: "Images Show Planned Design of NY Islamic Center * Will the architecture of the "ground zero mosque" be so modern that it will temper controversy over the project?" -- It's architecture might temper controversy? The mere thought of it has created chaos!
---
L-E headline/story: "High court upholds Columbus murder conviction * Branchfield appealed to the high court, arguing that not enough evidence existed for her to be found guilty, that the judge should have granted a mistrial and that the judge made mistakes when telling jurors the law. * All the justices disagreed and found that no error had occurred, a Monday opinion states." -- Another case of 99% of lawyers giving the rest a bad reputation! When all the GA Supreme Court Justices agree against an appeal. the filing lawyer should be held responsible for wasting the time and tax dollars of the state, be made to return any client or tax dollars he/she received as fees, and have his/her name & picture published on the front page so self-respecting citizen would hire him/her!
---
I just got a brochure from GA Power Co announcing they were going to be installing new "Smart Meters" real soon and how much more efficient GA Power Co. will become by not having meter readers. Hmmm, does that mean GA Power Co. is going to send in a request for a rate reduction. Yeah, right!
---
Online headline/story: "School must oblige transgender 6th-grader * The Maine Human Rights Commission recently ruled that Orono Middle School erred by assigning a separate bathroom to the boy, who wants to live as a girl. * The decision comes after the child's parents filed a complaint with the Commission, claiming their son -- who no longer attends school in the district -- experienced anxiety and depression during the 2008-2009 school year. The panel also made a similar ruling against the elementary school that the child had attended." -- now this is a perfect example of parents who should have their parental rights dissolved and both be neutered to prevent it ever happening again!
---
Hmmm, Rahm Emanuel wants to be Mayor of Chicago.... After seeing him in action under potUS Imam-a, maybe, just maybe, the 'dead' Chicago voters will boycott the next election.
---
I'm beginning to believe that the only way to stop early morning crime is to have all businesses close at midnight, and if there is a crime between midnight and 4:00 AM, then arrest the perp for the crime, and the victim for stupidity.
---
L-E story: "
Rep. Sanford Bishop, D-Albany, held a forum at Farrfield Manor retirement community Monday afternoon to spread his message about the importance of protecting Social Security and Medicare." -- What a two-faced liar! He voted for HELL-thSCare which cuts $500,000,000.00 dollars (yes, a half-billion) out of Medicare!!!!
---
L-E headline: "Casino owner, 4 state senators indicted in Alabama bingo probe " -- It's amazing how little emphasis the L-E put on the Senators' party affiliation since 2 were DIM/DUMBorats.
---
L-E headline: " U.S. sues 3 big credit card firms " -- For what...giving the US a credit downgrade based on debt load?

Please pray for the families and members of Tabernacle of Prayer and Deliverance. Though unreported yet in local media, a church van blew a tire and rolled over several times and at least 4 have died.
---
There's a program on PBS called "Smothered: The Censorship Troubles of The Smothers Brothers" -- Don't you wish there was still some censorship effort being made to keep the TV show and movies aimed at our teen and younger children at a higher level of decency?
---
From the 'only in California' department - Online story: "A new California law has worried free speech advocates by criminalizing the practice of impersonating someone else online. SB 1411, introduced to the California legislature in February and recently signed into law by Governor Schwarzenegger, makes it a misdemeanor to impersonate someone without their consent "through or on an Internet Web site or by other electronic means for purposes of harming, intimidating, threatening, or defrauding another person." Those convicted must pay a fine of up to $1,000, or spend as much as one year in a county jail." -- A "NEW law"? What's it taken for California to protect basic rights of citizens... did someone impersonate the governor...nah, that couldn't be it, because Schwarzennegger has been impersonating a governor for years.
---
Online headline: "What Teachers Wish Obama Knew" -- What..that no teacher takes TelePrompters into the classroom to discuss things with her/his students?
---
On line headline: "Ahmandinejad Calls for US Leaders to Be 'Buried'" -- That's news?
---
L-E headline: "Mayoral hopefuls probe each other at forum" -- What was this...some kind of 'alien-fest'?
---
L-E's "QUOTABLE": “Fear is, I believe, a most effective tool in destroying the soul of an individual — and the soul of a people.” Anwar Sadat Egyptian military, political leader (1918-1981) " -- Isn't that the same campaign slogan used by ACORN and the Imam-a '08 committee?
