Online story: "A protest on behalf of Walmart workers in Ontario, Calif., led to the arrest of up to 10 people Friday, among them Karl Hilgert, who dressed up as Santa Clause for the event, according to The San Bernardino Sun. The protest was one of around 1,500 planned nationwide Friday accusing Walmart of providing employees unfair wages and working hours * “I'm going to get arrested for civil disobedience,” Hilgert told San Bernardino Sun." -- A union protestor dressed up like Santa Claus to get intentionally arrested in front of kids. We know where the heart of the unions are, and it's smaller than "the Grinch's".
---
HuffPost headline: "Walmart's Black Friday Going About As Badly As You'd Expect" -- Hmmm, I guess it's a matter of perspective and agenda. HuffPost is pro-union, and Wlamart is pro-laughing-it's-way-to-the-bank. The videos shown remind me of the days of the George Washington Day "I cannot tell a lie" Sales before Washington and Lincoln lost out to a government coerced "President's Day federal holiday. We advertised refrigerators or washers or dryers for $50.00 dollars or less as a 'lost leader'. By time it was time to open, crowds at each door would be 100's packed like sardines. I used to have our sales associates to just stand against the wall as people would race to run up down escalators (some sales veterans would even know about the back fire escape stairs and run up those) hoping to be the lucky ones to get great bargains. It was mayhem, and we all smiled.

Did you see where a helicopter crashed into a pub in Scotland? Don't tell Mayor Obamalinson or our state representatives or they may try to get fly-thru windows at liquor stores.

---
Online headline: "US strikes new deal with haven for tax evaders" -- Ooops, my bad, thought Judas 00-bama was pardoning more turkeys over the Thanksgiving weekend.
---
Online headline: "Identity of CIA's Top Spy In Pakistan Reportedly Revealed" -- Hmm, one of those "film at 11:00; funeral at 11:15 stories.
---
HuffPost headline: "Obama Visits Activists Fasting For Immigration" -- Oops, my bad... Thought Judas 00-bama was looking for directions for escape.
---
Online headline: "Fight Brews In Pennsylvania's 13th District For Democrats' Direction" -- ""Democrat's direction"? Is "scatter" a direction? What a mish-mash... 4 candidates, including Chelsea Clinton's mother-in-law who doesn't even live in the district she's campaigning for, but rules don't apply to Democrats in PA ...... either.
---
HuffPost headline: "What The Pentagon Means When It Says The U.S. Military Is 'Ready'" -- Hmmm... "bent over"?
---
HuffPost headline: "Egyptians Take To Streets Despite New Protest Law" -- Hmmm? Isn't this sorta oxymoronic? Where else do protestors go to protest laws?
---
I'm waiting.... waiting for the retro billboard ads that feature Verizon and Romney saying, "Can you hear me now?"
---
L-E story: "NEW LONDON, CONN. — A union spokesman for striking nurses says they have asked Lawrence and Memorial Hospital to allow nurses to return to work Saturday night while contract issues remain unresolved." -- Wait a minute... let me get this straight... the union called a strike, nurses walked out, but now unions want the hospital to let (and pay) them work, and theoretically disrupt patient care if negotiations aren't smooth? There was a time that being in a union meant that if a strike was called, the dues you paid all year, every year were available for members as carry-on economic aid to tide strikers over until a settlement was agreed to. Now, I guess, the union bosses and their Democratic politicians get most of that money, and it's not available for the rank & file members. Hmmm, now tell me why union members still support the unions?

Online story: "'Kinky Boots' Performance At Macy's Day Parade Provokes Outrage" - I must have been watching the CBS portion when this aired on NBC, but NBC and Macy's should be embarrassed, in fact they oughta be chastised for mixing in inappropriate alternative lifestyle entertainment into the opening salvo for Christmas for the children/Christian families of America. In fact, Macy's not only should be embarrassed AND chastised, Macy's should be stricken off our shopping trips. Me, I'm m=not even going to use my usual parking spot area at the Mall from which I walked through the local Macy's to get through to the main \Mall area.
---
I spoke too soon..as ugly as my Mississippi State's uniforms were, Oregon State's were too ugly not to give them the "Turkey" award for the Thanksgiving weekend. I can't imagine a Saturday game even coming close enough to change my mind again. In fact, combining the Oregon U uniforms with Oregon State's, and you had the worst dressed teams for even a men's slow-pitch softball game
---
Oregon is not a quality team. I honestly think they were intimidated at Oregon State having brighter, uglier uniforms.
---
Fresno State went into yesterday's game with a 10-0 record, scored 52 points... and lost. Wow.
---
Online story: "For the second time in three years, fishermen in southern Maryland have pulled in a shark from the most unlikely place -- the Potomac River. * Actually they caught two sharks." -- Hmmm, and they were 'bull sharks'... Now, why is anyone surprised? Congress adjourned for the weekend so I'm sure they swept most of their "bull" into the river, and the sharks were hunting for food.
---
After the number of brawls reported at stores and shopping centers in post-Thanksgiving activities may change the traditional name of the holiday shopping spree. Next year it will referred to as "Black-eye Friday"
---
The White House claim that the website is working better than before is pretty lame. Lamer still is the working website.
---
McClatchy headline/story: "Labor overtakes business on outside campaign spending * Using data from the National Institute for Money in State Politics on 38 states with significant elections and disclosure laws, the public-integrity group's reporters found unions and other pro-Democratic groups outspent pro-Republican groups by $8 million. * Looking at California data, it appears labor groups' $129.9 million in spending on 2012 races - one-fifth of the year's total campaign contributions - was the most among 14 categories listed. "General business" groups were second with $81.1 million. * Highest on the list of labor contributors: teachers' unions, with $44.9 million, and state and local government workers' unions, with $34.7 million." -- Once again, government employees should not be able to vote in elections of candidates that determine their pay/salaries. Group contributions by teacher and government union groups should be considered attempted bribery at a minimum.
---
McClatchy story: "WASHINGTON — The United States may be emitting 50 percent more methane, a potent greenhouse gas, than the federal government had previously estimated, according to a new study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences." -- Could it simply be that the National Academy of Sciences is only sampling the air around Algore, and Algore's samples are skewed since he became veggan and eats only beans?
---
McClatchy story: "In Oregon, a state envied for its high tech, sign-ups under the new federal health-care law have been anything but. * About 400 newly hired workers in Salem are processing paper applications by the thousands for health insurance under President Barack Obama's law. They review each 19-page application, calculate eligibility for tax subsidies, and then mail back a packet of each consumer's options - which the customers must mail back to complete their enrollments." -- Well, after watching the Oregon/Oregon State football game, it's easy to understand... all available computers were being used to design ugly uniforms for last nights game. Now, even with Judas 00-bama's temporary pardoning of the "turkey" dates to sign up, Oregonians are still at risk of failing to meet the deadline as they wait for snail mail to get their forms in on time.
---
From the " things you learn by accident" department - Are you aware that there's an organic Vodka option out there? Guess veggans can now get soused guilt free.
---
Common Core, the curriculum being coerced into our school systems (45 states, so far) with the promise of more OObamaBUCK$, has a teaching guideline for the Gettysburg Address which occludes mention or connection with the Civil War. How can you separate the two?
---
The city of. Huntington Beach, CA sent a letter to the owner of Johnny's Rock & Roll Saloon to take down it's roof mounted sign that reads, "Thank a Veteran for your Freedom". The sign has been there for many years, but the city picks now to go after it. Chances are, the sign was grandfathered in before current sigage laws were passed, but you know how liberals work... if Judas 00-bama can illegally change laws on a whim. we oughta be able to do so, also.
---
A Fox commentator said OObamaCRAP is bad because not only did no Congresspersons read it first, now no Congresspersons know how to fix it. Wrong..no Obamarats know how or want to fix it.
---
Let's face it, OObamaCRAP will not appeal to young people to buy insurance, much less even go to a website that's not a social network, unless it offers lotteries/raffles to free iPhones.
---
Online story: "In The Washington Post, Jonathan Zimmerman, a history professor from NYU, has written an article claiming that all of America’s problems would be soloved–GET THIS–if only we would allow Barack Obama to run for a third term!" -- Hey, professor... let's back track a sec.. it's a lot more realistic to believe we would not have today's problems had Judas 00-bama not elected been at all.
---
In the same above story: "Just one week ago, the very same newspaper ran a story predicting that if the 2012 election were held now, Mitt Romney would win the White House, not Obama." -- No wonder liberals walk around confused and in denial.
---
Why is it that liberals feel people who design plans that fail are the only ones that can fix them? How many problems in our schools have been fixed by Carter's creating the Secretary of Education cabinet seat?
---
Uptown..... tsk tsk... The Uptown Market Days are now going to be operating year round. Some people don't understand a good thing, and run it into the ground. Remember RiverFest? Remember the Indian Cultural Fair? The Uptown Market Days were eagerly anticipated as the weather warmed and vegetables started coming into season. Vendors and customers reacquainted themselves after a winters' hiatus. No More. Now vendors will get discouraged by the cold and doldrums of January, February, and March weather as customers roll over for an extra hour of Saturday morning sleep. You know, most thing flourish BECAUSE of the anticipation of it's beginning or return. For those who saw them, the Christmas windows at our store are a great example of anticipating somethings return. Crowds amassed Thanksgiving evening as the curtains were raised and the excitement revealed. And remember, Kirven's never opened for shoppers during that event. It was a time of family reunion.
---
L-E headline/story: "Top U.S. commander apologizes for fatal Afghan drone strike * Marine Gen. Joseph Dun-ford called Karzai late Thursday to express “deep regrets for the incident and any civilian casualties,” the commander’s spokesman said." -- Good grief! Judas 00-bama's influence as Apologizer-in-Chief has infiltrated the beliefs of the Generals 00-bama hasn't fired! As long as al Qaida terorist hide behind women and children, there will be tragic deaths, but that's why the leaders need to be exterminated. When has Karzai, al Qaida, or any Iraqi/Irani leader apologized for terrorists attacks on Americans, soldiers or civilians?
---
L-E's "Late laughs": "THAT IS the difference between Democrats and Republicans. When Republicans shut down the government, it’s on purpose.— Bill Maher" -- Yeah, and Democrats do it by inventing social programs that cannot be turned off.
---
L-E commentary: "It was a hallmark of the Stalin era: Fallen Soviet leaders vanished from official photographs. Nobody accuses President Obama of such subterfuge (well, nobody except for those who believe he forged his birth certificate), but a change in a longtime practice in the White House has raised questions about the integrity of images Americans see of their president. * The White House has increasingly excluded news photographers from Obama’s official events and is instead releasing images taken by in-house photographers, who are government employees. These photos often appear online and in newspapers, even though they lack the same standards of authenticity that govern those taken by photojournalists" -- You know, Judas 00-bama is concerned about surprise pictures popping up with the wrong people in them (like IRS department heads, Bill Ayers etc), but his number one focus is getting rid of video cameras and their open-microphones.
---
L-E's "Online Comment of the Day: "Minority crime tends to be of a more violent nature while upper class crime is done on paper and is not viewed the same, although the effects can be just as devastating. A minority or poor person whichever robs a convenience store and gets $150. Maddoff robs millions for 2 billion and is not scorned as much.” -- Well, the people that the Madoffs of the world scam are scammed because of their greed, and most people do have a sense of justice. Madoff promised huge returns versus the normal legitimate investment returns of doing business openly, and the greedy side of people lapped up his rhetoric. On the other hand, no one is sympathetic to a person who threatens the lives of themselves or people who could have been them.

