Online story: "With banks closed for a fourth day and capital controls in
place, the future of the left-wing government hangs on the result, given the
angry mood of voters in Greece, torn between resentment of the lenders and scorn
for their own politicians. * "People have lost it completely. And it's all the
fault, one hundred percent, of all the politicians. They are to blame for the
situation we are in now," -- Hmmm substitute "America" for "Greece" and you can
see the "sequel".. and Democrats would still vote for Hillewinsky...
---
Online headline: "Oregon launches program to tax drivers by the mile" --
Democrats will do anything to discourage hard working voters from going to the
polls..- On a serious note.. I'm sure the US Supreme Court... well, I used to
feel sure about the US Supreme Court, would strike this down if there was no
provision for not charging a "poll tax" if people had to pay for mileage to/from
the polls.
---
Online headline: "'Teflon' Donald Trump not feeling backlash in polls" --
Reminds me of the 1976 movie "Network" when the news anchor "lost it" and
pronounced, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" and the
effect across the nation. Americans are responding that they feel like the
citizens of Greece and do not want to be the next victim of politicians.
---
Online headline: "Official: ISIS leader is killed in US drone strike" --
Good grief.. a few hundred thousand to kill a flea who has 10 brothers ready to
die for jihad.. it's sorta like cutting the head off of the Hydra, two more grow
back.

Online story: "According to the The Washington Post, the University of
Missouri-Kansas City originally wanted to book Hillary Clinton to speak at the
opening of a women's hall of fame. * That dream died when they discovered her
usual high fee of $275,000, reportedly prompting an emailed response from a
university official of "Yikes!" * So they went with the next best thing –– her
daughter Chelsea. Her fee was a meager $65,000." -- Well, $65K does SEEM to be a
bargain compared to $275K.. but didn't Chelsea leave her cream puff job at
$600,000 NBCjob because she didn't want it to be "about the money"? Hmmm at $65K
per hour, she could earn that in one day's worth of Travel Time flying
back&forth across the country.

On the above item - Comment... surely UMKC will not include Hillewinsky in
its "Women's Hall of Fame" .. unless it's in the "Greedy" section..
---
Online headline: "This year’s college football semifinals (the Cotton and
Orange bowls) will be played on Dec. 31, a date that does not benefit sports
television viewers." -- Good grief...this would pretty much make the traditional
January 1st Bowl Day obsolete as none of the Top 4 teams would be involved, but
looking into the future, what would be the impact of 75,000 fairly sober fans
exiting the Sugar Bowl into the streets of drunken Bourbon Street in New Orleans
at midnight?

Apparently, Mayor TomLYINGson takes care of her friends. I read the City's
Holiday Services ad about our regularly scheduled Thursday garbage pick up day
being changed to Wednesday, and we were the only ones that had our garbage cans
out on the street Wednesday. Seeing this, I alerted our Homeowners' Association
to alert the neighbors and it went unheeded.. I guess a phone call from a
retired General got a special run to our neighborhood on Thursday, because
garbage was also picked up. My guess is that the Mayor's friends are not going
to like once-a-week pickups beginning in September, but then again, when you
"can make ONE CALL, THAT's ALL" and get garbage picked up at your own
convenience, who cares...

Walmart has really stepped into its own poop, and it's not going to go away
anytime soon. Over reacting to mainscream media hysteria over the abusive use of
Southern heritage, its bakery denied to make a Confederate Flag cake for a
cusy=tomer.. BUT agreed to make him cake in the style of an ISIS...a pure
terrorist element... flag. Sure, Walmart apologized for that stupidity, but not
for dumping Confederate merchandise. I think I will go to the Walmarts in
Columbus, load up my cart with ice cream, then go by the bakery and order a
Confederate cake..if I get the same rejection, I think I shall write a note
saying that since I can't ALL my party goods there, I will go elsewhere, then
leave the cart full of ice cream in the party goods section..and leave the
store.

Online news: "The chief technology officer at the IRS was "blown away"
after learning backup tapes that likely contained messages to and from
controversial ex-official Lois Lerner were destroyed, according to an internal
government watchdog report. * According to the report, IRS Chief Technology
Officer Terry Milholland told the IG office he was "blown away" after learning
the tapes had been demagnetized -- a process known as "degaussing."" --
Hmmm..guess we'll see that he "retires" real soon.

Related to the above - From same story above: "Late Thursday Rep. Elijah
Cummings, D-Md., ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and
Government Reform, responded to the report, saying, “After spending more than
$20 million and three years investigating, the Inspector General’s conclusions
remain the same: there is no evidence to substantiate Republican claims of
political motivation, White House involvement, or intentional destruction of
evidence. It’s time to stop this political witch hunt and focus on
investigations that impact American’s lives." -- Is there any doubt as to which
party endorses the budgets wastes? Cummings & his Democratic Party cohorts
have been undermined the investigation at every opportunity.
---
Online headline: "Obama: Americans need to shift religious views to accept
gay marriage" -- Hmmm...Obamageddon always KNOWS what WE need to do, but knows
nothing about what he NEEDS to do until he reads about it after the fact. WE
need Obamageddon to do what is RIGHT!.. Hmmm.. that's the "Hope & Change" we
need in 2016.

Two Argentinian Airline pilots were fired for allowing a Playboy model to
fly their plane..Sorta brings a secondary meaning to the mile-high-club.
---
Online story: "DETROIT - Michael Lynch, chief security officer for DTE
Energy Co, says three line crews have been robbed at gunpoint of cash and
cellphones while trying to restore power in Detroit after weekend storms." --
Hmmm.. truly a lack of respect... but on the other hand.. possibly a little
"turn about is fair play" going on?
---
Online headline: "Macon chamber announces $2.7 million campaign to attract
businesses, jobs " -- Oooops, my bad.. thought the Macon Chamber was going to
support somebody else rather than Congressman Sanfor Bishop.

Name me two presidents that embraced the Confederate flag in office?.. Jimmy Carter
and Bill Clinton

From a fellow BCer. (and resident "legal eagle") - Comment on pluses and
minuses benefits of being a lawyer in same-sex/polygamous marriage divorces etc:
"Just imagine the bonanza for probate lawyers if polygamy became legally
institutionalized.

L-E's associate professor's comments: "John A. Tures: How we won
independence … in 1778 * I'm sure several of you are shaking your heads,
wondering if I got the title wrong. But while American political figures
officially declared their independence on July 4, 1776, winning it was another
matter. And that came on a hot day in June, instead of a cold day in December."
-- Seems a little bit like liberal "cherry picking".. the first step taken in
1776, coupled with patriotic desire and resolve for freedom carried the new
Republic until military victories won out for our fledgling country. Without
July 2nd-4th, 1776, there's be no June of 1778.
---
L-E story: " A Muscogee County Superior Court jury did not buy Shakeim
Malcolm Dorsey’s contention that he killed Derickes Maurice Miles in 2013 in
self-defense. * After deliberating for less than 90 minutes on Thursday, the
six-man, six-woman jury found Dorsey guilty of malice murder. " -- "malice
murder"? Guess the jury just couldn't "pull the trigger' and call it a "hate"
crime.....
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “I suppose it can be truthfully said that Hope
is the only universal liar who never loses his reputation for veracity.” —
Robert G. Ingersoll, American lawyer, politician (1833-1899). -- Whatta
visionary... Looks like Ingersoll looked into a crystal ball of the future and
saw Clinton, "The Man from HOPE" and Obamageddon, "Mr HOPE and Change"
coming...