---
Well, I did learn something in Kathleen Parker's column today.... My wife could not run here business in New York City. Big Brother has made it against the law to light the candles on a birthday cake. No wonder there is voter unrest!

Online headline/story: "US to Tell US Citizens to Be Vigilant in Europe * updated guidance prompted by al-Qaida threats * Officials have been concerned that terrorists may be plotting attacks in Europe with assault weapons on public places, similar to the deadly 2008 shooting spree in Mumbai, India * Sweden announced it has raised its threat alert to the highest level ever because of an increased threat of terror attacks * In Britain, the security level stood at "severe" - the second highest in a five-step scale" -- Sweden is worried...Sweden... how sick are these people? I'm not talking about al Qaida, everyone knows how sick al Qaida is, but when people think being tolerant or embracing of the growth of a jihadist movement will exempt them from acts of terrorism, that's sicker! The 'Ground Zero" Hamas-que comes to mind in our country.
---
Last Tuesday's Council meeting must have the Chamber of Commerce gurus, Mike Gaymon & Co, pulling their hair out. How can they go to other companies, and 'sell' Columbus when some of our Council doesn't understand the difference between right & wrong and racism! What do other communities think when one of our Councilors describes employee disciplinary action for lying as a "public lynching", and GNN announces it to the world!
---
Online headline: "Will Gibbs Be Next to Leave White House?" -- I bet he'll be last one to leave; after about two years of showing how inept he is, who would hire him?
---
You know, there was a tribute to Bobby Cox aired yesterday at 3:30 PM. Since it was a football and Ryder Cup Saturday, do you think anyone actually watched it? That's a shame, but it points out how out-of-tune TV is with reality...now that's a "reality show" worth producing!
---
Yesterday, as I passed a 1st Avenue intersection while a fund-raising run was being conducted, there was a safety monitor, bedecked in her orange vest, puffing away on a cigarette. There's an oxymoron somewhere in this...
---
L-E headline: "Officials: Schools run normally in wake of incidents on school bus * Schools, administrators take several steps to keep students safe" -- Hmmm.. could it be that the garish color of the buses makes them easy targets? How about a 'camo' paint job?
---
L-E headline/story: "Georgia voter registration deadline is Monday * Those registering for the first time should bring a government-issued photo ID * No identification is necessary for anyone already registered who just needs to make a change in their name or address on record" -- Read the last sentence carefully...very carefully. As I see it, it makes vote fraud easy. Anyone could go into the Board of Elections office and make a change of address of someone who has moved out of town (or died) and then call in for an absentee ballot to be mailed to the new address. Identification should be required for any and all voter transactions!
---
L-E headline: " MARTA price increases to go into effect " -- Hmmm, guess all those empty seats will demonstrate how much potential revenue could be derived if people actually filled the seats.
---
L-E headline: "ELECTION 2010 * Tea party could run out of steam * Novelty may wear off by election day * By DAVID LIGHTMAN * McClatchy Newspapers" -- Hmmm.. Is this just wishful thinking or denial by McClatchy in general, or is the L-E editorial staff just avoiding putting its opinion/"HOPE" out for public perusal?
---
Looking at the graph in the above article, one thing stands out loud and clear: None of the DIM/DUMBorat incumbents have the confidence of the majority of their state's voters, and at this point, are not likely to get 50+%.
---
L-E story: "Electronic Arts, a major game developer based in Redwood City, Calif., said it has dropped the Taliban label from a version of its “Medal of Honor” video game after families of troops complained it was offensive. " -- Now, if we could just get EA to drop some of the violence and sex from other games that they sell to teens.
---
L-E headline: " U.S. SUPREME COURT STARTS NEW TERM MONDAY * Kagan won’t help court decide many cases * Justice recuses herself in 21 cases because of work as ex-solicitor general" -- You know, I'm not worried what her vote would have been in those cases, as she should already know the facts, and guilt of such cases since she had to file the charges, but these cases would not be the "acid test' of what her overall point of view will be as a liberal.

With his well publicized 'sexual addiction', and his reputation for having 'strange bedfellows', what can we surmise about XPOTUS Clinton campaigning for Barney Frank?