The world, most of it anyway, rejoices in the denial of a new trial of a white racist supremist Michael weaver/Carothers. Now, to be fair, the courts should also deny black racist supremist Al Sharptongue coverage in the mainstream media.

For some reason, I do not think Nick Saban will be too interested in holding down the score against Auburn today.

Online headline: "Obama Gives Thanks For America's Founders, Troops, Volunteers" -- Judas 00-bama ought to gives "thanks"....thanks he has a job, thanks that the mainstream media hasn't turned on him completely, thanks he hasn't been impeached & convicted, and thanks no one (but Biden) wants Joe Biden in the Oval Office.
---
HuffPost headline: "GOP Wants To Steal Turkey From Poor People, White House Says" -- So much for Judas 00-bama wanting to be the president of ALL the people.
---
HuffPost headline/story: "Dem Senator Accuses White House Of 'Fear-Mongering' Tactics * The Democratic chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee accused the White House on Wednesday of using "over the top" rhetoric and "fear-mongering" tactics to try to halt new sanctions against Iran after the United States brokered an interim deal with Tehran over its nuclear program. * Senator Robert Menendez criticized President Barack Obama's administration for agreeing to the deal under which Iran will accept restrictions on its nuclear program in exchange for limited relief from economic sanctions that have damaged its economy and cut deeply into its oil exports." -- Whoa! Talk about DEMS trying to distance themselves from Judas 00-bama going into thr next re-election cycle....
---
Online story: "CHICAGO — A police officer answering a call of alleged shoplifting at a Chicago area department store open on Thanksgiving evening shot the driver of a car that was dragging a fellow officer, authorities said." -- Glad Judas 00-bama was in the White House... otherwise, he'd have been in Chicago, and might have pardoned this turkey, too.
---
Online story: "JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville woman awaiting a new trial in a controversial "stand your ground" case is free on bond. * In 2012, Marissa Alexander was sentenced to a mandatory 20-year prison sentence for firing what she insisted was a warning shot during a fight with her husband. She tried to invoke Florida's "stand your ground" law, but the judge threw out her self-defense claim * An appeals court ruled in September that the judge in the case gave improper jury instructions." -- "mandatory 20 year prison sentence"? You better believe there should be a new "gun control" law... one banning sentencing laws like this in similar situations!
---
Online story: " China's military sent several fighter jets and an early warning aircraft on patrol into disputed air space over the East China Sea on Thursday, * The move raises the stakes in a standoff with the United States, Japan and South Korea over the zone. * Ties between China and Japan have been strained for months by the dispute over the islands in the East China Sea, called the Diaoyu by China and the Senkaku by Japan. The islands are currently under Japanese administrative control * Earlier this week, Washington sent two unarmed B-52 bombers through the airspace without first informing Beijing, a sign of support for its ally Japan. * U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is visiting China, Japan and South Korea next week, and will try to defuse tensions over the issue, senior U.S. administration officials said." -- Huh? Isn't Judas 00-bama just adding fuel to the fire? Who's he going to send over to get Bleep Veep Biden out... Dennis Rodman?
---
I won't have to wait for the weekend games to find the ugliest uniform award winner. What's even worse is that it's my team.. Mississippi State. MSU had helmets that looked like replicas if that Egg Bowl Trophy and metallic gold numbers on the jerseys made it near nigh impossible to pick out players.
---
OK...our uniforms were ugly.... refereeing was also ugly, but even an ugly "W" is beautiful when you upset your state rival. Go, State, Go!
---
One more time....GA Southern beat Florida 26- 20. Now we see the YouTube video of two Florida players blocking each other.... hilarious is not adequate to describe the situation. I just wondered why the ref didn't throw a flag on them for either holding or improper celebration/dancing on the field.
---
L-E headline/story: "Muscogee County School District to expand Bring Your Own Device policy system-wide * Bring Your Own Device allows students to use their high-tech gadgets in the classroom, as long as the school and teacher permit them * if parents do choose to allow their children to bring a high-tech gadget to school, district officials recommend devices that run Microsoft software because they will provide the best integration with the school system's wireless network * "We are aware that other computer operating systems will work," ( Forrest ) Toelle (MCSD Chief Information Officer) aid, "but we cannot guarantee as good of a user experience or how well a non-Microsoft OS will work in the MCSD environment." -- Are we actually paying this person... Toelle.. to be the CIO of the MCSD system? Even middle-schoolers know all the handheld Internet devices will operate on a Wi-Fi system and it doesn't matter whether your device is Microsoft, Apple or Android driven.
---
McClatchy story: ":LOS ANGELES — A California man charged in a "serial thrill-kill" rampage that left six people dead, including four homeless men and a woman and her son, died Thursday after being found sick in his jail cell " -- Good grief... what's next? Bet some lawyer sues the jail for denying him 20 years of legal fees to represent the dead serial killer.
---
Now it seems some veggan food company is using Algore as an endorsement for its product line. Now we know why Algore is so strident about global warming/climate change being wherever he speaks... one word... b-e-a-n-s.... Algore is a walking, talking methane machine.
---
Did anyone see Santa Claus on CBS's coverage of the Macy's parade? I switched back and forth between CBS & NBC and saw Santa on NBC, but it seems CBS stopped covering the parade just before Santa came into view.
---
From a fellow BCer: "FAA Issues Holiday Reminder That Planes Can Crash And Kill You"
--- You have to wonder even more about what Judas 00-bama knew, and when he knew, the OObamaCRAP website would also crash & burn.
---
Random question: How does having a 4 or 5 digit deductible help families afford preventative medicine? If any "universal" insurance is going to work for preventative medicine, it cannot have a deductible . Premiums should cover average services and "normal" emergency needs, with a controlled profit for the carrier processing. If the program works , then overtime premiums can go down, and carriers profits can rise. A policy with patient determined deductibles and coverages for catastrophic situations should be separate from the preventative program.
---
Online quote site: " “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” ― John F. Kennedy " -- Hmmm, every politician should have to place their hand on a copy of this before making any speech, law, or campaign promise.
---
Now Judas Oo-bama is putting the starting team into the OObamaCRAP website fiasco. No football coach would start the "taxi sqad" and let a rival run up a 50 point lead before putting in the first team. I bet the communities that Judas 00-bama was the Community Organizer of now realize why they are so behind the poverty level.
---
Mayor Obamalinson allowed the Sheriff's Department flap to run up nearly $500,000.00 to pay lawyers' fees to argue over a few thousand dollars in salaries.... hardly penny-wise..
---
Online story: "Students in some schools will no longer be allowed to wear scented products like Axe Body Spray and perfume if one Pennsylvania lawmaker has her way. * State Rep. Marcia Hahm is hoping to introduce legislation called the Fragrance Free Schools Act that would ban the scented products in schools where some students have severe fragrance allergies, according to the Pennsylvania Independent." -- Good grief! Pennsylvania had Arlen Spector so long, it's become California East.
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Fortunately for CHS it can easily be named a top public school in the nation due to being a total academic magnet. Only high achievers can attend CHS. This is unfortunate for other high schools." -- Well, what are you going to do about seeing that your child is CHS "worthy"? What are you doing about insisting all schools be CHS competitive? Are you going to put up with the same MCSD Board members next election? Are you going to sit silently as the school system removes you, as a parent, from being involved in your child's learning experience? Are you going to be proud of remaining the victim when your government claims you are incapable of changing life for yourself? Are you going to start, today, right now, being a better parent to your school aged children? There's plenty you can do...
---
From the L-E's "Today in History": " In 1952, President-elect Dwight D. Eisenhower secretly left on a trip to Korea, keeping his campaign promise to assess the ongoing conflict first-hand." -- Hmmm, can anyone find another incident of a positive campaign promise being kept since?
---
It's Thanksgiving weekend.. the time rivals line up for the annual bragging rights.. UGA vs GA Tech, Alabama vs Auburn, Clemson vs South Carolina, Florida vs FSU, Duke vs UNC, Ole Miss vs Mississippi State, LSU vs Arkansas... LSU vs Arkansas? I don't know what's worse.LSU playing Arkansas or neither Louisiana nor Arkansas has a second college with a good football program?

Thursday, November 28, 2013

Happy Thanksgiving to all, and all join in to wish a happy Hannakah to all who celebrate this last simultaneous event for the next 75,000+ years.

---
Thanksgiving morning is scary for all Judas 00-bama appointees.. They can't even enjoy a cup of coffee until they check the Washington Post headline to see which turkeys got pardoned .

