Online headline: "Father of 24 children found dead inside Detroit building" -- Ooops, my bad.. thought maybe he'd finally run out of 'bullets'.
---
You know...there's still interest in the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa. At least the FBI is still interested in wasting our tax dollars looking under any rock some rumor points at. 38 years ago, a mafia/union 'disagreement' happened, and Hoffa 'poofed'. It was a good thing then as well, so why does the FBI still think it'll actually find recoverable body evidence?

Weiner is already toast, but he insists that "quit'' isn't in his blood... I guess that's the only campaign promise he can keep, because he certainly hasn't 'quit' living up to the DUMBERat mascot image.

L-E headline: "Late invoices push sheriff $1.8M over ’13 budget " --Being over budget is not the end-all of life, but turning in invoices showing such a problem exists 3 or so months late is not a healthy situation. The number 1 question is who takes responsibility for not turning them in, and the number 2 question is what will be the consequences?

Online headline/story: "Clarksville, Arkansas School District Opts For Armed Teachers, Staff * (School Superintendent David) Hopkins said he and other school leaders didn't see why the district couldn't rely on its own staff and teachers to protect students rather than hire someone. * "We're not tying our money up in a guard 24/7 that we won't have to have unless something happens. We've got these people who are already hired and using them in other areas," Hopkins said. "Hopefully we'll never have to use them as a security guard." * Donna Morey, former president of the Arkansas Education Association, called the idea of arming teachers "awful." The risk of a student accidentally getting shot or obtaining a gun outweighs any benefits, she said." -- It's unfortunate that a president, current or former, of a teacher's group would think an accidental shooting "outweighs any benefits". Let her be the speaker at the ribbon cutting of the new Sandy Hooks school in Newtown, CONN.

Online story: "Officials at San Francisco International Airport have been making citizen's arrests and issuing citations to ride and car share drivers who pick up or drop off passengers at the curb." -- Hmmm, Taxi's and limo services gouged so much that entrepreneurial services began offering airport services to beleaguered riders. Just proves why unions are most responsible for manufacturers sending jobs overseas.

Online headline: "Hawaii 'Return To Home' Program Will Pay To Fly Homeless People Back To The Mainland " -- Hmmm, Judas 00-bama must have another vacation planned. Oh, somebody show this to Mayor Obamalinson's "End Homelessness in 10 Years" committee. It'll probably be cheaper to give away 1-way cruise tickets to Hawaii, and let Hawaii handle it.

From the 'now we know for sure what they've been smoking' department - Online story: "WASHINGTON -- A man named Warren walked into a bright blue high-security building about a mile north of the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday afternoon. He emerged with three different kinds of marijuana in hand, determined to figure out which would make him feel better. * "I've never tried it," said Warren with a smile. He wouldn't give his last name." * Just nine people are authorized to purchase medical marijuana in the District of Columbia." -- Only 9 nameless people now have legal access to marijuana in the Capital... Sounds like either a street monopoly or a lobbyist group.

Online story: "HARRISBURG, Pa. — Penn State's ex-president and two former top school administrators were ordered Tuesday to stand trial on charges accusing them of a cover-up in the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal, a court ruling that promises to prolong the media attention and court battles casting a shadow over the university. * District Judge William Wenner called it "a tragic day for Penn State University." -- Hmm, it was a more tragic day when Sandusky molested a child and someone knew and didn't kill Sandusky on the spot.

The Judas 00-bama vacation house (wonder where Michele id staying?):
You know, only a president who has Joe Biden as his VP would feel safe in a house with this much window space. No one wants Biden to get a promotion.

Yesterday, I called attention to the retention rate of teachers in the MCSD and questioned why our students test scores were lower than the state averages. A teacher challenged my knowledge of what a 'rention rate' is. My knowledge of business considers "retention" as the employee turnover rate. If the turnover rate is under control of the organization, then turnover/attrition comes with eliminating lesser productive personnel. If turnover/attrition is left to its on accord, it's the most productive who can and do leave. The MCSD demonstrated it does not take leadership in pulling the weeds out before they take over the garden. This is the most evil consequence of union conditions.

A Congressional DUMBERat convening to discuss racism/black issues amongst themselves was an absolute waste of tax dollars. The only solution they had was they weren't going to get their way without having the White House & both Houses of Congress under their control. What a good time for them to discuss black inner city crime, unemployment, education, out-of-wedlock births... but did they even bring up any of the subjects... NOT ON YOUR LIFE!

A court got something right. It overruled Mayor Bloom-ing-idiot-berg's large drink ban. Now if we can get a court to throw out politicians like Bloomberg.

Minimum wage... it's a starting wage for entry level IN SOME industries, BUT it's not the ceiling those industries will pay for those who take the opportunity and make something of it.

L-E headline: "Manning acquitted on most serious charge, convicted on 20 others " -- I still want to know why a private was given access and opportunity to steal pertinent data.
---
L-E story: "MADRID” The driver was on the phone with a colleague and apparently looking at a document as his train barreled ahead at 95 mph (153 kph) ” almost twice the speed limit. Suddenly, a notorious curve was upon him. " -- I want to know, in this high tech world, why an electronic braking system was not installed on the train? Not just for situations of negligence, but in cases that the operator became medically unable to perform his duties. Such systems are available on cars as we speak.

Try outs for the scarecrow part in a new "Wizard of Oz" production?

L-E story: "Tim Smith of the Discovery Channel’s “Moonshiners†promotes his legal moonshine, Climax Moonshine, on Tuesday at Bootleggers in downtown Columbus. Here, Smith is shown with a shot of his moonshine and a shot of sweet tea, which he recommends as a chaser after drinking the 90 proof alcohol." -- You know, one of the pariah's of irresponsible drinking is 'binge drinking'. Several 'shots' are downed in a short period, and the after effect catches up all at once. Why is the Columbus L-E promoting 'shots'?

L-E business headlines: "Jobless rates rise in 90% of U.S. cities " ; "Consumer confidence dips from 5-year high" ; "U.S. home prices increase 12.2 percent, best in 6 years" ; "Economic data expected to show slow 2nd quarter" -- Hmmm.. what's this now... summer #3 or #4 of the "Summer of Recovery"? Only liberal spinmeisters can find comfort in these headlines... maybe because they know they have job security trying to keep the wolves off Judas 00-bama's back.
---
Online headline: "White House to Teach Kids how to Handle Debt" -- Huh? Isn't the White House better qualified on teaching how to ACCUMULATE debt?

From the "what's wrong with this picture" department:
Two things... 1 - Pelosi "thinks"?, and 2 - Who cares what Pelosi thinks?

Online headline/story: "Obama: Economy Would Be 'Better Off' with More Government Workers * After blaming the sequester—a budget control measure which still increases overall federal spending—Obama lamented how rough the last four years have been:
Over the past four years, another 700,000 workers at the federal, state and local levels of government lost their jobs. These are cops and firefighters. About half of them are people that work in our schools. Those are real jobs.
-- First, states and local governments are not under the 'sequester' umbrella, so police, fire and education jobs are not under 'sequester', but Judas 00-bama cannot tell the truth and get sympathy. His choices have focused on downsizing our military versus the entitlement programs.
