Andy Griffith grew up next door to my sis-in-law's mother in Mt Airy (thus Mayberry), and in a non-related story, mother and dad were in New York, and met Andy Griffith after a broadway play, and Andy invited the Goldsboro, NC gal and her husband back to his hotel room to continue the conversation. While they were in his room, he got the call that the role of Will Stockdale was his in the movie version of "No Time for Sergeants". Lets just hope that the memories we keep are of Will Stockdale and Andy Taylor, and not Andy Griffith, disoriented HELL-thSCARE advocate.

Have you noticed all the 'tweets' coming from DIM&DUMBERats about the Supreme Court decision. They just confirm that raising taxes gets a tingle up their legs,but more creepy is that it reminds me of old movies about the future that had 'big brother' making such comments over omnipresent loud public loudspeakers .

It's nice to hear the City has standards concerning political signs placed on the right-of-ways, BUT how come the City doesn't police dealerships (Budget comes to mind quickly) parking cars on the rights- of-way?

A fellow BCer brought up a good point. Nearly half of Social Security monies does not go to retirees. The administration of such payouts eats away at the "fund". How much more would retirees get if all their 'contributions' were kept in individual accounts and doled out electronically when the individual wanted to start using it?

You are making this campaign better at a critical time." -- Hmmm, I'd feel better about this if he had read my survey first, but I guess he's used to getting something passed before reading it. Jefferson penned the conclusion of the delegates to the Independence Convention. One such item was "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. " Perhaps its time to invoke the power of such to action, and ask all those who believe in the gifts of the Creator make a contribution for one way tickets to other countries for those who deny this country was founded along the Judeo-Christian beliefs.