---
NSA......you know, most us thought we knew what the NSA was, but it's not what we think... Now it's the Nanny States of America.
---
Online headline: "Obama Signs Drug Compounding, Tracking Bill Into Law * In the United States, dozens of states have some type of regulation designed to track a drug's pedigree, but the rules are inconsistent. This law is designed to apply a uniform standard nationwide." -- Wouldn't you know it, Judas 00-bama waited until just before marijuana has become legal to sell in some states before tracking its 'pedigree'. I still wonder how marijuana will get into our country legally since it's against the federal law to own/sell/grow/use.
---
Well, we've seen how effective "fast & furious" wasn't in tracking guns being sent to Mexican drug lords, now we'll have an import tracking system for tracking marijuana back from Mexican drug lords. I suggest we call it "fast & whatever".
---
Online story: "The Colorado man who posted a selfie with his daughter to Facebook before shooting her in the head and then turning the gun on himself last week has died * It is still not known exactly why (_*_) McKoy committed the apparent murder-suicide, but a neighbor told the TV station that the deceased man was upset that Kim Phanthavongsa broke up with him. * The ... Coroner’s Office released a statement Monday saying that 22-year-old (_*_) McKoy died and will conduct an autopsy to determine McKoy’s cause of death." -- Two things.. like I've been saying... it's not about racism, it's about culturism. Secondly, I guess Colorado voters NEED their marijuana... The (_*_) shot himself in the head, and the Coroner has to perform an autopsy to determine cause of death... good grief!
---
HuffPost "headLIE": "Same-Sex Couple Becomes Illinois' First To Legally Wed" -- Say what? Is the HuffPost
saying that all the God blessed holy unions between Illinois heterosexual couples don't count?
---
Online story: "Coca-Cola announced last week that the company is suspending its brand advertising in the Philippines so that it can donate its entire ad budget to typhoon relief efforts. The company has so far donated more than $2.5 million in cash and in-kind contributions.* While many supporters have lauded Coke’s efforts in helping typhoon victims, some have questioned whether suspending ads is a marketing ploy in and of itself. * “It is still an advertising move,” one Reddit user pointed out. “People will find out what they did, think they are a better company because of it, and buy their product to support it. As great as it is it still gives them advertising.” -- Only a communist, liberal or Pepsi executive could find negativity in Coca Cola's spontaneous generosity. Go figure....
---
Online story: " A college basketball player who won $20,000 for hitting a half-court shot at an Oklahoma City Thunder game may have to either forfeit the money or his eligibility to play college sports. * Cameron Rodriguez, a 23-year-old sophomore forward for Winfield, Kan.-based Southwestern College, sank the promotional shot on Nov. 8 during the Thunder's home game against the Denver Nuggets. * Southwestern athletic director Dave Denly says the college's governing body for athletics, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, informed Rodriguez that if he kept the money he would lose his amateur status." -- "a 23-year-old sophomore"? The guy will be 25 as a Senior... do you want your 18 year old high school athlete going off to college and playing against 25 year olds? His age alone should make him ineligible for college sports. Take the money and run..
---
Online story: "Last week, the State Department announced that it would be moving the embassy from its standalone Vatican facility to a larger compound shared with the U.S. Embassy in Italy, as well as the U.S. Mission to the United Nations. According to Religion News Service, the move is anticipated to save the government $1.4 million a year." -- Oh, Judas 00-bama initiated this move "to save the government $1.4 million a year"... yeah ., right... NOT! Judas 00-bama prints up $1.2 trillion a year for the Fed to falsely prop up the economy, and "he's concerned" over $1.4 Million? He wastes that much on Air Force One flight expenses everytime he goes on vacaction.
---
Online story with above: "Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) called out President Barack Obama for closing the U.S. embassy to the Vatican, questioning whether the decision was political "retribution" for Catholic opposition to the Affordable Care Act." -- Bush nailed it.
---
Online headline: "O.J. Simpson's Manager Chimes In On Khloe Kardashian Paternity Rumors" -- Finally, a way for OJ to actually sound credible when he says, "I didn't do it!". BTW,if you were in jail, wouldn't you fire your manager?
---
There's a Republican Congressperson (from Wash State of all places) who probably has the message the Republican Party need to grasp. Rep Cathy Morris thinks the Republican Party does not need to nbe more moderate, but it does need to be more modern. She has my attention.
---
Online headline: "Obamas help the needy on Thanksgiving eve" -- Unfortunately, the needy will have to defend themselves the other 364 eves.
---
Can you believe that the bastions of liberalism, Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island still have "blue laws" on their books prohibiting retail stores from opening up on Thanksgiving? I wish I could say I support those states, but they are so liberal, anti-family, anti-Christian, and immoral it's obviously their way of rubbing their elitism in our faces.
---
From the "here's proof" department - L-E story: " BRAINTREE, Mass. — Apartment and condo managers, dogged by complaints from those who’ve experienced the squishy and smelly sensation of stepping onto a pile of dog doo, are turning to DNA testing to identify the culprits who don’t clean up after their pets." -- "Braintree"? "Brainless" is more like it. Just how do 'they' match up dog poo by DNA.... does it match the dogs' owners' DNA? This must be where OObamaCRAP is headed...
---
No wonder Judas 00-bama ran off to the Left Coast , snafu situations like OObamaCRAP sort are normal out there..
---
As Sunday looms upon us, it will be 2 months since OObamaCare turned into OObamaCRAP, and mainstream media still hasn't apologized for the Republican Party's attempt to save Judas 00-bama this embarrassment.
---
Do you think Hillary is really going to want to inherit OObamaCRAP so much that she will actually run in 2016?
---
Why is the CIA training Gitmo detainees as 'double agents'? Wouldn't it be even more effective to just "leak" the names to Al Jazeera of high-up al Qaida leaders being cooperative with the US?
---
Judas 00-bama keeps insisting the rollout of 00bamaCRAP was "rough". "Rough"? As compared to what...landing a 747 on an aircraft carrier would be easier
---
Wonder if Judas 00-bama sent a turkey to the family of Miriam Carey so they have something to celebrate this Thanksgiving?
--
McClatchy story: "This year, several states have done something that’s become politically impossible in Congress: They raised taxes to pay for transportation improvements. * Pennsylvania became the latest this month with a measure that will generate billions of dollars for roads, bridges and transit. It lifts the cap on taxes on the price of gasoline at the wholesale level, meaning drivers ultimately will pay more at the pump. They’ll also pay more for driver’s licenses and traffic violations." -- A great example of why the Republican Party needs to shakew it's "moderate" inclinations, and focus on being "more modern". Raising taxes on gas is a Democratic Party trap. Gasoline taxes hit main street America in the groin.
---
McClatchy story: "McClatchy’s newspaper editors will not publish photographs issued by the White House, Anders Gyllenhaal, vice president for news/Washington editor, told his staff. * Gyllenhaal noted "This will not be a significant departure from current practices, since our newspapers and websites rarely rely on White House-issued photos of news events. But we think it’s important to take a stance that helps sends the message that the limited access works against the public’s interests, diminishes the flow of information and often creates an inaccurate portraits of events in the White House." * He cited the view of Rock Hill Herald Editor Paul Osmundson of the Rock Hill Herald, who said, “The leader of the free world should be willing to be photographed by a free news media." -- "The leader of the free world should be willing to be photographed by a free news media? -- Knock, knock... is there anybody home? There are none so blind as those who will not see... what makes McClatchy, and the rest of the mainstream mnedia "fee' Judas 00-bama wants to be the leader of a "free" America?
---
OObamaCRAP really has the Congressional Democrats up for re-election scared. Now, Judas 00-bama has illegally altered the laws to move important sign-up dates for nearly everyone until after the November 2014 elections. What he can't alter is the future of OObamaCRAP.
---
Washington Post story on how to explain OObamaCRAP 'death panels" to your grandfather: "You can reassure any elderly relatives that there is absolutely, definitely, without a doubt no death panel in the Affordable Care Act. There is an Independent Payment Advisory Board, which would be allowed to recommend payment cuts for doctors who serve Medicare patients. This board is not allowed to deny patients' care; they only get to tinker with reimbursement rates. * On top of that, the IPAB isn't going into effect this year--or in the foreseeable future. That's because it only kicks in when health-care costs are growing faster than the rest of the economy, and right now they're growing at about the exact same rate. So, at least until Thanksgiving of next year, there is no chance of any panel changing his benefits." -- Uhhhh, "You can reassure any elderly relatives that there is absolutely, definitely, without a doubt no death panel in the Affordable Care Act"....."On top of that, the IPAB isn't going into effect this year--or in the foreseeable future. That's because it only kicks in when health-care costs are growing faster than the rest of the economy,"? -- Now you know why he has TWO TelePrompTers... one for each side of his mouth. Sorta like "you can keep your health insurance.. period, only he's saying there is no "death panel" but only because he hasn't gotten the website up and running... yet.

L-E headline: "PHENIX CITY SCHOOLS * DiChiara’s $750,000 buyout to be paid in lump sum" -- I usally do not comment on what goes on in our sister city, Phenix City, AL, but this is just stupidity.. Paying out a lump sum, when Phenix City taxpayers and students would be better served just to stick him in a rubber walled, phoneless, windowless office for the next 5 years and pay him monthly with hopes that he might quit or die a natural death before the 5 year end-of-term contract.

L-E story: " BRAINTREE, Mass. — Apartment and condo managers, dogged by complaints from those who’ve experienced the squishy and smelly sensation of stepping onto a pile of dog doo, are turning to DNA testing to identify the culprits who don’t clean up after their pets.

McClatchy story: "WASHINGTON — While the federal government decides how to regulate electronic cigarettes, many university officials across the country are moving ahead with their own rules about e-cigs on campus. * Several universities have already prohibited e-cigs or are set to ban them in upcoming years" -- Hmmm, and their position on smoking marijuana is...?

Hmmm, what's up at MSNBC? Obviously it's not the bottom line. MSNBC fired CRAPital ONE Spokesbigot Alec Baldwin, and Chris Matthews no longer tingles up or down the brass' legs.

