Online headline/story: "Police Raid Wrong Home, Frighten Elderly Couple * The men who burst into the home reportedly were members of the Cook County Sheriff's Police Gang Crimes Unit, executing a search warrant for guns and narcotics." -- Ooops, my bad. Thought this was about Rahm Emanuel's new voter registration or the nearly dead.
---
Online headline: "FDIC targets failed bank execs with legal action" -- The FDIC and US bankers ought to be suing Congress's Banking committees, specifically Rep Barney Frank and Senator Christopher Dodd, so the American taxpayer will get relief and revenge!
---
With the early voting option as it is, shouldn't there be some sort of control over the start of early voting. As it is, people can register to vote after voting starts. There's just something wrong about that.
---
King Roy....don't you wonder what he's "king of"...from his political ads, BS would be my guess.
---
Speaking of Ol' Roy, he does spell his name BarneS.
---
Don't you worry about a politician who's proud to run on being a banker/attorney, but omits he's a DIM/DUMBorat, and avoids his party's leader when he comes to our state?
---
I'm beginning to wonder which is the worse attribute of drivers using cell phones: those distracted so they don't see the light change to red and can't stop, or those who are talking and do not notice that the light has turned green?
---
This is one for the City Engineer: heading south on Veterans and making a left at 23rd St, you can only do so on a green arrow. I guess it's because of a limited sight situation, yet if you are on 23rd St, you can make a right hand turn on red even though you have less visibility of northbound Veterans Parkway traffic.
---
Happy birthday in Iraq, Mark!
---
L-E headline: "Bleak news for Democrats in jobs report " -- What the headline should have been: "Democrats bleak news for jobs report".
---
A L-E "soundoff": "They're just guidelines * Who believes campaign promises? If it were up to one person, most would be kept, but our government isn't structured like that. They're more a guideline of what the candidate will try to do." -- Wonder which DIM/DUMBorats candidate sent this in! Maybe Machiavelli ?
---
L-E associated stories: "ATHENS — Call it fowl play. A poultry bandit stole “Big Zach,” the 15-foot tall inflatable mascot for Zaxby’s restaurants, this week from the front lawn of a University of Georgia building. The mascot disappeared sometime between 11:30 p.m. Monday and 4:30 a.m. Tuesday." and "ATHENS — A University of Georgia fraternity has been suspended, the third time a chapter has been suspended this year. " -- Coincidence?
---
L-E headline/story: "Obama signs technology access bill for disabled * Blind and deaf people will be able to more easily use smart phones" -- Braille keyboards and touch screens? How many trillions will this add to our cell phone bills?
---
L-E headline/story: "National security adviser resigns * (General James) Jones will be replaced by his chief deputy, Tom Donilon, a former Democratic political operative and lobbyist who in many ways is already the day-to-day leader of the White House national security operation." -- Huh? I thought potUS Imam-a promised to keep lobbyists out of the White House....
