Rumor has it that the White House has replaced "Hail to the Chief" with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" as the Obamageddon's official introductory song.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Putin congratulates Obama" -- Hmmm... This is sort of like the feeling we had when Obamageddon was awarded "The Nobel Peace Prize"; 6 years later we are still asking, "What for?".
---
Online story: " Members of Congress return Tuesday from July Fourth fireworks and parades facing a daunting summer workload and an impending deadline to fund the government or risk a shutdown in the fall." -- Good grief.. Working America returns today.. no wonder Congress doesn't get things done!
---
Online headlie: "Kerry: Iran nuclear talks 'could go either way'" -- Hmmm.. what're the choices down to.. worse or worst? Hey, I'll bet the only things the Iranians think will go either way are the White House, the Supreme Court.. and Kerry.
---
HuffPOOPOO "headlie": "Negotiating a Good Iran Deal" -- Good grief...Which side is the HuffPOOPOO on? There is no "good deal" for America.
---
Online headline: "David Sweat put on suicide watch in NY prison" -- Good grief.. just give him a rope and back off.. maybe NY will reinstate the death penalty and do it's job when heinous murderers are convicted.
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "'Silent Sam' Confederate Statue At UNC Vandalized" -- You know, Vandalizing such monuments under the cover of darkness and secrecy is just as cowardly as the nighttime purges of the KKK.
---
You know.. the rally cry of "Black Lives Matter" is wearing pretty thin when the black communities do or say nothing about the black lives that were shot and killed in Chicago over the 4th of July weekend.. the last count I saw was 82 shot and 15 died.
---
I think I may have an idea why Chicagoans shot each other so much over the weekend.. too many rules about shooting fireworks.. You have to have a license/permit, and you cannot shoot them off betweem 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Hey, the same laws apply to guns, too, but the Chicago Police will arrest you if you're not following the laws about shooting off fireworks, and neighbors will snitch of illegal fireworkd being shot.

God had truly blessed our country over the last 400 years. Now, ask yourself, in your private lives and at the ballot box, are you doing your best to honor God's work?
---
Random thought: When you look at the politicians on the ballots, do you consider their respect for God as the most important indicator as to how he/she will serve America? If not, why would you vote for him/her?
---
It's going on as I write this thought down, but I wish I could influence the Greek voters to vote against what the government officials are wanting. Truth is, all the government workers want to do is protect their own jobs/interests. Sorta like the MCSD when it pits a SPLOST referendum on the ballot. Voting against what career politicians want is a good rule of thumb
---
L-E headline: "GREEKS REJECT DEMANDS FOR MORE AUSTERITY IN KEY REFERENDUM" -- Doh! We gotta be on the lookout for a sudden Obamageddon embrace of and invitation to, the "NO" voters in Greece. They'd be sure fire Democrat Party voters in America. The referendum was no different than asking entitlement receivers if they would endorse a cutback on freebies.
---
Why are other Republican candidates dumping on Trump? Don't they understand that by harping on one of their own's opinion, and especially blowing it out of proportion, that mainstream media keeps pounding ALL Republicans into the same corner?
---
L-E story: "OLYMPIC HOPEFUL IN GA. * Since arriving two years ago in Augusta, Pardon Ndhlovu has enjoyed training at a popular location. The long-distance runner frequents the Augusta Canal for several reasons. “It’s good for my legs and good for my knees,” he said. “And it motivates you, because you see a lot of people on it. You see some of the regulars and they call you by name and I don’t really know who they are.” -- Calling him by name? Maybe they are peeved and saying, "Pardon, YOU!" or "Pardon me.. for being in your way." Well, let's hope not..
---
L-E story: "Those who live on the banks of Lakes Oliver, Goat Rock and Harding are seeing the annual return of a relatively new nemesis — hydrilla. * The underwater weed grows like kudzu and can clog coves and inlets, making watercraft practically impossible to use. It’s only been present locally for a few years, but it is already a major headache for the Georgia Power Company, which owns the three lakes. * the lake resources manager for Georgia Power’s Land Management Office, said he monitors the plant in all three lakes year-round, * “We’re utilizing every option available to us by law.”" -- "every option available to us by law"? Good grief.. the EPA doesn't ALLOW anything that will work.. The EPA just smiles when people are threatened by out-of-control flora and fauna growth.
---
Truncated L-E headline: "church presents hazard to curious kids" -- you know.. this is what's wrong with the direction of America.. liberals and mainscream media trying to keep children out of churches...
---
A "truly get's it" L-E "soundoff": " Thank you, L-E writers, for glamorizing our local criminals by continually using their gangsta nicknames in headlines and stories." -- Not to mention what prospective businesses and home buyers see when they research Columbus, GA as a possible place to locate.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Freedom is always and exclusively freedom for the one who thinks differently.” — Rosa Luxemburg, Polish-German revolutionary (1871-1919)." -- Hmmm, we certainly won't see this posted in any welfare office, public school classroom, nor on a poster at a Democratic Party voter registration drive.
---
L-E headline/story: "GOV. SAYS CHURCH SHOOTING HAS FOREVER CHANGED HER OUTLOOK * For five years, Gov. Nikki Haley, South Carolina’s first minority governor, dismissed calls to remove the Confederate battle flag from the Statehouse lawn as a divisive issue far from her agenda." -- Good grief.. If the "Rainbow" or American flag had been there in its place, that would not have stopped the loon that killed those 9 people!
---
L-E Commentary: Maybe a job for Jimmy Carter * (by) Millard Grimes * The seven major nations and iran have extended their talks concerning iran’s development of nuclear power. now would also be an appropriate time to expand the scope of the talks, to include more immediate problems in the middle east. * Peace is difficult, but President Jimmy Carter proved it is possible when by force of will, he negotiated the peace treaty between egypt and israel in 1979. observers said it would never last, but 36 years later the two nations that had been bitter enemies before the Camp David accords are still at peace." -- "36 years later the two nations ....are still at peace"? Good grief.. but before I comment further on what Grime considers "peace", what does he think... uh, "feel" he contributing by failure to capitalize the first letters of proper nouns (Iran, Egypt, ISIL, Iraq, Arabia, India, Russia and Israel) yet doing so for jimmy carter? Now.. if you call Egypt furnishing weapons and allowing tunnels into Israel as "peaceful" actions.. maybe I could agree a bit with millard grimes.

Alerted by an article in the L-E on the GA Welcome Center that serves no one coming into Columbus from Alabama, or south and east of Columbus, I noticed the sign out on Williams Road yesterday. Of course what I noticed most was the invitational sign to "Play the GA Lottery Here" if you drove into the driveway. Yeah, that's a good way to welcome visitors and prospects show'em we promote a self-imposed tax on our citizens who can least afford it.
---
L-E headline: " Supporters say drone ban around Capitol goes too far" -- Oooops, my bad, I was hoping that the "drone" was the one Obamageddon and Congresspersons make when speechifying .