---
Online story: "The National Security Agency has been gathering records of online sexual activity and evidence of visits to pornographic websites as part of a proposed plan to harm the reputations of those whom the agency believes are radicalizing others through incendiary speeches, according to a top-secret NSA document. The document, provided by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, identifies six targets, all Muslims, as “exemplars” of how “personal vulnerabilities” can be learned through electronic surveillance, and then exploited to undermine a target's credibility, reputation and authority * The Director of the National Security Agency -- described as "DIRNSA" -- is listed as the "originator" of the document. Beyond the NSA itself, the listed recipients include officials with the Departments of Justice" -- Hmmm, wonder if Judas 00-bama will adopt the same Benghazi Embassy security plan to avoid this YouTube video from causing an attack on the White House? Wonder if Pric Holder will beef up illegal alien security at his house?
---
Online story: "Walmart has amassed a trove of personal data on 60 percent of adult Americans -- possibly over 145 million people -- according to estimates from a report released Tuesday.* “This is part of a growing trend that leaves American consumers -- particularly consumers of color and poor consumers -- really vulnerable to violations of their online privacy,” said Malkia Cyril, the head of the Center for Media Justice, a left-leaning media rights advocacy group" -- Wanna bet the Center for Media Justice hasn't complained about the NSA or IRS or DOJ or OObamaCRAP invasions of privacy? Wanna bet how much money the taxpayers would save by letting Walmart collect data versus the NSA, IRS, DOJ and OObamaCRAP? Wanna bet Walmarts knows the addresses of most illegal aliens?
---
Online headline: "Christie On Obamacare: 'I'm Really Glad The Train Wreck's Not Mine, It's His'" -- Well, Christie, it might become yours through inheritance, so how stop fueling the engine, and get off the 00-bama "rail".
---
HuffPost headline: "Obama Goes On Offensive Over Health Care Law" -- "goes on the offensive"? OObamaCRAP has been offensive from the gitgo!
---
Online story: "After weeks of careful ballot counting, officials in Washington state on Tuesday certified the results in a potentially historic vote that will create far and away the highest minimum wage in America. * Squeaking by with a mere 77-vote margin, the ballot measure known as Proposition 1 will set a $15 wage floor for an estimated 6,000 airport and hotel workers in SeaTac, Wash., a suburb of 27,000 residents south of Seattle. * While the vote count had been too close to call in the days following the Nov. 5 election, the King County Elections commission posted the official results on its website late Tuesday: 3,040 in favor of the measure, 2,963 against. There were 12,108 registered voters eligible to cast ballots." -- Hmmm, the next 2 years or so will be interesting. Wonder how many hotels will close/relocate, and it's effect on Boeing union wages which are tied into increase in the minimum wage? This will probably be a worse influence on the economy than 00bamaCRAP in that area.
---
Online story: "CHESTERFIELD, MO. — Gov. Jay Nixon is heading to St. Louis County to publicly pitch his plan to lure a new Boeing Co. aircraft plant to Missouri. * Nixon was scheduled to deliver a luncheon speech Wednesday to St. Louis business and civic leaders hosted by Progress 64 West, a group that promotes development along the Interstate 64 corridor. * The Democratic governor met privately with Boeing executives last week as Missouri competes with at least five other states to produce the Boeing 777X commercial airplane * A new plant would likely mean thousands of new jobs. Boeing says it expects to choose a location by early 2014" -- Looks like the $15.00 minimum wage got Boeings attention, and it's not wasting any time to move out of SeaTac.
---
Online story: "SAN DIEGO (AP) — U.S. Border Patrol agents were pelted with rocks and bottles while turning back a crowd of more than 100 people who crossed the border illegally into California, authorities said. * Agents were attacked with rocks 185 times in the 2012 fiscal year, making it the second-most common type of assault, according to the Department of Homeland Security inspector general." -- "attacked with rocks 185 times in 2012"? And Judas 00-bama and his Bungling Brother's Circus want to give amnesty to an assault group? Perhaps Pric Holder should make some of those "fast & furious" program guns sent to our Border Patrol rather than Mexican drug cartels.
---
Online story: "WASHINGTON, Nov 26 (Reuters) - Two U.S. military aircraft have flown around disputed islands in the East China Sea without informing China, the Pentagon said on Tuesday, defying China's declaration that the region falls into a new airspace defense zone." -- Hmm, we know no Obamarats read the OObamaCRAP bill, but it looks like even Judas 00-bama may not have read the fine print on the loans he's taken out from China to run up the National Debt. Wonder if China will foreclose on the White House?
---
Online story: "NEW LONDON, CONN. — Nurses and other caregivers are expected to go on strike at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London after the company and union representing 800 workers failed to agree on a new contract. * The union, AFT Connecticut, accused hospital negotiators on Tuesday of refusing to continue talks. Workers were set to strike at 6 a.m. Wednesday. * The hospital says the disagreement is due to what it calls the union's "unyielding demand" for 100 percent job security. The hospital says such a demand is unrealistic because of changes in the health care industry." -- "100 percent job security"? There's not 1 executive in that hospital that has 100 percent job security; there's not 1 soldier who has that guarantee in any of our military branches. Dang, even Bill Gates doesn't have 100 percent security that Judas 00-bama won't confiscate his entire wealth.

The poverty level increase... could it be as simple as the decline in the quality of public education curriculum and preparedness?
---
Online story: "NEW YORK -- A program that provides food and nutrition assistance to millions of low-income Americans may not be effective at current funding levels, suggests a new study. * SNAP -- formerly known as food stamps -- is the largest U.S. food assistance program and reached approximately 45 million people in 2011, Rimm and his colleagues write in the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior. The program is run by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) * The researchers also found that people receiving SNAP benefits increased their consumption of refined grains like breads, pasta and rice by about one serving per day. * Those foods, they write, are linked to a higher risk of diabetes." -- Hmmm, conclusive evidence that entitlement programs drive up healthcare?
---
Online headline/story: "Ronald Reagan's Son Records Atheist Radio Ad: 'Not Afraid Of Burning In Hell' * In 2004, three weeks after his father's death, Reagan told The New York Times that he would be an "unelectable" candidate for president because of his secular affiliations. * "I’m unelectable. I’m an atheist. As we all know, that is something people won't accept,” Reagan said." -- Hmmm, seems little Ron Reagan left out the most important self-descriptive reason of why he's not electable... he's an (_*_).

Berkeley, CA. has a proposed law for tax payers to pay for sex change operations for city employees. Almonds aren't the only nuts grown in California.

Hmmm.... Word on the street is that the "heckler" reported at the Judas 00-bama "speech" was a "plant". What's new...
---
The "knockout" game/polar bear hunting incidences are growing.. We know it's not "racial" because Al Sharptongue doesn't acknowledge it, and Judas 00-bama hasn't called for a "summit",
---
L-E headline/story: "Council postpones crime prevention funding vote * Mayor Pro Tem Evelyn Turner Pugh voiced support for programs such as Boxwood, saying they’re an investment in the community. * “You can pay now or you can pay later,” she said. “You can have more police officers on the street or you can have programs like this.” -- I'd rather have the officers on the streets considering the escalation of of local crime, and the Top 5 most dangerous Cities' ranking Columbus has garnered the last two years.
---
Online quote service: "“A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.” ― Bruce Lee" -- Certainly not in the categoty of "win one for the Gipper", but probably one from a Falcons' halftime speech.
---
L-E headline/story: "BASEBALL HALL OF FAME * Columbus High alum Thomas on Hall of Fame ballot * NEW YORK — Four-time Cy Young Award winner Greg Maddux, two-time winner Tom Glavine and two-time AL MVP Frank Thomas are among 19 newcomers on this year’s Hall of Fame ballot, joining steroid-tainted holdovers Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa." -- Let's hope the BBWAA honors only those who have honored the game. Have known Frank Thomas since he was a tot (though a big tot) in his Peach LL days here in Columbus...the "Big Hurt" is one of those who has blessed and honored the history and game of baseball. Good luck, Frank!
---
L-E story: "After nearly half a century of decline in the bus industry, a new breed of sleek, Wi-Fi-pumping intercity coach is transforming the image of buses as the much-ridiculed travel option of last resort. * The new bus services are capitalizing on generational and technological shifts: younger urbanites are espousing a car-free lifestyle, and gadget-wielding travelers of all ages increasingly expect to buy tickets online and stay connected for the duration of their trip." -- In brief, the airline industry has brought itself to its knees with its gestapo like tactics. Wonder if (_*_) BAldwin will now ride the bus so he can play on his phone?
---
L-E story: "Leonardo DiCaprio wants to help the tiger population of Nepal. His Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation has awarded $3 million in grants to the World Wildlife Fund to work with the Nepal government on protecting the animals." -- Hmmm, not only does it not do the homeless in his home state any good here at the holiday season, the deduction will reduce his tax support of 00-bama entitlement programs as well.

HuffPost headline: "Joe Biden: Chicago Shelter Brings 'Hope' To Abused Women" -- ""Hope"? In Chicago? What abused women in Chicago want, need, is "change"... and they have lost hope of that.

---
HuffPost headline: "Holder Promises More Funding To Fight Street Violence" -- First,. Pric Holder cannot promise more money... he's has no vote in Congress, but if Holder just upheld the Constitution and immigration laws, we'd come out better, for cheaper.
---
HuffPost headline: "UN: Nation Descending Into 'Complete Chaos' With 'Virtual Meltdown'" -- Ooooops, my bad... first thoughts made me think of AmeriKa.
---
HuffPost headline: "Obama Meets With Family Of Slain TSA Officer" -- Hmmm, but Judas 00-bama won't even talk about or with the 4 Americans he abandoned in Benghazi.
---
Online story: "As hectic Thanksgiving week air travel builds, a Sikh group is alleging that the Department of Homeland Security is ignoring reports about airport screening discrimination, including allegations that many members of the faith are pulled aside for secondary screening. * Sikhs, often mistaken for Muslims because of the turbans many wear as a religious obligation, have been targets of discrimination and hate attacks since 9/11. Although Transportation Security Administration policies forbid travel checkpoint profiling, they also say head coverings, including turbans, are subject to secondary screening." -- It's the laws of America... if they are sick of them, move, dress accordingly, or don't fly.. Me, I'm "way" Sikh of foreign religious cultures getting preferential treatment over Christianity.

L-E headline: "Hearing for convicted 'Stocking Strangler' delayed to 2014" -- Well, let's get this over with before he dies naturally of old age!

L-E headline: "China looking for new markets in eastern Europe" -- Why Europe? Judas 00-bama said we have 7 more states even Americans are hunting for, so I'm sure we have new markets for China to look for.

