HuffPOOPOO headline: "Pentagon chief on Israel: 'We can agree to disagree" -- Good grief... "agree to disagree"? That's what liberals say whenever they are asked to provide documentation or sources of information to support their "facts"/claims. Translated, it means you've asked me a question I cannot validate with fact, but I'm not going to alter my position because it means you are right, but I don't care.
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Walker remains vague on foreign policy ideas" -- "vague on foreign policy"? Good grief... how would HuffPOOPOO KNOW what real foreign policy is when the HuffPOOPOO gets its position from Obamgeddon?
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Nigerian leader to talk Boko Haram, trade with Obama" -- "trade with Obama"? ooops my bad..but I was hoping.. in fact how about even throwing in Harry Reid, Pelosi, Feinstein, Ginsburg, Sotomayor, Kagan, Breyer, Roberts, Kennedy and deserter Bergdahl in to sweeten the deal...
---
Online story: "In 2011, the US ranked as the fifth most workaholic country, clocking an average of 1,768 hours per year." -- Good grief.. at 40 hours a week, 1,768 hours equals but 44 weeks which pretty much says either the average American either had 8 weeks of vacation, or worked 35 hours a week for 50 weeks and took 2 weeks of vacation. Hmmm.. that sounds more like it, but being an average American means that only about half the Americans are working so... working Americans are having to put in twice those hours of work to "average up" the figures for the Americans not working or even looking for work..What's that saying... figures don't lie, but government liars figure a lot.

HuffPOOPOO headline: "7 Things Jane Fonda Taught Us About Sex After 50" -- The thing she didn't cover was why didn't her parents practice n=better birth control, and we wouldn't be having this conversation...
---
Online headline: "Obama looks to ban Social Security recipients from owning guns" -- Wait a minute.. he and his Secret Service guards aren't in the Social Security plan! Also, most people who get Social Security checks are simply getting back some of what they paid into it... now, I could get behind those who haven't contributed to Social Security being banned from owning guns... that would include illegal aliens, and Secret Service Guards...and Congresspersons..
---
Online headline: "Taught to behead dolls: How ISIS trains the next generation for terror - US-led airdrops shower..." -- Hmmm.. sorta sounds something Democrats will want to add to "Common Core" ... let's call it "Common Corpse"..

After further digestion of the cost overruns associated with all of the City of Columbus, GA's recreational facilities, I think our Council should post the actual revenue figures produced by the city-owned recreational facilities along with the expenses associated with running each, and hold the "Dr"'s feet to the fire to come up with a plan to make them revenue positive.

Let's talk about the British Open:
Let's go Spieth!
From the "correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm wrong, then we've lost the last holdout of amateur sports and the R and A , and USGA will be out of business in rule making department" department - Now, while it's refreshing.. actually more like "exciting", that an amateur golfer. Paul Dunne, is co-leading the Open after round 3, I noticed two things that make me wonder if some sort of endorsement deal has already been made with sponsors that would rule out Dunne being an amateur.
1 - Did you see the golf bag that his caddy was carrying? This was no ordinary bag purchased at Dick's Sporting Goods, or one that the University of Alabama Birmingham provided.. It was a huge Titleist Tour model provided to PGA Tour professionals on its payroll. For sure, it's a cinch Dunne never has toted a round carrying this bag on his own shoulders.
2 - Though it started out cool, by the time yesterday's round was completed, most players had shed their jackets/sweaters before the round was over. Not Dunne.. in fact when Dunne was being interviewed afterwards... inside, I might add, he was still wearing his jacket zipped up to his neck so that the TV cameras would show the brand on his jacket and hat. I found this sorta suspect.. especially in the British Isles where being a gentleman around a golf course is expected.. gentlemen don't wear hats inside.
Other than that, great round, great tournament so far Paul Dunne!
3 - Did anyone figure out the color dress code at St Andrews? The caddies wore bright red and yellow "ponchos" with their player's names on them, and some wore Bermuda shorts, but nearly all the players were wearing black, white , or gray.

Truthful L-E "soundoff": "Hillary stated in her CNN interview that there was never a subpoena for her emails, but it turns out a copy of one from 2012 exists. Liar, liar, pantsuit on fire." -- Truthful for sure, but sadly, it's neither a revelation..nor, unfortunately, not a turnoff, for Democrat voters...
---
Hey, remember when Hillewinsky pressed the "reset" button for Russia? Guess she needed to refresh her command of the Russian language.. I thing she hit the button that read "ReStart" instead...
---
Jonathan Gruber stupid L-E "soundoff": "A reader called Hillary an “arrogant, lying crook.” That’s a good description of Washington politics in general but, according to Fox News, the lying crooks are all Democrats." -- Whoa! Semantics check! I do not think Fox call all liars in Washington "Democrats".. I think Fox rightfully contends that "all Democrats in Washington are liars".
---
L-E story: "According to police, the shooting appears to have stemmed from an argument between people in two cars. * Police say one man left his car and walked over to the other, a gray SUV, to say something. He started back to his car then turned and fired into the windshield striking the driver of the SUV. * A passenger in the SUV then opened fire but police are not sure if anyone was hit. * The driver of the SUV was wounded in the arm." -- How can an incident be described with such detailed yet no mention of details about the people involved? Do we simply have to guess race of the shooter and victim? Or did the L-E just edit those details out of the story?
---
L-E guest commentary: "Commentary: Philadelphia Inquirer * Soccer isn’t playing fair * Carli Lloyd was awarded the Golden Ball as the tournament’s best player, and the (US Women's) team took home $2 million in prize money. * But wait a minute: That’s $33 million short of the prize that the German men’s team collected after winning their World Cup last summer. The U.S. men, who lost in the round of 16, took home $9 million." -- Nanny nanny poo poo! It's a game of salesmanship... Women's sports in genearl have not made themselves as desirable a marketing scheme as comparable men's sports.. there were actually empty seats in all the preliminary women's games... LOTS of empty seats.. if the money is not there, there is not much money to split up.. if women sports teams want better salary structure, then make themselves more appealing to audiences..it's basically that simple. Of course.. the women could go on strike.. but I don't think too many would care enough to make changes that just aren't sitting in the wings..
---
L-E headline: "Obama administration seeks to expand background checks for gun purchases" -- Welll, how about starting on the streets and in the parks of Chicago...one more law is not going to add any more impact than what is already on the books... but easier to execute death penalty sentences for shooting crimes will.

Today is July 20th - In the L-E's "Today in History" feature, we learn that:
In 1861, the Congress of the Confederacy met in Richmond, VA; in 1871, Bristish Columbia became a Canadian Province; in 1917, the WWI draft lottery went into effect; in 1923, Pancho Villa was assassinated; in 1944 an assassination attempt was made on Hitler and FDR was nominated for a 4th term as President; and in 1954, Viet Nam was divided into North and South. Hmmm. I remember July 20th from 1969 when man walked on the moon for the first time.. looks like mainscream media is rewriting history again..