---
In spite of her charms, and pleasantness for a mayor, Mother Teresa Obamalinson IS still a lawyer, and there are two distinct areas that bother me about putting her where she can direct the revenues collected in the slush fund we thought was going to be limited to Public Safety and Infrastructure. One is her previous desire to commandeer tax dollars to build housing in still declining neighborhoods. Smart money waits for an area to bottom out before reinvesting. The second is that after all her promotion of MidTown, she moved her business out of the MidTown sector. MidTown could have benefited from a growing business.
---
From DIM/DUMB Congressman Hank (Guam could tilt over if the US puts too many soldiers and equipment on the island) Johnson's e-mail "Newsletter": "A recent poll indicates that America’s seniors remain confused and uninformed about how the new health reform law affects them." -- Wrong! Only the DIM/DUMBorats who voted for the HELL-thScare Bull are confused and uninformed.
---
Two more tidbits from Johnson's "Newsletter": "On Monday, I visited STAND Inc. [Standing to Achieve New Directions] to congratulate them on receiving a $300,000 annual grant from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). * "Congratulations to More Than Conquerors Inc. – a community based non-profit organization in Stone Mountain committed to the needs of at-risk youth from middle school through college freshmen – for receiving a $650,000 grant to help prevent teen pregnancies." -- "Congratulations for receiving" an earmark? I thought 'congratulations' were in order for actually accomplishing something on your own....
---
L-E headline: "Police say Gerald Hatchett's Labor Day killers were riding in a stolen U.S. government SUV" -- Hmmm, wonder if 'the government' has realized it yet?
---
When I went to the Tax office Wednesday to pay my business ad valor em taxes, I saw something that surprised, as well as pleased, me. Above each teller's window was a decal/sticker: "Proud to be an American"....with no hyphen!
---
Online story: "(Oct. 1) -- Late this afternoon, CNN announced that it had fired anchor Rick Sanchez following controversial comments he made about Jews, the media and Comedy Central host Jon Stewart." -- How come Jesse Jackson has never been vilified for his comments about the Jewish? There have been documented tapes/videos of his 'hymie/hymieville' comments.
---
Online headline: "US Apologizes for Infecting Guatemalans With STDs" -- Ooops, my bad. Thought potUS Imam-a had started another 'apology tour'. It was actually about another 'sick' program started under a DIM/DUMBorat president in the 1940's.
---
L-E headline/story: "California reduces pot possession charge * The law signed Thursday by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger reduces possession of an ounce or less of pot from a misdemeanor to an infraction with a maximum punishment of a $100 fine * “In this time of drastic budget cuts, … the courts cannot afford to expend limited resources prosecuting a crime that carries the same punishment as a traffic ticket,” the governor said." -- Let's get this straight... possession of an illegal, no tax revenue generating product is going to go unpunished? There's no doubt what Californian lawmakers are smoking! BTW, perhaps California could balance its budget if traffic tickets were raised to the level of GA's fines...but then, that would make it cost effective for California to prosecute low dose 'pot' users.....
---
L-E "headlie" : "Brookstone 22 Schley County 0" -- Well, either the L-E left early in the 2nd quarter, or the L-E is trying to be politically sensitive in not wanting to embarrass people with the facts.

Looks to me that once the CPD has finished its investigation of the Parks&Rec/Nike scam, instead of the GBI, IRS should be called for further actions.
---
Hmmm, as sitting Attorney General of California, isn't it Jerry Brown's responsibility to prosecute and deport meg Whitman's former domestic employee?
---
From the "suspicions confirmed" department - Online story: "At a question-and-answer forum with Virginia residents today, Obama called Comedy Central host Jon Stewart's upcoming "Rally to Restore Sanity" event "really important." -- Well, we knew the potUS Imam-a administration was a 'bad joke'; this just proves it.
---
Why is it that some of the 'pedestrian controls" at intersections give a countdown as to when they are going to change the lights from green to red while others don't. and even within those that do such, some get to 'zero' and the light changes at that point, and others get to 'zero', and there's a several second delay before the lights change?
---
It's embarrassing that anyone on our Council is still bigoted when it comes to whether something is right or wrong. It's more embarrassing that their districts will elect/re-elect them.