Online story: "Buffalo, NY - Earlier this month, pre-K teacher Sharon D. Perry Dunnigan accused several children of coming to school with “soiled, stained, or dirty clothes,” according to Buffalo News. The educator said it makes it "difficult for me to be close to them or even want to touch them.” The note, which BUILD Academy parents were asked to sign and return, called the issue a “health and safety concern." -- Well, what do school systems expect. School systems already transport, daycare, feed and brainwash the children, so why wouldn't parents expect schools to bathe their children and wash their clothes?
---
Online story: "SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — A Sacramento judge on Monday tore up California's funding plans for its bullet train project in separate orders that could force the state to spend months or years redrawing its plans for the $68 billion rail line." -- Hmmm, wonder what's going on with the Mayor Obamalinson high-speed rail "study"? She spent $300,000.00 on it some time back, and we know that didn't take long to be spent, so what are the results?
---
Online story: "CORONA, Calif. (AP) — A Southern California high school football player is in critical condition after injuring his spinal cord during a game." -- Sympathies and prayers for the yoiung man and his family & friends, but I suspect California will rewrite its football rules and the new version will be Laser-Tackle so no one actually make contact anymore.
---
Georgia Southern beat Florida Saturday. I know it's old news, but I just like remembering it.
---
The latest from www.barackobama/organizingforaction.com: "This is mean spirited AND bad for the economy * This September, House leadership stripped $40 billion from this program, meaning -- if funding isn't restored -- 3.8 million Americans will be booted off food stamps next year, and many will lose the security of knowing how they'll feed their family" -- Aside from "another Judas 00-bama lie, there's a lot more to this story. Food stamp users have grown 70% under Judas 00-bama. 47,800,000 people (suspiciously the number of voters that Romney pointed out would never vote for him). The "$40 BILLION cut" is over a 10 year period, and basically reduces the amount to what it was when Judas 00-bama started.
---
Here's another way our school system wants to keep parents out of the equation. My daughter earned her admission to UGA last Spring through diligent work at other instate colleges. She didn't qualify for "HOPE Scholarship" out of high school, but by the time she got to UGA, she had a better that 3.0 GPA. Since then it has risen to nearly 3.4. I had her ask her advisor what it took to become HOPE eligible. Her advisor said she should have been given such prior to being admitted to UGS, but no one added her. They are refunding said amount for the last semester, and putting her on such for this Spring. They sent a refund check... of course UGA wrote it out to my daughter instead of my bride and me. Let's face it... UGA (and its no different from any other university anywhere) just doesn't want to admit that parents are part of their children's college experience.
---
Blob Beckel, Obamarat political chump and Fox News contributor, says over half the voters believe that the wealthy should pay more in taxes. Hmmm, let's see... They ALREADY DO!
---
Blob Beckel got it right and didn't even realize it. He said if you believe in a progressive tax, you're in favor of redistribution. Yes Blob, you are right.
---
From the "DOH!" department - Google was concerned about women not coming back to work after their 1/2 pay 3 month post -birth maternity leave, so Google changed and made it a post-birth 3 month maternity leave with full pay. Google is proud to say that it cut back women quitting their jobs to 50%. NO, what it did was give full pay for 3 months to women who weren't going to come back anyway. Just because you think that Google hires intelligent executives, it doesn't mean they are necessarily smart.

Seasonal mixup? The SOA protest march did not emulate the proverbial March idiom. It blew in like a liar, and left with a fizzle.
---
Maybe it:s time to rename Judas 00-bama's overall administration. I used to refer to it as Ali Obama & his 40 Tsar's. With all the scandals and ineptness that have become his legacy, how about 00-bama & Bungling Brothers Circus. Oo-bama will be the main attraction juggling clown, and the rest will climb out of FiasCo 500 car.
---
Online quote source: "“Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” ― Unknown " -- I find it hard to believe this insight isn't attributable to anyone, but more research will be done. It's the basic tenet between freedom and slavery, between capitalism and communism, and between conservatism and liberalism.
---
L-E headline: "STOCKING STRANGLINGS * GARY’S NEW TRIAL MOTION HEARING DELAYED * Attorney: Defense needs time to investigate reports of test error, new hearing is Feb. 10" -- You know, the defense attorney could have figured this out before he brought it to issue, but that wouldn't have served his purpose, and the District Attorney should have known the inormation as presented was wrong. Somehow, "we' end up paying the salaries of both of them!
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " Economists have never feared taxes. They only fear monopolies" -- Only GOVERNMENT employed economists don't fear taxes... it's their paycheck so the more the merrier. As monopolies, Government, through the courts, makes sure it has the ones it wants... i.e. post office, electric utilities, Immigration, law enforcement, military.... others it quashes...i.e. Standard Oil and AT&T,
---
Another low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " The top one percent in America made 95 percent of all wealth from 2009-2012. The 99 percent, everyone else, shared 5 percent." -- Other than "wrong", another ill-informed, unsubstantiated, liberal's whine. Sure, some people get wealthy along the way as they implement a business that creates jobs and wealth for many others. It's called the risk and reward system; capitalism. The only risk this "soundoffer" knows is that if the Obamarats lose in the next election, he's going to have to go out and work at a job he hasn't created.
---
L-E headline: "Muscogee County Democrats donate chrysanthemums to Magnolia Manor" -- Typical... they could have donated something the patients could use, but instead, have probably aggravated more allegies among the older patients.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Any fool can make a rule, and any fool will mind it.” — Henry David Thoreau, American author (1817-1862). -- How appropriate.. the iconic liberal describing today's Democratic Party mantra.
---
L-E story: "WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama told a heckler who interrupted a speech on immigration Monday that he will not circumvent Congress and try to halt deportations by executive order because the U.S. is “a nation of laws.” * “Please use your executive order!” shouted the heckler..You have the power to stop deportations!” * “Actually, I don’t,” -- Well, that hasn't stopped him before..
---
From the "only in D.C." department - L-E story: "WASHINGTON — Struggling to cover its costs, Washington National Cathedral has decided to begin charging an admission fee for tourists who visit the church beginning in 2014. * Cathedral officials said Monday that they will begin charging a $10 fee for adults and $6 for children, seniors and military members in January. Admission will be free on Sundays, as well as on weekdays for those who visit to worship or pray." -- DOH! I guess you'll have to be Episcopalian to qualify as a non-praying tourist.
---
L-E story: " WASHINGTON — The United States is spewing 50 percent more methane — a potent heat-trapping gas — than the federal government estimates, a new comprehensive scientific study says. Much of it is coming from just three states: Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas." -- Hmm, "much of it from just three states"? I guess that sorta covers up that most of it probably comes from the BS spewed in Washington, DC.
---
L-E headline: "SANDY HOOK ELEMENTARY MASSACRE *Prosecutor: Conn. gunman’s motive still a mystery" -- Well, it's no mystery that the Prosecutor needs replacing! Where's Hillary when she'd be right and pertinent.... "What difference does it make!"
---L-E headline: "Contractor charged with murder in Philadelphia building collapse" -- OK, then when will the Contractors of OObamaCRAP be arrested and charged with killing off 1/6th of our economy?
---
Our Council is deliberating 10 programs on whether to dispense (again) funds from the LOST revenues earmarked for Public Safety. One, and only one program specifically aids Public Safety.. the Chattahoochee Valley Jail Ministry which aims at reducing recidivism. That's only $41,500 of the nearly $700,000.00 on the table. It's time for Council to "man-up" and eliminate what are basically a 'bribes' for vote schemes.
---
Where's the follow-up on the letter carrier who was shot in Maryland? Now it seems there have been other letter carriers shot in Miami and Houston. Let's pray this is not a gang related game or initiation such as happening in the 'knockout/polar bear hunting' incidents now creeping into our major cities.

Monday, November 25, 2013

In Landover, MD.. a 26 year old mail delivery postal worker was shot multiple times and killed. Today it's a "man bites dog" tragic incident. Let's hope this is not one of the street thug "just for the fun of it" ways to satisfy boredom.

---
Other than his dream to "transform America" can anyone recall a campaign promise the Judas 00-bama has kept? Other than OObamaCRAP, how about "tried" to keep?
---
There's an ad campaign claiming OObamaCRAP was made the "law of the land" by the US Supreme Court. That's not what happened.. the Supremes, in a politically split decision, declared the government had the right to enact taxes, and OObamaCRAP was indeed a tax no matter how much Judas 00-bama lied about that.

---
Online story: "For decades, presidential candidates' chances in Iowa were wounded if not doomed unless they backed federal support for ethanol, a boon to the state's corn-growing economy. * That rule of politics collapsed resoundingly in the 2012 campaign when five of the six top Republican candidates said it was time for such intervention in the private market to end. * Now, Iowa's senior political leaders are pondering how to shore up political support for the corn-based fuel at a time when its economic and environmental benefits are under attack ." -- Hmm, according to Obamarats, the nation and the world are starving, and the Iowa corn growers are panicking that the subsidy for corn for ethanol use is ending. Hey, Iowa, you voted for Judas 00-bama, welcome to reality.

---
L-E headline: "Netanyahu calls Iran deal ‘a historic mistake’" -- Hmmm, wanna bet Netanyahu had another word in mind other than "mistake", but filtered it for family friendliness?
---
HuffPost headline: "Obama reaches out to Netanyahu after Iran nuclear deal" -- Betcha Netanyahu had two thoughts on the matter.... whether to leave Judas 00-bma "hanging", or to extend only his middle finger and say, "Grab hold of this".
---
Online headline: "Packers-Vikings game ends in a tie" -- Well, this will make it easy for John Madden to fill his new "All-Madden" team. Any player publicly satisfied with a tie, should be an automatic choice, and any fan of this decision get season tickets to the new "All-Madden" away games.
---
North Dakota, Wyoming, Iowa, Nebraska, Utah... what do they have in common? Well according to polling criteria, these are the 5 best run states. Note that all but Iowa voted for Romney in 2012, and after the earlier item on "corn", Iowa probably regrets its choice.
---
Conversely: Nevada, Rhode Island, Illinois, New Mexico California -- No mystery here now.. the worst 5 run states, and you guessed it, all support Judas 00-bama/
---
HuffPost headline: "Sheen donates $25K to Philippine relief efforts" -- Cheapskate! I'll donate $50,000 to the Phillippine Relief Effort if Hollywood, TV and mainstream media will just stop showing his face.

Online headline/story: "Elitists Michael Bloomberg & Ray Kelly Went After Guns – They will be Leaving their Jobs with at least 23 Armed Bodyguards Between Them * now that Kelly is leaving the police department, he's requesting six NYPD detectives to keep him and his family safe. If that wasn't enough, he'll hit the taxpayer up for approximately $120,000 per year for each of those detectives. * Not to be outdone, Mayor Bloomberg will be having an even larger security team. He will be taking about seventeen of his bodyguard team. Though he will pay them from his own pocket $150,000 per year, these men will be allowed to retire immediately and still collect their city pensions from taxpayers." --Hmm the NY Post printed a "soundoff" from an unknown submitter that nailed the situation pretty good.. "So he gives them plum jobs to keep their mouths shut." Yes... kinda like the insurance that late Mayor Martin made by having all his Mayoral documents and notes shredded by Columbus Regional when he left office.
---
Online story: "Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said on a conference call organized by Karl Rove’s Crossroads organization for large donors and their advisers on Oct. 30 that the Tea Party movement, in his view, is a “nothing but a bunch of bullies” that he plans to “punch … in the nose.” -- Amazing .. tough talk from a guy who I doubt knows how to even make a fist.
---
SafeMart Home Security won't be getting a Christmas card from Mayor Obamalinson or Council this year... again. SafeMart just published its 2013 list of "Five Most Dangerous Cities In America", and though Columbus dropped from 1st in 2012, to 5th in 2013, Columbus' overall rating climbed higher.
---
Yesterday's, instead of boosting up police coverage of crime areas, The "Council Agenda" published in the L-E revealed Council will vote Tuesday on basically taking nearly $700,000.00 out of our Public Safety LOST revenues to distribute like personal donations to their pet projects. That's basically fiduciary malfeasance .
---
L-E headline: "SOA WATCH DEMONSTRATION * Annual protest at Benning gate ends with no arrests" -- OK, enough's enough. Now, in addition to the City having to waste money on public safety personnel to observe and control the protestors, the protestors don't have enough energy left to get arrested, so the City loses out on the income to offset the public safety costs. Come on L-E drop coverage of a non-event so it will just "go away".
---
In the L-E's "Today in history" feature: "In 1999, five-year-old Elian Gonzalez was rescued by a pair of sport fishermen off the coast of Florida, setting off an international custody battle" -- Hmmm, and janet Reno, President Clinton's AG, sent jack-booted, automatic rifle armed, agents in to his kinfolks' home and dragged Elian out, and sent him back to Cuba. Why is it Democratic Presidents won't fire out-of-control Attorney Generals they appoint?
---
L-E headline: "Military alters training exercises, daily routines to deal with budget woes" -- This is horrible... The NSA, CIA, nor FBI can keep track of the movement of or stop terrorists infiltrating our country, and Juads 00-bama is cutting the military budget that doesn't actually exist in writing. "Go figure" would seem like an appropriate interjection here, but unfortunately, it's inappropriate do to the facts that Judas 00-bama 'figures' too much as it is.
---
L-E's "Quotable": “We must not always talk in the market-place of what happens to us in the forest.”
Nathaniel Hawthorne American author (1804-1864)" -- Hmm so "What goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas" is really not that original.... Blog note: one of my McElhenney ancestors was married to Hawthorne's son.
---
Ypu know, from day one, Judas 00-bama said his ObamaCare would be his legacy... he's actually right, but it's not going to be remembered by historians as any more than another piece of the OObamaCRAP puzzle.
---
For months now, the L-E has finished stories involving violence that required trips to "Midtown Medical Center" with the "footnote": " Police interviewed the victim at the Midtown Medical Center, formerly The Medical Center." All we need now is for the Medical Center to sponsor a fundraising concert featuring "formerly known as Prince". We get it, L-E, now move on.
---
L-E headline: "Alleged burglars attempt to kick down Macon Road door" -- Hmmm. I guess some car driver had a short battle with road rage.
---
L-E headline: "BCS * NIU jumps Fresno State in standings" -- You know, aside from not even knowing the locales of either of those schools, and not knowing either's mascot, does anyone really care about either of those school's BCS rankings? Who has fun even proclaiming "We're Number 2!" much less "We're number teen-something!"?
---
L-E headline: "Brian McCann agrees to contract with Yankees" -- Hmmm, may the "Curse of Biff Pocoroba" go with McCann to the Yankees. as well.

Sunday, November 24, 2013

Online story: "Willie Nelson has put his tour on hiatus after three members of his band were injured in a bus crash. * NBC News reports that at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, the bus hit a bridge pillar on Interstate 30 approximately 80 miles east of Dallas. Nelson was not on board at the time of the accident." -- Hmmm, bet the 3 injured were resting comfortably WHEN the ambulances arrived as they probably had administered medical marijuana they had in the bus's First Aid kit.
---
L-E headline: "Crowd of 1,750 calls for closing institute at Fort Benning" -- Of course, this was the number as "Hasn't Ever Ben Wright", hack reporter of the L-E came up with, so it the "wright" number was probably 17 police and 50 protestors. In "Wright-ese", 17 + 50 = 1750.
---
L-E story: "After 23 years of protesting to close the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation at Fort Benning, former Georgia NAACP State Conference president Edward DuBose used words from the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. to energize a crowd Saturday outside the Benning Road gate. * “I don’t care how many years it takes, I don’t care how few people are left when we get to the end,” said DuBose, a Columbus resident and former NAACP branch president. “Dr. King understood something that you understand now. The ark of the moral universe is long and it always bends toward justice.” -- "The ark of the moral universe is long and it always bends toward justice"? Edward Dubose...interested in "the moral universe"? Edward Dubose...interested in "justice"? I guess Dubose was in the right place speaking to the right people because Dubose's concept of "moral universe" and "justice" are just as warped as well.
---
Online headline: "Obama: Iran Deal An 'Important First Step'" -- Huh? Judas 00-bama is talking about a "first step"? We've been down this road before, and know he won't take that 'first step' over a line drawn in the sand.

Online story: "NEW YORK, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Caught flat-footed by the challenges of building the financial-management and accounting parts of the U.S. government's new online marketplace for health insurance, officials rushed to hire a familiar contractor without seeking competing bids, according to government procurement documents reviewed by Reuters. * The documents dated in August - less than two months before the opening of online marketplaces established by President Barack Obama's landmark healthcare law - showed the agency in charge had only "recently learned" that building the financial management functions was "beyond (its) currently available resources.* Those problems and others have been revealed by congressional oversight investigators who released emails and outside reports that paint an administration scrambling to meet the technological challenges of the marketplace - and usually failing to do so." -- I guess Judas 00-bama is reading about this for the first time today... yeah.. right..
---
In the same story but of bigger concern: "A few weeks after taking office in 2009, Obama issued a memorandum to government agency heads ordering them to minimize the use of non-competitive contracts, calling them potentially "wasteful, inefficient, subject to misuse." -- Talk about abuse and misuse of tax dollars, this is nothing short of political graft and bribery! Even Reid and Pelosi should be outraged by this!
---
Remember when the mainstream media went after Nixon on the basis of no man, not even the President, is above the law?
---
Online story: "Iran struck a historic nuclear deal Sunday with the United States and five other world powers, in the most significant development between Washington and Tehran in more than three decades of estrangement between the two nations" -- Yeah, right.. if you read the 'fine print'. Iran probably agreed to let the UN to only check for nuclear arms in Iran's Swiss Embassy.
---
Online headline: "Duke Lacrosse Rape Accuser Found Guilty In Boyfriend's Murder" -- Hmmm, wonder if Al Sharptongue will be back defending her virtue this time.
---
Online headline: "Zumba instructor behind sex ring released from jail" -- Hmm.. you guessed it... early release for "good behavior"... Hmmm, isn't that sorta the reason she got arrested?

Georgia Southern beat Florida... in Florida... 26-20. And they did it on the ground.. GA Southern only threw 3 passes, and completed none of those.

Passed along by a fellow BCer:
The 13th Amendment to abolish slavery was voted for by 100% of the Republicans in congress and by only 23% of the Democrats in congress.
Not one Democrat in the Congress of the United States voted for the 14th amendment declaring that former slaves were full citizens of the state in which they lived and were therefore entitled to all the rights and privileges of any other citizen in that state.
Not a single one of the 56 Democrats in Congress voted for the 15th amendment that granted explicit voting rights to black Americans.
---
McClatchy story: "WASHINGTON — After pushing through one of the most significant rule changes in Senate history, Majority Leader Harry Reid struck a solemn tone: "This is not a time for celebration." -- Huh? Not only is this an oxymoron of political-ese, Harry Reid is an old moron.
---
Arkansas is this weeks ugly uniform winner. It goes well with its ugly season, but has no place in the SEC. Missouri has 'won' once and been a contender another time, but MIZZU hasn't been around enough for chastisement. Arkansas should be embarrassed.
---
Arkansas wasn't without competition for the ugly uniform award this week. UNC was hanging in there pretty tough.

L-E story: "A possible accidental shooting has left a 15-year-old boy wounded in the neck and another teen charged with reckless conduct, Columbus police said Saturday. * A----- J---- C-----, 17, also was charged with minor in possession of a pistol and held in the Muscogee County Jail on bonds totaling $2,750. -- Again.. we are not facing a racial issue here... it's a cultural collapse.. Kids, who have been educated in public schools that they have no personal responsibility to themselves, others, or their community/country are armed. Not a good mix.
---
A fellow BCer reminds us that he remembers no shootings on his school's campus. Me neither, and I don't even recall any teacher or administrator being upset at a truck parked in the student lot with a gun rack & rifle mounted on the rear truck window.
---
Www.barackobama/organizing for action.com made fun of John Boehner getting signed up for OObamaCRAP in a single day. Let's also note it took him nearly 5 hours to complete due to error messages, so it was not very efficient Also, please note that it's pretty obvious neither Pelosi, Reid, OO-bama nor Sebelius has announced any success with signing up themselves.
---
Online quote site: " “Open your eyes, look within. Are you satisfied with the life you're living.” ― Bob Marley " -- Hmmm, bet this is not in Judas 00-bama's AM bathroom routine.

L-E headline/story: "Car tag scanners would track Tybee Island tourists * Tybee Island Mayor Jason Buelterman says the city government mostly wants car tag data for a tourism study to help secure state and federal funding for beach maintenance projects" -- I've already opined on this last week, but it has 'finally"
shown up in the L-E, so I will comment again. The Mayor's "reasoning'" violates the 4th Amendment. and as far as I'm concerned, Tybee Island will not see my tag (or my money) in the future. Tag scanners used by police for police business are one thing.. in the hands of politicians is another.
---
The L-E published a list of names that new MCSD superintendent David Lewis has met with since he came to Columbus... not only is it unabashed 'name dropping', it's also a huge waste of 'trees'. The L-E could have listed the names in one sentence.. no actually a phrase if the L-E simply said Lewis had met with "the usual suspects".
---
Speaking of names that were "dropped".. the name Karl Douglass appears on that list as a 'local real estate broker". How about "the rest of the story". Douglass is also a columnist for the L-E AND a paid re-election staffer for Congressman Bishop. That makes me very wary... a real estate broker/columnist who's connected with a Congress man but the L-E never connects that triad.

L-E "Quotable": “When evangelical Christians are willing to overlook a politician’s three marriages spiced with open adultery as long as he’s good on school prayer, we clearly have moved to a new point in this ongoing discussion. - Michael Kinsley, American journalist, (1951- )" -- Well, he almost got it right. The most needed discussion is why Democratic Party bloc voters will re-elect a Democratic politician with those flaws just because the politician says he/she supports (but actually doesn't) the one issue the bloc voter bases his/her choice on.
---
From the Council Agenda published in the L-E:
Grants requested from Public Safety LOST revenues:
BOXWOOD PROJECT - $80,000.00
COLUMBUS TECHNICAL COLLEGE, NONVIOLENT FELON EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM - $80,000.00
FAMILY CENTER OF COLUMBUS, F.A.S.T. PROGRAM - $87,000.00
ADULT DRUG COURT - $75,000.00
E.I.T.A. (Education Is The Answer Inc.) - $45,000.00
MENTAL HEALTH COURT - $75,000.00
CHATTAHOOCHEE VALLEY JAIL MINISTRY INC - $41,500.00
LITERACY ALLIANCE OF COLUMBUS PROGRAM - $105,000.00
NEIGHBORHOOD FOCUSED ON AFRICAN AMERICAN YOUTH IN - $55,000.00
SAMARC FOUNDATION - $50,000.00
Here is $693,500.00 worth of Public Safety funds being given to programs that for the most part pay administrative costs with tax dollars. There are a couple, but no more, recipients that will use the money fpr recipients' needs. What I would like to see is that each grant recipient document it's organizations total receipts and expenses to be within certain parameters before any grants are made, and we're talking about 990 forms and IRS forms being submitted with any requests.

One of the lesser known aspects of the McCarron legacy at Alambama is that big brother completed a pass to his little brother. I bet mom & dad were more proud of that than either son or Coach Saban.

Online headline: "AUSTRALIAN MCDONALD'S BLARES OPERA MUSIC TO CHASE LATE-NIGHT TEENS AWAY" -- Hmmm, guess this could be best described as "Faust Food"?
---
Hmmm, just heard a tale about a 1960 plot to kill JFK. The plot was disrupted by a New Ham[shire Postmaster who alerted the Secret Service a former employee was stalking President-elect Kennedy, and had planned to ram Kennedy's car with his dynamite-loaded car. History was inevitable though, and some other PO employee became the coiner of the term "going postal" 23 years later.

From the "now it's crystal clear" department: "One of my daughters is taking early education courses at our local university, but I'm pretty sure the course is system wide if not universal in America. Her current assignment to "Design the perfect school and ideal classroom". "perfect...ideal"? I think this nutshell's the basic problems in a liberal run education system... striving for perfection and idealism through the eyes of a college student or administrator, for that matter. In the private world, we know there is no such thing a perfect building or room. Private industry strives to find the best functional answers that have the flexibility to be adapted to many changing needs. In education, it seems we have elite panels that come up with a curriculum to install for every situation, and when it fails, another panel solves it with another curriculum overhaul, and when that fails another panel makes another overhaul...so on and so on...(as Buzz Lightyear would say) 'to infinity and beyond"! Hmmm, wonder if the students get extra credit for planning a parent-free school building?
---
Online story: "The Texas Board of Education gave preliminary approve Thursday to dropping algebra II as a requirement for high school students to graduate, over the objections of critics who say the state is watering down its academic standards. The state is also stepping back from the strenuous accountability policies it has long been a national leader in championing, amid fears that youngsters are being forced to take too many high-stakes tests and that too many might drop out because of higher expectations." -- Here's one of those elite panel implementations. This is akin to having a 110 yard high hurdle race, and removing the hurdles to make it easier.

McClatchy headline/story: "City Where It's Now Illegal to Smoke in Your Own Home * The town of San Rafael, Calif., has passed a ban on smoking that city officials have called the most stringent in the nation. The new ordinance makes it illegal for residents to smoke in their own homes if they share a wall with another dwelling. The ban applies to owners and renters alike, and it covers condominiums, co-ops, apartments and any multi-family residence containing three or more units." -- You betcha.. California...Forget that cigarettes are a legal product that the government is banning the use of in your own home, but can you imagine the culture clash when California votes in federally illegal marijuana usage, yet tries to ban that from homes?
---
McClatchy headline: "Obama to pardon Thanksgiving turkey" -- Now the guessing begins.. Holder. Lerner, one of the Generals or Admirals fired, Snowden, Hillary, or some surprise turkey to be named later?
---
Judas 00-bama is heading to Seattle and San Francisco this weekend to raise money for Obamarat candidates in 2014. Of course, his TelePrompTers are going as well. There's just something wrong when a man makes a pitch, an impassioned plea, and reads it off a TelePrompTer.
----
McClatchy headline: "Obama rolls out red carpet for French president" -- Hmmm, I guess it makes the white surrender flags stand out better.
---
There's an Overlook Tour of Homes scheduled as a fund raiser. 5 house in Overlook are being featured. Four of the houses are listed as the home of "Mr & Mrs So&so". One of the house is listed as the home of "Mayor Teresa P. Tomlinson and Wade H. Tomlinson" -- Only Mayor Obamalinson can make a fundraiser for charity so political. Isn't she ever part of "Mr & Mrs Tomlinson"?
---
Missed this yesterday, but Government Motors is going to sell its last GM share before the end of the year. If the current price holds up under this large sale, the government will only (yeah ONLY) end up losing $10 BILLION dollars of the taxpayers. In effect, Judas 00-bama gave the unions a $10 BILLION dollar taxpayer funded bribe to get re-elected.
---
Recent happenings of video recorded sucker punch attacks by gangs of black teens on white victims called "knockout/polar bear hunting" are not new. They've been escalating since 2010 (and probably earlier), but largely ignored by mainstream media. I ask, where are Judas 00-bama, Price Holder, and Al Sharpton? Where are CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and MSNBC?
---
Don't let the Obamarats get away with this. Now,the 2015 OObamaCRAP enrolment date has been moved out 1 more month to get past the November 2014 General Elections. No Obamarat wants the job of having to defend OObamaCRAP snafus while they are fresh on voters' minds, especially while campaigning for reelection.

I understand a catastrophic insurance policy with a high deductible... that's what people consider sort if a umbrella protection for family protection from really serious illnesses/surgeries. I do not understand high deductibles on preventive health insurance policies. There's plenty of averages to balance out normal needs of the average family that a well priced policy can make good coverage available and insure insurance companies can be profitable.
---
Fox has got to go back to its previous booking scheduled. Juan Willis and Bob Beckel and other liberal commentators have so much face time, the normal Fox people spend too much time trying to get them to back up their comments/opinions with facts that the normal Fox personnel don't have much time to focus on the news and truth.
---
Why is the L-E still shilling for the SOA Watch? The SOA has been defunct for years, and the protester base has dropped to a couple of thousand (if that many) people with nothing better or constructive to do.
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Why don’t Republican voters who spout Fox’s anti-socialist/pension rhetoric give up your Social Security and Medicare checks and practice what you preach?" -- Only those who don't actually contribute FICA taxes, well, has the government taking it out of your earnings, seem to equate Social Security checks and MediCare coverage with all government entitlement programs. Few are the people who will actually get back the amount (sans interest and growth) they paid in all their working life.
---
Oh, I guess the banking industry has has enough of Judas 00-bama. 00-bama has issued an order for flags to be flown at haft mast yesterday. Drove by the Whitesville Road CB&T, and the flag wqas flying high. Guess paying off the TARP loan has rid CB&T of the OO-bamaLoan shackles.

From the "good grief" department - L-E story: "AUBURN — An Auburn University fraternity is suspended from campus over claims that brothers mistreated new members. * The Opelika-Auburn News reports that the university’s chapter of the Sigma Chi social fraternity has been suspended by the national fraternity for hazing. * Chapter officer Michael Ciatto says the allegations included claims about long, late-night study halls. Others claims included allegations that new members called pledges were forced to run errands for initiated brothers and take them to class. * The group can’t operate again at Auburn until January 2015." -- Making pledges be back at a decent hour to study is "hazing"? This should be the final nail in the coffin of Political Correctness.

I'll never forget this day from 1963. I was in study Hall in the CHS Auditorium. The Ham Radio Club had a radio room in the ceiling above the auditorium stage, All of a sudden the trap door flew open, and a harried voice rung out, "President Kennedy has been shot!" The 100 or so students in the auditorium had to be some of the first in Columbus to know what had happened. That memory is as vivid today as then.

HuffPost headline: "Chris Christie: Can He Avoid Becoming The Next Marco Rubio?" -- "become the next"? Christie is already TWO Marco Rubios.
---
We remember all the speeches then Senator 00-bama made about Bush43 raising the Nation Debt, but now we have video of campaign mode Judas 00-bama chastising Bush43 about overriding Congressional laws with Executive Orders. You know, this is the plight of habitual liars... they can't remember who they told what lies.
---
Online headline: "Obama Orders Flags To Be Flown At Half-Staff On JFK Assassination Anniversary" -- You know, Judas 00-bama will wake up this AM, look out across Washington and see all the flags at half-mast, and he'll think they are there because of his order. I imagine they would be at half-mast anyway.
---
Online story: "Former NFL linebacker Channing Crowder played with the Miami Dolphins for six seasons. He played in 82 games throughout his career. At one point during all 82 games, the former Dolphins linebacker says he peed on himself. * "I never went to the bathroom in the toilet. Every game I peed myself. Six years straight I peed down my leg," Crowder said on NFL Films Presents. "I would just be in the huddle and just... pee. Nobody in the stands would know unless you look down like, 'that's not water man.' My teammates didn't enjoy it as much as I did." -- The new All-Madden team is falling in place, and all of a sudden, a new class of Fantasy Football League teams is getting put together by itself.
---
Online story: "The long-heralded feminist and mouthpiece for unrestrictive abortion Gloria Steinem was honored by President Obama. In addition to honoring Steinem, he also made the opportunity for Steinem to honor her philosophical mentor Margaret Sanger (1879-1966). * Sanger’s birth control and eugenics organization became what we know today as Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the United States. * Sanger’s views were no different from those of Adolf Hitler and his call for a pure Master Race. She was all about keeping what she described as the “unfit” from breeding in order to “create a race of thoroughbreds. * So here we have President Obama awarding the Medal of Freedom to a woman who extols the virtues of Margaret Sanger who wanted a pure-race world free of the likes of someone like Obama." -- Now, I do suspect that Judas 00-bama finally will actually be right when he says later on today that he first read about this in the newspaper.

Online story: "Lunenburg High School (MA) will forfeit the remaining two games of its football season after an ugly incident in which a student’s home was defaced with racist graffiti. * “That was a decision made by the superintendent and the School Committee,” said Town Manager Kerry Speidel. “I feel it is the right decision.” * Isaac Phillips, a member of the school’s Blue Knights football team, found the graffiti spray-painted on his home Friday. Police and the FBI are investigating. * Isaac’s family had urged the school system to shut down the season, especially if the crime was not solved. Phillip’s father is half black and his mother is white. * “I feel they shouldn’t play,” said Anthony Phillips, Isaac’s father, at a vigil on Sunday night." -- Good grief! Find the players and deal with them, but to punish the whole team just makes this kid's father a contender for the new All-Madden team. And the FBI is involved? You know, this makes me wonder exactly how diverse the MA schools really are. Since the 60's MA politicians have railed against Southern segregation as though MA schools had done it perfectly. I thought that until 1992, when two teams, one all white, and one all black were to meet for the Boston area championship. An article in the paper announced that buses would be sent to the schools involved, pick up the players and the cheerleaders, and whisk them off to an unannounced location to play the championship game at 11:00 AM with zero fans/parents in the bleachers. It doesn't sound like Massachusetts has evolved very much.
---
Online story: "NEW YORK (AP) — Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is awash in animal-related protests over its floats, with controversies involving the unlikely pairing of rocker Joan Jett and Shamu the killer whale. * Activists plan to line the route of next week's parade to protest a SeaWorld float over accusations in a new documentary that the theme parks treat whales badly. And ranchers succeeded in getting Jett pulled off the South Dakota tourism float after they questioned why the vegetarian and animal-rights ally was representing their beef-loving state." -- You know, some people cannot be happy unless they are miserable. PETA is a group of these people.
---
I've about had it with MLB "stars". A-rod...a guy who's turned a penchant and talent for a kid's game into a personal fortune and had been caught, multiple times for PEDs, is now whining because MLB has had enough of drugs in its sport. You know, players like A-rod think it's OK to put medicines of their choice in their bodies, but cry when it comes to taking the 'medicine' needed to cure baseball of this plague.
---
I'm in heaven... I'm down in our playroom watching my 18 month old granddaughter at play.. she's wearing a pair of boots. As she quirkily moves around the room, I'm thinking how much she walks like Fred Gwynne wearing his Herman Munster lift shoes. All the world is wonderful. (Pssst..don't tell me you cannot visualize her walking like this)
---
When you're hot, you're hot. When you're not... Judas 00-bama has a proven track record of ignoring the Constitution, especially the 10th, but OObamaCRAP may be the final straw... Even with Judas 00-bama's attempted coup of 00bamaCRAP, he has even less authority to over rule laws that individual states have passed to conform with 00bamaCRAP.
---
Online story: "California's new health exchange will not allow canceled policies to extend past the end of the year, defying President Barack Obama's effort to repair his pledge that people can keep their current plans. " -- God is good.. Not long after I put down the above item in a memo to myself, this story about California challenging Judas 00-bama's attempted coup of the 10th Amendment hit the Internet. You know, if California were casting it's Electoral College votes today, there would probably be an 110 vote swing, Take away California's votes for 00-bama, and disqualify Illinois votes for probable vote fraus cause, and Romney would be President.
---
L-E story: "The DNA test that appeared to clear convicted "Stocking Strangler" Carlton Gary in one of the heinous serial killings of 1977-78 was wrong, according to prosecution court filings today. * The documents state the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in a report dated Nov. 14 found the male DNA profile attributed to evidence tested from Martha Thurmond’s Oct. 25, 1977, rape and strangling “is actually the result of contamination from a quality-control sample.” * The agency has confirmed the error, having “conclusively matched the errant DNA profile to a quality control sample maintained by the laboratory,” according to the motion filed by District Attorney Julia Slater and Senior Assistant District Attorney Don Kelly." -- Case closed! Carry out Gary's death sentence today! (note to foreign, younger, and non-area readers: Carlton Gary terrorized Columbus back in the late 70's with his brutal rapes and murders of older, defenseless women in some of Columbus' older neighborhoods)
---
Online headline/story: "Most of NSA’s data collection authorized by order Ronald Reagan issued * Approved by President Ronald Reagan in 1981, Executive Order 12333 (referred to as “twelve-triple-three”) still governs most of what the NSA does. It is a sweeping mandate that outlines the duties and foreign intelligence collection for the nation’s 17 intelligence agencies. It is not governed by Congress, and critics say it has little privacy protection and many loopholes. What changes have been made to it have come through guidelines set by the attorney general or other documents." -- Well, seeing how the Internet and radio/cell phones were pretty much non-existent for average Americans in 1981, it looks like subsequent Attorney Generals have pretty much overturned any safeguards that were intended in the original 1981 authorization. Obviously Pric Holder has run amok with the power.
---
Harry Reid has changed the rules in the Senate on confirmations. Using a back way method, he has changed the confirmation process of appointees to a simple majority versus a super majority. In other words, the controlling party in the Senate has an unchecked power to confirm questionably qualified nominees. On the other hand, pay back is hell when there's a swing of power to the other party, and changes like Dingy Harry just made often encourage such in the next election. With any luck, Reid will be out of his day job in early 2015.
---
McClatchy headline/story: "The nation’s largest news organizations lodged a complaint Thursday against the White House for imposing unprecedented limitations on photojournalists covering President Barack Obama, which they say have harmed the public’s ability to monitor its own government. * “Journalists are routinely being denied the right to photograph or videotape the president while he is performing his official duties,” according to a letter the organizations sent to the White House. “As surely as if they were placing a hand over a journalist’s camera lens, officials in this administration are blocking the public from having an independent view of important functions of the executive branch of government.” -- Well, mainstream media, welcome to pre-holocaust Germany under Hitler. Perhaps a song idea of Toby Keith might become the mainstream media's rally theme, "How do you like him now!"
---
From the "we will never have to wonder again" department: My daughter ordered a protective phone case for her new phone. Yesterday afternoon, I was notified that the order had been shipped and got the USPS tracking number. This AM, I clicked on the tracking info and found how the shipment was progressing. It left the USPS Sort Facility in Pensacola and arrived at Miramar Beach, FL at 4:00 PM. It left Miramar Beach at 5:40. It arrived back at the Pensacola Sort Facility at 8:16. After 4 hours and 16 minutes, and untold fuel and labor and equipment expense, her phone case has progressed zero feet. Ain't government AND union workers efficient? Hmm, probably explains why our public education system sucks as well.
---
With a thought assist from a fellow BCer: As it stands now, more people have seen Bigfoot than have successfully signed up on 00bamaCRAP. Choke on that, Ripley!

You know, about the only immigration reform idea that will actually help America is to send Pric Holder to Reform School.
---
Remember when the Clintons tried to overwhelm our healthcare system... we called it HillaryCare then and still do. Now Judas 00-bama wants to stop referring to his ObamaCare bill, and start using Affordable Care Act. I guess he's afraid it might taint his legacy in the future. Guess what 00-bama, people aren't going to remember it as ObamaCare or Affordable Care Act... they will remember it for what it is...00bamaCRAP.

L-E story: "Phenix City unveiled an ambitious plan Thursday to revitalize the Thirteenth Street corridor, bringing the empty site of the old Cobb Hospital into the mix. * The city would swap two acres of the 18-acre hospital land to the Fletcher McCollister American Legion Post 135 in exchange for its 2-acre property at the corner of 13th Street and Broad Street. The city would also build a new $3.5 million facility for the American Legion, surrounded by a $3 million “Homage Park,” to pay tribute to the five branches of the U.S. armed forces — the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard, Phenix City Mayor Eddie Lowe announced.
* “What we want to do here in Phenix City is have a niche, something that is so unique that it will be the best in the state if not the best in the country,” Lowe said. “We want to pay homage to each branch of the military." -- Nice try, Phenix City, but I think the military will never forget the 1940s-50s image of Phenix City no matter how much lipstick you put on.
---
L-E story: "If you think the only ones in the huge Olympic-sized pool in the Columbus Aquatic Center are young, fit swimmers dreaming of making it to the next Olympics, you'd be wrong. * Since it opened Aug. 10, Amanda Hamrick, the program director, has seen a wide range of people. * And she wants to see even more in the facility" -- OK, let's see some hard numbers on revenues, usage and expenses.
---
From the 'I've been thinking about this again" department - Edward Dubose has gone to Chicago to discuss how to curb black-on-black crime. It's bad enough that he's limiting the discussion to just black-on-black crime, but why didn't he start here in Columbus to discuss all the woes of all black crime?
---
L-E story: " CENTENNIAL, Colo. — The judge in the Colorado theater shootings case on Thursday indefinitely postponed the trial of James (_*_) so attorneys can argue whether he should undergo another psychiatric evaluation." -- Hey, while we're at, why not just plan for a best 2-out-of-3 series or maybe a round of rock/paper/scissors? Enough wasting of tax dollars.. The only question that needs to be looked at is whether there's any witness there who says he wasn't the (_*_) who did that. Hang'em high!
---
Hmmm, 50 years ago, the United Givers Fund volunteers were trying to raise $668,013 dollars. That amount wouldn't even pay the salaries/expense of today's United Way organization.
---
L-E story: "WASHINGTON — The number of homeless people in the U.S. declined for a third straight year, helped by sharp dropoffs in veteran and chronic homelessness, according to a government survey released Thursday." -- Please don't tell Mayor Obamalinson... she'll take credit.
---
L-E headline/story: "Skakel freed on bail as he awaits new Connecticut trial * Skakel, the 53-year-old nephew of Robert F. Kennedy’s widow, Ethel, touched his hand to his chest and looked back at supporters in the courtroom... as the judge set bail at $1.2 million * A judge ruled last month that Skakel’s trial attorney, Michael Sherman, failed to adequately represent Skakel in 2002 " -- This is pure BS.. The Kennedys probably owned the lawyer and the judge of the day. No verdict should be overturned on the basis of representation, especially when a high profile defendant is so politically connected. I can see where a judge presented with credible new evidence might order a new trial on such basis.. but not on what the judge ordered this.
---
L-E's "Quotable": “Too often we enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.” John F. Kennedy 35th U.S. President (1917-1963) -- Wow... Kennedy self-prophesied today's liberals and mainstream media in 13 words.

From the "we knew Hollywood was warped" department- L-E movie review: " “Dallas Buyers Club” can be faulted for hiding the death sentences that AIDS handed out in the ’80s, for casting things a tad too on the nose — with Steve Zahn as Woodroof’s cop pal and Dallas Roberts as his drawling, sympathetic lawyer. * But that takes nothing away from this thoroughly entertaining jaunt through AIDS history . “Dallas Buyers Club” is one of the best pictures of the year." -- "thoroughly entertaining jaunt through AIDS history"? What sickos! There was nothing entertaining about AIDS in the '80s. I can remember when my doctors were concerned for me because I'd had a 'packed pint' (literally 4 pints worth of red corpuscles "packed" into a single transfusion of blood) given me following a near death experience of internal bleeding because of ulceration. I was told the incubation period for AIDS was 5 years, and that when the blood was originally donated, no tests were made to check for the AIDS virus. There was absolutely nothing "entertaining" about this jaunt through time

L-E headline: "EXPERTS: HEALTHCARE.GOV   FIX NEEDS MORE TIME, MONEY" -- DOH! Name me one government program that doesn't need more time and more money tp "fix" it. Trouble is, it doesn't matter how much time or money you pour into a government program.. (as Ron White would aptly say) "you can't fix stupid"!
